This one is absolutely fantastic. Not only is this THE best Jewish pastoral care book I've ever read, I believe that it has raised the bar for pastoral care overall. This was an assigned textbook for a graduate-level class, but contains ideas and teachings that anyone (Jewish or not) working in caregiving professions, or personally facing family health and quality of life decisions would benefit from. Easy to read, and deep. Highly recommended, and I plan to use it in teaching for many years to come.
