Desire, lust, and passion all wrapped in the most consuming need.
One night of passion, desire, and being completely dominated, was all it took for Sebastian Matvei to become my newest addiction. He fulfilled my darkest cravings, satisfying me unlike any other man before him.
I was hopelessly consumed by him, and I instantly yearned for more of what only he could give me.
My newfound attraction to Sebastian seemed perfect, until his past secrets threaten to rip us apart, and when an unexpected tragedy arises, I’m forced to come to grips with a choice I have to make.
I can either let him consume my life, making it what I’ve always wanted it to be, or I can give it all up and make a new life for myself. When the worst possible news happens how do you move on?
Sebastian can either be my savior or the one that ultimately breaks me.
Brie Paisley was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi, and now, she currently lives in different locations, due to her husband being military. She wanted to write at a young age and was always filling journals with her thoughts and short stories. Brie started with an idea for her debut novel a few years ago, and with the encouragement of her husband and sister-in-law, she was able to write and publish her first book. When she isn’t writing, you can find her reading a good book, watching a good movie, or spending time with her wonderful husband and beautiful daughter.
Addicted – obsessed – engrossed – hooked – consumed by – nuts about – crazy about – in love with – I’m all these things when it’s come to Trixie and Sebastian’s story.
And breathe...
I have to admit to The Mommy catching me mid-flush (it was warranted – trust me!) whilst reading Addiction. Which was fun *rolls eyes* – not!
Now, I know we recently watched 365 DNI together, but there are some things you just don’t want your 69-year-old mother to know about. Your current read containing D/s elements for one...
TM: What are you reading?
Me: A book. *blushes*
TM: Uh-huh, riiight!
Me: Whaaa? *whistles*
Am I right? *snorts*
I’m a newbie to Brie Paisley (no need to berate me – I’m quite adept at self-flagellation *smirks*), and OMFG, did she rock my socks off!
Trixie and Sebastian (drool!) are both complex characters that you can’t help but become invested in.
Trixie is searching for that elusive something in her life. Something that will give everything meaning. Confident but with a hidden vulnerability (no chuffing wonder she’s vulnerable – sorry, my lips are sealed). Sebastian calls to her soul. *whispers out side of mouth* Well, he was calling to something, but I don’t think it’s polite to mention it here!!
Sebastian is one of those characters who knows how to intrigue and entice you.
He beckons you close... just a bit closer... a teensy bit more. Right – that’s far enough!
This man’s layers have layers. Yet, when he gives you a little glimpse beneath the armour of his control it’s like the sun beaming down on you. Hallelujah! (You totally sang that, didn’t you?)
Theirs was a journey I did not foresee. I mean *shrugs*, I expected a case of dry mouth *winks* but, hand on heart, I did not expect to cry, yet cry I did. I can’t even blame the time of the month on my malfunctioning tear ducts! It was just the emotion building in the story.
Wow this is my 1st book by this author. She did an amazing job writing about one of my favorite tropes. BDSM. I enjoy a good storyline that is filled with not only passion, lust, but a little catastrophe as well. The mysterious slightly damaged, dark, hero that is not afraid to be a tad bit twisted sprinkled with some grit is just the icing on the cupcake. We get all of these things with Sebastian. Trixie is a young woman who is not afraid of her own sexuality. That is not something you get to read about very often. She is not the mousy afraid to move hero, no she is in touch with her self and is ok with it. However with this being said she knows something is missing. With Sebastian Trixie is able to find exactly what that is. The big question is will they both get what they need? Now this story flows really well and the character interaction helps with this. The emotions that are written in these pages will grip onto you and pull you in. You may quite possibly shed a tear or two as well.
Trixie's been fantasizing about her boss Sebastian for ages now. She wants him even more when she finds out he owns the sex club her friend brings her to. Now if she could just get Sebastian to approve her membership, she could find herself a Dom and leave her fantasies of Sebastian behind her. Except that's not how it's going to be because Sebastian's stuck in her mind and won't be evicted anytime soon.
As the two start to explore her newfound submissiveness, she does the one thing she shouldn't have - develop feelings for the man that doesn't seem to feel anything but lust. Can Trixie convince Sebastian to let go of some of his control, and hand over his heart to her the way she's handed over hers to him? Or is he too damaged to accept that she loves him and to admit he feels the same for her?
What I like about this story is that it's really a journey. It's not all sex with no plot or emotional connection, it's truly a journey. What I don't like is that Sebastian does not open up to Trixie until almost the very end and from there it's a short, but very emotional and angsty trip to their epilogue. Still, the good far outweighs the bad in this story and I will definitely be on the lookout for more from Brie.

This. Book. Was. Everything. Literally everything. From the very first chapter, I was hooked and I couldn't put this down. It gave me everything I didn't know I needed. It was dark and gripping and ENTHRALLED me. This one will be on my mind for a long time from now.
Addiction was my first read by Brie Paisley. It was intense and gritty and just what I needed at the moment. I was hooked almost immediately, captivated by the vivid description of Trixie's feelings and the just the setting of the book in general. Sebastian and Trixie had an intense, undeniable connection right from the start.
So, the BDSM aspect of this book is what sold me. In the D/s scenes, you can FEEL the attraction, the desire to please, the bond between Sebastian and Trixie. It just pours off the pages. My issue with the book is outside of those scenes, it was harder to feel the connection between them. There was some big obstacles for both the characters to overcome and Paisley handled them delicately.
Addiction is an emotional roller coaster that I didn't want to end. It was hot and intense, heartbreaking and shocking. I truly felt for Trixie and her desire to be loved. The book was definitely more emotional than I expected, but it made for a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed Brie's writing style and will definitely read more of her books.
Intense. Addiction is sooooo intense! From the get-go Trixie and Sebastian have a compelling relationship. The first part of the book had me thinking I knew how the story would go - boy, was I wrong!
Initially, Sebastian is a pretty dark character, and I was pretty sure he was going to have some ugly skeletons in his closet that Trixie would have to either overlook or forgive him for. But the reason for Sebastian's inability to trust comes as a huge surprise. In the same way Trixie's character does, I started to see Sebastian in a completely different light once his big secret was revealed. He became much softer and much easier to like, at the same time remaining the strong, sexy alpha. After Trixie learns about his past and he begins to show her what kind of person he is behind his mask it's easy to see why she's so attracted to him.
There are a couple of big twists in the book, and by the end of it we see how strong both characters really are. And how intense their love for each other has become. Sebastian becomes a rock for Trixie when she needs him most. Even when she pushes him away in the most cruel way, he continues to love her unconditionally.
Addiction is a fascinating read - I devoured it in one day! It surprised me, since I thought it would be a more run-of-the-mill romance with a little BDSM thrown in. It was that - but SO much more! The power of love between these two characters is addictive in itself! If you're in the market for a real escape that might keep you up reading for the night - try Addiction!
This is the story of Sebastian and Trixie.... It is a love story but a different.kind of love story. We also get to catch up with Viktor and Ava from Temptation the first book.in this series. Brie never disappoints. She creates characters that you care about. I a!ways enjoy her work! ♥♥♥♥
The title is perfect for this story. It is so ADDICTING! I could not put it down. Sebastian and Trixie are absolutely amazing. From the first chapter, I knew I was going to love their characters. This is the first book by Brie that I’ve read, but after this beauty, I can’t wait to dive into more.
I loved everything about this book, starting with the cover to the story to the characters.
Sebastian and Trixie's chemistry was just so out of this world. From the moment they met that chemistry began but they didn't explore it right away.
Trixie was just so fixated with Sebastian and she wanted more to life than just stripping. She needed more and when she got to explore the BDSM with Sebastian she knew that's what she was missing and she was missing it with the man she had a thing for. Sebastian was a little sketchy at first but I suppose you could say it's because of his past.
I just have to say that although this book was not heavy on the BDSM it still had a great deal of it but it was more tame. I still enjoyed reading about Sebastian and Trixie. I was addicted to this story!

Beatrice "Trixie" Harrington is a stripper working for Viktor Matvei when he introduces her to his new partner, Sebastian, his younger brother. Trixie is extrememly attracted to him but knows she can't cross the line with her boss.
Five years later Trixie is still stripping but is missing something from her life and her close friend Kendra introduces her to a new world. Nothing surprises Trixie than to see Sebastian there and knows she may finally have to cross the line with him.
But Trixie and Sebastian are on different pages when it comes to "them" and Trixie realizes what she has to do in order to save herself but is she strong enough to do it?
This was a wonderful book about love, weakness, and the ability to forgive yourself and realize sometimes life is truly out of your control.
I liked Trixie and understood why she wanted to live her life on her own away from her parents control. I hated her mom more and more every time we met her so I was happy that Trixie was living her own independent life.
Sebastian was a very interesting character as you could tell that he cared about Trixie and wanted her safe yet he was also distant with her. He only wanted her with him and always kept his eyes on her yet there was something missing. I was absolutely shocked at what happened at the gala and I was so mad at him and I was very proud of Trixie.
I was extremely surprised at when Sebastian finally opened up to Trixie and I understood why that changed him so much. I was so happy when he finally confessed how he felt and that things finally began to look up.
The next events were heartbreaking and it made me so sad at how much it affected Trixie and how she refused help. I was shocked at her next actions and it made me so sad for Sebastian.
I was so impressed that Sebastian never gave up and was finally able to make Trixie understand that she wasn't to blame! The end was awesome and I loved the epilogue!!

This was my first-time reading Brie Paisley. I was surprised that I have not heard about her before. I love books that take me out of my comfort zone. This story hit two of those points for me, stripping and BDSM. Plots like this bring out the fantasy that most readers may not get to experience firsthand. The attraction between Sebastian and Trixie started from the moment they saw each other. I love when authors do not give the Hero’s POV. For me, the unknown just builds the suspense. It was intensified in this book because we got even less from Sebastian since he was a dom. I loved everything about Trixie. She was so comfortable with herself and knew exactly what she wanted. Her struggle with not knowing how Sebastian felt about her built the sexual tension for the reader. I could not imagine being in a dom/sub relationship and not growing real feelings for the other person. If I could change anything it would be to have more depth with the characters. While we did get some details about their lives outside the club and their relationship, I needed more. As hot as their physical relationship was, it gets boring when that is all you get to read about. The buildup between Trixie and Sebastian had me drawn into the book and made me not want to put it down. Not everyone likes BDSM storylines, but this book is great for the tamer readers. Most people do not like the “whips and chains” but we do not see that side of it. Give it a chance you will not be disappointed. Great job Brie Paisley!
My request was heard because this fantastic author has a new book... Hell yeah... It's been a while since I had a book from her to read and I couldn't start it fast enough. Brie Paisley is freaking awesome. Her books are not only hot as hell but also super intense. Each book will make you dream and squirm. Lol Addiction is her latest release and explores Trixie's life. Trixie is a stripper. A stripper that used to love what she did but now... Now something is missing and that something is not a thing but... What a ride... What a beautiful and steamy ride... Dayum... It was perfect from the first page till the end. It was steamy and oh so forbidden. Perfect plot that Dominated everything. Every emotion, every laugh, every tear... It was perfect. I can't say it enough... So here goes... Perfect The chemistry the main characters shared is so tight and so intense that it gave me chills. The hot factor was through the roof and it almost burned. There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone so freaking hard... Jeez... Stubborn much?? But then there were others that I saw myself wanting to cry. It's always amazing to have a book that can evoke these feelings. Brie... Oh boy Brie... What a book. I really missed your writing and this book was the perfect comeback. But... What's next? You already know that I always want more.. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I completely devoured this book and couldn't put it down!
Dancing has filled that empty spot in Trixie's life.....gave her the rush, the excitement, feeling of power....for so long and now that feeling has become stale. When a girls night with a close friend at a private club opens her eyes up to a whole new world.......one that give her those feelings, that can satisfy that need and longing, Trixie is ready for a taste.
One of the things that I love about Trixie is that she is a strong dominate woman. She's not afraid to voice her opinion, call you out on being an ass or go toe-to-toe with someone. When it comes time to decide if she wants to be a sub or a dom, it's a no brainer, she's got to be the sub because her broody boss that she can't get her mind off of is a dom. But can she talk him into being her dom?
I don't want to give the story away, because it takes you on one helluva emotional roller coaster ride that you need to experience for yourself. But Trixie wants to break down the barriers and concrete walls that Sebastian has built around his heart and head. Yes, she is in his bed, but she wants to be in his heart and head. Can Sebastian let go of the past demons that keep him letting his guard down or he is going to stay cold and single and lonely for the rest of his life?
When I picked up Addicted, I needed something a little dark, a little gritty and a lot sexy. I had never read Brie Paisley before so I wasn’t sure exactly what I would get. Sometimes when you pick a sexy book that is all the book has to offer. It doesn’t always have much of a storyline/plot or relationship outside the physical. This was not the case with Addicted. While it is very heavy in the physical relationship it does offer insight into who Trixie and Sebastian are. We see their fears and their heartache. We see the passion and intensity that pulls them to each other. I really enjoyed Ms. Paisley’s writing style. I liked that she moved time quickly but with purpose through the book. From first meet to HEA, a relationship cannot always take place in 10 days. But instead of overloading detail or dragging time out Ms. Paisley moves things forward by giving us big moments coupled with a the small. It made the read enjoyable with out feeling rushed or losing the intensity of their relationship. This was a 4/5 read for me. I really enjoyed the characters and the story. I liked the pace of the story telling. There were a lot of emotions in this story so be prepared for some big moments of emotions.
Trixie has been working for the club for five years now. The excitement that she felt in the very beginning has started to fade; now she is feeling like something is missing from the life she was once in love with. She has been crushing on Sebastian since the first day she started working but he has always made her feel like it was just a one sided thing. When a co-worker introduces her to a different type of club and a different sort of excitement, Trixie feels like she has finally found the something that was missing, but when she realizes that Sebastian is also apart of this new excitement that's when it really clicks for her. Will Sebastian be the one to help Trixie navigate the uncharted territory? Will this be something more for Trixie or just another addiction that will fade?
So, first off I made sure I reread Temptation as that reminded me just who everyone is and all that jazz. I did enjoy Addiction, I love stories that include BDSM, I just wish there was more to the story, more about Trixie's training and all that. Some drama, an issue that might need a trigger warning, and some really amazing naughty bits; I give this 4 stars.
4.5 Stars Addiction is right!......I struggled to put his book down!! It is intense, hot and has sexual tension for days.... but underneath all the charged energy there is a heartbreaking story of two people just wanting to love and be loved in return. Trixie is a fantastic lead character, she is strong and knows exactly what she wants. I instantly warmed to her. I appreciated her no nonsense approach and the fact that she didn’t beat around the bush with anything... no hidden agendas just straight and to the point. The constant put downs from her horrible mother had made her all the more determined to seek her own happiness and never to settle for second best. Sebastian is a complicated man and when we learn his history my heart broke for him. The pain that this couple go through on their journey to a happy ever after had my heart in my mouth and tissues at the ready. This book had me hooked with, some bdsm, a delicious Dom, great supporting characters, light relief from young Miss Gabbie and a brilliant epilogue. My first from Ms Paisley, but certainly not my last.....
Given the subject matter of the book. I felt as if this was right up my alley. I wanted to love it. But as the book went on and on, I felt myself struggling to finish. Trixie and Sebastian's relationship starts off heavy. The way the author describes it, they want you to feel the chemistry and connection between the two of them. Unfortunately, I didn't. I found their relationship to be lacking. Lacking real communication between them. It isn't until later on do we get a real sense of who each of the characters are. Throughout the story I felt as if there were holes. Things that should have been there, that weren't. I felt as if this was part of a series and I didn't get the memo. At times I also felt the book was rushed. Although, there were a lot of things I didn't like about this book. I did like the issues the author touched on. I liked how they brought light to these matters and actually discussed them. Instead of sweeping them under a rug. Overall, this book was not for me. But I encourage everyone to read it and to form their own opinions.
I was so beyond excited to jump into this world again. We feel in love with this world and these characters in Temptation, which is Viktor and Ava’s story. You will need to read that book before jumping into this one. So go get on that then come back and read this one. Temptation is absolutely amazing and you won’t regret it.
Now back to this story at hand, Addiction.
I was honestly worried I wouldn’t like Sebastian’s story. But I loved it. FINALLY getting his back story and why he is the way he is, was rough but much needed. I loved finding out more about our standoffish, to himself, cold man. Even thought it wasn’t what I was expecting, it explains a lot.
Trixie....oh my heart Trixie! She holds my heart y’all. She has went through so much, but some how managed to come out strong in the end.
Their road isn’t easy. It’s intense. It’s hard. It’s raw. But it’s also beautiful. Worthwhile. And exciting.
This book is a journey I am so glad I took. It shouldn’t surprise me that I loved something Brie put out, but she blows my mind each and every time. ❤️❤️❤️
Trixie and Sebastian have sparks flying the instant they saw each other. She's been working at a club for 5 years, and the excitement is no longer there for her. A co-worker introduces her to a new lifestyle which her crush, Sebastian, is a big part of as a Dom. Trixie feels new excitement for this life, but she does need someone to guide her through it. Now, Addiction is a super sexy story which took me out of my comfort zone since I'm too alpha for my own good, but even more than that, the angst is leveled up. I ran the gamut of emotions while reading this raw & gritty read, so I was hung over when I finished that last page. I was captivated as I waited for trust to be formed, and pasts to be faced so hit those one click buttons to experience Addiction for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Addiction by Brie Paisley starts out HOT!!! There’s no mild lead in to this story. It’s all hot pole dancing and sexual tension, with a little touch of dom.
I was NOT expecting the BDSM in this book. I knew there would be an alpha but not like this, so if that’s your kink, this book is perfect for you. If you’re not sure, just know that Brie Paisley introduces both Trixie and the reader to this lifestyle gently and with emphasis on love and respect.
I’ll be honest; I wasn’t sure what to think of Sebastian because he’s so closed off. There were moments I wanted to just shake him, but by the end I understood him better and finally saw him for who he really was, a kind, loving, and devoted man.
WARNING: This book deals with many trigger subjects so if you’re easily triggered, you may want to pass on this one.
This is the first book by Brie Paisley that I have read and it didn't disappoint.
This book was intense in such a good way. From the beginning Trixie and Sebastain had a relationship that drew me in wanting to know more about them.
Sebastian was a darker character that we didn't know a lot about. He had some really dark secrets hidden in his closet. Will Trixie be able to look past this to be with him?
Trixie was more of an open book from the beginning. However, the more you read about her the more you find out that her life isn't as it seems. Will she be able to get what she needs to have the rush that she wants? Will Sebastian be able to help with this or will he push her away?
These two do not have it easy from the get go. Will the future be what Trixie wants or will it all come crumbling around them?
So this is my first read from this author and to be honest I had no idea what I would be in for with this story. Being a lover of all things taboo I jumped at the chance to arc read this book. The story pulls you in from the get go rips you apart emotionally then puts you back together. The relationship between Sebastian and Trixie is intense right from the get go. We learn things along the way about both characters and we see Sebastian grow to love a trust Trixie enough to open up about his past. When struggles hit not so long after we see Trixie hit rock bottom and I have to feel for Sebastian here because She could have handled it a lot differently but grief does funny things to a persons mind. I will definitely be diving into this authors back list.
It has been a while since I read a book with a sub/dom in it. So it was a nice change from the sappy love story that I usually read. And this one was really good! One thing I can say is that I like how the author Brie didn't make it all about sex. Sometimes there's too much that there is not much of a story line. In this case, Brie created a passionate story about trust, love, and to open up your true feelings! Trixie had a mind of her own from the start and even though she let Sebastian dominate her, she still was able to process her true feelings. She was still able to voice her own feelings regardless of the sub/dom relationship. Now Sebastian on the other hand... I guess you will have to read it to find out!
Omg what a rollercoaster of emotions. We briefly met Trixxie and Sebastian in Addiction but nothing prepared me for their story. After meeting in an unconventional place and setting off fireworks with their attraction we see the pull and push with these characters. Love seeing how the characters go through a change to get to a place that they could accept what they feel. Sebastian is such an alpha male. I do see how Trixxie is a strong character. Although she lets Sebastian run the show she puts her for down when need be. There is nothing more that I dislike than a pushover. In this book we also see a lil after from Ava and Viktor from Addiction. It’s a lil bonus to a previously read story. Give this book a 5 star read and would love staying this world.
A new author for me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect really but this book was really enjoyable. Addiction follows the characters of exotic dancer Beatrice Harrington, or Trixie, and nightclub owner Sebastian Matvei. At first glance, Trixie and Sebastian had an attraction to one another, but it takes Trixie’s friend Kendra to give them the push they both need when she brings Trixie to a BDSM club owned by Sebastian and he discovers that she could just be the Sub to his Dom that he’s been searching for. Of course, as Trixie grows closer to Sebastian, secrets are revealed and a devastating tragedy breaks them apart. But can Sebastian be the one to save her instead? I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This is my first time reading this author and I couldn't have picked a hotter one to start. Trixie works in a strip club for her it's not about the money, it makes her feel in control and allows her to explore her sexuality. Sebastian has intrigued her from the moment she saw him, he's dark mysterious and sexy. As the story is told mainly from Trixie's perspective we don't know Sebastian very well, we do see his emotions in particular scenesbut I wouldn't say I knew him well by the end of the book. Can Sebastian guide Trixie in exploring the BDSM lifestyle or will they crash and burn before they can get started. I would have liked if the author had included more about Trixie's training and how that impacted on their relationship.
This is Trixie and Sebastian’s story. Trixie had had feeling for Sebastian since she first met him, but her feelings do not seem to be reciprocated. Trixie works in a club but has found that she has become jaded over the past few years and is yearning for more excitement in her life. When a co-worker introduces her into another darker type of club, she finds that the excitement has come back into her life, especially when she finds that Sebastian is also part of this club. This is a well written story which is dark, and with drama and love and which may contain triggers for some readers due to the content. I look forward to reading more form this author and recommend her work.
The attraction between Sebastian and Trixie started from the moment they saw each other. The attraction between them intensified as the book went on. Sebastian is a dom who is looking for a sub. Trixie was a dancer at a strip club but was looking for something more and her best friend took her a sex club. Trixie is so comfortable with herself and knew exactly what she wanted. Trixie struggles with not knowing how Sebastian feels bout her and this built the sexual tension while reading this. Trixie and Sebastian had there ups and downs as a couple but they were trying to figure out what they both wanted out of there relationship with each other outside of there dom/sub relationship. This book was really good and I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.
I received an early copy of this book in exchange for a fair review.
I have to say I was surprised on how well this story read. I have to say I don't read these kind of books usually but I really enjoyed the story line that this author did with this book. It was believable and you felt what these characters where going through. Both coming from different back grounds but both dealing with issues that they both needed to work out. Building walks and trying to get those walls down are so like in real life. This author really knew how to keep the readers reading by keeping them involved and wanted to see how this was going to all work out. I feel like the end few chapters were rushed a bit but only because I wanted more.
I was fascinated by Addiction. It took me on a whole new adventure. We meet Trixie and discover the one that brings her completely to life. Then she discovers a new passion. A never-ending, life fulfilling passion in a Russian who she cannot fall for. Sebastian is sexy and dominating. He also knows Trixie is off limits.
I enjoyed how Sebastian gives Trixie her freedom during the day in her career and personal life but when it comes to their nights, he is in complete control. I fell in love with this couple and did not want their story to end.
