This is a cliffhanger, so I’m anxiously waiting for the next book in the series. It’s not a bad cliffhanger (like some authors like to do), but you know there is more to come. Sadie Haller is fantastic at developing the story and the characters without having to spell everything out. You can easily watch the way they dance around the edges of love, fighting it every step of the way. The dynamics of the group are strong and varied. I look forward to seeing what happens next!

Tainted series
Very good series. I am anxiously awaiting the Tainted Secrets book. These are the first books I have read by Sadie Ballet and they won't be the last.

I give this a 4.5 rating. I like Sadie Haller's books so this was an automatic buy. I didn't realize there was a prequel so read that when I was at chapter 9 of this book and was glad I did as it helps fill in some background. I would have given this five stars but I am not terribly fond of the h's stage name, either, but don't think that makes it a one star book. The other thing I was disappointed with was it turned out to be a cliffy and the next book isn't coming until next year sometime. However, that being said, I liked the players and their interactions and, as always, it was very hot. There are some wrap-ups and some loose ends to be taken care of in the next books.

I absolutely love this. The way the lead singer of Tainted Pearl (her stage name is not Amazon appropriate but she owns it) is quite the character. Not at all what you would expect. Brody is a bodyguard who got more than he signed on for when he agreed to keep the star from being harmed by her stalker. She is all attitude all the time and she loves shocking people with her crass behaviour. And following Brody's rules, no way. But he sees through her act and she knows it.
Very hot, very well written. I highly recommend this novel.
