The New Testament books of 1 and 2 Peter and Jude offer a timeless message of hope to Christians living in a post-truth culture that seeks salvation in false, futile saviors and rejects Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life. In this ten-lesson Bible study, Sarah Ivill provides students of Scripture with an in-depth look at these three small epistles filled with great truths that will encourage them to remain steadfast in the faith in a world hostile to believers.
Each lesson includes the following features: An introduction that provides a big picture of the lesson, showing how it applies to your mind, heart, and hands. A personal study section of questions that helps you dig deeply into God's Word. A section that puts it all together, which aims to answer any lingering questions you may have after your personal study. A section of questions for helping students study the Word of God in community.
Useful for either individual or group studies, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, and Jude includes suggestions for Bible study leaders, an overview of the history of redemption and revelation, and an overview of what it means to study Christ in all of Scripture.

Sarah Ivill (ThM, Dallas Theological Seminary) is a Reformed author, mother, homemaker, Bible study teacher, and retreat and conference speaker who lives in Matthews, North Carolina, and is a member of Christ Covenant Church (PCA).
This is a very detailed and solid Bible Study. Sarah Ivill has done her research and stays true to the Bible. Each lesson has an in-depth personal Bible study which really makes you read the text and turn to other parts of the Bible in order to understand the passage. This is excellent. She then has a teaching section which always clearly explains the text and points to Christ. The discussion questions are always the same; I can see the benefits in this, but it tended to bog down our discussion at times. Because the discussion questions were all the same, the women in our Bible study didn't always want to answer these questions and so our discussion time wasn't always structured. Ivill surely had a reason for framing these questions this way. It was probably more a problem with how our group discussed the chapters than with how it was written. However, her repetition of questions is something to be aware of.
Content was solidly orthodox and this seemed to have a good setup for a group Bible study. But it had several issues that made it a study I would not recommend - formatting and organization led to redundancy, both questions and the teaching text sections would have benefitted from an editor to make them more readable, and some weeks were impossible for my group (both working and stay-at-home moms of very little kids) to actually complete in a week because they required so much time each day. Not a bad study, just cluttered and "heavy"/dense in many parts.
