Preso su Amazon gratis, spinta dal desiderio di avere un aiuto per praticare Yoga a casa, oltre che a lezione. La prima cosa che ho notato è che i capitoli sono impostati male. Si parte subito con il saluto al sole e alla luna, per poi avere un capitolo dedicato alla fase iniziale, con respirazionie stretching etc.. Il capitolo finale poi, fa una carrellata di tutte le altre posizioni in base all'ibiettivo che il singolo vuole raggiungere: Addominali schiena gambe.
Di per se l'idea non è male. C'è la foto della posizione con il nome, Sotto una spiegazione su respirazione e descrizione della posizione, Poi i suoi benefici. Ma come dicevo è struttrato male, secondo me ovvio. Per cui secondo me va bene per chi come me ha già una base dalle lezioni. Per chi invece parte da zero, non so. E poi la traduzione in alcuni punti non è proprio fatta bene.
Cque devo dire che un aiuto per crearmi la mia lezione casalinga di Yoga me l'ha dato. quindi tre stelline gliele do. ^^
A good book about Yoga, for people interested in starting it. Lots of visuals regarding the posses, and instructions/guides, along with details about health benefits. This book will get a person up and running in Yoga, I found the instructions easy to follow, the book is well presented and of good quality. No editorial errors in the book. Very educational, this book guides you along well in yoga methods.
Il libro è molto utile per introdursi al mondo dello yoga, ma trovo che le sezioni andrebbero gestite meglio: prima una introduzione generale e motivazionale, poi le tecniche di respirazione e meditazione, poi gli esercizi e le sequenze. Un po' da migliorare anche la traduzione.

Has many different types of yoga positions. I felt these poses, especially the ones in the back would not be for beginners at all but you can work up to doing them. Other works by the author are highlighted at the end. Excerpt is included.
I have been interested in trying yoga and mediation for numerous reasons. The biggest reason is medical. This is the best book I have found so far that is easy to understand and follow. I look forward to trying it out with this book's help. I can't afford classes and this book was free. Would recommend to anyone in my situation.
A simply written and detailed book for any yoga inspired soul
I found a yogic friend in the author and the Asanas are so clearly articulated and idiot proofed. Definitely recommend for a start guide to yoga and meditative practices.
I appreciated the concise sections on breathing and meditation. The pose descriptions are brief and, in my opinion, minimize the potential for injury. The illustrations are clear though somewhat odd given they are computer generated.

It's great that this book has different types of yoga poses for different purposes. For example in this book you could find yoga poses for weight loss and muscle tone, relaxation, meditation,and therapeutic purposes among several others. This book also does a good job at explaining what to do and how to do it while at the same time telling you the benefits that you will see from doing a certain pose. I think that if you are new to yoga this is a good place to start at.
I've been practicing yoga for about 6 months now, so I am still a beginner with a great deal to learn. This book provided me with some new poses to try, as well as good instructions on how to do them. My only complaints are that the pose illustrations are small and not always very helpful, and that the book very much needs an editor. The poor wording, typos, spelling errors, etc detract from what is otherwise a really good resource.
This book has the REAL Yoga feel about it, and not the hyped up hard sell approach of some other yoga books. I would have liked pictures or diagrams/stick figures for at least some of the exercises described :) but the instructions are kept some and short. Thank You Tai.
I loved the explanations and benefits of poses. They were thorough yet short and to the point. Author takes it a step further and discusses how to make yoga a habit and better yourself and your quality of life. Very motivating!
I was looking for a beginner's book and this was just right. It has detailed and clear explainations and photos which I found easy to follow and understand etc. More pictures would have been good but all in all very good.
