~5 Can't Get Enough Stars~

Searing Ecstasy is the seventh book in The Guardians of the Realms Series. This series is by far my favorite Paranormal Romance Series. The Guardians are powerful beings that are trying to protect the four realms, keep a solid balance between evil and good , and somehow manage to find their mate.
Searing Ecstasy is the long awaited story of Drake the leader of the guardians. He works to maintain control over the guardians and at the same time battles his own raging dragon that lives within. In Binding Ecstasy, Drake discovered his mate Delia. Alas, they cannot be together because of the workings of a wicked man. Although he has been destroyed, the aftermath of his terror has left irrevocable destruction. Drake has rescued Delia and is trying to keep her safe in the Guardian Manor. Although he is trying to keep her comfortable, the pain of the two being apart weighs heavy on his heart and causes his dragon to rebel.
"He couldn't get anywhere near that fucking link. The connection was only getting more sensitive. Fighting the dragon didn’t alleviate the desire to fuck, not even marginally. He still felt the echoes of her mental touch even though they’d severed all contact."
Delia had been badly beaten physically and emotionally and after enduring painful "medical testing" has been left with two beasts living inside of her. If she were to try to mate with Drake, she would then have a third beast (a dragon) housed in her body and she would be destroyed. Because Drake and Delia cannot be together, the pain is excruciating on them both. As Drake tries desperately to heal his mate, the emotional bond between the two continues to strengthen. Drake's ability to lead the guardians is wavering as he mourns over the separation from Delia. Additionally, Drake has to contend with two Gods now on the loose.
In addition to Drake and Delia's story, we also get an extra bonus of the continuation of Sander and Nastia's story. Nastia is a fiery female who will not submit to anyone. Until of course, she meets her match. Nastia and Sander are intense together and their witty banter made me smile the entire read!
“Let’s go, so you can get to fucking my brains out, nasty girl.”
The camaraderie between the Guardians is unique as they live together as a family. The emotional investment the reader makes in each character is rewarded in full as their stories continue throughout each book of the series. Imagine reading your favorite book over and over again but not getting bored because it just keeps getting better and better!
Searing Ecstasy is a phenomenal read with it's thorough character development, engaging plot, and "smoking hot" sex scenes! Having the word ecstasy in each title of each book could not be a more appropriate description of what you will experience while reading this series!
"It was a desperate mating of their mouths that he leaned into and managed to control without even using his hands. She was dizzy with it by the time she broke away to caress every inch of his throat and chest as she moved down, straddling one thick thigh, rotating her hips as she licked and sucked her way to her prize."
Told in multiple POV, I simply did not want this story to end. The action was well paced and the descriptive writing of Ms. Jay establishes the believability of this paranormal world with ease! The scope of emotions felt while reading Searing Ecstasy was vast as I felt pain, fear, sadness, passion, and utter joy right along with these characters.
Overall, Searing Ecstasy is a must read for Paranormal Romance Fans. This series just keeps getting better with each book. I simply cannot rave enough about The Guardians of the Realm. As for which Guardian is my favorite, I can only say I love them all. I simply cannot wait to see what happens next in this fantastical world. Bravo Ms. Jay! I will be anxiously awaiting the next Guardian's Story in this series!

A thing of nightmares became His Goddess of Light.
I’ve decided after reading Searing Ecstasy I’m a fickle pickle. Actually, I always knew I was fickle when it comes to heroes, but this just reinforces it. When I started this series I did the unthinkable and read the second book, Ecstasy Claimed, first. For awhile there Gregoire and Alyssa were my favourite couple. He was so bossy, protective and devoted I couldn’t help but love him. She was sweet but didn’t mind going head to head with him when they didn’t agree. These are some of my favourite traits for a hero and heroine. The other couples were great too, but just not AS bossy, protective and devoted. Noticed how I talk about couples and then only mentioned bossy, protective and devoted. I can’t help myself. I find most times if the hero sucks, the story will suck. Anyways, Greg and Aly were up there as my favourites…UNTIL…Bastian and Tasha rocked my world. I loved Bastian and Tasha, they were awesome together and their connection was beautiful. I think the other reason Binding Ecstasy worked so well for me was beside Bastian and Tasha’s mating we see Sander and Nasty (Nastia) lock eyes, feel the earth move and start growling at each other. Oooh, it’s the FRENZY!! We also see Drake having serious meltdowns because his destined mate is a thing of nightmares.
Delia’s character is broken when we see her in the beginning of Searing Ecstasy. She had been used in experiments by the evil Cyril. These experiments included mating her with a wolf shifter and with Cyril himself. Both matings left her with beasts fighting it out inside her wanting to take control. The beasts have also given her incredible powers. She is one STRONG chick. When Delia and Drake find out that they are fated mates, things don’t fall into place naturally. Drake’s dragon wants to claim her but with all the experiments done on her, Delia is scared she might hurt or kill him. This is devastating for the both of them. Their mating problems take an unexpected turn when a surprising source lends a helping hand.
I love this series and now I have the problem of a three-way tie for best in the series. Drake who has been a cranky pain in the butt is so sweet around Delia. The mating between Nasty and Sander (even though we didn’t get to witness it…peeved) was explained quite humorously. P’s Dad made me chuckle a few times with his arrogance and self-importance. Sirena is still exhausted, but I think things might improve for her soon. So now three Ecstasy’s have rocked my world. Gregoire, Bastian and Drake…get in the ring and fight it out. I’d like to see that….
Searing Ecstasy was filled with action, mystery and adventure. The sexy times were steamy and I loved that Delia was Drake’s Temptress. This series is one of my favourites and I can’t wait to read more.
Sascha you poor bugger. I wouldn’t wish him on you in a million years. Can’t wait for you to wake up and see who’s FRENZYING for you :-)

4.5 FINALLY stars
Drake is the leader of Guardians, more god like in power and strength, charged with protecting of the realms, keeping their Gods in their place and to keep those that matter most safe. Only he has failed, not only is a God loose, but the one female who belongs to him, and him alone, is broken beyond repair.
Delia has been kept a prisoner and experimented on again and again, she houses two broken beasts inside her and it takes everything she has to keep them contained. The woman who was intended for the Guardian, is long gone, she had to die in order to survive, but never did she wish for a different fate than solitude.
Not knowing what would happen if they should mate, housing a third beast especially one as powerful as his dragon is too much of risk and Drake would never forgive himself if something of his own doing would bring harm to Delia. Unable to mate and complete the bond, they grow wild and feral, fighting their beasts urge to claim each other as their own.
Searing Ecstasy has been a story long awaited, I honestly don't think that the Realms could take the wait any longer and this delivered on such an erotic-anamalistic level. All work and no play makes Drake a very pissed off dragon, but I don't blame him, he carries the weight of two worlds on his shoulders. I knew going in that the female paired with Drake would have to be equally strong, needing to help carry his burden so it really was no surprise just how amazing Delia is. Their need for possession was off the freaking charts and their connection unbreakable. Plus they have these crazy powers that make their mating even more interesting ;)
What I love most about The Guardian of the Realms Novel's is the fact that I never know what to expect, aside from the insanely erotic matings that is. The shared plot throughout the Novel just makes it unpredictable and the possibilities endless, making it even more exciting since I don't foresee an end to this series any time soon. I am fully invested in the series, and it has become one of my most favorite paranormal erotica series ever! I can't wait to get into the next book, because I might have to trade a Guardian for a God.

Seven books. Seven erotically charged and deliciously addicting books. All of it leading up to this glorious moment; Drake. I've been anxiously anticipating for the leader of the Guardians and constantly growling and smoke billowing dragon shifter to get his book, even before his heroine was introduced. And when the author did reveal who the heroine would be in one of the biggest twists ever? Let's just say on a scale of 1 to ten, I was somewhere around rabid. I wanted it BAD is what I'm trying to tell you here.
Searing Ecstasy had a slightly different feel to me then the rest of the series. For one, the mating frenzy was accepted by both Drake and Delia right away and there wasn't so much in the form of relationship development to be had. Primary the struggle was wrapped around Delia's aftereffects of the torture she endured at the hands of the sadistic Cyril. Being the host to not one but two beasts; one of which has lost it's intended mate is slowly draining her and mating with Drake just may set both of them over the edge. So the majority of the time is spent trying to find a cure for Delia's shadow beast and allowing her to safely mate with Drake.
The secondary story bring the conclusion of Nastia and Sander's story. They first captured my interest in Binding Ecstasy and I couldn't wait to see how things turn out between Nasty and her phoenix. I have to admit that they're story actually almost overshadowed the one of Drake and Delia for me.
There's also the addition of a brand new character that's sure to bring quite a few twists of his own. Luckily his book is next so I don't have to wait long.
I enjoyed this book just as much as I've enjoyed every other book in this series. It's erotic, action packed and filled with plenty of twists and turns. Admittedly I didn't find Drake and Delia as a dynamic enough couple as I had anticipated. This may be due in part to me setting my hopes fairly high for their story. I suppose I just crave a little more relationship angst in my stories, so this very well may be just me. Readers that enjoy the instant spark will enjoy the heck out of it! I also lost count on the amount of times Sander growled. The man did that a lot. I'm not sure if he could even speak normally if he tried lol. But then again, it was pretty hot, so can't complain too much.
Setta Jay has become synonymous for me with erotic PNR. The woman weaves a hell of an addicting story with this series and I hope it never ends. It's my go-to when I need something super fun and sexy but with a touch of grit. I highly recommend reading the series in order because there is typically a secondary romance that continues throughout two books parallel to the main couple.
If you're a fan of super sexy PNR, this series is an absolute must read!

Voices: Drake, Delia, Hades and Nastia
Hey there! I'm still very much engaged in this series and I'm in a hurry to get back to it. I'll leave you with some tidbits and hope they entice you to fall in love with this series yourselves!

What an amazing read! Truly, the Guardians of the Realms series has hit its stride. I was absolutely glued to the pages. Its intense, creative, and magnetic coupling of Delia and Drake is one of the best duos thus far in the series.
Author Setta Jay is developing a family of characters in her Guardians world that has the potential to become one of the best PNR series around. The more I get into the series the more I want to know. Adding in the secondary characters paralleling the main couple is a fantastic way of keeping up with the “fam” and I love it!

OMG!!!! This book was so freaking amazing! Setta Jay has done it yet again! I swear, she can do no wrong! I have loved every book in this series and they just keep getting better and better.
Drake has been one Guardian that I have anticipated reading about from the beginning. And once we knew who his mate would be, it's been a struggle with patience for me.
Ok, so this is the part where I'm supposed to tell you all about things that happen in the book that I loved, buuuuutt... I can't do that. Here's why: I LOVED EVERY SINGLE LINE WRITTEN! There's just no way for me to give a short recap. I'd have to basically write the whole book here. However, I will touch on some of my most favorite points. Cuz I'm nice like that ;)
First, I abso-freaking-lutely loved how Drake was with his mate - before during and after. He was so concerned with her well being and just wanted to make sure she was good. I also really loved how Drake and Delia's dragons played with each other when they met for the first time after the mating. It was so cute and adorable. Well, as adorable as dragons can be I suppose ;)
Second, SANDER AND NASTY NASTIA!!! Holy freaking hot sexy times with a story in the story Batman!
Those two were on FIRE! In fact, I have a theme song just for them!
It's pretty perfect. I really enjoyed the two of them dancing around each other and finally coming together... hee hee ;)
Third, and that would be P my friends. Pothos is my next most anticipated Guardian to read about. I really hope he gets his own book, and soon. He was a great supporter in this one and I loved how we got to know a little more about him and some of his secrets.
And that leads into fourth, and that would be HADES people! Holy hell! (Pun slightly intended lol) This God is one hot horny dude and I really wanna know more! Ok, the fact I'm now infatuated with his son makes that slightly awkward... Whatevs. I need more.
So, as you can see from my short list here, there was A LOT going on in this book. It wasn't just about Drake and Delia, but their story was by far the focal point and it was amazing. The two of them were the perfect match and I just loved how Setta made things work out. There were some touch and go moments that had me biting my nails. Was Delia going to be able to overcome the things that rat bastard did to her? How exactly were they going to be able to mate? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT???
As with all the other books in this series, I was immersed in this book from start to finish and I had to make sure there was nothing else going on around me so I wouldn't be interrupted. I couldn't put it down. Not that I'd want to but still... You get the point.
I say this every time but it is warranted. Setta Jay is one of my very top most favorite authors and I would gladly read anything she publishes. She's one author that I don't mind leaving me with TBC endings. They definitely heighten the anticipation for the next book. She's an auto buy author for me and I can't recommend her series enough! This latest installment was so fabulous and I really can't wait to see where she takes us next. We still have the ongoing plot with Apollo, and I can't wait to find out more!

I'm a huge fan of the Guardians of the Realms series, and have been dying for Drake's story even since smoke swirled from the dragon's mouth in book 1. The author more than delivered! Drake and Delia (Era)'s story is full of action, a god on the loose, love, sex so hot it will melt your ereader, and sexy guardians. The scenes between Drake and Delia are full of emotion and the link that binds them runs deep. Both are powerful, both are possessive, and both will do anything to protect the other.
We also get a secondary love story in guardian Sander and Nastia. And it's awesome.
Every guardian story is a decadent treat. This is one series that should not be missed.

Searing Ecstasy has been the most anticipated novel in the Guardians of the Realms series. It’s full of new and exciting realms, mind-blowing action-paced adventure, sensationally hot and sexy Immortals, and passion that will melt you in its wake.

Each book is more phenomenal and unimaginable then the last. I am in awe with how incredible Searing Ecstasy is. A women on the verge of madness, a dragon who failed the only one that matters, will they survive to find peace and love?
Searing Ecstasy picks up where Binding Ecstasy ended. Drake has found his mate, Delia, but she has been experimented on and now must be locked up for the safety of everyone. I felt for both Delia and Drake. The struggles they go through, the emotional and physical. WOW! It is so intense and sad.
Delia has been through a lot and is still fighting the beasts within herself. The emotional struggle she goes through and the knowledge that she can never have the one who was meant for her, was just so heart-breaking.
Drake struggles with the knowledge that he can’t help his mate, that he failed her when he should have been able to save her, and his dragon is battling him daily to claim his mate. Now he is stuck in limbo and a mating that feels and looks impossible.
There connection is so strong. I was not sure how the author was going to hook these two up, since Delia is housing two beasts, so when something amazing happens to let them finally mate. I was impressed and surprised with the turn of events. It looked so impossible, yet they get help from a very unlikely source.
The plot is amazing and interesting along with the direction that it is going. I am liking the direction. The world building is fantastic. It’s complicated, yet so very clear at the same time. We get a lot of combustable sexy times; between Nastia and Sander who started their mating frenzy in the last book. We see them come to terms with their past and complete the mating. We also get another God, who is set free to help track Apollo who was taken by these unknown warriors. Who are these warriors? Why have they taken the God? What do they want? It’s all a mystery! As for the ending, well, the author is such a tease. I can’t wait for the next installment.
Searing Ecstasy is another phenomenal installment to the series. I highly recommend this series, especially if you enjoy an inferno of passion, Immortals that will melt you, and a world full mind-blowing action-paced adventure. I will note that this series should be read in order, because each novel builds on the character, plot, and world.

Drake and Delia's story, at last!!!
Delia is ready to give up on life after everything that happened to her at the hands of the evil Cyril, she's had her revenge on those who hurt and is just about ready to give up when she and Drake realise they are mates. They spend much of the book apart because mating would almost certainly kill Delia and watching them suffer while apart is excruciating. I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't say how the situation was resolved, just be assured that it was and I was thrilled when they were finally able to be together. We also see Sander and Nastia complete their mating bond and those two are just great together and provided some much needed relief from the tension of Drake and Delia.
After the events in the last book, Drake made the decision to wake Hades to help in the search for Apollo. Now it looks like Hades might be next to meet his match, cannot wait, he's all too arrogant and needs to be brought down a peg or two.

Solid 4 Stars!
Still loving this series. We kind of got a two for one special with this one- Drake and Delia as well as Nastia and Sander. The storyline is still intriguing and still getting better. I can't believe I'm saying this but... I think all the sex is getting in the way of the story. I may feel that way because I've read so many back to back. Now don't get me wrong, the sex is still super hot and the frenzy is a big part of the whole series; so I don't think it will be going away and that's cool with me too. I may skip some of it. Now it's time for Hades!! Happy reading!

Finally, Drake can find some peace and turn his energy to his new mate, Delia, instead of fighting his brothers and blowing smoke out of his nose!
After waiting what seems for forever, the Guardians finally find a way to help Delia with the torture she was enduring, in the ways of God and one of my personal favorites, Hades. Hades is able to release her beasts, freeing her to mate with Drake.
Meanwhile, my favorite female in this series, finally gives into her own needs and mates with Sanders. The funny banters between these two were hilarious and I really enjoyed it alot. Great book.

I was so scared to read this. I wanted it, but at the same time, I didn't want it. I was nervous, I was excited, I was sad, I was happy. I mean, 'cause really, I laid claim to that Dragon a long, long time ago. It was a weird mix of emotions... eh, anyway, enough about that.
Please, please, please, for the love of all things paranormal and sexy, go read the other books in this series. Do not even attempt to read the dragon until you've read the rest. Go. Now. You'll thank me later.
I can pretty much do this is one sentence:

This one was a two-fer. We got a BONUS! Not only do we get Drake and Delia, but we get Sander and Nastia. OhMyGoodness! I will tell you right now, be very careful where you read, it's a bit embarrassing to think you may have to go to the bathroom and umm... sort yourself out when you're at work.
Sander and Nastia are one hot duo and they burn it down. Literally.
Drake and Delia, my heart can't take it. So much emotion with these two and so much frustration. I was ready to just throw them in a room together and to hell with the consequences. And when it finally happened, it was amazing. It was beautiful, and I'm a fan of dragons, so I loved every minute I got with these two.
Aside from amazing couples with off the charts chemistry and hot as hell sexy times, there is the ongoing storyline. Hello, Hades! I've got my eyes on you. Something hinky is going down in the realms, and I'm kind of in awe at where things are headed. I got to the end and I wanted more... who am I kidding, I always want more.
Setta likes to leave you hanging on the edge of your seat, just waiting for the next book. And, she does it every freaking time.
I can't say enough good things about this series. It gets better and better as you go along. Setta sets a precedent with every book she writes in this series. In each subsequent book she ups the ante. I'm not sure where things will go from here. All I know is that they will definitely be awesome and they will definitely be hot and I will definitely be reading them.

I've really enjoyed following this series so was very excited to get this book as you can well imagine. It's been a series that admittedly has had to grow on me as although I love these guardians and the world created around them at first I felt a little nonplussed . However with each book comes more of the story arc and it's grown in strength to the point were I was absolutely desperate to know what happens next. The delicious Drake ( who has always been my favourite) has found his mate but boy is that messed up! Then add in the missing god Apollo and I was so perplexed at his disappearance at the end of the last book, did he go willingly or not? Not to mention the crazy antics of Nastia an immortal assassin and Sander the Phoenix , oh yes this series is quickly becoming addictive.
So in this book we see Drake trying to find a way to save Delia who had reappeared at the end of Binding Ecstasy but her body is so messed up that it might take a god to save her. Now that just happens to be Drakes plan and he wakes up Hades but thats just like opening a whole new can of worms! The gods are in stasis for a very good reason and trusting one of them might be the very worse thing these guardians can do! Yes there is light at the end of the tunnel for this couple but for this reader it was everything around them that felt interesting. I was disappointed with Drakes romance but engrossed in what Hades was up to and then of course there's our favourite Phoenix with his quirky courtship ideas ( new Bugatti anyone?) . I'm still on the fence about the new immortals and have no idea how this arc will pan out. Also I'd almost forgotten about a certain guardian lying unconscious and then bam! The author does something that has left me boggle eyed! There's a twist I never saw coming. If you enjoy sinfully saucy stories then this series is a must read.

I'm still on the fence about the new immortals and have no idea how this arc will pan out. Also I'd almost forgotten about a certain guardian lying unconscious and then bam! The author does something that has left me boggle eyed! There's a twist I never saw coming. If you enjoy sinfully saucy stories then this series is a must read.

Sanders and Nastia are so hot there is literally fire when they are together, fire! I'm talking burnt clothes, burnt beds, burnt walls...
I liked this one a lot because there were 2 couples that were the focus of this story rather than 1 - made for a more compelling read. Of course as with all the others, there is a nice wee cliffhanger to keep you wanting more.

I really like this world, its really hot and steamy. I wasn't a fan of Drake's mate because I thought he would be someone else but the overall book was great. I really want Sirena to get her book, she's the healer they all over work and abuse but yet she doesn't have a mate. I want her to get a strong mate that will stand up for her and make others appreciate what she does for them all.

I absolutely adore this series and they just keep getting better and better. I loved that Drake got his HEA in the end with Delia.....Been waiting since the beginning for his book....worth the wait too....:)
I also am looking forward to Hades story now, as it could be interesting....... And Sirena needs her HEA too.....Lots more wonderful and exciting stories to still come.....

Drake now rivals Conn as my favorite guardian! My top 3 are Conn, Drake, and Jax. Vane and Erik aren't guardian's, but they get honorable mentions for the thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and commitment with which they courted and cared for their mates, for their unwavering loyalty towards, and respect for, their sister, and for them being feminists.

I've been reading this series since Book 1 and I freaking love these books! This is Book 7 and my only real complaint is that at this point, the formula for these stories hasn't changed. Everything happens in the same order...but man, I still love them!
Delia has been through some shit. Like, for real. Tortured and tortured and tortured some more. She's been dead and she's gone crazy. She's more powerful than anyone has seen. She's more powerful than the leader of the Guardians. That's why I liked her so much. She's been through so much but she's still alive. She's still discovering how much power she has and it scares her a little.
Drake is in charge of the Guardians and he's one seriously powerful dude. I liked how he felt like he didn't want a mate, didn't have time for a mate, but then when Delia shows up, she's all he can think about. It's true - I love when powerful men are brought to their knees by an equally powerful woman!
The Sexy Time was pretty hot and plentiful but I expect that from these Setta Jay books. The relationship between Delia and Drake was fairly typical for this series. Nobody wants a mate, they never think it'll happen to them, they fight it as long as they can, and then they give in. No surprises but I still like it.
I can't say for certain that readers can just jump into this series here in Book 7. So freaking much has happened and I don't know if it's totally explained at the start of this book. Plus, Drake is an important character who has a big backstory and Delia has been through the wringer and I feel like it would be a disservice to her character to try and jump in here. I like this series and I enjoy this author so I would recommend this book, but I'd recommend THIS book to readers who have read at least one other book in the series.

So satisfying, I loved it. ❤️
I'm a super fan of Setta's I admit that, but this book was one we'd been waiting for, and delivered on every level.
Drake, the leader of the guardians, the one who has smoke around him when he gets irritated or angry, yes that hot guy - it's his book!
Delia, scrub that Tracey is his fated mate.
Sod it, oh well Delia is his fated mate, she's been through a lot and it's not even confirmed if they will be able to mate...... Angst/frustration, searing passion (unfulfilled), feelings deepening it all going on between this very powerful couple.
While Delia and Drake continue their journey, there's lots more going on, a missing God, another God keeping secrets and the very sexy Phoenix and his fated playing games with each other.
This being an erotic paranormal romance you know they finally get it on, all I can say is its so satisfying as a reader when they do, I had to put my kindle down for ten minutes and just relish the moment that had just passed. ❤️
I just loved their story and of course all our other faves popping in and out of the story made it complete.
I have worries about our dear Sirena, there must be someone out there for her?

Oh my gosh, I just finished Searing Ecstasy and it was amazing! Setta has done it again. This book picks up where the last ended where Drake has located his mate, Delia, but she had been held captive and experimented on by Cyril and so she is locked up for her safety and the safety of everyone in the manor. Drake is torn between the pull to his mate and focusing on finding Apollo. He and Pothos have no option, but to release Hades in hopes that he is able to track Apollo and allow the Guardians to capture him. Of course releasing an arrogant god like Hades has its own risks including that he is more powerful than them and since the Guardians are responsible for putting him and the other Gods to sleep he may not be willing to help them. There are a lot of hot, sexy matings between Nastia and Sander who started the mating frenzy in the last book during the battle where Apollo was takes by the unknown warriors. And the bond between Delia and Drake evolves and we see a completely new side of Drake that never existed while he bore the responsibility of the Guardians and the realms. It was an awesome story that I could not put down and I cannot wait to see what happens with Apollo, Hades, and Sacha next!

Searing Ecstasy is the seventh book in The Guardians of the Realms Series. This series is by far my favorite Paranormal Romance Series. Amazing. I really love this book series, Setta Jay's books are addicting and HOT! There was also a secondary love story in guardian from Sander and Natia. Can't wait to read more... Book 8 Where are you!
