The youngest heir to a legendary Northern California dynasty is back in the family fold, gearing up to open his own therapy practice. Life's perfect--except for the miles that separate psychologist Julian Drake from his longtime love Nicki Long. So when the Broadway dancer makes a visit to their idyllic town, Julian is beyond thrilled. Desire reignites as he and Nicki reaffirm their commitment, ready more than ever for their happy ending.

Relocating to New York was the toughest decision of Nicki's life--even if it meant realizing a childhood dream. Now she's finally reunited with the man she loves, but there's trouble in Paradise Cove. The danger that has followed Nicki west threatens everyone she cherishes most, including the seemingly untouchable Drake clan. With Julian's career--and her own life--at risk, Nicki's up against a deadly adversary that could end her future with the Drake of her dreams...

Zuri Day is a hopeful romantic. She believes in happy endings, half-full glasses and dreams coming true. That's why she's thrilled to be a contributing writer to this genre...one of her favorites!

Zuri doesn't remember exactly how old she was when she picked up her first romance novel, but she does remember it was love at first sight. "It was probably a Harlequin," she recalled during a recent interview. "And it thankfully took me away from a fairly dull and routine existence growing up in a small Kansas town."

Things aren't dull and routine anymore. Zuri now resides in Los Angeles with her family and when she isn't writing loves to travel the world, cook vegetarian food, work out, watch sports, attend concerts and theatre and enjoy the simple things in life.

"Many people have given up on love, much less romance," Zuri says. "I'm hoping that somehow, through the love-filled pages of my romance novels, I can ignite the reader's desire to believe again. Because everything is possible, when we believe..."

Although I enjoyed Nicki and Julian's story, it drove me nuts that Nicki would allow that sleazy Vince character to blackmail her. What's the worse thing that can happen? That the truth will come out? Well it did and it caused a horrible mess. Now I'm not really sure if Julian will be able to forgive Nicki's deceitful behavior. How can you profess your everlasting love for someone and then keep dangerous secrets like that?

This entire Drake family are nothing but upstanding and loving folks, who love so very deep and hard. They are bunch of fun loving and true people who care for their love ones and the people they are involved with.
Julian is one of the youngest of the family who is a psychiatrist and his girl Niki is a dancer.
They have a strong love, but circumstances and location seems to keep them apart until the girlfriend has an accident and have to relocate to Julian hometown to recuperate, which cause her to make a change in her living arrangements, which causes her to rethink her living location, but all in all love is the major reason why changes is made for the better of them both.
Marriage is on the horizon for them in the future.
I recommend this book and I really enjoyed it, although it was a little wordy.

In this last installment of the Drakes of California series, Julian Drake is the next Drake heir to fall under love’s spell. He is has moved back to Paradise Cove to open his own practice, however his heart is in New York with his longtime girl Nicki Long. Nicki is a dancer and is living her childhood dream of dancing on Broadway. Life could not be more perfect living her dream in New York and has reunited with Julian. What more could a girl want? Of course there is danger lurking and a series of events that threatens Nicki’s future with Julian.
Ms. Day does a great job with character development where the readers will shake their heads while turning the pages of this installment. The storyline is well written and readers will enjoy Nicki and Julian’s journey.

Decadent Desire is the last installment of the Drakes of California, this story is about the baby boy of the family Julian and his girlfriend Nicki who got on my nerves considerably. This story was up and down for me it would have parts where I would say oh shoot going to finish this tonight and then it would get slow, overall it was a great read and great way to end the series. There is a Drama, Romance, lies and deceit , everything I like to read.

I enjoyed this story of Julian and Nicki finding their way. There is not doubt that this couple loves each other. The problem is Nicki's independence and longing to be a star dancer on Broadway. You throw in a crazy ex, a competing doctor and a blogger and you will have enough to keep your head buried in this book until the very end. As always Zuri did a wonderful job telling this story. This book was provided to my for the honest review.

I love Nicki Long and I think Julian Drake is the perfect match for her. Now if only the past doesn't come back to haunt them. The Drakes got it going on from the baby to the patriarch...

Nicki get's hit my a bicycle of all things while running in Brooklyn, NY and ends up in Paradise Cove where her doctor can attend to her mind, body and soul.

Great plot, great story and such a wonderful ending. Bravo, break a leg Nicki..

Entertaining series!

Splendid writing✍🏾! After reading chapter 22, it was a chore to continue reading considering the depth of stupidity that "Nicki" was showing. Stoopid, Stoopid behavior! I am happy that this is fiction. I kept reading and soon was pleasantly surprised that the truth was told. That is indicative the clarity the author writes. I enjoyed the series immensely!

Wow. This book was so gooood :-). It was so good because of one thing...Julian. He was so well written that I could feel him, his personality and his spirit. Being a recluse with a sense of self and humor was wonderful.

The rest of the story and supporting cast came in a distant second to how well Zuri Day carved out his character. Very impressive, very very impressive.

Trust Your Instincts

Julian has always been a quiet, reserved, contemplative Drake. Those traits serve him well, but also cloud his decisions when presented with a heartfelt dilemma. His resolution and way it plays out is amazing!

Desires of the heart

This is a wonderful story of how the power of love will conquer anything. Dreams can come true any where if you open your mind and heart to allow opportunities to present themselves.

Very good. Julian and Nicki had a lot of obstacles in their path to love and a committed relationship. Danger is following Nicki and she hasn't told Julian all of the details.
