Dragon Moon is the first episode in the Dragon-born Guardians series.
This is the first novella in what looks set to be a fast-paced and fun fantasy series. I really enjoyed the author's other books (Dark Sea Trilogy), and had high hopes for this story. I wasn't disappointed. The characters came alive and were so engaging that I was sucked into the story and couldn't put it down. I finished the whole thing in one day and was left wishing for more. Lia is an awesome heroine with an unusual heritage that's bound to appeal to fantasy lovers. I love everything about her. I also love Summers, the paranormal detective she meets after her grandmother is abducted by demons. Lia Stone - Demon Hunter has plenty to keep young adult (and young at heart) readers entertained. Prepare for suspense, action, magic, scary monsters, and even a hint of romance. The way Hackney writes is imaginative and concise, bringing everything to life in a seemingly effortless way. But this is exactly the sort of fun and engaging content I've come to expect from the author. I can't wait for the next book!
