Another fabulous read in the series. Preacher's story was special to me and I'm only sorry it was a novella. One thing that bothered me was the type of personality that Tena had given the type of person Preacher was. To me, Preacher was a deep thinker with serious convictions. More of an introvert if you will, who didn't spend time on matters that held little substance. However, he was paired with a gal who seemed like a shallow party girl. Tena didn't seem to be serious about anything other than her physical attraction to Preacher. This bothered me. In my opinion, Preacher deserved a more sober and contemplative woman. But, as they say, opposites attract. And Tena's friend Chad was simply a caricature of young gay man. If he said "girlfriend" one more time in the book I would have hurled my Kindle across the room.
Well hell I loved preacher before he became a vamp but then after turning he was just as sweet and sexy as before and was seriously loving him some Tena. These guys in this series are to die for! Jus saying and wondering are we missing something here because these vamps sound delicioso! I think that’s a word, yep pretty sure it is and I want a Preacher pleaseeee! On to the next one folks.😛
This short story is mostly about Preacher (new vampire) and Tena and their desire for each other. There is a tiny bit of drama but it has little to do with the overall story. It was an okay quick read.
Looking for a SEXY, ACTION-PACKED VAMPIRE ROMANCE YOU CAN REALLY SINK YOUR FANGS...I MEAN TEETH INTO? Then look NO FURTHER than Preacher, the next SOns of Sangue story by Patricia A. Rasey! Not only do we get a TON of heart-racing action, we get sizzling romance!, Hot as sin chemistry. I freaking LOVE these books by Miss Rasey something fierce! Not only are these stories seriously addicting, the covers alone will have you wanting to pick up the book.
Only Miss Rasey can write a paranormal romance that will have fans falling over each other to get to the next one. I love how sinful, how dangerous, and how seriously HOT these vampire MC guys are. I fall in lust and love with each one but I have to say Preacher might be the BEST one yet! Damn I am in AWE!
Preacher gets a WICKEDLY GOOD FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its action-packed, full of heart-melting romance and the kind of heat you can only get from The Sons of Sangue series.
I wanted to know more about Preacher when we met him in "Rogue" and he was well worth the wait! Danger, intrigue, passion takes readers on a helluva ride. Preacher leaves his new friends behind, pushed to the limit wanting the heroine in the story, Tena & needing to be alone in order to deal with his new "live". But Tena follows him, driving him nearly insane, and it's edge of one's seat as their journey continues and secrets unfold. Though shorter than I'd like, but in no way is this a bad thing, I really just wanted more of Preacher. Ms. Rasey gave me everything I needed, I just wanted the story to keep going and going ... forever! I fell hard for Preacher. Who knew I'd like a beard so much!!
a quick re-read of the last book in this series prior to starting my review copy of Ryder. This is a well written series with vampires that are very different from the expected norm. Every book brings something new to the story and each of the members have a great back story that enhances the relationships. this series combines two of my fave genres - vampire & outlaw mc and i have loved every book
I wish this story was longer, I want more. Brilliant, I loved it though. Preacher rides to the other side of the country to get his head around becoming a Vampire. Tena follows him and the code is that he is not allowed to divulge the existence of Vampires. They're in love and will probably break the rules. Solid plot, great story and I loved the characters.
Well, she has done it again! I was not disappointed (except for maybe wanting more time with Preacher's sexy ass).
Preacher, a.k.a. Bobby who we met in the 4th Sons of Sangue novel featuring the Anton "Rogue" Balan, is just as sexy and loyal as they come. When we met him in Rogue, I instantly loved him for those qualities and knew he would be one to watch out for, so imagine my happiness when I learn that Patricia is doing a novella for him! Yes!
In Rogue, he was with the Devils, the rival MC that Anton (Rogue) was working undercover against, unbeknownst to him, the Devils, and even his former club, the Sons. Even when Bobby discovered Anton's secret, in the end he betrayed the Devils, being unable to look past the evil he saw, knowing deep down that Rogue was a good man. He saved Rogue, and Kimber (Rogue's love interest), and in turn nearly died for it. The kicker is, Rogue couldn't let a fellow good man, and now friend, die. So, Bobby is now one of the Sons and, a vampire.
Preacher leaves Oregon behind, hoping to come to terms with his new found vampirism, but what he didn't expect is the sexy Tena who he was hardcore crushing during his time in Oregon with Rogue. No, he certainly didn't expect the first woman he's had a hard-on for to pursue him, and give him a reason to accept himself for who he has become, let alone want him after learning about his new identity.
In the process of learning his secret Tena is put in the middle of an incident after Preacher makes a newbie mistake, one that puts his existence as a vampire in jeopardy and in turn puts his new club (the Sons) at risk as well. The little bit of action was just what I needed, there was plenty of sexy time, and of course, love and what I hope will be a full-on HEA once I get the next novel/novella in my hands.
I was glad to read this, and I loved every second of the short and sweet story ;)
"Preacher" by Patricia A. Rasey. Book 4.75 in the Sons of Sangue series.
This novella was first published as part of a box set called "Taming the Vampire". So if you bought that, this is the same story published as a single title.
Aww! I wish this little novella was longer! Bobby (aka Preacher) and Tena are so cute together that I wanted more story for them. But nevertheless, this was a really good novella. A quick and to the point romance with a surprising murder thrown in.
Bobby is a newly turned vampire and a new addition to the Sons of Sangue MC. But he needs time to come to grips with his new life as a bloodsucker. So he leaves town and heads across the country to clear his head. The last thing he ever expected was for Tena to follow him! Especially since she doesn't even know that he's a vampire or that vampires even exist.
Tena is determined to bring Preacher back home. He left without even saying goodbye to her! She knows they had something special between them. They never slept together, but she and Preacher were really getting to know one another. So why would he leave without any explanation? When Tena finds Bobby, the last thing she expected was to find him with another woman!
So that's a really quick glossed over summary of how this novella starts. For such a short story, there is really a lot of emotions that Bobby and Tena go through with each other. Their chemistry together was excellent. As I mentioned, throw in a little murder for excitement, and you have a really good story.
I really liked this addition to the series. Can't wait to read the next book!
Nothing beats a sexy vampire…except maybe a sexy vampire with a motorcycle, tattoos, and a badass MC…
Preacher is on the run…from himself. Traveling from one side of the country to the other after being “changed”, all he wants is some peace and quiet, and time to accept what he has become. In his effort to get away, he has also left behind the woman he craves…but doesn’t think he deserves. The thing is, though, she doesn’t get the memo…
Tena has it bad for Preacher, and when he suddenly takes off across the country on a road trip, she decides to follow. When Tena arrives in Maine, Preacher’s not the only one in for a surprise…
Damn I do love me some vampires…and bikers…the combination of the two is OH SO SEXY! I absolutely adore Preacher. From his name, to his backstory, to his conscience, to his gorgeous self. A true gentleman in the essence of the word, Preacher grabs hold of your heart and refuses to let go. Tena is such a sweet little firecracker, and her choice to follow Preacher across the country speaks to her bravery and strength. The character development was awesome, especially for a novella, which I’ve said before takes a talented author to pull off in the shortened format. The storyline and plot are well thought out, well executed, and quick but thorough for the length of the story. Ms. Rasey is an incredibly talented and intelligent author, and she writes with heart, wit, and strength. I am anxious to see what else she has in store…
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I adore the Sons of Sangue series and this book just made me love the series even more. The author is super super talented and i love the way that she writes, she is able to make is a compulsive read that makes you crave more! She pulls you into a world of her imagination and you don't want to leave. This is a must read for everyone no matter the genre that they normally read, i really can't rate this book high enough and is definitely deserving of the 5*!!!
I loved the storyline to this book you have got to stand behind true love even if it's forbidden...the romantic in me that wants love to succeed!!! I love the tenaciousness of Tena, she is a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants and will do anything to get it especially if it comes to her heart. She is extremely loving, passionate and protective and this shows itself throughout the whole book. I loved Bobby...Deep inside he is truly a gentleman and chivalrous, he wants to protect those that he cares about even if it means walking away to keep them safe.
I really can't wait to find out what happens next in this world and what's going to happen to the characters...Trust me, read this book and you will be dying to know more!!! I would suggest that people read the books previous to this beforehand as the book will made more sense. This is truly an amazing book!!!!
I was given an ARC for my honest review and I still would buy this book even if I hadn't been given a copy. I love this series and Patricia Rasey has knocked out another awesome story.
Preacher aka Bobby he sound familiar? Well if you know the Son's of Sangue series then you know him from Rogue (Anton's story). Preacher was with the Devils seeing past Anton's betrayal and betraying his own MC club to save Anton and Kimber and because of the friendship he had with Anton, Preacher is now one of the Sons. Which I think is just awesome.
Preacher's story is a novella so it's not as long as the other Sons books but it's just as powerful and it made me love Preacher even more. We see Bobby coming to terms with his Vampirism which he was struggling with and decided to leave Oregon so he could come to terms but what he doesn't know is that Tena who has fallen hard has taken her friend Chad on the road to find Preacher.
I loved Preacher and I loved the addition of Tena and Chad as well. It was a great story and I think if you're a fan of the other Sons books you'll be a huge fan of this one as well
Bobby "Preacher" is an interesting charter we are introduced to in book 4 when Anton's "Rogue" story is unfolding. He is just so sexy and loyal and the only devil that Rogue felt might me worth anything. (boy was he right) I was so invested in Preacher and his future by the end of Rogue's story that I did a happy dance when I found out we would learn more about what happens to him. Let me tell you this novella does not disappoint. The action and emotions are all too real.
Tena and Chad (who we also get to know in Rogue) go on a road trip to hunt down the man she fell hard for that disappeared with out so much as a goodbye. Tena is sassy and fun completely perfect to bring Preacher to his senses about trying to hide from the new him. So happy Chad was there to help bring back "Mr. Bear-alicious" Bobby. Chad was just so fun and the friendship he has with Tena and even Kimber is just awesome. Overall a very interesting and entertaining short read.
Note: I originally read this story in the Taming the Vampire boxed collection.
Love this series! Well written (and edited), wonderful world building with a twist on the vampire legend. Strong well-developed characters, sexy hot, a bit of humor thrown in.
Preacher is a much different character than the other Sons of Sangue brothers. He is conflicted with his new “life” and struggling to come to terms with how his immortality fits with his faith. And his attraction to Tena adds to the struggle as he is afraid to reveal what he is to her. I absolutely love Tena. Feisty, bold and not afraid to go after what she wants. No whiny, shrinking violet of a heroine here!
This really is a wild ride. Plenty of adventure, conflict, and sexy time. One of the things I particularly love about Patricia Rasey’s writing is that the sex scenes are hot without being vulgar and always move the story along – never used just to fill pages.
Patricia is one AWESOME Writer and Author. She always goes above and beyond with each book. Keeping you hooked from beginning to end. A must read book and series. You will fall in love with each of the SoS men. SEXY VAMPIRE BIKERS doesn't even cover these guys. In this book you meet Preacher. Preacher, a.k.a. Bobby. From the start Preacher was pulling at your heartstrings. You were just waiting to see where he went. I just loved his book. Tena was a great match for him. This short story was great read. Even though it was short it kept you hooked and wanting more. I can't wait to see where things go from here. A must read series. 5 Thumbs up for Patricia A. Rasey. She knows how to write one hell of a book!!

Preacher This book is just as good as the others in the series..........Preacher had a hard time dealing with him becoming a vampire, that he ran away from his friends and the woman he loved. During his time away, he has learned to deal with what was dealt him and that the woman he loved, loved him no matter what happened to him or what he was..............this is a truly good story and he does get his HEA..............you will not be disappointed in this book
I enjoyed this short chapter in the Sons Of Sangue series.
Preacher and Tena were great characters. They both had a few demons to slay and problems to overcome in this well written story. I felt more connected to Preacher and the way he seemed so torn. He was really compelling before, but now he's trying to reconcile his past and get right with being a vampire. He just tugged at my heart and made it easy for me to get into the story. The author did a super job on this book.
I love this series and enjoyed this latest story. I'm looking forward to the next one.
This story picks up where Rouge left off. I don't know about you, but I felt that Rouge was more than just the story of Rouge and Kimber. It was about Preacher and Tena too. However, Rouge kinda left us on the cliff when it came to them.
Tena goes after her man. Once she gets him to snap out of his head, he gives in. I love when a man gives in to love. I am so happy that now we have that HEA for them. This story brought somewhat of a closure to their story, but inquiring minds want to know how The Sons of Sangue react to Preacher and if they allow Tena to be turned. I guess that is in the next book.......right Patricia? lol
Every member of the Sons of Sange deserve a happy ending. And this is what Preacher got. Though he was trying to get away from Tena to save her from what he too became, - a vamp. Preacher too got his mate in the end. Though we don't know what Kaleb, president to the Sons MC will say, we assume he consents with a little persuasion. The ending though short, leaves one to their imagination. Enjoyed Preacher as a novella, but need a full on storyline to continue capturing the series. Do recommend that you read the series in order. All characters flow through the storyline. Love Paranormal you’ll enjoy Patricia’s creative work.
Not sure what to say about this. Oh I did like it,no doubt about that, I can hardly ever go wrong with one of the Sons of Sangue stories. I just could not decide whether this was a teaser for a future story, or a tying-up-loose-ends from the last book, or just a hell of a cliffhanger? Although the story in itself, the resistance-is-futile between Preacher and Tena, is as good as anything else from Patricia Rasey, this way too short story did end on a kind of cliffhanger, and I just want to know more about those two, what did the Sons decide with regards to them, and and and ....... Still like it though!
This novella may be found in the Taming the Vampire anthology Preacher, how did I end up with such a name. Hell on wheels as a young adult I did find my way to the church. But nothing ever last. Soon I was a member of one of the baddest MCs in Oregon. Now call me Vampire. To know my complete story you must read . And yes, there is a woman involved. Ins't there always. One taste of the sweetest wine and you have to have the bottle. Only I want the case.
Preacher/Bobby is a foster kid, turned preacher turned motorcycle gang member and finally turned vampire motorcycle gang member. Tena is the woman he had a fling with before his becoming a vampire. He runs to figure his crap out in Maine and Tena follows him. A bunch of stupid things happen and then they decide to get together.
I don't like motorcycle gangs by rule and the fact that they said bro every other other word did not endear me to this story.
Preacher is a short story about a man unwilling to accept what he has become. Running away from those who care most about him, he finds himself and his donor on the opposite side of the country. Eventually the person who cares most about him catches up and he must do whatever takes to protect her from what he has become. A short read but a fully complete story. Another excellent Sons of Sangue read.
Preacher rides the line between heaven and hell. Tena has a string of bad relationships and always chooses the wrong man. Will Preacher give them a chance? Will Tena get what she wants?
Absolutely loved getting to see these two find love. I loved how Tena knew what she wanted and went after it. I didn't blame Preacher for being hesitant with everything he had gone through, but loved how once he decided he wanted her, he was all in. Great read and cannot wait to read the next in the series!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Preacher leaves the MC club to come to terms with becoming a vampire and to try to forget the 1 female he can't get out of his head. He never thought that Tena would follow him and now things get bad when Preacher defends a woman but leaves a body and his female gets questioned.
I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This is a book of the Sons of Sangue series by the author.
Action packed and fast paced, this novella packs a heavenly punch as Preacher comes to terms not only with what he has become, but with the one woman that sees him for what he is, and offers unconditional love for the first time in his life. Awesome read!
