Started well, then headed downhill faster than an Olympic skier
Book 1 I quite liked, book 2, I struggled with. Book 3, I abandoned after 10 minutes. All the originality and the annoying bodice ripper female hooks don't do it for me. A book for women who may like a deteriorating plot and originality line
I don’t know who in the world proofread this book, but they either need to further their education by a lot, not proofread while they sleep, or find a different job. I loved the story, but the book was very hard to read due to the proofreading.
Avery is an okay heroine. She seems to flip flop a lot. She doesn't want to kill anyone! But, oh...maybe this guy is okay to kill. But not this person because it's so wrong! Even though he's pretty well dead already and is suffering. But this dude? Oh, she's going to enjoy killing him! The gorilla thing was weird & came out of nowhere. It felt kind of like a page filler/time killer. And the end? She can't control the zombies until the very end? That's just weak especially when it's what ends everything. It's like the author wrote herself into a corner & couldn't figure out how to get out & didn't want to rewrite anything.
