In this story we see Grace and Ian from the falling series. It's Christmas in Paris and due to a heavy storm Ian is struggling to make it home from his tour for Christmas Day. Missy and family have come to visit Grace but it's just not the same as having her husband home. Then Grace gets a terrible call to say that there has been an accident. Will Ian be ok and will he eventually make it home for Christmas.
I loved meeting the characters again and it's lovely to keep reading how they are evolving over time. This short Christmas novella was a nice little evening read that made me feel all warm and cozy once I had turned the last page.
This is the first is a new mini series following these much loved characters and I can't wait to read more from them.
I am a huge fan of Marisa Oldham and was really happy that she continued the story of the lives of Grace and Ian plus Missy and Jaden. This book start after a few years The Falling Series. We get to see where these characters are and what has become of them. This was a feel good short story. I enjoyed that Marisa brought them back to "life". Thank you Marisa for bringing my favorite people back!
Following up with the characters of The Falling Series, Grace finds herself in Paris, just before Christmas, while Ian is on tour with the band. The ending of the book leaves you wanting more of Grace and Ian can’t wait to read the next book. Grace finds out due to storms Ian won’t be able to make it home for Christmas and it will be their first Christmas apart. With Michelle, Jayden and Micah arriving Michelle assures her sister that is there is any way that Ian can get back to her he will. Grace’s worst fears are confirmed when she receives a call from the Band’s manager, who say Ian is missing, he hired a car and was going to get a flight to Paris, the police found the car but no sign of Ian. After calling the polis she learns the same as the band manager told her, until they call later and must call off the search until the next morning. Only with the support of her sister and Jayden does Michelle think she will make it through the nightmare of not knowing what will happen with Ian.
I couldn't imagine what Grace went through after getting the call from Ian's band manager that she received in Christmas day. This couple had been throat lot that would break most people. I'm just glad Grace has her sister and best friend Jaden to be with her through it all.
I absolutely love Marisa's stories they all pack a lot of emotions and events that are real and relatable. I would recommend them all, even the ones that I have yet to read because I'm currently devouring them all very quickly.
It took me until today to find the time to read the follow-up to Grace and Ian's story. Since I have read this entire series of books the characters have seemed to become a part of my family life. Marisa never disappoints with her writing skills...she makes the characters relatable and people you wish you knew in real life. I love this continuation and can't wait to read more!!
Visiting your favorite characters is always a great thing to do. So I was super excited when I read Falling in Paris: A Christmas Romance. What a fantastic Christmas story. The twist in the story put me on the edge of my seat! I can not wait to read the next book in this series.
I absolutely loved this story. How can you not love Ian and Grace? These books are amazing. Well written with characters you will instantly fall in love with. This is one book I'm glad I got the chance to enjoy!
I forgot how much I loved these characters! If you haven't read the Falling Series, then read it first because there will be spoilers. However, if you've read the series, you'll love this short story!
I love Grace and Ian so am pleased beyond belief about this turn of events! So glad I have book 2 already! Glad Michelle and Jaden, Sara and James and their girls are all together for Christmas. The fantasy is alive and well...their life is a dream.
I don't think I will ever get enough of Jade....er....Ian and Grace. Or Jaden. I have been begging for this since I read the last page of the beta version of The Falling of Hope, and I am thrilled with this beginning short. I will, of course be looking forward to more.
This is definitely not a stand alone....start with The Falling of Love and continue through Learning to Breathe before you pick this up, but it is filled with ahhh's, squeeeee's, a few wtf's and an oh yeah baby! Quite a lot to squeeze into a few short pages, but fans will be thrilled and even more excited for the next After We Fell update.
Bonus peek into another upcoming book by the author, which will go to the top of my TBR as soon as the option is available. It appears it will be quite a bit different from the author's other works, but definitely something to look forward to as well.
Loved this Christmas short! (though it could easily be read any time if year.) Aptly placed in the "After We Fell" series (since you should read the Falling Series and Learning to Breathe first) it brings back some much beloved characters and takes you through the an emotional tug of war. There were some amazing twists and a surprise ending that any Falling Series fan won't want to miss reading! And what's better than the sound of Christmas in Paris?! So glad I got my hands on this one and EXTREMELY excited there will be more!
