Andrea has always enjoyed creating characters and stories. But it wasn't until she was in her late twenties that she started writing novels.

What happened that ignited the writing flame in her fingers? Divorced, and disillusioned by love songs and stories. They exaggerate. She thought. Love and Romance are not like that in the real world. Then she met her husband and realized, yes love and romance are exactly like the songs and stories say. She is now a happy wife, and a mom to three kids (two boys and a girl).

Once she heard about a writer who never let her characters deviate from the script. If they did, she just killed them. How sad, she thought. For her one of the best parts of being a writer is letting the characters have a mind of their own and seeing where the story takes them.

She loves this quote from Robert Frost, which sums up her opinion on allowing the characters their freedom: “No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.”
― Robert Frost

Andrea writes fantasy, paranormal, and historical romance. When not writing or reading, one may find Andrea dancing in Zumba.

Thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was so surprised by this book. It's easy to read, with a fast paced plot and likable characters. I love the mix between paranormal, romance and the erotic parts. This book could easily have gotten 5 stars from me, because I highly enjoyed and couldn't find anything about the story that I didn't like.

There is another book by Andrea R. Cooper on my to-read list and I can't wait for it. This book makes me expect a lot and I'm very glad to have discovered another author that writes good books! The characters are believable and the story was fast paced and easy to read. I love the mix between the genres and the POV switches, (you don't hear me say that often). I recommend this book if you like paranormal books with a couple of explicit erotic scenes. It's a good balance!

Throw together a deliciously hunky incubus, a magical stone, and an archaeologist in training, all based in Turkey, and Andrea R Cooper has created one super addictive story crammed with conflict and tension.

When Renee gets a job to work with superstar archaeologist, Damon, she jumps at the chance. Sure the bossy guy might infuriate her, but when she starts lusting after him in her dreams, she’s fighting a losing battle. She just doesn’t know it yet. But when she unearths a beautiful crystal and decides to have it made into a pendant, her life takes a deadly twist.

Damon had been searching for that crystal as his time as a sexually-driven incubus is coming to a fast end. If he doesn’t get it in time, he’ll turn into a war-starving demon. Except now, the crystal has attached itself to Renee and won’t come loose.

Time is running out as the couple are bound together to face the dangers heading their way. Despite their differences, I adored how the couple come together, despite the adversity pulling them apart, and I knew from the start, this would be one of those legacy romances. I can’t recommend this book enough for all romance addicts who love to explore unique worlds, sexy alphas, and strong females who can’t help but be attracted to them. Can’t wait for book 2!!!!

This was a new take on incubus and succubus for me. I liked the mythology and the character development. The heroine was stubborn and strong woman who was ultimately confronted with her past and able to get over her misconceptions and phobias.

There was good push and pull to the story with the hero having to confront his fate and adjust his priorities because of his feelings for Renee. I liked that her was a decent character even though he acted arrogantly. I also liked that Renee never was the fall at your feet girl, even though she thought he was attractive.

There was a good plot and action. Some of the twists were unusual and some weren't but over all it was a solid read.

A love story between the hunky incubus Damon and the archaeologist Renee, is brought to life in Andrea R. Cooper's paranormal romance story - Claimed.

He is after an elusive crystal, something he doesn't know she has already found. While digging, she discovers it, but isn't aware of what is it - she just thinks it's something lovely to make into a piece of jewelry.
As the clock counts down to Damon locating the crystal before he turns from super sexy to a war starting demon, the tension runs high, and the romantic energy higher.

Andrea set the stakes high, and I found myself flipping rapidly through the pages until I reached the end. I am eagerly awaiting to read more when the author releases the next in the series.

Damon is hosting an archeological dig in Turkey, and Renee has been selected to go on the dig. She is an unpaid intern trying to get her time in on digs and teaching history to help pay travel expenses.
Renee finds a pretty crystal while on the dig and decides she will have jewelry made from it.

Renee starts seeing things and getting dizzy and decides she needs to see a doctor. Besides seeing things she is having erotic dreams about Damon, who has a girlfriend.

Renee doesn't know that Damon is an incubus and Damon doesn't know she found the crystal he is searching for. Damon needs the crystal so he does not turn into a demon on his 5,000th birthday. He is sexually attracted to Renee but will not touch her because he already killed a human lover by mistake. He is slowly starving to death and Renee keeps seeing things.

Will they both figure out that they have what the other wants and needs or will they both be sexually void, with Damon turning into a demon that can only feed off of war?

Renee Maxwell is working in her dream job as an assistant to an archaeologist in Turkey when she seeing strange things after finding a crystal in the ground. He boss Damon Cubins might be hot but she isn't going to fall for his charms and become another notch in his bedpost. Damon is an incubus and has no time for love but is desperately trying to find a special crystal to stop himself becoming a demon - however Renee has it - can he romance it from her or give in and just walk away?

I really enjoyed this paranormal story which started nice and slow but soon developed into an action packed ending. Renee was an independent woman and determined to not cave in to the attraction to Damon (although I admit to wanting to shake her sometimes!), and Damon was a rare beast as he was trying his utmost to do the right thing (a rare thing for a half-demon). I liked the danger elements added to the story which gave it a nice build up towards the end of the story. Well written and enjoyable.

How fun was this?! I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced, sexy archeological romp. Our heroine is an intelligent teacher/archeologist fighting to make a serious name for herself ; our hero is an incubus/ archeologist days away from transitioning into his worst nightmare. This book had just the right blend of tension, mystery, and a wonderful cast of secondary characters I hope show up in future installments. Damon and Renee have excellent chemistry. Perfect summer read.

This book didn’t work for me, I had a hard time finishing Claimed. Too slow and full of details that I didn’t really care about. I’ve never reads this gender before so I guess I’ll have to try another book of this author. I didn’t fell the connection with the characters and a lot of their action and decision make no sense to me.

*I voluntarily read a review copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*

This is the first book I've read by this author and I wasn't left disappointed.

I enjoyed the simmering tension between Damon and Renee. They have a slow burning romance which intensified as the story progressed.

The story/plot was creative and had lots of originality. The characters were fun yet entertaining and complemented each other really well. There was an element of suspense which made things much more exciting yet gripping.

I really enjoyed Claimed; the characters draw you in quickly and the story was intriguing.

Claimed by Andrea R. Cooper is the bomb! Wow, just wow. I can’t get over the ride I just was taken on with this story.

It really is amazing the difference in reading experience one has when the book doesn’t have any formatting issues. I previously reviewed this book after being given an ARC through a third party. That ARC was a mess through no fault of the author and/or publishing company. Sadly due to that, the review I gave was poor and not in favor of the author. After rereading an ARC sent to me directly by the author, I am hereby amending my review and rating given.

I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to review another ARC of this book and see that the book definitely lived up to its potential. Nothing interfered with my ability to read the story and have it shine like it should. Ms. Cooper’s writing flows wonderfully as she brings her story to life with her intriguing and interesting characters and original storyline. You are hooked from the get-go!

An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

***Due to the experience I had with the original ARC received by a third party, I would like to politely request of anyone giving out ARC’s on behalf of authors and/or their publishing company, please verify prior to sending out the ARC that the ARC is decent with no major formatting issues as this hugely reflects on the author and their publishing company, and is totally unfair and unwarranted. A simple check that the ARC did not reformat in some weird way through your ARC program saves a lot of heartache, hassle and frustration on everyone’s end. Reviewers don’t mind typos and whatnot as they are ARC’s and normally don’t take away from a reading experience. Unfortunately, the company I received my ARC from had serious formatting issues that affected the book as a whole in a very detrimental way.

I had a lot of fun with the very original concept behind this novel. It was fun and entertaining while also taking some odd detours that really worked in the history of the region and of the characters themselves. This all comes together in Cooper’s well laid out plot. Suspense and romance come together in unique manners that I couldn’t forget.

The mix of history and archaeology is heightened by the tension between the characters. Renee’s strength and intellect were impossible to miss. She made a fantastic heroine. Damon’s guilt and self-doubt vie with his larger than life personality to create a hero that really steals the show. I couldn’t help but fall in love with him as we got to know him better and better. Together, these two really took this novel to a new level.

Cooper has mixed one of a kind characters with a well-researched, exciting plot to create a novel that readers will love. It was a quick fun read that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Renee and Damon are on a archeological dig site searching for relics. Renee is a teacher but loves history and the dog sites. Damon is an incubus that feeds off of sexual energy. He needs to find a crystal to save himself.

When Renee finds the crystal, she has it made into a necklace. When Damon sees it, he knows he just get it from her but later finds out that she cannot take it off.

This is a beautiful love story where love shouldn't exist.

A incubus and a human. True love full of emotion. Excellent writing.

This was a decent story with a HEA ending. There are several possibilities for more stories in this series from what I could gather. There was something funky about the formatting on the copy I received, so it was really hard to keep up with the story line at times. I noticed a few places where the author messed up on her details so that's so that's why I gave it 3 stars. I volunteered to read this book.

It was ok

I have questions after reading this book. The main one is, Whatever happen to her mom? Maybe there's answers in the next book. Don't think I'll be reading anymore of this series.
