Owen is on a mission for vengeance. Exiled from his home clan in Ireland, he finds himself in a cabin in the mountains of California. There, he will train, get stronger, and prepare to claim his rightful place on the throne. But when his path crosses with an all too curious and sassy human, Amy, he begins to question his entire purpose. Amy stirs feelings in him that he thought died along with his girlfriend, years ago.
Amy’s mundane job as a local radio show host has her yearning for something new. Her days seem to blend together. That is, until listeners start to call in, reporting dragons being spotted in the sky. Amy is compelled to investigate, expecting to find a hoax. When her investigation leads to Owen, she finds more than she had bargained for. Amy’s quest to cure boredom is about to implode.

Again. So boring. This was so much like the last one with an overwhelming amount of awkward talking, both out loud and in the character's head. It's so tedious and, yes, boring. So many things are inconsistent here too. Like Owen keeping Amy a secret from his brother because she's a human, yet he quite literally spills out ALL of the dragon secrets to her hours after meeting her despite her being human. And he can tell her all those secrets, but won't tell her that he's even there with his brother.
I didn't like Amy either. She was too self righteous about everything between her and Owen considering she barely knew the guy and their relationship was never really much more than having sex. Plus, she fancied herself a celebrity because she had a show on the radio with good ratings. Really? Wow.
For some unfathomable reason, Owen and the others have apparently been flying over the city and being seen. For three people trying to keep a low profile, you would think they would be smart enough not to fly that low over a freaking city. But it's the people who have witnessed them and then called into Amy's show that have her curious. So she rents a cabin and goes up hoping to spot a dragon. Never expecting to be saved by one when an avalanche separates her from her friend and strands her up there. It was just so ridiculous to believe that Owen has been unable to move on from the death of his girlfriend for so many years, and then *bam* he's in love with this human woman the moment he sees her in the rain. I mean, come on. So yeah, nothing happens here except these two trying to figure out a relationship and Amy getting mad all the time. And it's because of Amy that Owen makes a decision in the end that really annoyed me.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it! It was entertaining! Amy is a radio jockey who has been getting calls about people seeing dragons flying around. So her and her friend Barb go up in the mountains and go camping. Amy gets caught in an avalanche and Barb goes goes gets help and that's how Amy meets Owen. The story goes from there. There is no world building, it is strictly character driven. There is no explanation when the characters go to do something say from walking then all of a sudden they are in a restaurant with food at the end of their meal. Jumps around too much.
This is the first book by this author and it was a good debut. It's a short story that takes a couple hours to read. Amy and Owen are great together. After being hurt in her last relationship, Amy is not so quick to trust another man. When Owen lost his first love he gave up on ever finding another person he could feel a strong bond with. How do they both move past their pasts to find the love they deserve? Give this a chance and find out. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
This review is based on the advertised book not the additional books included after.
I have to say, I quite enjoyed this book. The characters were likable and the story good. It was full of angst and a dragon finding his mate even if he had a horrible past. Then there's Amy who had her heart broke and didn't trust men. Yet the two meet and something lights between them. Enjoyed it.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. I even subcribed to the newsletter so I could read the prequel and get updates for more of the series. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
I'll be honest I couldn't get into this story at all. I didn't connect with the characters or anything so it was hard to enjoy. I've read a lot of dragon shifter books but this one was lacking for me. I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.
This is a great quick read. Sadly the story was over before I knew it. I was so happy that Owen found love with Amy after his past. Can’t wait to read the next story.
Short story of Owen a dragon who has been exiled due to finding out the truth about his father's death and Amy a human DJ who wanders around the mountains checking out if the rumors of dragons being seen were true . 4⭐ Sweet tale of love triumphing over liss and making the decision to let the past stay in the past . If you like dragon stories this one is a great series to start with book 1. I received a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review. This copy contains 5 other stories at the end so don't be fooled by the length of the book .
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. “I just saw a dragon flying near the freeway." Amy, a radio personality, is rather surprised to get that call. Having an investigative journalism background she just can't let it go and has to check things out for herself. Things don't exactly go smoothly but she certainly gets her answer. This follows the, at times, turbulent story of Amy and her dragon. It's a great read. It's well paced with a fab writing voice. Great to curl up to and read. If you like a little dragon with your romance then it's for you.
Book was alright. It's the story of a dragon shifter Owen and his mate Amy. There is sex but not much romance. Not very much action or shall I say no action. I'll read the next book to see where the story goes. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited.
Not really sure where the title comes from because I don't think anyone was really "saved". It was still an enjoyable book and enough to make me keep reading other things she has written.
Ohhh love a good Dragon romance. This is one amazing book. Really well written and such a fun read. This is a short book for me. But man it was good. I am off to read book two as it is already out so check in a while for that review too.
This book is about Amy a young woman who is a radio personality at a local station. When all of a sudden she starts getting calls about dragons flying over L.A. but even though she thinks it is a hoax, she finds herself looking at maps trying to find out where they are coming from. And then Amy and her friend are heading to hike the mountain in search of them. But while her and her friend is hiking. Something happens and she gets stuck. Thankfully her friend was not stuck so she has to have her friend go for help. Little did she know that help was much closer than she knew? And what a shock it was when a shockingly handsome guy walks into her camp site and rescues her. After a night on the mountain with the hunk she is now safe and back to her home in town . But she is wondering if she will ever see him again. Let’s hope he cannot stay away.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
So we have Dragons flying around and people spotting them. So what do people do when they see things that shouldn't be around do? They call radio station. They call Amy the radio DJ. Of course she thinks this is a hoax until she sees one herself.
Amy and Owen meet on the mountain, well meet is more rescue haha. Things heat up between these two pretty quickly. One minute I'm thinking that's too quick and unsafe, the next I'm thinking yes but Dragons and mates whole different thing. They both have had broken hearts in in completely different ways, but still leaves them both with issues.
This is a sweet love story I'm kind of going between 3 and 4 star on this one. It's a good story and I love the characters it's just something is missing. But then again it's a first in the series. This is also the first time I have read anything from this Author but I would definately read more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This was such a feel-good book in the end. It shows again that "the love of a woman can redeem a man". Okay, a dragon, you knew what I meant! When I finished the book, I really did feel good all over. I have every intention of starting the next book immediately. I would recommend this book to any romance fan. The science fiction/fantasy aspect is an extra perk as far as I'm concerned.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I liked it. It will melt your heart out with sexy tones of romance and drama; it will tear you up at times. At times it was so boring and when the female main character meet the main male character, it was like not please help my friend at all. That would have been on my mind before, holy shit this male is sexy or even having unprotected sex with him.
She also had no pregnancy scare when they had sex and he cummed inside of her. That part was good scene. The others were just stupid and boring it didn't show at all, it just told us but really graphic it.
I loved the idea of dragon shifters within the modern world.
This book i really would half recommand if you are bore of the main shifters books we have out here, wolves, cats, bears.
I give this book 2.5 stars to 3 stars but it wasn't going higher than that.
Amy is a radio announcer wanting more in her life, she had studied to be an investigative reporter but thought her job would lead her to bigger opportunities. So when citizens began to call in with mysterious sightings of a dragon flying around the city she just thought it was a joke... until one flew over her car while she was stuck in traffic. Amy decides to map all the locations of the sightings and tries to get her friend to help her by going on a camping holiday to the mountains where she thinks the link is......... but you will have to get it to find out. This was a great read with characters that you will love and they may frustrate you. I received this from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.
It will melt your heart❤️ Saved by a Dragon is the second book in this series, after Exiled Dragon. I was over the top once I got my hands on this book. Ms Stone takes you into a world of dragons, romance, mystery and all kinds of paranormal things that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Each characters can fit into your everyday life with a twist of magic all of their own. If you are looking for a story that will touch your heart with a sprinkle of paranormal Saved by a Dragon is the book for you!!!! Dreamers this a keeper♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️ I was given this book in exchange for my honest review
This was a novella about Amy, a radio personality who meets Owen, a dragon shifter. Owen is on a mission to avenge the death of his father, but after meeting Amy, he has to make a decision. Carry through with his revenge, or let it go and live a life with Amy. This book was funny, and Owen was sweet but kind of clueless about living in the modern world. I loved when Amy was on the air for her radio show. It was hilarious when people kept calling in saying they had seen dragons, and she thought her listeners were crazy.
This was my first time reading a book by Sarah Stone, but I found that I was delighted to find another Dragon shifter series that I would like to investigate further. I liked that the plot was different from many of the other dragon shifter books i've read, and I also liked how she touched on the emotions and vulnerabilities of the main characters. This was a delightful, easy read with unexpected events. If you enjoy dragon shifter books, you should really enjoy this one. I will be continuing the series to see what happens next.
Definitely a lot of good sex scenes but just not enough meat behind them to keep the story alive. While it was a fun romp, with a good premise, it just didn't appeal to me. I felt more for the best friend than I did for either of the two main characters.
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I can only give this one three and a half hearts. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't that great.
Seeing dragon shifters in the LA sky is a new one. Radio host keeps getting calls about people seeing them. The investigative journalist in her sees a flight pattern and take a friend into the mountains to see if she can find the truth. After a small snow avalanche happens and separates her and her friend, Amy finds what's she's looking for and much more. Well written and entertaining to read.
What a fantastic story from start to finish, with the beginning being about dragon sightings and a womans quest for investigation does she go on a journey to look for these dragon's only to be saved by one in more ways than one, with her saving him in return. This story leaves you feeling scared, happy, distraught and anxious along with the characters as you are taken on their story.
I rated this book at 2.5 stars because I DNF it. It was boring and the writing was stilted. I got 8 chapters into the book but it just did not get any better. Too much insta-love, insta-sex, insta-acceptance that he's a dragon etc. it just did not work for me.
I give it three and a half stars. It was entertaining, mostly because I like dragons. Rather simplistic. If you ever think you see a dragon, please call your local talk radio host(ess) and report it. I guess you have ore chance of those elle believing you than calling anyone else! Amy does some research and sets off to prove these sightings a hoax. Of course she instead actually finds one of the dragons, those she doesn't realize that at first. Than she finds herself in the position of trying to hide their existence instead of reporting it. Bummer. Owen is set to revenge his father's death and his family's exile when he meets Amy. Could the love of a human change his course? There is a preview story and another dragon story included with this book. I liked the preview of the prequel to this book. I think I might look it up. I was gifted a copy of this book. My review is voluntary.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This was actually so much better than Betrayed by a Dragon but still not a five star book. The good things are that the writing has gotten better, there’s a sense of time just like in the first book, the pace was perfect for the plot and I loved seeing Owen be the guy who isn’t all alpha male about not showing his feelings.
The bad things were that what happened when they met seemed rather fast, though that was redeemed a bit.
Big, glaring mistake, the brother, Connor, was married in the first book but now Emily is back to being the girlfriend and they’re getting married next year.
Besides that though, hardly any other mistakes besides how she completely forgot about the blue and silver dragon. I mean, she really didn’t have a lot to go on when she went searching for dragons so, forgetting about one of the sightings doesn’t make sense.
