This is the second book I have read by this author, but the first was more of a contempory romance without any real suspense aspects to it. You get a double dose of twists and turns with Maggie’s story, in that the first part of the mystery (for me) was pretty easy to work out.
"Don’t give up on your past."
The reasonings as to why the situation is as it is are less clear to decipher, but as the book progresses the author does a really good job of keeping you on your toes in relation to this in that I didn’t work it out until the big reveal near the end.
"You lost almost nineteen years of your life. Of course it’s going to feel like you’re missing something…"
The bulk of the story takes place seven years on from the fatal car crash that killed Maggie Hellman’s twin sister Maddie and her best friend, left with complete memory loss of her life prior to that, she offers little resistance, when her mother packs them and their belongings up and moves out of town as soon as she is released from the hospital.
This had the potential to get so complicated…
In those years Maggie has finished her education, become a nurse and forged new relationships as well as made new memories, but on a return visit to her hometown with her mother, to visit her sisters grave one birthday a flashback of a memory suddenly opens the floodgates of questions of her life pre-amnesia, and her friendships/and relationships too, especially after on a follow-up visit she meets Nicolas Cortez… her sisters supposed long-term boyfriend, and someone she never knew about.
"You can’t make this shit up."
The rest of the story in particular the second half, becomes a little bit of a cat and mouse game with Maggie trying to chase down her memories by returning to places that were important to her and her sister, and with each new flashback/memory more question marks are raised as to who she was before the accident, and how her relationship with the Cortez brothers figures into her and Maddie’s past.
This is a story that I would put in the roller-coaster category, its more mystery/suspense than real romance, so if you are looking for a sex-fest then probably not the one for you to read at this point. But if you are looking for a skilfully crafted story, with lots of twists and turns to the plot then I would recommend that you give The Girl In The Mirror a go, because it more than met my expectations.
ARC generously provided by the author, in exchange for the above honest review.
This story is about a girl, Maggie. when she opened her eyes, she realizes that she is at a hospital and she doesn’t remember anything at all even her name. her mother explains she was in a car accident and two others died. A few days later when she wants to be discharged, her doctor tells her sister, Maddie, also has been in the accident and she and their best friend have died. And then the doctor explains she and Maddie was an identical twin. Six years later, she still can’t remember anything. When she goes to Maddie’s grave she sees a boy, Nicolas, who says he was Maddie’s boyfriend. When she met Nico she had a flashback. In those years she had a few flashbacks about random things but this one was sooo strong. In those years her mom told her everything but she hasn’t spoken about Nico. She also denied she knew about him. And she realizes this wasn’t the first time she lied. So she does her best to remember everything about every one and everything and why her mother lied.
Okay, the story was good, not perfect, but not bad too. What made my interest in this book fall was that, the story was too predictable albeit for me. I mean after couple of chapters I knew what’s happening or what was the mystery. So it took some of my interest. But all in all, it was a good reading.
I read the book in one sitting. The story and the suspense held me tight. I didn’t get all my answers and some things were a bit odd to me, but I don’t feel competent enough to call it in question.
The book entertained me and I will definitely read the next one.
Safety: I can’t write something without revealing the suspense. But you can PM me :-)
Another great hit for Elizabeth (Eli) Reyes. And it's in a genre I'd never expect her to write in, but I am damn glad she did.
Girl In the Mirror is romantic suspense and is something that Eli has never written before. I am so used to her NA/YA series, so when I heard she was writing something different, I was so excited. And she blew me away. Her writing style has always hooked me. She writes characters that you grow attached to and you become a part of their lives and family.
In this particular book, you watch Maggie struggle to figure out who she is and who she was. You can sense her uneasiness and this feeling of something is missing in her life. As hard as she tries, she just can't figure out how to move forward completely.
Then the triggers start. And then things get even more interesting and telling. I won't give any details away but I can tell you that I had quite a few ideas as to what was going on and one of them I was correct. But I loved that this book had me going in many directions with different reasons behind each one. And I was upset in the least when I started putting things together, it only made me want to read this book even quicker.
Eli wrote a fabulous story and told it beautifully. Everything flowed at a great pace and had me begging to know more after each chapter. I love when a book has me so engrossed that I can't put it down. And Girl In the Mirror does just that.
His entire face smiled. It’s the only way I could explain it. He had one of those smiles where even his eyes seemed to smile…
Even the homeless wouldn’t eat your cooking.
I’m gonna fear waking up and realizing it was just a cruel dream. Already, I’m afraid to fall asleep… I’ll probably lie awake all night just staring at you to make sure you don’t disappear.
My Review:
Girl In The Mirror was a poignant and evocative tale with a gripping and maddeningly paced mystery. What a nightmare to wake in a hospital with no awareness of your own identity and unable to speak to ask those brain burning questions. Elizabeth Reyes is a crafty and sly mistress of mental manipulation; she kept me riveted to my kindle and second-guessing everything. I developed and discarded various wild theories while I read, but could not ascertain the endgame. I became overly suspicious of nearly everyone except for Clarisse; I adored Clarisse as her exchanges generally brought the vast majority of the book's levity. The writing was engrossing, emotive, and cleverly lured me deeper and deeper into this intriguing and infuriatingly well-constructed plot. It was superb! Book hangover #2000.
Maggie wakes up from a coma after being in an horrible car accident. She doesn’t remember anything from the accident or the years before. Many years go by without Maggie remembering anything. She wants to remember, but she also tries to enjoy her live now. She sees it as a second chance and will use that. She has friends and a job that she loves. Maggie’s life will change when she sees someone.
I loved Maggie. I can’t imagine going through something like what happened to her, but she’s handling it like a champion. Every obstacle she faces, makes her stronger and she always reacts calm. She’s strong and caring. She loves her mother and she’s close to her. She’s happy that she has her mother and her mother always helps her.
The focus of the book was on Maggie hoping to remember something and not so much on romance. She will date someone and there are romantic flash backs, so there is romance. I absolutely loved how the book ended and especially the epilogue!
I hope that it will become a series, because I met some interested secondary characters whom I want to know better and already love! Girl in the Mirror was my first book by the author and I definitely want to read another book by her. I found the book to be believable. I loved the writing and the pace. There were many twists and turns. I quickly had an idea about what was going on, but then something happened that made me question my idea. I was constantly wondering what was going on and especially why.
-- My honest review is based on a copy provided by the author. --
Sometimes you come across a book that you're really looking forward to read and thinking it's going to be so good but have to say that I did actually enjoy the mysteriousness of how the book is written, yet it lagged and dragged, but since I read this for seven hours straight, I kind of wanted to savor each word.
Now the only reason why I gave this 3STARS is that for me, the story just dragged on and it felt a little repetitive at times and I was getting annoyed but, when she finally connected with Nico, I thought okay wow they've met, but to me, sorry, but I have to say this, although the character her twin sister, who supposedly died, I just pictured her as Maggie and I just felt that connection was suited than with Madeline. So, yes I'm disappointed that it wasn't who I wanted. Overall though, the spark of the storyline was there and you felt it but from the middle to the Epilogue it kind of took away that goosie feelings, and I couldn't wait to finish the book.
SERIOUSLY. I'm gonna need Elizabeth Reyes to genre hop A LOT NOW. GITM was so well written I honestly couldn't put it down once I got started. I had to keep going to see if my theories were right. just when you think you've figured it out something happens to make you feel like nooo that's not it either. I'm so happy that shes decided to make this a new series because I NEED MORE.
it is going to be a part of series of interconnected characters. 5 star read from one of my auto click authors. so worth it!
FORESEEABLE TWIST, UNFORESEEABLE REASON When you read the plot summary, you think you’re getting into a book that’s going to be changing your mind about how the book is going to end with every page that you turn. I hate to break it to you, but that’s not what you’re getting into here. There’s a good chance that at about halfway through Girl In The Mirror, you’ll be able to tell what’s going to happen in the end. One thing that you won’t be able to see coming, though, is why that twist was even able to manifest itself in the first place.
I do want to clarify that being able to foresee the twist doesn’t make it any less of an enjoyable or pleasantly confusing read. Reyes keeps giving little clues throughout that, combined with the characters’ reactions to them, make for a marvelous little suspense novel. Perhaps a better way to make my point would be to say that there are two twists: the actual twist that I believe Reyes references in the plot summary and the twist of why the twist happened. Despite your ability to figure out the first one and the clues left for you after that, I guarantee you that you won’t be able to figure out the twist’s twist until Reyes literally spells it out for you. That’s for sure a success on the author’s behalf.
A BIT RUSHED IN THE BEGINNING The first couple of chapters take you from the moment Maggie wakes up in the hospital to seven years later, when she starts to unravel the mystery of her identity. It took a few minutes for me to catch on to the fact that we were traveling through time so quickly. I had a few moments of “oh wow, it’s now years later!” that took a second to get used to. Though it had no impact on the novel once we got into the meat of it, it did make for a slightly hesitant beginning.
For example, we sped right over Maggie’s college education and the fact that she was now a nurse. One moment, she was in the hospital, and next she was on her way home from work. For another example, we really saw no development with her relationship with her mother after she accepted that Loretta was, in fact, her mother. Again, this didn’t lessen the impact of the novel at the end of the day, but it did raise some initial questions. Once I got into the rest of Girl In The Mirror, I completely forget about my reservations.
INCREDIBLE TIE-INS TO THE TWIST I can promise you right here and now that once you figure out the second twist, you’ll both slap yourself upside the head a few times and spend multiple minutes going back over the text and picking out the little moments that piece together the mystery so beautifully. All those little details, comments, and facts about Maggie’s past that you don’t think make any difference to the plot besides giving her a bit of knowledge about her life are absolutely critical to making sure the final twist comes together perfectly.
The best part of this is the artistry behind it. At no point in the novel did I stop and wonder why Reyes put that little tidbit in or why one particular comment was important. Everything flowed right under my nose, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. In addition, Reyes covered her bases perfectly. There was no part of the final twist that wasn’t covered or explained by some other little line earlier in the plot. That’s a true feat of an author, especially one delving into the suspense genre.

I’m a big fan of Elizabeth Reyes. I have read every single book that she has published and I loved every single one of my reading escapes. Her words always captivate me and her stories linger with me for a long time. Her characters are unforgettable and so easy to relate to. When she announced that she was going to publish a book that was a bit different from what she usually writes, I was pretty excited. Girl In The Mirror was supposed to be a standalone book, but I am so glad the author took a different direction with this book and is making it a series. GITM can be read as a standalone because the story is complete and the other books will focus on other characters.
Margaret Hellman wakes up with no memories from her past. The only thing she knows is that she was involved in a car accident and that she lost her memory. Years have passed from that night that turned her world upside down. The little glimpses she gets from her past trigger a hurricane of emotions in her. Something is missing in her life and she won’t stop until she finds out what it is. She’s on a mission to discover what happened that night. Is Margaret ready to come face-to-face with her past?
Gah!!! This book made me go bananas!!! I was trying to put together the pieces of an intricate puzzle. I was following Maggie’s journey and I was taking notes of each detail that could help me uncover the mystery revolving around her accident. It’s difficult to review this book without giving spoilers away. What I can tell you is that you will probably have many theories of what happened to Maggie. I kept changing my mind with each new detail that was added to her story. I did figure out what happened to her before it was revealed, but that did not take anything away from my amazing reading journey.
The new characters from this series are incredibly addictive! The hero in this story is swoon worthy and intriguing. The connection he has with Maggie is amazing and the more they shared moments together, the more I was cheering for them to forget about the past and live in the moment. The supporting cast of characters surrounding Maggie and the H are awesome and I can’t wait to read more about them. I’m really excited to see who will be the main character in the next installment.
I give, Girl In The Mirror, 5 intense, emotional, intriguing, follow your heart stars!

3.5 stars
This was a suspense story with a side of romance. It definitely kept me entertained. I thought the plot was a little predictable but it was overall a good read.
The heroine Maggie has a head injury after a car accident and when she wakes up, she now suffers from amnesia. She has no idea who she is and she does not remember the other people in her life. She also does not remember the other people who were in the car accident. The rest of the book is essentially about Maggie trying to put pieces of a puzzle together trying to solve the mystery surrounding the accident. I won't say anymore to avoid giving away any spoilers.
You figure out pretty early on how the story will unfold but it was still enjoyable reading how the story played out and watching how Maggie came to her own realizations. I did wish there was more romance and that we had more development of the love story but we do get a nice epilogue at the end.
The Girl in The Mirror is a fast paced romantic mystery that overall was quite enjoyable.
Can you imagine what it would be like to lose a piece of yourself? What about losing all of the pieces that make up your past? Maggie wakes up from a coma with no idea who she is or who the woman calling herself mom is.
This book is the journey that Maggie must face to find out who she is and where she came from. While I feel that the overall plot was slightly predictable, that did not stop me from wanting to turn the pages and follow Maggie's journey. Who doesn't love a good mystery, sexy tattooed bikers, and love? Elizabeth Reyes did a great job creating a character that people care about and want to know more about.
Overall I would give this book 3.5 stars. It was definitely worth the read and I recommend it. It will be a great beach read this summer! Let me know what you guys thought of the book!
Gripping, thrilling, a total page turner! This story of a girl who wakes up from a horrific accident with absolutely no memories is totally addicting. As the characters are revealed and realities are tested, it becomes clear that this story is a stark reminder that wherever your loyalties lie in your life and relationships can grossly affect who you are. Just imagine if you were a blank slate and some woman says she's your mother. Would you trust her?
This story takes you through a twisty, mind-bend that had me guessing and screaming at my Kindle for days. Elizabeth Reyes really gets you into the mind of the heroine. Her confusion and skepticism is well thought out as new revelations are revealed. It is undeniable though that the heart is just as important as the head. If nothing else, this incredible story teaches you to listen to those deep feelings and embrace them. When your heart is screaming at you to do something, to listen, you owe it to yourself to take that leap and never give up. Keep investigating, keep searching for what your heart wants.
This was a dramatization of the fear many people have. If you lost the one person in your life you are supposed to be with, but suddenly had them back, would you know it? Could you feel it? Would you be brave enough to latch on and never let go again?
This is only the third book by Elizabeth Reyes that I've read, but I'm convinced her unique storytelling ability will stay with me forever. I thoroughly enjoyed this mysterious thriller and highly recommend it.
I knew I'd love this story based on the blurb but it doesn't do it justice. After and accident that stole her memory, twin, and best friend, Maggie has to move through her life trying to put the pieces of her past together when she gets snippets of memories. It takes her years to decide to go back to her home town that her mother has kept her from to search for answers and hope that something will jog her memory so she could remember something. She can feel it in her heart hat there's something or someone missing. Its not until a chance encounter that she realizes there is so much of her past that she doesn't know and no answers to explain it. Her confusion and need to dig deeper turns up answers that she had never expected and now she has to learn to trust herself more than ever. Lies. Betrayal. Truths.
There is so much to be said about starting over. Becoming a clean slate Maggie has to do just that. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to not remember anything of my pst but the author has done a wonderful job and making us feel what the character feels. For every frustration and every question she asks herself we feel it too. The need for answers plagues us to the very end. I hoped for the best. I wished for more information to each memory as they came . And I made assumptions throughout trying to come up with the answers to ever twist that was thrown at me. I never expected the end and yet when I finally reached it, i understood why. I couldn't put the book down. This is definitely a top 10 in my read books. You don't want to miss this amazing read.
This is one of those books that my mind screams at me "read it now!!!" And I am so glad I listened. I have been in this psychological type thriller mood lately and I knew this was going to hit the spot.
I loved Maggie's character. How she works so hard to remember her life, it was her life was totally amazing! That's all I'm saying about her. She had this strength in her that most people in her shoes wouldn't have, and she gained so much respect from me.
The author blew me out of the water with how well she wrote a character that can't remember anything about her self or her past. I felt that it made the story so much better with us learning along with Maggie.
This book is totally a wild ride, like slap in the face, make me question everything type of ride. I had so many theory's that my brain finally shut down and enjoyed the ride.
Overall, I loved it's I can't go into detail because it could ruin the whole book if I give even just a hint away, so my advice; go in blind. That's the only way to enjoy everything this book has to offer. I was thrown for a few loops that I never saw coming so bravo to the author!! 5 stars #2OCCJD
2.5 Stars I really wanted to like this one. The premise and mystery sounded great, and I've liked the books I've read by Reyes previously, so I was onboard for this one. Unfortunately, this just wasn't a hit for me. Here's briefly why: * Very telling, not showing, particularly in the first 20% of the book. * Lots of timeline jumps. We skip days, months, and years quickly. * Lack of emotional attachment to the MC and her story, likely mostly to do with the previous two issues. The storytelling and narrating left me emotionally lukewarm. * Solved the mystery early on, causing the remainder of the story to be very predictable. * Quick wrap-up with the romance, leaving me wishing for more in the end. Yes, the epilogue was lovely, but it still felt like there was something missing in their relationship development in the end.
I applaud the author jumping into the mystery genre. I imagine it is very challenging to write. While this wasn't a hit for me, others have certainly enjoyed it.
This story begins with Maggie in the hospital recovering from a horrible car accident. In the weeks that followed, she learns that two people died in the accident one of which was her twin sister and all of her memories are gone.
After being sent home from the hospital, Maggie and her mom move away and as Maggie struggles to regain her memory she tries to start a new life.
People from her past and new friends all muddle Maggie's mind and the more she remembers, the more confused she becomes.
My review:
I am going to keep this brief as I don't want to give away any of the plot and it will be hard to go into details without giving it away.
I liked Maggie and her struggles are told in a way that make it very realistic. All the other characters who come along were great as well. The first twist I pretty much had figured out by about the half way point and it was the why that kept me intrigued.
When I finally got the why, I got it but the end felt very rushed after everything that led up to it.
My thoughts:
POV Maggie Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter) Character development: 4 Level of Romance between characters: 4 Passion/Heat level: 3 (the sex is mostly through memories and is very minimal) Angst/Heartbreak: 5 (this one will keep your heart in a vice from start to finish. Cliffhanger?: No, wrapped up in the end (although way too quickly in my opinion)
Overall, I really liked it and with this having been my first book by this author, I can't wait to read more!
I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review./
This was the first time I've read a book by Elizabeth Reyes and it was pretty enjoyable read certain parts of this mystery were kind of obvious but, the bigger picture of everything took me by surprise.
Maggie wakes up one day with complete amnesia not even knowing her name. She's informed of events that led to her hospitalization which unfortunately included the deaths of her twin & best friend leaving her the only survivor of the accident. She ends up leaving with her mom but trying to recover her memory after only having flashbacks here and there until one day she bumps in Nicolas at her sisters grave and knows there's something hidden there.
I won't give away any other info cause this story can easily be ruined by any type of clue or spoiler. This was a pretty quick read that I got engulfed in within the first few pages and I kept me engaged throughout the story.
I had read this book was a great mystery/thrill read. I was drawn into the very first part but unfortunately not too far in it was crystal clear what was going on & it was a disappointment to have to read the rest of the book when the mystery is solved. I didn't really connect with the characters either & everything seemed to be wrapped up into a perfect bow with a cherry on top. I purposely stayed away from spoilers but now I wish I had read them & not purchased the book. I think it just wasn't for me, but I have enjoyed many other reads by this author and sure I will continue to in the future.
It has to be said that I adore this Author's writing style. I love even more than she went out of her normal genre to write something completely different and she blew it out of the park!
You will find Girl In the Mirror to be gripping, suspenseful, filled with sad moments that consume and a fast pace setting that leaves you hanging on every word until you get to the end!
If you're looking for a gripping story that will tug on your heart strings, leave you breathless, swoon with kindness, fear, pain and so much more-- this is your book!
Trust me you don't want to miss this incredible story by Elizabeth Reyes!
6 M&M stars!!!

I've been a fan of Elizabeth Reyes' writing since I stumbled across her Moreno Brothers series. I love her independent women, alpha males, and the little twists she adds to her romances. I'm not a big romantic suspense fan because they aren't always as entertaining as I want them to be. I usually avoid them, but I knew if anyone could craft a good one it would be Elizabeth Reyes.
I have to admit I was thrown off a little by the writing style of Girl in the Mirror at first. It didn't really have the same feel to it as Reyes' prior novels. So much of the beginning of this book is told to the reader by Maggie, the first person narrator. There wasn't a whole lot of character interaction. It made more sense to me as the story went on, it just threw me off a bit at first. Maggie's story did pull my in from the beginning, though. I was caught up in the mystery of her situation.
As the book went on, I was enthralled with the story. There was more to Maggie's past than the blurb hints at. I loved trying to figure out what was going on and who was involved. Some of the answers were easier to guess than the others. Plus, as the romance and drama began to appear, that Elizabeth Reyes feel that I was talking about finally makes an appearance.
Another thing that surprised me about The Girl in the Mirror was the way the book wrapped up. I wasn't expecting to move so quickly into where Maggie was now. I would have loved to see the period that wasn't included. I wanted more of the romance of the story!
Girl in the Mirror was a great romantic suspense novel. It had fun twists, amazing characters, and kept me guessing. I'm really hoping some of the characters that were introduced get a book of their own.
I really liked the book. My only issue was that I figured out "the mystery" within the first 3 chapters! So it wasn't too much of a mystery to me. I kept waiting for the book to catch up. I always love Elizabeth's stories though. I was still hooked!
Girl in the Mirror by Elizabeth Reyes Looking Glass Series Book One Imagine wakening up to strange voices, not being able to move, your eyelids too heavy to open, and you can't speak. When your eyes do open, the women crying frantically next to you is supposedly your mother, but you have no recognition of her. So, in your mind you call her Loretta—not Mom.
You are told you've been in an accident. They won't give you any details because with the extreme head trauma you have, they are afraid you won't handle it well. Maybe others were in the car with you and died, but you can't remember one thing about your life...so you feel no sadness. Then the worst day of all comes. You look in the mirror but have no memory of ever seeing your own face before.
That is Maggie's story. She gets little triggers from certain things, but she doesn't know if it was her life or another person’s. She feels like she's searching for something but has no idea what it could be. She tries to start a new life...but the old one...even though she can't remember it, hangs on.
I really enjoyed this story. It's different from Elizabeth's other books and just shows her talent being able to take such a different path in this book. **Sexual content and language http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
Plot: 3/5 Characterisation: 4/5 Prose: 3/5 (1st POV) How much I enjoyed it: 3.5/5 Predictable plot. Apparent quite early on what is going on about Maggie. But the reason was a bit anti-climatic. Still, it was interesting to follow Maggie on her journey to uncover her past.
This book screams one undeniable fact about its Author, Elizabeth Reyes: Don't underestimate her! She has never let me down as a romance reader...not once, but this book...! This book is like nothing I have ever seen her write before.
The suspense, and there is a lot of it, had me on the edge of my seat for the majority of the ride. Just when you think you have all the answers....you might want to think again...I know I kept having to rethink....did I really know everything I thought I knew? Should I really be pissed at this person? Should I really like this one? Should I stop being so suspicious? Just some of the questions that seemed to run through my head every ten minutes during the read.
Along with the suspense, came a love story about a heart that would not be denied. A love that was determined to survive no matter what life might throw at it. But Reyes makes us work extra hard to figure out whose love has been shrouded in the mists of tragedy and why. Just as she makes us keep turning those pages to find out the answer to what might be Maggie's most important question..."Is it possible for my heart to remember even if my brain doesn't?"
Recommendation Status: 5 chocolate candies.....ermmmm I mean Stars. Don't wait....slide this one to the top of your TBR and read ASAP....there's so much I can't tell you about....so much hotness.....so many heart strings pulled.....but I can't tell you too much....I want you to have to work as hard as the rest of us for it.......and the work is oh so worth it ;)

This was a kick up from some of the previous works I have read by this author, I loved the way that she took the characters in a direction that I hadn’t anticipated and gave the story a little more angst than I thought, there was definitely more “what if’s” lurking round in this story, more questions and a whole heap more suspense. There was a lot going on in Maggie’s story and I urge you to allow it to play out without trying to second guess what and why things are the way they are, because all will eventually become clear and I think it is best heard from Maggie’s perspective. There was so much going on that I think I might have lost my mind trying to piece it all together., although I have to say that some of the clues were a little more obvious than others. Maggie’s journey is touching, it is her attempt to piece together not only what and where she came from but who and what is important to her future. What is she missing and why? With a plethora of secondary characters that I am dying to get to know a lot better, I am delighted that this book is the first in a series that will intertwine, Girl in the Mirror is a comfortable standalone read but it is also the book that opens the door to a whole new world from the delicious mind of Ms Reyes.
I love this story! You feel the heroine’s frustration and confusion as she tries to live her life with amnesia and pray the whole time her memory comes back cos you can’t help but love her. As for all the Cortez brothers, *drool*, I loved them all and I’m hopeful each will get their own story… please!!! Though I worked out the main twist very early on I didn’t understand the reason for it for a long time. A great fast moving original story you will not be able to put down until you finish it.
