Nicki Baldwin’s on the career fast track, until things come to a screeching halt courtesy of the mystery man who bought the property she has slated for a coffee shop out from under her. Steven Smith has met his former lifestyle in Nicki. Can he convince the beautiful hard hat to slow down and taste the pasta?
He’s off the grid. She’s on the fast track. Can they meet in the middle?

Steven has reevaluated what is truly important in life and chosen a low-key lifestyle. Nicki is white-knuckling her way through life trying to establish stability and security. I enjoyed the sweet cat and mouse romance, delicious food, and reminder to slow down and enjoy life. The elderly lady neighbors and historic building added a cozy feel to the story.
Great premise, great characters, great interactions. Needed more depth to their relationship to feel like they got to know each other beyond the surface before the ending.
Delightful, delightful, delightful! Nicki is a woman who is hard wired for success and when focused there is little that can stand in her way. Steve is a man who has seen success and all the work and sacrifice it entails, and he’s cool with leaving the rough stuff behind. He has a new rush that involves in investing in memories and those that surround him. When the two meet there is a clash of epic proportions. Nicki is exasperated by the man who is standing in the way of her singular focus. His very being is a mystery and his actions an anomaly.
Nicki and Steve are a delight. The setting is wonderful. Having lived part of my single life in a third floor attic apartment of an old Victorian, I was happy to be transported back to the style as I read (I’d like to say pages but I read this on my Kindle) this sweet novella. Nicki had her quirky little ways and her stubborn mind set made for a fun read. Steve’s twin neighbors were also a delight. I felt as if I had taken residence in a place that I did not want to leave. Which is exactly why I took so long to read what I could have finished rather quickly. I simply did not want the love story to end.
I did get this free on Amazon but that did not impact my review.
No Time for Love was a quick moving sweet romance, and was an enjoyable read. Nicki Baldwin, a woman moving up in the world of real estate, is poised to cinch the deal of a lifetime and get the recognition she deserves—until a hipster-like tenant, Steven Smith, mysteriously pulls the rug out from under her. Little does she know, the lowly tenant has some business smarts of his own in his past. At the same time, Steven is smitten with Nicki and does whatever he can to be in her life. The story line was great, with interesting twists as Nicki moves through her journey. Both Nicki and Steven are very likeable characters and their interactions are sweet. Both characters seem to be Christians, but other than that, I didn’t see a strong inspirational Christian message. The book is very clean and yet believable. About half or three quarters through the book, I felt like the pace picked up, maybe a little too much, and I wished I knew more about what was going on in Nicki’s heart. That being said, it was a quick read, and I never felt bogged down. Tina Radcliffe has a gift for spinning a story and has a well-defined writer’s voice. I recommend this book and would gladly read more of .
Fun, clean and sweet all in tomato sauce. Steven aka Thomas left his high pressure job behind. With his building in the process of being sold and torn down to make way for a parking lot, things have to change. Enter Nicki in her high stress job. He has some things to teach her. This was a cute little story. Not that I believe much in falling in love at first sight. But it was a fun quick read. No spelling or grammatical errors. I love that.
Tina Redcliffe writes a great story. There is awesome humor and great characters. The situations are both funny and emotional. Steve and Nicki make a great couple as soon as he gets her to slow down enough to realize it. Having the Lord be such a big part of the story is great and shows that people from every walk of life needs God in their lives. I would recommend this story to any reader who enjoys great romances from a Christian perspective.
I enjoyed this novella about Steve and Nicki! Nicki lives for her work and nothing else. When she tries to do a real estate deal for her boss, there is a complication and “Steve” is in the way. She doesn’t like his attitude and can’t figure out his angle. I loved the twin old ladies who lived in the building with Steve! Everyone tries to teach Nicki how to live a more balanced life and that was what I liked best about the book!
I really enjoyed the story of Nicki Baldwin and Steven Smith. It was just the right blend of tasty Italian food and a handsome stranger who turns Nicki's life upside down. This is a clean Christian romance and one that was a lot of fun to read. It would recommend this to readers of all ages, young or mature. A bonus is that there is a tasty recipe at the end of the story for you to make for dinner this evening after you finish reading.
How sad is it that I could smell the Italian foods? To me, that's a good author, descriptive enough to put me right there in the story! And what a sweet one it is. Darling characters and hilarious secondary characters. Though I would have loved for the book to be drawn out and made longer, it was a good read. I highly recommend.
An amazing book by Tina Radcliffe. Nicki is on the fast track, go, go, go all the time. Steven is just learning to slow down. A wonderful book about learning what is important in life and learning to slow down and enjoy the pasta.
Take 1 cooking Italian and 1 overworked assistant, add 2 cups sass, 1 cup humor then sprinkle liberally with swoon-worthy eye contact and you have a wonderful HEA.
This was a nice, but short, romantic read. I enjoyed all of the characters and the conflict. The spark between Nicki and Steven was great, but their romance didn't have time to develop properly.
This was a short, pleasant and fun read. The romance between Steven and Nicki was sweet. I wish the book was a little longer. Like Nicki, I wanted to know more about Steven's previous life. I enjoyed the conversations when they were together. Steven was a little bossy at times. He cared though and he could definitely cook. It was a sweet romance.
This was a really great story. I had some times where I wasn't going to finish it but I just had to see what was going to happen next. A great read for a slow afternoon☺
What a fun story of opposing goals...opposites do attract! The characters in this novella are full of life...such as the elderly twin sisters living in the old Victorian house....a house which is a contention point for the hero and heroine. Mysterious Steve is a great hero, helpful to his neighbors and endearing as he cooks each recipe from his mother's cookbook...in exact order. Nicki is a work-driven woman who is striving to do well in her career and put past issues behind. Settle in with a cappuccino and an eclair as this couple finds romance amid interesting challenges. (Plus there is an Italian recipe at the end.) Another sweet story filled with humor and touched with inspiration by Tina Radcliffe! A favorite quote: God put him in Denver, and in this particular house, for a good reason. It was the Big Guy's job to figure out a solution.
A fun quirky romance between two imperfect characters who are perfectly likable, sympathetic and earthy. As usual, Tina's mouthwatering descriptions of each Italian dish the hero cooked had me running out to buy ingredients to make my own Nonna's sauce. Her sense of humor and unique character interactions kept me turning pages well into the night and thinking about the story long after the read.
Oh my this book was spark all over!!. Wonderful story, when i start it i was like please let the book end well. Pleaseeeeeee.. And i'm so glad i wasn't desapointed it.. I recomend it! :)
Besides, she didn't read romance novels. They were unrealistic... The only endings she believed in came from signing on the dotted line and depositing a commission check in her bank account.
Nicki's career (and her life, she asserts) depends on landing a piece of property for a coffee shop parking lot. But a handsome and annoying man--Steven, is it?--who knows his way around his kitchen is bent on standing in Nikki's way in No Time For Love by author Tina Radcliffe.
This story opens with an engaging sense of mystery. Not the darker kind of mystery, like a suspense novel or something, but the kind of setup that makes you pleasantly curious to figure out what exactly is going on. Both Steve's and Nicki's points of view kept me entertained, especially Nicki's dry outlook at her humorous mishaps.
I eventually felt like I'd missed something rather big, though. As the story glides from a certain point to another, it seems as though a connecting chunk of development is left out of the romance. Hence, it's like the finale that shows up belongs to a different story. It doesn't feel altogether "earned" here.
Nevertheless, this quick and sweet stop was a nice break to take, and other readers of ChristFic romance should enjoy it.
