The Save a Life Initiative has just released its newest course: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). This manual is based on the 2015-2020 Pediatric Advanced Life Support guidelines published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation. The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Handbook is a comprehensive resource intended for health care professionals currently enrolled in a Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification or Recertification Course. It serves as the primary training material for PALS Certification and Recertification courses. Although it is primarily intended for use during certification courses, the handbook was also created to serve as daily reference material for health care professionals. Information covered in the handbook includes EKG and electrical therapy review, pediatric respiratory failure, and more. Specific PALS Algorithms and more are also included within the handbook. All material included in this handbook is delivered in a manner meant to enhance learning in the most comprehensive and convenient way possible.

Decent. Thought it would be better lol but very similar to acls. Just needed to mark it as read or else it looks like I haven’t read anything and not reached my goal. But this is why
It’s simple, useful and well-written book, but unfortunately, in version 2016.01, I found a printing error in page 52 in the algorithm of “Cardiac Arrest”; “Yes” and “No” are switched-place. Also, “VF/VT” wrote twice instead of “Asystole/PEA” in the right side of the page.
Great review tests This makes sure you understood what you read
Fast good read. Concise. All encompassing. Good prep for coarse and worth having to look over before a test. Cover cardiac, covers shock and signs syptoms. With lots of reviews
There are confusing statements especially in the chapter on Shock (i.e. some data in the tables do not correspond with text [distributive vs. cardiogenic]) and algorithms on the management of dysrrhythmias.
