About the author

Madhan whose real name is Maadapoosi Krishnaswamy Govinda Kumar, is a famous Tamil cartoonist, journalist, writer and film critic who works for Ananda Vikatan magazine, a leading Tamil weekly. Though his native is Thanjavur, he was brought up in Chennai. He did his schooling at Triplicane Hindu School and his college education at Vivekananda College, Chennai. During 1970s, he started his career as cartoonist at Ananda Vikatan magazine. Later he was assistant editor of Ananda Vikatan and Junior Vikatan. He also answers to the questions asked from the readers in Hi Madhan in Ananda Vikatan which is very popular and informative. He anchored a program in SUN TV channel in 1999, answering viewer's questions in various fields specially science and history. He wrote the dialogue for Anbe Sivam, a 2003 film in which he also had a brief appearance, and is the author of Vandhargal Vendrargal, an account of Mughal rule in India. He is also author of Manithanukkul Mirugum series in Ananda Vikatan which was later released as book. He also anchored a popular movie review programme named "Madhan's Thirai Paarvai" in Star Vijay television. He is currently anchoring the film review programme called "Madhan's Talkies" in the Tamil channel Jaya TV. He's the only film critic in the world who uses a cartoon to represent a film. He was also closely associated with writer Sujatha.
He started his own Tamil magazine 'Vin Naayagan' in association with Salem Vinayaka Mission group. But they stopped the publication of this magazine within a year of launch (1999).
Listening to the music of maestro Ilayaraaja, Jagjit Singh, Mozart, he used to read books till 2am. His wife Jayanthi is from Kumbakonam. He has two daughters, Divya and Amidha. He has also written "Manidhanum Marmangalum" and "KiMu -KiPi". Both have a wide range of information about supernatural powers and the history of mankind.
He is anchor for famous TV pragram called "Naalaya Iyakunar". He is a wonderful writer. He resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He has a very good sense of humour. He use to draw pictures for magazine about politics.

Have you ever thought of ghost? Normally it would be "No" from you. If you read this book you will feel there is something around us, this book starts off with ghost stories and it's also answers few questions lingering in our mind about ghost and it's presence. After that it talks about aliens, and also about special people who had special powers like bending a spoon, levitation by humans and so on. It's a wonderful read, this book also talks about magical natural happening at the end. Try this to get a different view about ghosts, aliens, super humans and super natural happenings.

Starting from apparitions and their categorization( crisis apparition- my fav) , it was all together a different journey. The theory '100th Monkey Phenomenon' was phenomenal. Dematerialize concept was touched here and there , though it requires an extensive reading to understand the intricacies of it. Differences between subliminal mind and sub conscious mind was highlighted. More over the concept of pshychons was interesting. I believe most of them couldn't be hallucinations. Fundamentals of clairvoyance, pshycho kinesis, precognizance are covered.

Telepathy is much more interesting and wooed me to a greater extent to involve my concentration much in to the book. The emanation of aura signal from the hand is another new learning. And finally the unidentified flying objects(UFO). Spontaneous human combustion was interesting.

A book listing down some of the unsolved mysteries of human is not a genre that we get to read that often. Some of the experiences make us feel astonished, shocking and frightening. The description of ghost, their types and facts about them are quite different and interesting to read.

Some of the mysteries like spontaneous human combustion, teleporting and telepathy EW difficult to digest. We could not stop from comparing these with supernatural stories that we heard about siddhar in tamil history. UFO is something that is quite different but since there has been too much over dose of it in movies and other series it is not that difficult to relate and think at times even a bit boring.

No matter what your taste is for sure you will have something in the book that will impress you. Go for it for sure, I would say rather a must read to know things that we generally not notice or pay attention.

The book was good but it boasts more about non-natural (pseudo science) events. He just explains the story as our grandma tells horror story. This book doesn't prove the existence of soul by scientific way but it is so good to read. The way author express the events are so chilling to read.
