In his book on the American jobs dilemma, the author examines some of the problems that the action of the American middle class has brought upon itself. He comments on how we have allowed institutions to grow too-big-to-succeed while focusing on those that are too-big-to-fail. He asks, why have we let our politicians pit Americans against each other with a rancorous class warfare agenda, why is the stuff we use every day from toothpicks to tractors made someplace else and why are the President and Congress unable to solve our jobs crises. He has an interesting theory regarding why Main Street has disconnected from Wall Street. Why do we give our Social Security contributions along with our employer's to the government instead of keeping them in individual accounts. Andy proposes a Commit to America plan that focuses on providing private sector jobs and streamlining government. "The sad fact is that the middle class is devouring the middle class."
"The nasty 2%, while the middle class has been devouring itself, is doing what they always have done. They have invested in the companies that have prospered by the actions and needs of the middle-class masses."
"Let’s not make the same mistake with Hillary. We don’t need another frenzy of conscience just to check off the box on some sort of national bucket list that says we have elected a female president."
"We have put a man in charge of our country that most of us wouldn’t trust to be in charge of our 401(k)s." "Some believe that raising minimum wage workers wages would have no consequence to the middle class. Don't bet on it." "Home Depot, Apple, Walmart, eBay, Facebook, Pandora, and Amazon are the darling five-hundred-pound gorillas, but they’re also economic thugs and large job killers in our local economies." "The President should have given the ACA website project to The National Security Agency. Just enter your phone number, e-mail address or the last four numbers of your social and the NSA would complete your application in detail, select your appropriate plan and deduct the premium from your bank account."
