Even immortal dragons can have crazy exes.

Three thousand years ago, immortal blue dragon Belah and her old lover took their kinks just a step too far, and she's been trying to get over it ever since. The problem is that her ex is still out there wreaking havoc on her world, while Belah spent the last three millennia in hiding.

With her race's world changing, it's time for Belah to show her face again. Finding a new mate should be easy for a dragon as powerful as her, but "baggage" is an understatement when your ex is your race's mortal enemy, and he's just let you know he wants you back.

Determined to move on, Belah finds Lukas and Iszak North--not one, but two gorgeous, musically talented, and especially kinky brothers from one of the dragons' sister races. The pair are perfect for Belah. Their race of falcon shifters mate for life--one look at Belah, and both North brothers know she's their One. The problem is, they have baggage of their own, and Belah's old lover is at the center of it. The brothers can't help but love her in spite of her past, and when Belah answers their mating call and gives herself to them completely, they would do anything to keep her, even forgive her connection to their enemy.

When Belah's old lover calls in a promise, she and her new mates learn there is more at stake than love, and it might take more than fancy knots and an adeptly wielded whip to find true happiness.

Ophelia Bell is the author of the super steamy Sleeping Dragons series. Ophelia loves hot alpha heroes, especially if they’re dragons, but believes the world needs more alpha heroines, so has made it her mission to make that happen. Ophelia grew up on a rural farm in North Carolina and now lives in Los Angeles with her sexy tattooed alpha husband and five-and-a-half attention-whoring cats (one of them is exceptionally large and might actually be a dragon in disguise).

The Love for the dragoness !

It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure. — Joseph Campbell

Ophelia Bell has sexy, sensual action and the BDSM scenes that are hot and so right on. Let's not forget about LOVE!!! dragon's love deeply and forever that's why I have loved this shifters. This was fantastic, the characters were amazing and complimented each other perfectly, the settings, drama, action, sexy dialogue so full of emotion everything was just amazing. The cover is beautiful too!!
Belah is a broken character, hurting and blaming herself for events that occurred 3000 years ago and she just wants to put the past behind her but her ex Nikhal has other plans for her!!! I love her character she's strong and so beautifully complicated. Lukas and Izack are just perfect for her each has something she needs and their also deliciously kinky!!! This is my first book, but not the last by Ophelia bell !!! She's a amazing writer!!! Until next time Luv's💞💋

When I picked up Dragon Blues I believed it to be MMF. It is not and apparently wasn't tagged as such either so I can't really knock it for not being something it never claimed to be. I can say I was a wee bit disappointed, though. There is one FF scene that is over in a blink and I believe Lucas could claim heteroflexiblity, but in a nutshell this book isn't really appropriate for this blog. However the stories interconnect and come as a package, so let's keep this short, shall we?

Belah is an immortal dragon shifter who's been around since forever. She's got a crazy ex-boyfriend and is missing a couple "babies" (actually adults) that she'll do just about anything to find but is also longing for a mate. As lucky would have it, she finds two (Lucas and Iszak) who are falcon shifters and brothers which, I suspect, is why they don't cross the streams. They fall in instalove which works considerably better for me in shifter stories, but I still find it jarring when there's minimal supporting evidence of said love. Not only was there no relationship development or showing their connection but they're almost immediately spouting off about impregnating her!

Erm... Not a fan of this sort of thing in my reads, particularly not my kinky/porny reads, though this was less porny than I envisioned (hoped).

There are a few meager attempts at worldbuilding that are pedestrian and a whole gaggle of borderline bizarre plot twists that I hope to all that's holy are going somewhere. And not somewhere hokey either. The character voices were my biggest stumbling block, especially Belah's. For someone who's ancient she's not very wise or mature, though none of them are well developed nor are they eloquent which I found odd.

The kink is good, though. I particularly liked the suspension bondage scene. That merits a star on its own.

CAPTIVATING, COMPELLING, INTENSE AND DEEPLY EMOTIONAL !!!
Title: Dragon Blues
Series: Immortal Dragons
Designation: Book One of Series, Full-Length Standalone (326 pages), No Cliffhanger
Author: Ophelia Bell
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Sinfully Sexy Stars*****
**This is the re-release of a revised, revamped, lengthened and enhanced edition of Dragon Blues which was originally published in May 2015. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series prequel, Dragon Betrayed, first. I believe it's one decision you'll never regret, especially if you enjoy dark, intense and emotionally gripping dragon shifter erotica. Although this review is not shown as a verified purchase for some unknown reason, I purchased both editions of this book from Amazon and both are currently in my Kindle library.

Wow! What an absolutely exquisite beginning to an exciting new series by Ophelia Bell. Dragon Blues is Bell's first offering in the long-awaited Immortal Dragon Series and wow, it was definitely worth the wait! After reading every single book in both of Bell's Sleeping Dragons and Rising Dragons Series, I was literally chomping at the bit for the release of her newest series, Immortal Dragons, and Bell did not disappoint! Dragon Blues is a riveting, divinely dark, well-crafted and edited full-length standalone paranormal tale filled to the brim with erotic passion and dreamy romance. The story is imaginative, exciting, compelling, raw, intense, romantic, sensual and arousing. The narrative is beautifully written with multiple third person perspectives primarily from the three protagonists but we also get a few quick peeks into the thoughts of several of the other characters as well. The dialogue is smart, seductive, well executed, and flows beautifully. The characters are captivating, fascinating, intriguing, engaging and sexy as sin. These are only a few of the thoughts that come to mind after reading this book. Bell is an extremely talented author who excels at creating detailed and vividly depicted worlds, then populating them with strong, memorable characters who not only engage your imagination but also capture your heart. Bell skillfully combines every single one of these elements to craft an exquisite paranormal romance filled with fantasy, adventure, suspense, heartbreaking angst, and sweet romance. Although each of the books in any of Bell's dragon shifter series features a different couple finding love and can be read as a standalone, there is an underlying interconnected storyline that runs throughout the series and for that reason, I highly recommend at least reading the prequel to the series, Dragon Betrayed, in which Bell expertly sets the stage for the entire premise of Immortal Dragons. As I stated earlier, each release can be read as a standalone story and will feature one of the six Dragon Council siblings as they find their mate... or mates. Oh my! Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adults since it does contain explicit language, steamy sexy and dreamy romance. After all, this is an Ophelia Bell book and we all know that Bell writes some of the sexiest dragon erotica EVER! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! Was I entertained? Oh my yes, I was completely and totally entertained! I was glued to my seat, white-knuckling my ereader with my heart fluttering wildly in my chest while the pages flew as quickly as the time! It was divine! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! And FYI, I read the first edition of this story and loved it, but this one is even better! I loved it!

Blue Dragon Belah is one of six immortal dragon siblings who make up the Council of Dragons. Three thousand years ago, all dragons but the six members of the Council began a hibernation cycle to retreat from civilization to save their race and escape their enemy, the Ultiori. They were being hunted for the power that lies in their blood, almost to the point of extinction. Every five hundred years there is an Ascension or awakening of dragons with controlled matings policed by the Council to ensure the continuation of their race. In the past, the Council has proceeded carefully, adhering strictly to their laws, but the last awakening has resulted in certain events that have brought about monumental changes. And now, for the first time since the very first hibernation cycle three thousand years ago, one Council member would leave their protected home, the Glade, to venture into the human world to find a mate and procreate. In order to defeat their enemy, they must increase their numbers but of the six siblings, it has to be Blue Dragon Belah to take on this task. Because of the identity of their enemy along with Belah's unique ability, she can most easily attune herself to the human population in the new world. She would be able to sense the unique patterns of hostile intent which always warn of the presence of their enemy, especially her former lover and leader of the Ultiori, Nikhail. Only her brother, Ked, knows the true extent of her reluctance of this task caused by the continued torture and exploitation she'd suffered at the hands of a human man she had once loved. The mistake she'd made still haunted her entire race more than 3000 years later. She alone had been responsible for the creation of their enemy and she alone must bear the guilt. To save her race, she endeavors to leave her pain, heartbreak and disgrace in the past and embark on her search to find her destiny. After thousands of years, if Belah can only find her mate and conceive a child, she stands a real chance of finally being able to turn the tide against their mortal enemy. Belah accompanies Erika Rosencrans and her dragon mate, Red Dragon Geva, to a Jazz club where she is instantly attracted to talented saxophone player Lucas North, a Turul prince of the North winds. His music captivates her, surrounds her grieving heart and soothes her tortured soul. It's the same music she's heard calling to her in her dreams. Lucas realizes the moment he sees Belah in the club she is the 'one' for whom he's waited his entire life. Although Lucas instantly recognized Belah as a blue dragon, he had no idea she's 'the blue beast', the one responsible for the creation of their enemy, the hunting of their races by their enemy the Ultiori, the near extinction of their species, and, ultimately, the senseless murder of his sister, Evie. Lukas and his brother Iszak have lived tortured lives since Evie's cruel murder at the hands of their enemy 50 years earlier. Belah soon realizes Lukas is not the only Turul fate has chosen for her. She's also destined to be with his brother Iszak. But once Belah reveals her identity as the 'blue beast', the member of the dragon council ultimately responsible for their sister's death, she doubts either will be able to forgive and accept her as their mate. Unfortunately, there's so much more at stake than her future with the North brothers. She also has to consider the lives of her son and daughter taken away from her and now being held in a secret location along with Lukas and Iszak's sister Evie who is not dead as they believed but held as a prisoner for the past 50 years by Nikhil. Her only hope for ensuring her future happiness may lie in submitting once again to a madman she once loved. Will the brothers find their sister and somehow manage to rescue Belah from the evil clutches of Nikhil before it's too late? Can Lukas and Iszak find it in their hearts to forgive Belah and accept her as their mate? Sometimes the truth can not set you free... sometimes, it traps you in the past and destroys your one chance for a happy future. Forever is a long time for an Immortal Dragon to live alone and unloved. Can Beulah finally find the peace, love, acceptance and happiness she's so desperately sought? We'll see! I guess you'll have to read the book but believe me, folks, it gets very intense and very complicated, really fast! And I loved it! I was sobbing like a baby. It actually made my heart ache in my chest. No more spoilers from me but I will say this.....Beautiful heartbroken blue dragon-check! Two handsome, sexy hawk shifters-check! Danger, drama and heinous enemies-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, heartbreaking angst, titillating bondage, steamy sex and dreamy romance-check! And did I mention a smokin' hot menage a trois? Oh my! That and a whole lot more! I can hardly wait for Dragon Void, the next book of the series!

Immortal dragon mates! Ophelia Bell has another hit series here.

This is a true love triumphs over all love story. And add some seriously hot sex scenes. Oh yes. Did I mention dragons and twins are the main characters? And the talented author also weaves in a few favorite characters from an earlier series. Very good storyline. Loved the ending. And hoping for more soon, Thank you, Ophelia Bell. Great read!

Book one of Immortal Dragons series Dragon Blue by Ophelia Bell.
This book is first for me by this writer and even though I really enjoyed this story I was very confused at times because you felt like you missed a story before this on.
This book is first in series about Belah a Blue Immortal Dragon that has a famous reputation for starting a war between dragon, humans and other shifters.
Belah had a destructive relationship with a human that she gave powers to but instead sent him crazy and he started kidnapping other dragons and torturing them for information about Belah.
Dragons and other shifters mate for life and share powers but Belah had come to the fact that she may never get her kidnap children back or every be able to meet her mate.
Belah is submissive and with been Immortal takes a lot of hard limits with her BDSM and at times especially with her ex is very hard to read.
Lukas and Iszak are falcon shifters and princes of the wings and at the beginning thought the fates have smiled on them with showing their mate.
Really enjoyed but did feel at a disadvantage with not knowing a back story that you would clearly have found out in other previous books.
Really enjoyed but would have like to possibly had a warning to read other series so I knew what was going on would have been very helpful.
Otherwise good HEA

This wasn't awful, it's just that I wasn't expecting this. Upon reading Google Play Book's description, I thought this was a romance with dragons. And there's a lot of romance, and many dragons.

There's also a lot of BDSM.

I don't have any problem with erotica, it's just a genre that I don't usually seek. Besides that, this book wasn't bad. I suppose that if you like kinky things it's a good read.

The thing I most liked about this was that the main character Belah had two male partners, which isn't something that we normally see in books. I also liked Markus, his story was pretty sad because he lives his life like a traitor while he's only trying to protect his lover Ivy's life, and in the end he ends up being killed by Nikhil. I also don't understand why in the end Belagh doesn't rush to save her children? They were one of her main reasons to return to the human world.

Also, I have to admit I preferred Iszak over Lukas, and I was expecting she would choose him over the other. Lukas was a bit tiring at times.

Dragon Blues Immortal Dragons Book 1
by Ophelia Bell
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dragon Blues Immortal Dragons is the first book, it's a fantastic read. What a exciting introduction to a series, it's absolutely exquisite and well worth the wait! I have read few books by Ophelia Bell, so I am so happy to read her newest series, Immortal Dragons. OMG, she did a wonder job! Dragon Blues is exciting, riveting, well-crafted and a great read that is a paranormal story that has passion, sensual scenes that's scorching hot and full of hot romance. The characters are a fantasy come true, two sexy, dark, alpha heroes and a beautiful sweet curvy heroine. There is a turn in the events that will totally surprise you. I also loved all of characters that were introduced in this storyline. I even enjoyed reading about the bad character Nikhil. Ophelia Bell is one of my favorite authors. She is a author that will captivate your heart and engage your imagination, she combines all of the single one of these elements to craft an exquisite paranormal romance filled with fantasy, adventure, suspense, heartbreaking angst, and sweet romance.

This storyline is phenomenal, I know because of some parts of the story is kind of dark this classified as a dark erotica, but I don't agree it should be just one of the NYC Bestsellers of paranormal romance. Another thing I didn't know this is the second time the Dragon Blues Immortal Dragons Book 1 was release, Ophelia Bell is so gifted, she made the added portions of the book read like it's always been a part of the story, you I was so captivated by this version I look for the original because I would love to know what was added, this story is so great I couldn't believe she would want to redo it. Her characters are so lovable, vibrant, sexy, a fantasy come true and so alive they leap off the page into your heart. There is lots of action, betrayal, explicit language, dark encounters, scorching hot sexy sensual scenes and dreamy romance. Between Belah, Lukas and Iszak, this is one story that will keep you captivated and on the edge your seat. I could go on and on about this story because it was very emotional for me, but that's what I love to read. I urge you to read this story and any other book of Ophelia Bell you haven't read.
If you believe in the worlds of paranormal love and romance then the possibilities are endless and fascinating.

I've never really considered myself a fan of paranormal/fantasy reads until the day I found Ophelia Bell's dragons...since that day I've devoured everything she writes.

Dragon Blues is technically a re-release, extended and enhanced version of her first book in this spin off series about the Immortal Dragon siblings, which you are introduced to in her original series, Sleeping Dragons and then Rising Dragons. These stories are definitely hot and steamy, but they are so intricate and compelling, I find myself transported to a world that's exciting and intriguing. I forget sometimes that it's a fantasy and wish I could live there, just to experience these awe inspiring beings. And not just the dragons!

There's darkness and evil and danger for the hunted, while the hunters are surrounded by pain and desperation and the ugly lust for blood and revenge. But...is anything ever that straightforward?

I am honored to be a part of Ophelia's ARC team and was provided with a copy of Dragon Blues in exchange for an honest review, but I can assure you I would read each and every installment of her books regardless. If this review convinces you to enter Bell's dragon world, you won't have to go all the way back to the beginning to enjoy the Immortal Dragon series (although, I think you should because they're fabulous too, and you will meet some very interesting characters) but you should read Dragon Betrayed first. It is the prequel and will give you the insight into how the evil is born.

I'm so anxious to see where this series goes and how the stories for each of these Immortals unfolds, I'm captivated and I'm enjoying my escape. So many little intricacies, so many little surprise moments, so many hold your breath scares, beautiful broken souls, and hot, sexy alpha dragons...yep, doesn't get much better than that...who knew, right?!

**ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**

This being my first read by this author and I was captivated from the first paragraph! It was very easy to tell from just the first few pages that it is a very well written book, though at times it did read like it was a middle book to a another series even though it's the first in this particular series, but everything always came together quite nicely so there wasn't much room for confusion.

One thing I did enjoy about this book was the multiple POVs the author provided, there were enough to keep the reader engaged but not so many that we would get confused. There was enough information provided from each POV to keep the me interested in this fantastical storyline.

I will admit that while I know and understand this is a fictional/fantasy read but an incestuous relationship in any context is just wrong! Gives me the heebee jeebies!! I really tried to understand this very strange part to the book but it just creeps me out to fucking much so I pushed past it and continued to enjoy the story.

Every character is unique, colorful and a interesting part of this story that has so much love, Betrayal and deceit, except for Ozzy, he was kind of a douche. I mean if his cousins were able to forgive and accept Belah for what she inadvertently caused and who she later became then he should do the same. In my opinion he acted like a big ass baby.

Overall and as mentioned before this was a very enjoyable read and I look forward to reading book two, I have to find out who this dark creature is!!

This revised version is just amazing. It's expanded background concerning characters and events makes the story sooo much better. We learn new things about all the characters; the who's, why's and what's behind their actions. The return of the villain is terrific, making you both hate and feeling sorry for him. As always, Ophelia Bell has sexy, sensual action and the few BDSM scenes are right on. Let's not forget about LOVE; in cause you haven't been paying attention to the authors other Dragon stories, dragon's love deeply and forever. I don't do spoilers, but I highly recommend this story to those that love to read amazing paranormal romance that includes thrills, suspense, danger, and sensual scenes. In fact I sayYOU HAVE TO GET THIS BOOK

Be carefully what you wish for.

Ophelia Bell"s book's will always be deeply descriptive while she permits us to be inside the mind and emotions of the intelligent, captivating and mysterious characters she creates, as their lives and stories are literally spread wide open for us to understand and relate to.
After reading many of Ms Bell"s entertaining book's over the years, her incredible ability to create scenario's have become increasingly far more complex with both history detailed information and her creative imagination, giving us as reader's many unusual yet unique paranormal novel's running, some in a series, and other's as standalone's, that find us continuously looking for the next book to understand all the mysteries and challenging situation"s that continue within each book.
Either styles cause havoc with hope, within these stories, or HEA world's that incorporate the anguish and determination often found in those who crave a life with that special someone beside them.
Having found the love of your life can be as amazing as it is terrifying when your enemies will use anything at their disposal to cause you pain
Fear, strength and fortitude to keep those you love safe and protected from anyone wanting to cause you and them pain finds you doing whatever necessary so that you all can live safely and happily.
"Dragon Blues" is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of the depths and detail's Ms Bell goes to within her writing, erotic and to some reader's, down right dirty, as this author creates a realism in the love lives of her character's that can be found in many couples homes in our world. But her brilliant capacity to incorporate a tantilising scenario between 'Belah' her life, the mysteries and desires she finds herself tormented by, while finally finding what she has always wanted, has come together beautifully to give us a series that I am definitely having trouble putting down.
To gather and create a tangled web within the lives of those who she is a part of, Belah understand's slowly what exactly is at stake unless she fights a certain part of herself, to gain the wholeness she craves.
As I read each page Ms Bell never lost me within the complex event's she developed inside the storyline.
Intrigue and dramatic action are a must in her writing, giving her carte blanche to paint with word's the quality and level of activity with many supernatural involved inside this superb book, definitely keeping your mind and feelings complely involved in every small crumb of information we can pick up.
Trust me when I say if paranormal is your genré then this is a MUST READ as soon as possible.
You can be assured that Ms Bell wi always keep you totally enthralled and invested with those special characters she creates.
Grab your copy today and get started on this mouth watering novel. Lol

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what to think of this book. This story is set on the backdrop of supernatural politics, which the author attempted to explain in the first chapter, but in came across as sort of info-dumpy and if I wasn't committed to at least reading a few chapters before deciding whether or not to finish a book, I likely would have stopped there. Unfortunately, the first chapter didn't really help, and it took my most of the book to grasp the portion of the politics I needed to follow the story, much less the whole political clime.

The characters grabbed me enough (Erika and Geva are adorable) in the following chapters that I stayed on, but but I was not particularly committed and it took me longer than it needed to read a book of this length because of it.

The "fated mates" trope is pretty common in shifter stories, so I was on board for that, but really wish I got to see more interaction and growth with Belah, Lukas and Iszak. I feel like I understand Belah and Nikhil more than I understand her and her current mates?

I realize this is the first in a series and perhaps things would become clearer farther on, but I don't plan on reading any farther so that is for someone else to say.

It wasn't a bad book, all told, but I think my biggest issue was that it seemed to lack focus. There was too much trying to happen and none of it was given its due.

This is the first book from this author that I have read.

While the book was well written and I enjoyed the story and the characters (and will most probably read a lot more from this author), I felt there was something missing.

World building, back story, something??

I even went to double check that it was the first book in the series.

What I've now discovered is that this book is set in/is a spin off/has characters from a previous series of books (Sleeping Dragons, Rising Dragons series by the same author).

Had I known that or been warned in the blurb or had a page at the beginning of the book telling me this, I would have probably gone and read the other books first or at least not been as confused or disorientated in this book.

It kind of threw me out of the otherwise fantastic story.

Little confusing at first but give it a chance.

A very important dragon must join our society after 3000 years to find her mate. The enemy of all supernaturals was created by her mistake. She is hunted by this enemy and her mates must forgive her for her part in a family tragedy.

Cons: The first few chapters were a bit confusing. I wish there was a better way to get the back story. The author alludes to really violent sex (consensual). I don't think the incest was really needed. If bondage and a little pain isn't for you don't read.

Pros: The writing is great. I was really invested in the characters. There is an HEA for the main characters with an additional storyline that will continue through to the next book. There is graphic sex is a little on the kinky side. It is an interesting new world with a different way of finding mates.

Okay, I won't talk about my love for dragons this time, hmmm mmmm. but if you really like dragons Ms Bell is a good one that writes about dragons. mmmm, bad dragons, good dragons. smexy dragon. We all like us some powerful women, even if a bit troubled of soul.

Some memories are hard to hide from maybe it's time to stop hiding. Enter sexy brothers, Lukas and Iszak are multitalented and kinky and determined to help the sexy she-dragon find what she's been missing. They know she is theirs, they just may have to work at convincing the slightly skittish dragoness of that fact.

A wonderful cast of characters, a bit of drama.... okay lot of drama. *smiles* with a good mix of danger and a roller coaster of emotion. A great read. Love your dragons.... enjoy.

Warning: This book starts with a steamy scene of sexual domination and submission ... which is revealed to be a dream after a hundred words. Then a romantic dream, pastel colors, creamy feathers, romantic music, and then the worst infodump I ever read. The complete first chapter is full of information about a world which I don't give a damn for, because until now there is no interest character. The idea of a family of millenium-old dragons (shifters obviously) required to take human mates is boooring beyond believe.

Couldn't stand the setup. Aborted.

Interesting

Good story and writing. I really had to pay attention to the details on this one because the back story was a bit confusing at first. I kept thinking there was another book before this one that would explain things better. (Found out at the end there is a prequel). Not a cliff hanger but definitely a lot of questions at the end for me that will probably be explained in future books. This book is just different enough from other paranormal and dragon books to be interesting. It looks to be a heart wrenching series. Happy reading.

From the start of the series to the end of the last book they kept me wanting more.
I did not want it to end

I love my dragon books! I love that the heroine is so strong, but submits to her mates willingly, she stays faithful to them in such an honorable way. I loved the BDMS the author gives us, she shows that there are many different degrees to it, some dark and some downright sexy. Without giving too much away about the story, if you like PNR, action, with some hot sexy scenes then this book is for you.

**I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book and here is my honest review**

This was a very dark story full of immense brutality and cruelty. Belah has lived a long time regretting getting involved with her former lover. History has reviled her for what she caused by giving him so much power. Now she has a chance to true happiness with her two fated mates, but she has to right the wrongs she made and find her lost children. And to do that she has to confront her former lover, who is cruel and possessed by a powerful demon.

This was good but it left me wanting a way too much more out of the storyline. The sex scenes were hot but I wanted more. It ends on a cliffhanger and I wanted to scream. I felt invested in the characters and the relationship while instant that was forming. I peeked ahead and saw that book 2 showcases another couple that this book peeped my interest too. I just hold that the next book gives answers to these characters .

This was a good book. More heavy on the steamy scenes. But there is plenty of emotions, ups and downs, intrigue, secrets, a little suspense, twists and turns, and it kinda leaves you feeling like you only got the first part of the whole story. There were some whites and blacks and definitely some gray areas a plenty. A little bit of a page turner and keeps you interested. Can't say you know what's going to happen but as it states in the book, Fate's a B!

Would have like to give this a higher rating. It was a decent book. However, the world-building at the beginning was tedious and overly complicated. It made the start really slog. I understand that this is part of a series, but it is also a stand alone telling this one character's story - the book just sort of ended. There was resolution, to a degree, but not satisfying. Also no cliffhanger to justify the abrupt end.

That twist!

This was fantastic, the characters were amazing and complimented each other perfectly, the settings, drama, action, sexy, bondage, the emotion, everything was just amazing. Ophelia Bell always has the best sex scenes in her books, they leave you panting heavily and in need of a cold shower, not to mention she does dark romance like no one else. Can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

Belah comes out of hiding still hung up on Nikhil, and disgusted with herself for still desiring him. Then she finds two gorgeous, musically talented and kinky brothers Lukas and Iszak North. The pair are perfect for Belah, and they know what needs to be done to help her heal. They all have to deal with personal demons in order to try and make this work. This was such a great read, and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

Ophelia Bell - What can I say? WOW!! Doesn't even come close to this story. One of the most amazing shifter books I've read in a long, long time. I also loved the different spelling of the character's names - Belah (for Bella), Lukas (for Lucas) and Iszak (for Isaac). The different spelling gives these characters more personality and character of their own. Pity the star ratings only go to 5 - I'd give this book a 10 any day. I want more books by this author.
