This is a captivating and good children's Bible with coloring pages from several of the stories, but at the same time it's also quite full of text. I read the Norwegian translation for my kids, and it's in some cases somewhat sloppily translated from English, but it is nevertheless easily understandable and uses a simple Bible translation that is incorporated into simple and short versions of well-known Bible stories. This children's Bible also deals with several Bible stories that are not usually found in other children's Bibles I've read, such as the story of Job. At the same time, some of the stories, especially from the New Testament, may have a too many place names for children to keep track of. All in all, a good children's Bible, which ranks among my top 5.

My 8 year old daughter and I have been reading this version of the Bible together, and we LOVE it! We take turns reading a chapter/section. She has enjoyed reading and getting closer to Jesus and God. We have discussions after each story to make sure she understands what we have read. She loves her Bible from her Nana. She chooses this Bible over the rest of her books at bedtime. I think that it is also a bonus that she gets to color the pages along the way.
