DoMe

Don't look at me like that... I'm not a stalker! I can still smell the judgment coming off of you... let me explain.

I'm pretty sure my next door neighbor is a superhero. Chiseled face and the looks of superman? Check. Muscles galore? Double check.
I noticed him the day after I moved into my brand new apartment. Around the same time my life long crush finally realized I had boobs. Plus Andrew and I finally were moving past the friend zone. In regards to my neighbor I named Clark, I'd just eye bang him any and every chance I received. It's not like I'd ever have a chance with him.
Being Queen of klutz, I break my ankle and land in the emergency room at two in the morning.
Guess who's also there? You guessed it. Clark! Kill... Me... Now...
Not only is he there, he's the physician on call. Hello Doctor DoMe. I've officially joined the perv club.
What if luck's on my side after the worst period of my life? What if Clark isn't just a delusion induced by late night studying and too many comics?
When tragedy strikes the Doctor becomes my life line.
Move over Doctor weirdo or whatever he was called there's a new Doctor in town. I liked to refer to him as DoMe.

SWOON ALERT!!!! Can someone grab me a Dr. DoMe please?!?!?!? Is it possible to be in love with a fictional character?? The right amount of laughter, a heart wrenching tragedy and the perfect journey back to love.

"While I have the nerve I say, "El, I love you. I'm not sure how it happened. I just do, and I'll never be the same if I don't have you in my life." She doesn't say anything. Her expression is blank. "I get it, you don't feel the same, but God dammit El, you consume my thoughts day and night. I crave your smile, I'm addicted to your laugh. You're a habit I don't want to kick." I start. "I want to be the one to always make you laugh, When you cry... Baby my heart breaks. When your sad I want to be the shoulder you use to cry on." She's still silent. Water drips from her hair."

Initially I wasn't really sure where this story was going because there was no concrete goal for the characters, so it took me a bit to connect with the story. El and Andrew had been best friends forever and had feelings for each other, but never acted on them. I enjoyed their free spirited moments as well as their flirtatious ones. They had such an easy-going relationship and could be themselves around each other. Once tragedy destroyed El and Andrew's relationship, that's when the story started for me. The heartbreak El went through was so tragic. Her sadness and loneliness was what made me connect with her. Cam stepped in and picked up the pieces for her. He was there even when she didn't want him to be. I loved the way he encouraged her to live her dreams and he didn't push for a relationship, even when he wanted to. Overall, this was a good story. The flow was rushed at times and the formatting was somewhat confusing, so I wasn't sure who was speaking and had to re-read a lot. The scene breaks weren't distinct either. I would have also liked to experience more of Cam and El's relationship build up as well.

I read the first book - "Meant for Me." Apparently that book did not end the way I thought. This book picked up where the first book left off. This was a great story. It was heart-wrenching, but had a good ending.

Just when I think the books can't get any better! You captured a fantasy that every little girl has growing up about her dream guy! You made it come alive! Great job!
