Ricky Fleet writes great zombie books and this is his first novel away from that genre and WOW! he does not disappoint. Malachi has terrifying visions of evil, death and everlasting torture. These night terrors started after he was placed in an orphanage at the age of 12 after the death of his parents, because of this he has pretty much closed himself off from close relationships except for his best friend Kevin and his elderly neighbour Miss Cortez. A chance meeting with a young woman Chloe changes his life forever. There are many factions fighting for control including Syndicate Nation, the chosen fathers and The Jamaican Defense Force and Malachi with his friends get thrust right into the middle of it. He discovers that besides the visions, he also has healing powers, telekinetic abilities and more powers will emerge as he is the savior of the human race. This book moves at a steady pace with lots of action and a few great twists. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the supernatural/horror genre. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. Way to go Ricky Fleet!

6 stars???

Having read Ricky Fleets Hellspawn series, I decided to try this and wow I'm so glad I did! Its by far one of the best books I've read this year and I'm at almost 300!! This gripping tale is clearly only just beginning as it leaves you desperate for more. The British setting is great as are the realistic characters and relationships. Ricky takes you into different places with ease with amazing descriptions and imagery. The world and evil entities within this story are second to non. What a triumph

In the eternal battle between good and evil, Ricky brings us an ordinary guy who does the right thing. Malachi is the ultimate hero. Down to earth, has had an awful life but still goes out there and stops bad people from doing evil things. There are scenes where I had tears in my eyes and when I was cheering for Malachi and that is what I look for in a book, a character who I can emotionally buy into. Well done Ricky, I look forward to the sequel.

A new hero in town

The book follows the life of a young man who's been thrust into a reluctant hero role. He's handsome fit kind caring and traumatised at night! Read it if you like a good story with your thrills.

This is book is a departure from Ricky's zombie books . In this book he takes us on a ride that is so terrifying . Let me introduce you to Malachi , he has been plagued with terrifying dreams all of his life . He is a very special man that can save the world from the evil older then time . He just doesn't know it yet . Will he be able to survive the forces that wanting to bring on Armageddon

The characters in the story are so very complex . Malachi is the shy quiet type that is harbouring a dark secret. He has basically closed himself off from the world . The terrifying dreams he has had . has kept him from ever finding love . He is the character you want to wrap up and bubble wrap and keep safe. He is such a sweet caring guy and trust me you will fall for him He becomes a stronger character as you read the book . You feel his pain and you celebrate when he is happy .

Chloe is the woman that he finally falls in love with, he is her hero after saving her from three a holes . She helps him fight the people wanting him to use him . There are so many characters in this book the good guys and the evil and I mean really evil ones. They are all apart of what makes Malachi and Chloe who they are .

I really enjoyed reading this book , it is such a departure from his other books . Ricky takes us on a emotional rollercoaster of a ride with this book . It moves at a steady pace and has some twists that you will not see coming . I must say though the beginning of the book had me a bit confused but after I got through the first chapter everything became much more clearer and the story just flowed from there . So if you want a great book that will scare you and make you think at the same time . Check our Infernal , Emergance

Malachi’s destiny was chosen long ago. Long before, when evil was planning it’s taking over all that is good. How can this man, who has no idea what is in store for him fight this power? The answers lie in his dreams that started when he was a young boy and also in this story. As a fan of Ricky Fleet, I wasn’t sure if I would like a story by him written in the fantasy genre but decided to take a chance and I am so happy that I did! Yes, it’s a fantasy novel but it is so much more. It is a story of good versus evil, friendship and trust. I think even if you do not read this genre you will enjoy this well written and enjoyable story. Take a chance as I did and get it for yourself. I know you won’t be sorry as you find out along the way who will win this war. I am so looking forward to book two in this series!
