One last job…

The patrons of Totally Five Star Chamonix would be stunned to find out that beautiful, sophisticated and elegant Ana Meier is not there for the social event of the year. Once a thief, she has been forced back into the life for one final mission.

Unexpected…

When Rhys Stone lays eyes on Ana again, there’s no doubt in his mind that the fire between them still smolders. He’s willing to do just about everything to convince her that they’re good together…except tell her the truth about what he’s been doing during their time apart.

Inevitable…

Seeing the love of her life alive and being faced with all the lies between them aren’t complications she anticipated, but Ana isn’t going to let him get in her way. Not when the success of this job means saving the son Rhys knows nothing about.

Even loving Rhys isn’t going to stop her from going through him if she must.

For now, she’s settled in England where she spends most of her time plotting, scribbling ideas on every available scrap of paper and trying out dialogue on her cat.

4.5 dangerous, Mission Impossible-type stars for FAKING IT!

Ana Meier isn't at the Totally Five Star Chamonix to socialize with the crème de la crème. She's on a mission to steal a valuable diamond as quickly as possible. When she sees former lover Rhys Stone, very much ALIVE, she's confused…and furious! How could he leave her alone for so long to raise the baby he knows nothing about! Ana can't keep her eye off the prize though, she's got to get that diamond, and fast, because the threat to her baby is very real. But she's not the only one who wants that bauble, and that includes her former lover. Can the two work together and also reconnect in the process?

I always love Ms. Gamble's work, and FAKING IT, a fabulous book in the Totally Five Star series, is no exception! FAKING IT was a wild ride from page 1, with a lover (and baby daddy) resurrected from the dead, a big-ass diamond with a secret drug formula etched onto it, multiple people at a swanky Totally Five Star resort who want said diamond and lots of hot "I thought you were dead!" sex.

Ana and Rhys had the kind of connection that makes erotic romance worth reading, and you could really feel Ana's devastation and incredulity at being duped. Rhys didn't seem to understand why she was so upset with him for being "dead" for 2 years…typical man. But he got his in the end. I can't wait for more in this series!

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; no condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; violence/murder. - See more at: http://www.theromancereviews.com/view...

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

I have read many of the books in the series, and enjoyed them all. This one is quite different as the Hotel is a setting, but really nothing more than that. The leads are guests there, not otherwise associated with the Total brand.

It is a really rather good romantic suspense, which has an interesting twist. I was minded to think of bits of Entrapment but it was much richer than that in its romantic elements and ethical stance. Ana has good reason not to trust people, and it turns out that Rhys may be should not be trusted ever again. However, he works hard to prove himself worthy of her, and a future together. He uses every tool he can to seduce and convince her.

Definitely a good story, and the perfect length.
