*MILES is a standalone romance with a guaranteed HEA* Meet the Croft brothers. Filthy rich, devastatingly handsome, and sexy as all hell… MILES I don’t do emotional entanglements. And I sure as hell don’t get close enough to any woman to propose marriage. But my recently deceased father wanted to screw with me, and he picked the perfect way to do it…by forcing me to get married if I want to take over the family business. So I guess I’ll have to just buy someone off and make her go along with the program. That’s where Jordyn comes in. Financially strapped? Check. She’s a receptionist I just fired when I bought out her little company. Innocent and teachable? Check. The girl is a blank slate who I can mold into perfect wife material. Sexy as hell? Double check. Every time I see her, all I can do is think about being inside her, feeling her, touching her, making her scream my name. And that leads to my biggest sin yet. Because it turns out the one thing I didn’t plan for was falling in love.
This book is told with a dual POV and does have a HEA, but you are left with questions at the end that I'm assuming are finished in the last brother's book. The book does end around 50% of the way through and the remaining 50% is another author's work, which I did not read.
I had a hard time getting into the characters of this book. There's no development of secondary characters (until the h family at the end), there's no real interaction between the two main characters and anyone else. At the beginning of the book, your introduced to the h's roommates who are supposedly her friends, but she never speaks to them again after leaving the house (and they are awful friends, in my opinion). The book is basically 10% introduction, 60% sex, 20% the H being an ass, and 10% resolution/epilogue.
I will read the third book because I'm pretty sure I know what will happen with the company, but want to know for sure.
The Croft Brother Series continues with Miles entering into an 'agreement' with Jordyn to make it look like he is in a committed relationship so that he will be the one to take over his Father's company. Seems pretty easy to Miles because he makes million dollar deals all the time; it's just business...or so he thinks! Jordyn is like no one he has ever met before and he wasn't prepared for how quickly she got under his skin and into his heart. His desire for Jordyn is insatiable! He can't keep his hands off of her but caring for someone is a character flaw his Father has always drilled into him and his brothers. Nothing and no one matters more than being successful. The more time Miles & Jordyn spend together the more he realizes that success is only great when you share it with the people you love and up until now that was no one for Miles; not even his own family. But there is only so many times you can push someone away before they finally have enough and walk away; and Jordyn did just that. As for what happens next, you will just have to read it and find out...you won't be disappointed! The sex scenes between them are hot...hot...hot and will leave you panting and in a puddle. Fantastic sexy read :) :) I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and originally posted this on another website on December 13, 2016.
To start with let me say that in the past few months I have noticed the kindle unlimited books are not just one book. How n the heck are we suppose to give a rating on the Original book title where are 2,3, sometimes more short books within this (supposedly) one book!? I am very disappointed in the new trend. I hope it doesn't continue because it is really turning g me off. Another thing I noticed in the bookS I know I have read this particular novellas before under a different title. You see for about 2 1/2 years now since borrowing books with kindle unlimited...I have a notebook that I keep and number and write the name of each book and put my rating next to it. Little crazy maybe but it is true. This book was my 725 book I have read with KU. I just went back to page 1 #1 in my notebook and I don't have any of these (mini) books on my list. I did notice in one of the other reviews for book ONE that someone said it seemed like they had read the book before also so is why when I started reading this one I knew the ending. I think this is weird IF this is a coincidence and if not this is just wrong. I would be really ticked off if I had actually paid for these books separately. JMO. Great story, but spelling errors are unacceptable. This book deserves at least 3 stars. I gave it 1 star for no other reason than the spelling errors. If you are best selling author, there is reason for spelling errors. I hope the third book in the series has better proof reader.
Paige North is a wonderful author. Loved her series of the Croft brothers. Rex, Miles, and Jackson are competing to be CEO of their father's company per his will. They will states the first one to be married would run the company. Enjoyed this book about the middle brother just as much as the two books about the other brothers.
Wow, great job to author. First book (elder brother Jackson), was a great book. This book has not disappointed me. Fantastic storyline and different from first book, great characters and ending. Now I am more then ever excited to read the last book in baby brother Rex. I am hopeful the mystery reveals the call from the attorney.
This one started off ok but then ventured into the mediocre and didn't really get interesting again until about the 80% mark. Ok, let's be honest, the mediocre middle was basically porn, just gratuitous sex scenes. The Kindle edition I read was full of typos and grammatical errors, and at one point the name of a minor character was changed.
Miles is a very sexy book! These characters are great examples of hope and denial. I very much enjoyed the story but will have to wait until Rex's story comes out to find out what's going on and with those boy's father who knows!? Can't wait
This was such an enjoyable book. The storyline was intense with Miles struggling with his emotions. The drama he put her through was harsh but in the end love conquers all.
I chose this rating because this was a really great book. The characters were very interesting. Miles was a real a##whole at first, with know feelings whatsoever. There dad did a number on him and his brothers. Jordyn fell in love with him at first sight I believe. I really loved the way he went after his lady, when he realized he was in love with her. Great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers.
I honestly don't know why I liked this book so much. I had a total love hate relationship with the H. But, good authors can make a book, and yes, it was steamy but the character development kept me intrigued.
Miles is hot and cold, super affected by the cold way in which he was brought up. But written in a way that your on the edge of your seat to see if he ever figures it out. Their is a sex/love scene in this book that honest to god is so beautiful that what happens next just gutted me. The author, IMO gave him the perfect h. She was full of patience, love and fun.
Again, the ending was great. I look forward to the next book but this is a new author for me, so now I need to go get caught up on the first in the series. Well done.
I have basically the same review for this as I did for Jackson (Book 1 in the series) it's really not a standalone book and while it does have a HEA, it also has exactly the same cliffhanger that book 1 had. It would be nice if the author properly disclosed this information. I do agree with other reviews that in many ways this is Jackson's story just in a different city, and with way more sex. While the sex scenes are extremely hot, the grammatical, spelling errors and missing words is very distracting.
Hot sexy billionaire who meets his match when he has to fire her. He doesn't know what hits him when she's had the worst day of her life and when he tells her she can clean out her desk, boy does she let him have it. Cute story, but ends with a cliffhanger. Worth the read.
I have read quite a few books with this plot, but none was actually this good. Miles is cold and rough and a bit of an asshole at the first time. Jordyn is one of those girls who you have to love, no matter what. She has something about herself that makes you do that.
It had a lot of sex, intense, effing hot sex. I wanted to punch Miles when he shoved the contract in her face. However, we still do not find out who is the "happy" owner of the Croft company. So, if you want to find out, you have to read the next book. It's a minor aspect, you can still read this book no matter what.
These Croft brothers are fantastic. I can't wait for the next book. There is a cliffhanger at the end just like the first book. Jordyn and miles are great together and I like the push and pull that brought them together. Him finally figuring out what love is makes a great book. A great read with a bonus read as well. Hurry up next book, I have to see why they are all called to LA!
Miles you are truly something else. This book was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't like the way he treated Jordyn he was hot and cold and passionate one minute. I understood he was conflicted as well. Edward Crofton is truly a class act, such a conniving father. Funny how the book ended cannot wait for Rex's book to see the conclusion of this scandalous tale. The series is worth reading.
This book was a great read. I ve never read a book by this author but read both books today and can't wait to read the next one. The Croft brothers need to be shown love and quit making everything a competition and just enjoy life. Finding someone to share their lives with that really mean something to them not just to win the companies.
Not the most exciting read a really quite typical storyline, playboy billionaire tamed by feisty female lots of hot sex and a happy ever after, that's the book summed up. This one is very slightly better than the first book but both are fairly mundane.
I am really enjoying the Croft Brothers series! I wonder how many actual well to do families pull this wild stuff on their people. I bet more than we can know. Can't wait to start reading Rex!
The first thing to say about this book is the amount of appalling grammatical errors and mistakes littered throughout it, it makes reading very difficult. The story wasn't bad, very typical of its genre and apart from the grammar issues I enjoyed it.
