Bakar Puran' is a biography of all those bachelor guys who leave their homes for cities like Delhi and become a part of the city. The pages of this book contain stories of every bachelor who fell in love, did stupid things and discussed India's foreign policy at the neighbourhood tea stall.'Bakar Puran' is the past, present and the future of those bachelors which will always be the same. The language and style has the realism of a bachelor pad. Here, there is no garb of elitism in expression. Whatever it is, it just is.

I was under the false expectations of a literary novel. But it turns out to be the random contents of a facebook page called 'Bakar Adda'. Only suitable for a lighter brainless read.
It has its funny moments picked up from a desperate bachelor guy's life. But it has an overdose of lame content too... like dissecting meaning of Bollywood songs and Buddha modern philosophy!
Can't complain as the title clearly says it all :D
Overall not a boring read... still a big NO!

‘बकर पुराण’ से हिन्दी साहित्य से मेरी दुबारा भेंट हुई। बचपन में पढ़े गये कुछ हिन्दी उपन्यासों के बाद ये पहला मौका था जब किसी हिन्दी पुस्तक (कोर्स की किताबें छोडकर) से सामना हुआ। मेरे लिये ‘व्यंग्य’ का मतलब बस अखबार और इंडिया टुडे का एक कॉलम था। ‘बैचलर व्यंग्य’ जैसा अनोखा शब्द देख कर पढ़ने की इच्छा होना स्वभाविक था। फ़ेसबुक पर किताब के कुछ अंश देख कर लगा नहीं था कि किताब का सार गम्भीर होगा।

‘बकर पुराण’ एक टाइम मशीन की भांति काम करती है जहाँ हर एक युवा पाठक खुद को कहानी से जुड़ा हुआ पाता है। स्कूल की हुड़दंग से लेकर होली की मस्ती तक, दोस्त की पहली डेट से लेकर ‘क्यूटियापा’ सप्ताह तक लेखक ने युवा पाठकों को घटनाओं में पिरो दिया है। आप पढ़ेंगे और एक चार आने की मुस्कान आपके चेहरे पर फूट पड़ेगी कि हाँ! आपने भी ऐसा ही किया था!

बुद्ध आनंद संवाद वर्तमान ‘रिलेशनशिप्स’ की बखिया उधेड़ता है। वर्तमान कलियुगी समाज के युवा ‘कूल डूड्स’ भी लेखक के निशाने पर रहे हैं। ‘मॉडर्नाइज़ेशन’ की आंधी में युवाओं की सोच के खोखला होने पर लेखक ने प्रहार किया है।

‘बकर पुराण’ खाली समय में पढने की चीज़ है। आप हरेक काम निबटा लें, आराम से निश्चिंत होकर पढें। समय के बीतने का पता भी नहीं चलेगा। हँसाते मुस्कुराते ‘बकर पुराण’ सोचने को मजबूर कर जाती है।

जैसे की टाइटल में ही लिखा है बकर पुराण , तो बस बकचोदी ही है , एक बैचलर लौंडे के पर्सपेक्टिव से likhe गए फेसबुक पोस्ट्स का रैंडम कलेक्शन है .
सेंस ऑफ़ हुमूर काफी बढ़िया है , कुछ पोस्ट्स वाकई में अचे लगे मुझे , बत्रा सिनेमा में मूवी देखने का एक्सपीरियंस, फ़िल्मी सांग्स का सरकास्टिक विश्लेषण .बिहार की रेल यात्रा अच्छे चैप्टर्स थे.
रोज डे , hug day etc. भी ठीक थे , पर लास्ट का बुद्धा आनंद संवाद मुझे निहायत ही बचकाना लगा . i felt that the author had tried to pull a very sacred and religious conversation to a very low level while making buddha eat chocolate fudge and all.
but overall its a light good funny way to read.

These are not usual stories by Ajit Bahrti, Infact these are sahitya.
I loved the whole book. What impressed me is the way of writing and language author used.
Some of the stories are like out of this world means so hilarious and funny and so true that u can't regret it accepting the fact that it never happened to you.
These are funny, to be read around when you are sitting with old friends or bachmates.
To everyone and for everyone, this book should be read once by all. You laugh upon its language and u"ll enjoy it throughly.

This book deserves the high rating. It may lack coherency of any literature, but it entertains you. Any young reader can connect with it, Some stories(basically sarcasm mixed with reality ) was really very nice. A kind of one read, if you want to remember your bachelor days, then this is a book.

It is a sarcasm but never so lewd or loud, Writer has chosen every appropriate word to describe things and feeling, it is a contemporary fiction in a real sense. Would love to read another book of him.

बैचलर फ़ोकस्ड होता है,वो एक बार में एक ही चीज़ देखता है।दूध नहीं है तो दौड़कर जाएगा।फिर आएगा और पाएगा कि चायपत्ती भी नहीं है।फिर दौड़कर जाएगा लेकिन ये नहीं देखेगा कि चीनी भी तो ख़त्म नहीं हो गई।"
अजीत भारती की लिखी 'बकर-पुराण' में इस तरह के बैचलर जीवन की रोज़मर्रा की कई बातों का ब्योरा है..साथ ही कई अलग-अलग क़िस्म की बातें भी इसमें पढ़ने मिल सकती हैं जैसे फ़िल्मी गानों की सप्रसंग व्या��्या,जो शायद गीतकार ने भी गीत लिखते समय ना सोची होगी..कुछ बिलकुल आम-सी लगने वाली बातें,जिन्हें इस तरह से लिखा गया है यूँ लगता है जैसे लेखक ने काफ़ी शोध किया है।कुछ चीज़ें तो अजीब होने की हद तक जाती हैं लेकिन ये कहना सही होगा कि इस तरह लिखने के लिए भी एक अलग क़िस्म का ज्ञान लगता होगा,उसके बिना फ़िज़ूल की बातों में इस तरह व्यंग्य और रस लाना मुश्किल है।ख़ैर शुरुआती पन्ने पढ़ते हुए लगा क्यों पढ़ रही हूँ इसे?..लेकिन पढ़ते-पढ़ते अच्छा भी लगा..तो 'यथा नाम तथा गुण' है ये किताब।

This bachelor literature started off well... actually great!
You can feel it... The reality.
A person can truly relate to each of the instances - at hostel, at college, in market or at home. Love has been described in quite a detail... with the valentine week being given a dedicated section. Then the book started losing its charm. With fictional characters, the concept changed to more like a blog... distributing your gyaan...

इस किताब को पढ़ते वक्त मन इसी असमंजस मे रहा कि आखिर 'हिन्द युग्म' ने इसे पब्लिश क्योँ किया है?

लेखक अजीत भारती को सुना है, अच्छे वक्ता हैं, पुस्तक अमेज़न किंडल अनलिमिटेड पर उपलब्ध थी, अच्छी रेटिंग थी, इसलिए इस पुस्तक को उठाया।

इसे पढ़ने के बाद मेरा मानना है कि इस पुस्तक के 90 प्रतिशत हिस्से को सिर्फ फेसबुक पोस्ट तक सिमित रह जाना चाहिए था। लेखक ने भी शायद अपने फेसबुक पोस्ट का संकलन कर के ही उसे छपवा दिया।

एक होता है उपन्यास, एक होती हैं शार्ट स्टोरीज कलेक्शन, लेकिन ये क्या है कुछ समझ नही आया। बिना किसी ओर-छोर की छोटे फेसबुक पोस्ट्स। आप इनकी कहानी पढ़ें और अंत हो जाए, उसके बाद भी ये समझना मुश्किल होगा कि इसमे ऐसा क्या बताना था जो पन्नों पे इसे उतारना पड़ा।

उदहारण के तौर पे, लेखक कई कहानियों मे इमफीसाइज कर के बताते रहते हैं कि इनकी बहुत सी महिला मित्र थी और इनके दोस्त लड़की से मिलवा दो, दोस्ती करवा दो, दिलवा दो ऐसे डिमांड करते रहते थे, कहानी इसी से शुरू होकर इसी बात पर खत्म हो जाती है ।

मित्र मण्डली मे कुछ ऐसे मित्र होते हैं जो कभी भी कोई भी अपना पुराना संस्मरण सुनाने लगते है, जिसका अन्य बातों से कोई सम्बन्ध नही होता, और उनके उस संस्मरण से आनंद बस उनको ही आ रहा होता है। कुछ वैसी ही है ये पुस्तक।

मजे की बात है की अमेज़न पे इसकी रेटिंग काफ़ी अच्छी है। शायद साहित्य काफ़ी एडवांस लेवल पर पंहुच गया है, जो हम जैसे लोगों के लिए अभी रीच से बाहर है। बहरहाल, पुस्तक के प्रस्तावना का शीर्षक ही है कि बकर पुराण हिन्दी साहित्य की नई विधा है।

पढ़ कर देखें अगर कुछ पन्ने पढ़ने के बाद मन न करे तो खामखा परेशान न हों, ये किताब नहीं व्यक्ति का genre(जौनरा;⁠) है अगर आपने इन कहानियों के इर्द गिर्द जिया है तो संपूर्ण मुस्कान के साथ किताब रखेंगे खत्म कर । मेरा मानना है reviews बिना देखे पढ़ने लायक साहित्य है(ये आप तय करेंगे) एक नई तरीके का व्यंग है, reviwes बस अपने अपने narrative की summary है, आप अपनी बनाएं 🙏

अजीत भारती ने इस किताब में कई बेहतरीन तीर चलाए। बत्रा सिनेमा तो मेरे साथ ही बस गया है। हमारे दहिसर में भी बत्रा सिनेमा है, जहाँ हम सलमान की वांटेड देखने गए थे। लिखते रहिए।

Interesting take by someone I know. The book has vivid observations about Delhi and common India. Living in lofty buildings and high-class societies, many of us don't ever get to experience the other parts of India, which are possibly larger than our niche.
