Amazing!!!

I learned about this author when I actually MET her in a Facebook group. She seemed cool, said she writes Christian fiction fantasy and I was intrigued. I immediately went and found her book. Bought it asap and could not put it down. VERY well written, good plot. Has a modern day Frank Peretti’s piercing the darkness duo feel to it in the way it depicts the unseen spirit realm as well as the physical one. Except, I really like her delivery better than his and that is really saying something coming bb from a huge Peretti fan!

This book... I will admit, I had the pleasure of helping to edit through it and from beginning to end of this process, every time I read it I fell more in love with it. I'd highly recommend it to YA readers as well as adults. The analogical characters and quick wit between them give it a great aura/vibe ... and the description will definitely take you into a world of supernatural horrors and wonders. A MUST READ!

In "Hidden Secrets", Kim Kouski builds an alternate world distinct from ours, yet filled with good and evil. She begins with her troubled teenaged character Conel, imprisoned for crimes against the throne. He bears a load of guilt over the deaths of his parents, the former kind and queen when he was a child.

Conel runs into Imogene, a normal teenager from our world magically brought into his. She also is captured in prison. Imogene provides a useful perspective for the many new concepts and words within Conel's world. She is shocked by the brutality and cruelty of Conel's world. Conel is suspicious of her. Yet Imogene's also supplies occasional comic relief to some of the darker scenes.

The novel builds depth of character and complexity as it builds to a conclusion. This is clearly the beginning of an epic series. Fantasy lovers who enjoy CS Lewis' Space Trilogy will like this one as well. The novel has similar dark evil in it.
