Shifter Wraith Panthera has spent most of his life in a cage. Now, he lives in Seattle with other rescued shifters, surrounded by the people who saved them. His urges are strong, though, and he fears his panther side will endanger others if he can't get it under control. When he discovers he must attend a summer camp as protector to one of the Twelve Olympians, he's not singing 'Kumbaya.' Still, it does give him a chance to get to know his charge better. His hot, handsome, sensitive charge. Pass the s'mores.
Jordy Crain wants to do good things with his life. A trip as a summer camp counselor will give him the opportunity he's always wanted -- a chance to teach. Additionally, it should be interesting spending more time with his guardian, a panther shifter named Wraith. Wraith's panther is beautiful, unpredictable and violent. But Jordy sees only good in the shifter assigned to protect him. The sexy, jade-eyed, sweet shifter. Class is definitely in session.
As the two bond, Wraith realizes his feelings for the Olympian are causing major butterflies in his stomach. Jordy is attracted to another man for the first time. As with every relationship, there are ups and downs -- but Wraith's down may be deadly for Jordy.
Can they work out a lasting relationship? Or will Wraith's panther remained untamed?
I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!
1.5 Stars rounded up to two solely because I didn't hate it.
I'm sorry to say that this will be my last book by Ms Gasq-Dion.
I'm glad that I managed to purchase this while it was only .99 cents. Otherwise it would have been a total waste and returned.
After being a big fan of the Assassin Shifter series and the 12 Olympian series I'm sorry but I'm done wasting my money. After feeling pressured into buying the Santorno series, which I didn't even like... I'm done.
I've purchased over thirty of these books... I expect A FULL STORY!!! I don't need to be told the back story of ALL OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS!! The vast majority of these books are back story, info dumps. SMH... I'm not the only person with this complaint. It's a shame that the author would rather lose her loyal readers than actually write full books with the caveat for new readers that these are part of multiple series.
To be honest, I was kind of hoping for more. Maybe less camp stuff and more Wraith and Jordy. There was less action in this one, too, and I was hoping for Wraith to tear into someone/thing.
The scene with Jordy's parents was kind of out there, like Wraith was a zoo animal. I felt really icky reading that scene.
I'm so looking forward to Travis and Lucian, Calvin and Samson, Ruslan and Dasan, and I can't forget about Casey and the Doc. Sigh! So many more stories to come and I can't wait!
From all her books, this one has the more YA feeling, but it works with the main characters. As always, a lot of names, story lines, and couples to follow. The amount of info from other books is getting a bit out of control.
I liked Wraith and Jordy. They were sweet together, and their coming together was angst-free.
I have been waiting for Jordy and Wraith for awhile and this book did not disappoint. Wraith was a sweet, cute cheetos loving panther. While Jordy was just too sweet for everybody. I actually didn't think Jordy was going to be like that. He kind of reminded me of Stone but sweeter. It was great can't wait for the next one.
I love these books because of the guys! The writing? *shakes head* The story didn't flow well in so many places it was annoying. The end, especially, was extremely choppy and by the time I had finished each chapter, I thought... finally, the end! Alas, it was not to be... *ugh* Even though there were many things that didn't sit well with me about the story... the bouncing POVs were quite distracting... and how about all those little things that didn't add to the story at all (sans the last few chapters)... I still enjoyed it and look forward to moving on with the rest of the books in this series! :D
It was great catching up with everyone and watching the little squabbles between unmatched couples! This was a story of emotions and coming to terms with life how it really is, not necessarily how we perceive it! I loved the innocents that Jordy and Wraith brought to this story, and, I can admit that Cheetos are one of my secret "guilty pleasures"! (How can anything that tastes that good be so bad for you?) :(
I can't stop with these books, they're a guilty pleasure and my complete addiction.
They're very young adult-y but with a smattering of sex thrown in but there's something completely compelling about them which makes me not only have to read them as soon as they're out, but also to thoroughly enjoy them, naive young men and all their cheesy dialogue included.
This one's about beautiful Wraith, panther and warlock and his Olympian charge Jordy, one of life's real nice guys. They're sickeningly sweet together and it's just nice to read a tale where you know true love is on its way.
And a truly lush cover doesn't harm things either ;)
This one was just okay. A lot of things just didn't work for me. I don't need everyone's back story every time I start a new one of these books. I've read the previous books, I promise! The way Jordy and his parents wanted Wraith the shift so they could see his panther creeped me out a little bit. Not sure why. And the story felt choppier than others. Overall, it didn't suck but not nearly as enjoyable as the ones I've already read.
This was a cute one. I enjoy seeing that some of the guys still have an innocence about them. Wraith and Jordy are just too sweet and throw in some Cheetos for a fun time.
3.5 rounded up to 4 stars because.......wait for it.......there is a cat shifter whose story I've been eagerly awaiting. The next installment in the series is out (The Hard Rhoade) and TF there is a family tree/flow chart at the beginning of the book. There are A LOT of books in this series, and the characters and plots are interwoven with SGD's Assasin/Shifter series and Santorno series. I find I'm having trouble keeping up with who is related, who is romantically involved, who works where, who came from the Skull Blasters, who came from the Russian team, who is what kind of shifter, who is the child of which deity, etc., etc., etc.. Even though it's confusing at times, I have really enjoyed the series overall, and there is still room for it to keep going and going and going.
I don't know, the more I read of this series the more I have no clue what is happening.
Not the storyline wise, more the lack of filler and how rushed the character development is.
Several times whilst reading this I rolled my eyes and put it down as it was frustrating me.
The last 2 books have been failures to me so unfortunately I am tapping out from the rest of the series, as I rather remember the assassins being one of my fave M/M shifter series then a series I have grown to hate.
this book was freaking awesome, I really enjoy it and can't wait for more, I saw another review the girl saying that basically this book suck and that the author was going to loose LOYAL readers, idk what she's talking about because this book was fucking awesome, it made me laugh like crazy I loved it.
This book holds your attention from the start to the end and it ties some of the loose ends of storylines from the previouse books but shows the characters becoming one and learning to stand together as one. The book does not just stay on storyline but shows way people try to help LGBT youth who are mistreated by family or friends by either mistreating physically or mentally. In this book it was one of the most positive part of the new storyline and should be something that is being or should be done today to help the LGBT youth in America.
Not trusting yourself can suck. Learning to let go and just be you is something that Wraith has to get his head around. That, and learning to trust in love. Jordy is a nice guy. The kind of gentleman that so many women his age can't seem to appreciate. Together they make sense. Throw in a little brain washing, Titans being they evil selves, and a few God's for good measure and you have a great story. Thanks!!
Another great add to the series. These two are the cutest couple. I was smiling so much my face hurt. Not everything was sunshine and roses for these two but they came through int he end stronger. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to re-read it soon as it was over. We also got to revisit the summer camp in this book which I liked a lot and hope will keep happening in future books. Can't wait for the next.
OMG! Wraith that cheese eating Cheetos, loving sweet heart. This book may not have been full of the rogues, and for awhile there I forgot what I was reading a Olympians book. I liked how Jordy and Wraith took their time getting to know each other. But what I loved most, was Wraith tell off Jordy's ex. I love this more and more with each book.
I love everything Sandrine Gaza-Dion writes. This book was so good. I laughed and I cried. It broke my heart to see them go through the bad stuff. Waiting patiently for the next book.
I loved Jordy and Wraith. Wraith went through so much in his life. Jordy was so sweet and strong. These two went through a lot together and fell in love with each other. I can not wait for the next in this series. Erin
This is better than ever. There is so much going on that the love story doesn't get bogged down by the war. Still not sure about story with Olivia and Sean. Glad that their situation was in this story just for continuity's sake.
Final battle with the titans, love write bunches and jordy is super sweet. I love the interactions with the characters that I have grown to really like lots. I miss the original skull blasters though.
Absolutely loved this book and the characters. Wraith is so sweet and so is Jordy you can't help but love them getting together. Another great book by this author I think I'm addicted.
