And Best Friend Makes Three By Lynn LaFleur
A teasing remark from his best friend reminds Eric McFarland of his college days, when sex was wild and plentiful. Now happily engaged to Brenna West, Eric has no desire to be with any other woman.
When that best friend, Keith Dillard, pays a visit, Eric decides to turn Keith's teasing remark into reality.
Brenna loves Eric with all her heart and wants no other man. Yet when Eric says he and Keith want to give her one night of incredible passion and pleasure, she can't possibly turn down their generous offer.

Lady's Choice By Cricket Starr
Lija is a woman on a mission...to get at least one night of fun before she has to marry someone she doesn't really want. Gehon and Jackon are Zelion warriors working as space traders, and meeting Lija is a dream come true...sort of. Zelion men can only be fertile with their "true mate" a woman who matches them. They know her when they see her, taste her, and touch her, and once committed to her, will be faithful to her forever. The good news is that Lija is a true mate. The bad news is that she's the true mate for both of them and Zelion warriors aren't real good about sharing. The Zelions set up a sexual competition to win her hand, but in the end it is the "Lady's Choice" that will rule the day.

Saving Sarah By Michele Bardsley
A couple marred by tragedy indulges in a night of passion to redeem their marriage - and the lost soul of the handsome ghost who shares their bed. But the evil that almost destroyed them all a year ago still lurks in their lives, and it wants revenge...

Also publishes as Janet Miller.

During the weekday Janet Miller, sometimes better known as Cricket Starr, is a mild-mannered software engineer who writes code and design documents. But at night and on weekends she turns to the creation of offbeat stories about imaginary pasts, presents, and futures, where ladies become warriors, or go to the stars to find love, and a man really can save a struggling software company.

But no matter when the story happens, or where the hero or heroine is, there will always be adventure, humor, and meaning to the tale.

Her writing has won her multiple awards, recommended reads, stars, unicorns, and hearts and even a couple of trophies that look really good on her bookshelf next to her printed books.

Lady's Choice
Out of the 3 short stories this was surprisingly better than the other two. Lija the heroine was engaged to be married to a Prince of a neighboring planet had wanted to have one last night of fun before she marries. Gehon and Jackon are two Zelion warriors, best friends and business partners. As Zelions, they mate with their one "true" and can only be fertile with her; they'll know her when they see her, taste her, and touch her. Unfortunately for them, they both recognized their true mate in Lija and will have to learn to share.
The story was short and quick and was actually an entertaining read. Since it was in the sci-fi genre, the reader was able to "dive" into the world the author created.

And Best Friend Makes Three
Another quick story about a couple who have been dating for one year and celebrating the milestone. Eric is a real estate broker who met Brenna while she was searching for a home. They eventually dated, fell in love and after 1 year Eric proposes marriage. Eric and Brenna have a healthy sexual relationship and Eric would do anything to please his future wife, including initiating a Menage so Brenna could experience being with two men. The convenience of a visit from his best friend, Keith, since their college days - was the perfect set-up.
This was another quick story that features a loving couple, newly engaged and as a wedding present, the future initiates a Menage after his friend jokingly suggests it. What started out as a great romance with a loving couple was poorly soiled by throwing in the third. There was no real connection between Keith and Brenna except for the sex and it didn't seem fitting on how the story started. No real story to it, just a man reliving his college days with his buddy and making the excuse that the "pleasure" was all for her...yeah, right!

Saving Sarah
A married couple has gone through a tragedy - as a last resort to save their marriage, the husband seeks the help of a witch. This story had the element of paranormal. The couple will get assistance in healing their marriage by a ghost.
Sarah was raped by two men and for over a year has shut down. She loves her husband, but can't get through the nightmares and the trauma she endured. They have not made love in over a year and Ben her husband would do anything to get her back.
This could have been a good story if it was longer. It didn't make sense why a ghost, Dunly (given 3 days to be human again) would be the one to assist in Sarah's healing. She has easily has sex with Dunly, when she couldn't have sex with her husband Ben. When Ben is asked to "accept" this he agrees to a Menage. You would think he would be P-off that his wife "cheated" (which I find this true, since he was NOT there the first time Sarah and Dunly had sex!). Unbelievable characters and the plot was weak.

This is an erotic romance anthology I picked up from paperbackswap cleverly titled "Two Men and A Lady". You'll never guess what it's about . . .

The first story "Lady's Choice" by Cricket Starr is a space opera of sorts. Gehon & Jackson are very good friends and both Zelion's which apparently means they can only procreate with one particular woman, their "true". And once they've found this woman and mated with her they can never become aroused by another woman again. So if their "true" shuns them they're crap out of luck. When they meet Lija, who is just out for a night of fun, both men realize she is their "true". They both bed her and she must decide who she's going to keep (or not). The plot was lame, it was set in space to work out what there was of a plot but the non-existent world building irritated me. There was so little room for characterization which made the eroticism rather "eh, who cares?". It heated up a bit near the end but I still could've cared less and the rest of the story was a bit dull. I may or may not read the rest. Depends on my tolerance level for self torture this week . . .

"And Best Friend Makes Three" by Lynn LaFleur
This story was much better written than the previous one and though the plot was thin, gorgeous hunk decides to give his love a very special present in the form of a night of pleasure with him and his best friend, it was enjoyable and the love between the couple was shown not just told.

"Saving Sara" by Michele R. Bardsley
This one is much darker in tone than the two before it. It features white magic, ghosts and a woman recovering from a soul destroying rape. It was well written but the rape memories were too dark for me and I just couldn't finish it.

This one I've read in fits & starts, simply due to lack of time. Perhaps that has affected my opinion, not sure. Have only read a couple of anthologies, usually in between series books, when I'm looking for something light and short. Overall I guess I'd give this three and a half stars if I could. It's ménage erotica, so maybe I'm a bit critical because my first foray into ménage books was the Nights In Bliss series by Sophie Oak, and they were single books which gave the author space to develop the characters, so there was a story in addition to the sexual side. Anthologies don't have the time or space for that, so you have to cut the authors some slack for having to cram their stories into a short space. However, some do it better than others I think.

The first story 'Lady's Choice' by Cricket Starr was a Sci-Fi, and I was surprised that it was an okay read, because truthfully, Sci-Fi is not a subject I'm really into in a big way. I'd give this one 3 stars I think, it held my interest fairly well.

Next was 'And Best Friend Makes Three' by Lynn Lafleur. This is a contemporary ménage, and it's not a permanent one, but all parties were happy with that arrangement, so you aren't left feeling sorry for the temporary party. For me this was an okay read too, and I would give this story 3 stars as well.

The last story is 'Saving Sara' by Michelle R. Bardsley. This one is quite a bit darker, especially at the start, but I enjoyed this story the most...not because of the darker aspect, but because it had more of a story line, at least it did for me. I would give this one 4 stars.

Anthologies are quick reads, and I doubt I would read this one again, but I did enjoy the read overall.

Not a bad collection. Obviously the theme was 2 men, 1 woman. Otherwise there was no other connecting theme. 1 was contemporary regular. 1 was sci fi. And 1 was urban fantasy.

It kind of bugs me when it's like that...

Lady's Choice By Cricket Starr
I really enjoyed. There wasn't really anything I didn't like about it. I think the bad guy was a little moustache twirling, but eh, it wasn't horrible. I think I liked this one the most out of the three stories.

And Best Friend Makes Three By Lynn LaFleur
Also enjoyable, but I felt that the ending was cut really short. When it finished I was honestly like "well, that was abrupt."

Saving Sarah By Michele Bardsley
I didn't like this one at first. Very depressing. If I had wanted to read a Rape survivor story, I would have sought one out. However, I did end up liking it in the end.

Starting off with Lady’s Choice by Cricket Starr, we read the story of Zelion warriors Gehon Avermoe, Jackon Overton and Manalija (Lija) L’Lautgiga of Axona. Jackon and Gehon have known each other for years and are as close as brothers...
