A richly illustrated retrospective of the life and work of noted furniture designer Geoge Nakashima examines the original furniture creations of the acclaimed artist, his influence on contemporary design, his work as an architect, and his remarkable craftsmanship and emphasis on the organic use of the natural lines and grain of wood.
Ms Nakashima has provided the world with a legacy of her life and work by the side of her father, George Nakashima. As she shares her father's story she shares her own, as she walked in his footsteps, learning and growing in the love of wood and understanding the gifts hidden deep within.
In addition to the narrative, there is an extensive gallery of Nakashima's lifework.
