This is a case of two strong desires...Those of our Author's and those of our characters...and in many ways, I think they mirror each other. I have read few books by Melissa Foster before and most were relationship, community and love based. I found she wrote from her heart and crafted her stories so the reader would be involved with all the characters, rooting for them and their HEA.

Ms. Foster also has other series which are more intense... hotter and this new series is cut from that cloth. There are references, links to past characters and their stories, so if you are a reader of Foster... you will be quite pleased to have them appear and be part of the atmosphere.

Our main gal, Amanda, has an epiphany; she is tired of being the conservative, boring one...her sister found her guy... had always been the "Free Spirit" and now it is time for her to take a page from her sister's playbook...Well, if not advise from her sister, then she has the guide, "The Handbook: The Art of Seduction"....

Amanda is sick of boring men who offer boring sex. What she really wants, she can't have...her boss. She is a talented paralegal for an amazing attorney who has hard and fast rules of Never crossing the lines with clients or employees. He has the famous, the rich and any other category of women trying to lure him away from his ethics. It is one of the things Amanda admires about him.

So since she knows she will never have the one man she would do anything for... she clings to this Handbook and decides to throw caution to the wind. She will take charge of her own sexuality... find her own way and have meaningless sex with a stranger... seduce him and be fearless...

Amanda has found just the right forum for her to try this, a Masquerade Bar Crawl.

This is perfect.
She will wear a blond wig, her mask and sexy clothes...she will do all the steps the Handbook has taught her. Nothing will go wrong...she will be courageous, she will own her sexuality...
Then why is she scared shitless....

Mick is on this Masquerade Bar Crawl too, but for totally different reasons. He has no trouble with claiming a partner, satisfying her and then saying goodbye. His reason for this evening is to take his mind off the terrible pain of remembering this date... and the past it brings. This time of year is difficult for him, for the loss, the guilt and he needs a diversion to take him out of his head.

As he looks around the bar, he sees a beautiful blond perched on a stool in an alluring outfit...yet there is an oxymoron going on with her.... she is dressed to attract and does...yet she tugs down the hem of the short skirt revealing legs that go on for days. Her curves are there front and center, yet she tries to adjust herself to seem more comfortable. He is aware she has given him a gaze... held it for a few seconds and then turned away....There ... she has done it again...He is curious as to what game she is playing and continues to watch.

Amanda has had a bit of liquid courage on this crawl and feels a bit more in control...doing self talk and remembering all the steps in seduction her book taught her. She practiced the "look" and tried to hold it for the required amount of seconds...but that man she was gazing at was too much for her...she felt his eyes from across the room and had to turn away. He is just what the doctor order for her... and she is going to figure out this game if it kills her.

As she is trying to come up with a way to attract her hot guy from across the bar, Mr. Loser plunks himself down on the stool next to her. She sits and listens to all the lame pick up comments and give little responses to practice but has no interest. When he starts to get a little too aggressive, Amanda is about to set him straight, Only Mick beats hr to it by coming over and pretending to be her husband who had just stepped away. Grumbling, the loser leaves. Amanda flushed and a bit flustered tells this masked man, she would have handled it just fine.

MIck is intrigued by this woman...she is built for sex, eyeing him for sex... yet there is this innocence and something else he can't put his finger on. Amanda is so sure this is the right man to have her night of sex with a stranger...she tries all the flirt tricks she read about... and shock of shocks, he is responding...

This two are on fire...Mick is not sure if she is a vixen or innocent... she sends both signals and it is intoxicating. He leads her to the men's room and they start to get extremely hot and heavy... so hot he gives her a screaming O....and as things start to progress to the "Main Event", Amanda is ready willing and able...things screech to a halt....

WTF?????? WHY IS HE STOPPING????

Well, it seems our attorney, Mick, has had a thing for Amanda since she first interviewed for him; he has noticed every, little thing about this girl... and when he recognizes something unique to only Amanda...He knows this cannot happen, especially here...But how does he pull away from the one woman he has wanted for so long...with her wanting this moment too...

What to do...Mick figures a way to convince Amanda it isn't her fault they stopped... because that was where her mind went immediately....no, Mick doesn't want her to think that....He offers to meet her the next night so that their "time" together will be so much better than here in a bar. Amanda agrees and Mick protectively puts her in a cab to make sure she goes home alone.

This is the premise; a woman who is taking charge of her sexuality and has been in love with her boss for years and the boss who has fought his feelings for her since he hired her. She is a romantic and believes in HEA and everything that goes with it. He is man tortured by the way his father is...how he treated his mother and the loss of a sister. He is convinced he is not relationship material. He experienced such pain and guilt with the loss of his sister that he never wants to leave himself open to that type of pain.

This story has a duality. Those first chapters were so hot, steam came off my kindle. The initial idea of him teaching her the ways of seduction etc. were terrific... the first times they were together were perfect for this type series which was a bit more edgy than sweet. All the bases were hit and it worked. It then turned more into this continual undercurrent of fighting emotions, back and forth of how he couldn't be what she wanted and her wanting what he told her he could never be.

This part had meaning and I understood all the points taken...it just seemed to me like the book segued into another, softer type of book. It was understandable but all the sexy dirty talk disappeared...which was part of the spark of this story.

Mick also did what doesn't work for me... the constant use of baby when they were sexual... I am talking All the Time...Again, a me thing

Overall, though, this will be a winner for those who read all of the Melissa Foster series. It had heart, steam, engaging characters and the groundwork for Mick's other brothers to have their stories told, too. With Melissa Foster at the helm, I know this series will be a winner for her fans.

This is the story of Mick and Amanda who are secretly in love with each other for three years without any action!

I totally loved this book! It moved fast and to the point! There was not a word unnecessary or an event unneeded! Although the book is written in 3rd person, the writing was really good! Ms. Foster succeeded to write a beautiful erotic romance without loosing the point of the story and I'm really happy for it!

Amanda thinks that she is boring and common but she is actually amazing! I love the way she chooses to take over her sex-life and tries to do something about it! She is the type of woman that I really admire! Trying to put herself out there and still staying focus in her job.

Mick is an amazing guy! I love him! He is strong, protective, honest and hot! There is nothing wrong with this guy! I mean, he has demons like everyone else but he still tries to face them! I totally enjoyed reading about him!

Their chemistry was mind-blowing for me! I mean, I've read lots of books but this sexual connection was beyond hot! The most beautiful part was that although the connection among the heroes started as sexual, it became something deeper, something so much more beautiful! And Ms. Foster presented in the most amazing way! This is exactly why I loved this book so much!

The end of the book was great! I've laughed and I've enjoyed it! There were a few clues for the upcoming books of the series and I actually cannot wait to read the next one about Dylan!

I definitely recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good erotic romance!

Spicy!

I've been a fan of Melissa Foster's books for a while now and I'm always amazed by the way she can give us a read that pulls me in from the very beginning and has me happy with the ending but yet craving more at the same time.

Let me explain a little bit more on what I mean, in this story we have Mick and Amanda whom work together (actually Mick is Amanda's boss) and have been attracted to one another since she started with the company three years earlier but neither of them acted on it. That is until Amanda purchases a book on how to Seduce a Man and starts flirting with her boss to test the waters out then she decides that the perfect place for her to really test her skills is a masquerade bar crawl. Their eyes meet across a crowded room and there is an instant spark but as the night goes on and he doesn't make his move she flirts with someone else...now mind you that neither one know who the other is, and that just snaps him and he's at her side in a blink of an eye. The HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN someone let the dirty talker in Melissa's muse out because WOW. This series is going to be one of the spicier of Melissa Foster's and I for one am along for the ride.

When I saw that Melissa Foster was going to write sexier novels, I got excited! More explicit sex scenes and dirty talk? YES, PLEASE! With the first book in the Bad Boys After Dark series, Foster goes with the boss and the employee trope. Our heroine, Amanda Jenner, is tired of attracting boring men. She is finally ready to take more risks and date other people. But that means putting on a mask and going out to seduce a stranger. For her first time, I’d say Amanda gets lucky because she gets a hook on Mick, an entertainment attorney and her boss. Things get hot and heavy instantly but before they can go all the way, Mick suddenly realizes that it’s Amanda. He pulls back, not wanting to make a mistake but his lust continues to ride him hard.

When Foster says it’s going to be hotter than her other books, she means it. There’s a little less happening in terms of conflict like her other books because so much of the book revolves around Amanda and her desire to become more sexual. So I’d say this book is a little more simpler but it is still entertaining. With as many books as Foster had managed to write, you’d think there’d be some overlap, but each book seems to be completely unique and something new for her readers, and I’m really impressed by that. It’s hard not to fall into a rut and write the same characters or stories over again, but Foster manages it well.

I’m definitely looking forward to reading about the other bad boys! There’s no doubt that Foster writes some amazing heroes and you’ll definitely fall in love with at least one of them!

Amanda Jenner has been a paralegal working for her incredibly sexy and completely unattainable boss, Mick Bad, for the last three years. She has convinced herself that she's a "Boring Man Magnet" and has grabbed a guidebook to help her unleash her inner temptress. At a masquerade bar crawl she's determined to snag a man for one night of steamy, toe-curling pleasure. Amanda instead lands her dream guy, but little did she know just how dreamy he really is.

Mick was very conflicted about being in a relationship with Amanda and came across as wishy-washy and that dimmed his sexiness for me. Amanda did a good job managing his hot and cold behavior but I was happy when she stood up to Mick.

This is my first Melissa Foster book. Even though the author puts a note at the beginning of the book saying there are other characters to discover prior to this story, I took her at her word that this could be read as a stand-alone novel. As I read this story, however, I felt like I was coming late to a party that had already started without me. It just seemed like so much of the relationship between these two characters had already been established and they just had one final hurdle to get over to get to their HEA. It was a bit of a distraction for me but I did enjoy this story. For those of you who have already read some of the other series, I'm sure you will get a kick out of seeing how other main characters are faring. I am intrigued to read more of Melissa's back catalogue before the next installment of this series, Dylan, releases.

Let me start by saying that I love these two together. It was a really good book. It is part of a few series, however you can start with this one. You have interchanging characters from her other book series here as well.

Amanda needs a change and she wants to channel her inner vixen. Buy day Amanda is a paralegal and acts and dresses in a professional manner. She wants to be a bad girl and seduce a man that she has never met to give her confidence. Amanda has been pining after her boss for two years. After a conversation and reading a book a book, she decides to do a masquerade bar crawl. Anonymous, no strings, no one would know her. Easy until it isn’t.

Mick has also pined after the beauty for two years. He is an alpha male through and through. He imagines her when he shouldn’t be. He doesn't want a relationship either. His parents split and he doesn’t want to turn out like his father. He has been told he is just like him. He comes with three alpha brothers and you get to meet them in this book as well.

Mick decides to give it a go for just one weekend and then everything goes back to normal on Monday. He has wanted her and he isn’t’ stopping now. Amanda wants him as well and is worried about Monday when the weekend is over, and has to face him at work what will happen. She is worried she may get fired,worried about how she will be seen. Read and find out what happens with Mick and Amanda.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I will most definitely be reading it.

Amanda is over dating losers and now she’s ready to meet the man of her dreams. She’s ready to catch that man at a masquerade bar. Mick has two rules he follows daily. He never mixes business with pleasure and he doesn’t do relationships. Which is why he hangs out at the masquerade bar! Amanda meets the man of her dreams and hits it off with him right away, after a night of hot passion, she realizes she just hooked up with her boss. Mick realizes he’s just broken his rules and now that he’s gotten one taste of Amanda he wants more.

This book is packed with heat and it’s sexy!! I love Melissa Foster’s books, but I think this one is one of my absolute favorites to date!!! Great job!!! I need a Mick in my life!

I have read quite a number of books by Melissa Foster and have enjoyed her sweet and sensuous romances, but this is my first book in her new After Dark series and I have to say the button was turned up all the way from steamy to sizzling hot! This is one steaming hot read and Amanda and Mick had off the charts chemistry, enhanced by their secrets feelings for each other and in spite of how hot this story was, it still retains the sweetness and sensuality that readers have come to expect from Ms. Foster.

Amanda Jenner is looking to unleash her inner vixen and take control of her love life, and after much research on the subject she settles on a masquerade party as the perfect place to try out her newly acquired skills. Only the masked man she sets her sights on turns out to be her boss and after some persuasion, she agrees to a weekend of decadent pleasure. But what will happen come Monday morning? And will she be able to hide her love for him as she's done for the last three years?

Mick Bad avoids relationships, with good reason and never mixes business with pleasure in spite of the many options available to him in his line of work, which makes one time hookups his preferred option, but when his hookup is his paralegal whom he's been lusting after for as long as she been working for him, all bets are off.

I really enjoyed Amanda and Mick. Amanda is the very definition of innocent temptress and Mick is one sexy man. I love that even though the story itself is fast, their romance had been building for several years and they couldn't hide how they felt about each other even when Mick was supposed to be teaching her the art of seduction.

If you love a sexy romance, then this book should make your reading list this summer, but make sure to keep cool while reading it because it's sure to raise your temperature. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and will be catching up the Wild Boys series in the meantime.

I truly feel like I've been living under a rock as this was the first book I've read by this amazing author! Holy hell, have I been missing out! Amanda Jenner has had secret feelings for her boss for years, but he refuses to mix business with pleasure, and definitely doesn't do relationships. She's done being a boring man magnet, so she's going to take control of her love life. Her wild side coming out party is going to be at a masquerade bar crawl, and she's determined to find her first hook up. Mick Bad, an entertainment attorney, won't dip his wick in the company ink, and will never have a relationship. He goes to a masked bar crawl to find his next meaningless hook up, and when he finds the one, it doesn't take him long to figure out he's crossed the line with his paralegal, Amanda. But the small taste has him needing more, so he offers to give her a lesson in seduction with no strings or regrets come Monday. The problem is that they have a powerful connection, so when the sexy weekend is over, will they be able to go back to normal?

I do believe the words HOT and SEXY will come out more than once! The character development is fantastic, with a super sexy, hot, and well written storyline that flows effortlessly. Melissa Foster has a talented writing style that left me emotional, hot flash sweaty, and wanting so much more. The flammable chemistry doesn't take long to EXPLODE into fiery flames of sexy scene goodness that will leave no pair of panties standing, plus I swear my kindle was hot to touch when I finished. But the most amazing part was the fact that although HOT and SEXY played a major part, the emotions that I felt flying out of my kindle had me all kinds of girly girl dramatic. I'm super excited to read more by this author in the very near future, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this HOT and SEXY story!

Another new series by Foster and oh wow is she knocking them out! I have read a few a Fosters lighter contemporary romance novels but I have to say I'm really liking her dirtier ones better. After reading the Wild Boys After Dark series I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Bad Boys and the wait was worth it!

When Mick was first introduced I knew I was going to like him right away and his book did not disappoint. Foster did the whole masquerade theme where Mick meets a woman he wants to have a little fun with only to find out its his very sexy but hands off assistant. Oops. But now that Amanda is breaking out of her shell Mick is not letting anyone else her with that because he's the right man for the job.

I really enjoyed these two as the hero and heroine, they had great chemistry and they were so realistic. Amanda was written as the shy type who wants to let out her inner vixen which I loved. I enjoyed watching her go through the changes even though she didn't have to because Mick found her enticing before.

While this story is on the short side I didn't feel cheated out of what was happening. Would I have liked it longer? Absolutely, but it just worked for me. I also enjoyed how the steamy parts didn't take away from the romance that was building between them. Did these characters want different things at first? Yes, but in the end they both got what they wanted and deserved.

Melissa wrapped up the story well with a little clue to whose next and how they meet. I am already getting ready for Dylan's story and I hope it's just as hot at Mick's.

But coming across Amanda ignites all his buried desires. Mr. Bad is in a really tough place. Does he cross the line with his employee? Can he have Amanda and walk away?

This was an enjoyable romantic tale with just enough kink that keeps the reader's eyes glued to the pages. Though the main characters have an established relationship (co-workers and connection through previous characters) there’s still enough room left to watch these characters navigate towards their HEA. Would have been good to have these characters start without any prior knowledge of one another but this doesn't hinder this from being a good read. Appearances from the other Bad boys give readers a glimpse of the male leads for future installments for this series. Overall rating 3.5.

Mick realizes it's Amanda and stops her from being a one night stand. They met up again and decide to have a no strings attached weekend. Where they will move on come Monday. Little does either of them know there will be no moving on.

I loved the fast pace of this story. There isn't any reason for this couple to drag their love story out because they have been each other desire for the past 3 years. This story was a great start to a wonderful new series. I can't wait to read all about the 3 other Bad brothers.

Ultimate Pleasure, that's how I would describe this book. Oh my!! Be prepared to have your breath taken away (as long as your 18+).

Amanda has revised her seduction bible ''Release Your Hidden Temptress Handbook' so much that she has now gone from theory to red hot practice at a masquerade bar crawl with the aim to attract exciting men into her life, one night at a time. And so the temptress game begins, she soon singles out Mr Hot, who by the way has had plenty of pleasurable experience, and they take their love dance elsewhere until he suddenly stops and arranges a meet up the next day but why? She soon finds out that her delicious Mr Hot is her boss Mick, both have had serious hots for each other for so long without the other knowing. Now the truth is out Mick offers to give her the hard pleasure she craves while keeping her safe so no harm comes to her, with a 'no strings attached' for 'one night only' offer then back to the office Monday. Seems a fair offer ;-)

Let's just say that those amazing chapters were quickly read, making my heart pump that bit faster, I couldn't wait to get back to my, I mean Amanda's sexy training! BUT to tease us even more the 'one night only' turns into a whole weekend as Mick offers to also show her the real ways to seduce a man while staying out of danger, for the girl he cares so much about. More sensational hot reading to be had!

There's two sides to this instant hot blooded man, he is smooth, caring, gentle and affectionate yet can melt a women's heart in an instant as the words slide off his delicious tongue and let's not even get to the spine tingling bits. I was totally in awe and in parts I totally forgot I was actually reading. With a lifetime of hurt and sadness, no longer believing in love, switching back to reality on Monday is no problem for Mick, is it? And what about Amanda, when Monday comes can she really go back to her dull, loveless life after such a fantasy?

This has been an unmissable serving of strong tasting Love Pie and I am now holding my breath for the next one. I've got to say that Melissa writing the 'Release Your Hidden Temptress Handbook' would be an absolutely amazing addition and so much fun!

When I saw that Melissa Foster was going to write sexier novels, I got excited! More explicit sex scenes and dirty talk? YES, PLEASE! With the first book in the Bad Boys After Dark series, Foster goes with the boss and the employee trope. Our heroine, Amanda Jenner, is tired of attracting boring men. She is finally ready to take more risks and date other people. But that means putting on a mask and going out to seduce a stranger. For her first time, I’d say Amanda gets lucky because she gets a hook on Mick, an entertainment attorney and her boss. Things get hot and heavy instantly but before they can go all the way, Mick suddenly realizes that it’s Amanda. He pulls back, not wanting to make a mistake but his lust continues to ride him hard.

When Foster says it’s going to be hotter than her other books, she means it. There’s a little less happening in terms of conflict like her other books because so much of the book revolves around Amanda and her desire to become more sexual. So I’d say this book is a little more simpler but it is still entertaining. With as many books as Foster had managed to write, you’d think there’d be some overlap, but each book seems to be completely unique and something new for her readers, and I’m really impressed by that. It’s hard not to fall into a rut and write the same characters or stories over again, but Foster manages it well.

I’m definitely looking forward to reading about the other bad boys! There’s no doubt that Foster writes some amazing heroes and you’ll definitely fall in love with at least one of them!

I completely enjoyed the dynamics of this story.
Amanda has decided she isn’t going to be the Good Girl anymore she wants to be a vixen that men are lusting for. Since she is a book smart Paralegal and has researched how to seduce a man she heads out to a Masquerade bar crawl…..Oh and this adventure begins.
Mick Bad Entertainment Attorney also, Amanda’s hot alpha bossman. Who doesn’t do relationships and he likes to keep his pleasure activities on the down low… This makes the story so very interesting.
This book had me from the very first page, and I couldn’t wait to see what would transpire between these two. Their chemistry is off the charts HOT….Mick who has silently been attracted to his employee Amanda, and Amanda has been doing the same. What happens when these two finally get their attraction out on the open and a weekend to remember? Well, I will not give any spoilers what so ever! This book deserves to be consumed by the reader. I highly recommend it, and I look forward to reading the rest in this series as there are some brothers I need to catch up on.

Ahhhhh, the forbidden boss trope :) it has been done countless times and it will continue to be done for countless more times. So in order for the story not to be an eye-rolling experience for someone like myself who reads so much, something has to pop. the story has to wow. and of course, Melissa Foster delivered! BAM

The story of Amanda and Nick wasn’t just HOT, it was sexy and sensual laced with sweetness. And THAT’S what made the story stand out and pop! I’ve read quite a few books by Melissa and she has always delivered a sweet romance with excellent chemistry but THIS journey had kinky hot intertwined in it and I loved every word!

Amanda wants to come out of her sexual shell and what a better way to do it than a Masquerade Ball! Nick is looking for a quick dirty hook-up with no attachments …. Seems like a perfect match, right? HA! These two have been dancing around each other for years and have serious crushes on one another .. let the games begin! Lol :)

I loved everything about this story. From its sweetness to its hotness. It didn’t drag, it got straight to the point. Characterization was followed thru the entire plot and secondary characters enhanced the story. Nothing more you could ask for if you ask me!

This is probably a three 1/2 star review. Overall story, Amanda has decided she is a boring guy magnet and instead of just pining away for what she really wants she decides to changing things up and uses a book on seduction to do it. This leads her to a masked bar crawl in which she is wearing a wig to help give her new seductive “persona” confidence and hoping to have a one night stand. Things seem to be working out ok as she finds herself being pleasured in the men’s bathroom, when suddenly her masked man stops and says let’s do this right and meet tomorrow at this time and location. What Amanda doesn’t know is that her masked lover recognized her from these three small freckles on her hand and is trying to figure out what she is playing at…because Amanda his straight-laced and efficient paralegal isn’t the type to pick up a stranger at a bar. It turns out of all the guts she could have targeted she targeted her boss, Mick, who she has had a secret crush on for three years.

The next day when they meet again at the chosen locale Mick makes Amanda explain what she was doing…and since he’s not a boyfriend or forever guy, he agrees for one night to teach her everything he knows about seduction and then they will never speak about it again and both go their separate ways at the end of the night…that turns in to a weekend away.

This had some funny moments and tried to have a plausible story as to why Mick didn’t want to have a relationship, which was a little week, it was obvious to the reader and apparently his family that he has been in love with Amanda for years.

My favorite parts were the references to classic romance stories…that was fun.

Decent romance.

Note:This was billed as a dark romance, but essentially there was nothing dark about it. You could say a one night stand is a little dark, but if I understand this younger generation that is kind of normal now days.

It's been a while since I've read any books by Melissa Foster that when I read the synopsis of this book, I knew I had to read it right away. In her latest novel, Foster delivers a story filled with swoon worthy moments as well as characters that will leave you wanting for more.

The story starts off with Amanda Jenner, a successful paralegal that hasn't had any luck attracting the right type of guys. She doesn't know how to seduce the right men, and that ultimately leads her to researching her way to seduction by reading a book her best friend gave her. One night Amanda decided to take her research into practice and gave herself a new look, one that no one would recognize her. Yet, when she goes out for the night at a masquerade event, she ends up meeting a sexy stranger who makes her feeling wanted and that is when she decides to practice what she had learned from the book. But soon things start to get steamy, and when they decide to meet again the next day without knowing each other's names, Amanda meets the stranger only find out that it's her boss, Mick Bad who she had kissed the previous night. Not wanting to risk her job, she is determined to keep herself away from her boss, and forget the night that they both had, but he makes her an offer that she can't ignore. Now Amanda has to decide whether spending the weekend with Mick, while learning the act of seduction is the right thing to do or if she is going to be at risk of losing her job and her heart.

Entertainment attorney Mick Bad has it all, he has money and plenty of women at his disposal. Yet having everything doesn't mean that he wants a long term relationship with anyone, and to his benefit the masquerade bar crawl is the perfect place for him to be with any women of his choosing without having to get attacked to someone. Though he never expected to find his paralegal at the bar while wearing a wig and a sexy little number that could leave any men wanting for more. Now Nick can't get enough of her, and will give her lessons in seduction, no string attacked. But when the weekend is over, they will go back to their normal routine and never speak of their weekend together again. Needless to say, Nick was surprised to find himself getting more attacked to Amanda that he had originally imagined. Now it's time for the both to decide whether a relationship together is worth fighting for or not.

I really enjoyed reading Mick and Amanda's story, the characters have personalities that are hard to ignore. While Amanda might be a bit shy and apprehensive, Mick knows what he wants and gets it no matter the cost. It's evident from the very beginning that both of the characters have a thing for one another, but neither of them is willing to admit it first. When Mick offers to give Amanda lessons in seduction the story takes a whole new turn and we are left with swoon worthy moments that had me reading non-stop. Although the characters' biggest issue was trying to hide their growing feelings for each other, there were also other aspects of the characters that we get to learned in the story, a more personal side or background story of the characters that helped the book a lot. The pace of the story is steady, but there were a couple of times that I wished the author would elaborate on a scene, but other than that I liked the story. If you're looking for a story filled with romantic scenes and humor than I would highly recommend reading this book. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series for sure. :)

So this happened again. By reading one new book, I have discovered I need to obviously read all the rest of the books in the Bad Boys After Dark series, but now I have to read the Wild Boys After Dark series because I think I might love them too.

So let's start with Mick Bad shall we? Brilliant lawyer, strikingly gorgeous, over six feet of yumminess and convinced because of a terrible tragedy from his past there's no such thing as happily ever after.

Then there's Amanda Jenner, Mick's equally brilliant and beautiful paralegal. Buttoned up and perfectly polished, she's looking to unleash her inner bad girl with the help of a book. That being said Amanda does believe in happily ever after and just to make things interesting, she'd like that happily ever after to be with Mick Bad, her boss.

Here's where the fun really begins. A bar crawl. Yep, you heard me, a masquerade bar crawl. Amanda goes dressed up and sexified to practice the seduction skills the rule book has taught her and Mick is there because well our lawyer hottie just needs a little release. Until he spots Amanda talking to another guy (no he doesn't know it's her) but their eyes meet and you feel their intense connection across the crowded bar.

In one of the hottest bathroom scenes I've ever read Mick and Amanda connect in more ways than one. They almost seal the deal but, Mick notices something on his mystery girl that makes him realize just who he's actually with in the bathroom. In an act of incredible restraint he stops what they're doing and puts Amanda in a cab home. Before he lets her go, they make a date for the following night.

You can only imagine what happens when Amanda walks and realizes her mystery man is the person she's had a crush on for the last three years. After the initial shock, believe it or not, Mick convinces Amanda to give him one night. One night of passion that they both clearly want. One night for her to use the seduction skills she's worked so hard to acquire. Um, seriously do you think she'll turn that proposition down? Only here's the thing. One night isn't enough for either of them so Mick proposes they share a weekend together and then everything goes back to normal on Monday at work. The two go back to being friends and coworkers. Sounds like a plan right?

The weekend Mick and Amanda share is beyond anything they could imagine. Their chemistry is absolutely steaming hot. And yet Mick keeps insisting to Amanda and to himself he can't give her all the things she deserves. Amanda who promises this weekend only arrangement is cool with her, falls a little more in love with Mick everyday.

So what happens friends? After an amazing weekend together how does it all play out in the end? Come on. Did you really think I'd give it away? No, sillies. I want you to read Melissa Foster's Bad Boys After Dark starring the oldest Bad brother Mick.

Yes, there are three more brothers to read about, but I don't know if I'll be able to love any of them as much as I love Mick. He's romantic even when he says he can't be. He's sweet, he's chivalrous and he is uber swoon worthy. Jeez I fell in love with him with every turn of the page.

Of course I love the chemistry of Mick and Amanda and the heat between them is just delicious. I love the relationship of the brothers. They're a tight family and even though they've suffered a horrible tragedy, they've stuck together with Mick as their glue.

Younger brother Dylan's story is next and I can't wait to see what Melissa Foster has done with him. But for now, Mick Bad is my newest addiction with a solid four lip smack review.

This one start out a little iffy for me, I loved the concept and my interest was peaked from the first page, but there was just something that had me wondering if I’d end up fully invested in the characters and the story. Thankfully as the story progressed that feeling faded and I ended up loving Amanda and Mick and wanting them to have their HEA because they definitely deserved it.

I liked Amanda from the start and had to give her props for stepping out of her comfort zone, but her dependence on her ‘handbook’ had me doing the cringing in horror/snickering thing. I couldn’t help it. I understood why, but dear lord was I happy when that thing got pushed to the side as well as her own hang ups, and she started to become comfortable in her own skin. Amanda is compassionate, intelligent, logical and yet is a romantic at heart. She also has a wicked sense of humor, does get tongue tied, but can also let loose when she really wants to.

I spent a good portion of the book loving Mick and wanting to shake some sense into him. He’s smart, sexy, charming and, as strange as it may be to one of his selling points, a strong moral compass. He really is the total package and yet he’s decided that he will never allow a woman close enough for him to fall in love with or vice versa. While his reason for it is based on a loss so profound and heartbreaking that it is easy to understand why he’s made that choice, it’s also one that makes you want to go toe to toe with him and prove that while it’s impact was important, it shouldn’t make him want to keep his heart wrapped in kevlar.

What I loved about Amanda and Mick’s romance was that they already knew each other ,and that one of them actually knew the other way more that they knew. The fact that Mick was Amanda’s boss only added a little spice, and humor, to the proceedings, especially as they attempt to keep their hearts out of it and fail miserably. The chemistry between them was smokin’ hot and the sweet moments were dopey smile inducing. And those last two chapters??? Brilliant and unexpected.

As I said in the beginning, the interest was there but I was hesitant about where the story would take me and thankfully it went on the positive side of coin instead of the negative. The writing was engaging and I really enjoyed the 3rd person dual POV. There was a note in the beginning of the book that more or less warned new readers that characters/couples from her previous series would be making appearances in this one and you may want to check those out first. Being a newbie to Ms. Foster’s books, I can honestly say that if you are like me, you won’t feel lost when those characters appear in the story. Instead you’ll probably get the urge to want to know what their road to their HEA was like and put them on your TBR list and find a way to make room for them so you can read them sooner rather than later. As for the rest of the Bad brothers, I can’t wait to get my hands on their books and see what’s in store for them!

Review: Bad Boys After Dark (Mick) Oh, My! What can I say? There is only one way I can think to describe this book. Hot! Hot! Hot! This was an exciting and hot read. From the moment I began reading, I was pulled into the story. I could not wait to see how the events would unfold. Be warned, read this novel at your own risk. Be prepared to be taken on a hot, sweet and exciting ride. Make sure you have a bowl of ice nearby because you will definitely need to cool down after reading this.
 
This story was nothing less than what I have come to expect from Melissa Foster. When I am in need of a story that is hot, sizzling and laced with a hint of sweetness, she is the author I draw on to get my fix. I try not to miss out on the opportunity to read her books.
The characters were endearing, I could not get enough of them. I liked Amanda’s determination and her willingness to go after what she wants. She is tired of attracting what she considers to be dull and boring men. She decides that the only way she can do this was if she released her inner temptress. Armed with her ammunition “The Handbook: The Art of Seduction” she sets out to reel in the perfect man to practice her seduction on. Unbeknown to her the man that she would ultimately reel in was none other than her boss, the man she has been crushing for close to three years, Mick Bad.
 
There is only one word that can aptly describe Mick Bad, and that is mesmerizing. The man was just oozing sex appeal. I can clearly understand why Amanda was so into him. When Mick found what Amanda was up to he was taken aback. He didn’t like the idea of her trying to seduce a stranger, and so he made her an offer that would allow her to fuel two of greatest desires.
 
“Tonight I’m not your boss, Amanda. Tonight I’m your stranger.” He slid his hand over the top of her thigh, grazing his fingertips along the crease just beside her sex. “One night of pleasure. A fantasy. No strings. No regrets.” He brushed his lips over hers and pressed a kiss to the corner of her mouth. “Just one night, and we’ll never speak of it again.”
 
But will one night be enough or will it leave them craving for more?
 
Mick was afraid to fall in love. For that matter, he didn’t believe that love would last forever. He felt that eventually, the ones you love will abandon you. This fear stemmed from an incident in his past where he had experienced a devastating loss. As such he had difficulty reconciling his feelings for Amanda. Their chemistry was off the charts. The story moved along quickly, there was never a dull moment.
 
This is the first book in the ‘Bad Boys After Dark series. It is a great start to the series and I can’t wait to get my hands on book two. I would definitely recommend this to readers who love their romance hot and spicy.

This is the first book in Foster’s Bad Boy Billionaires After Dark series and this just has to be said. I wonder if Ms. Foster laughs at some of the incredibly hokey comic book worthy surnames she gives her characters? I mean we’ve had Wild in the last series, now Bad and there also will be Whiskeys and Steeles in future series. This series is formed around the lives of the Bad brothers who in case you haven’t read their series yet grew up close friends with the Wild brothers featured in the previous series. This book is the story of the romance between Mick Wild attorney to the stars and his paralegal Amanda Jensen who is the older sister of Alyson the lead female character in her and Heath Wild’s book. Allyson makes frequent appearance in this story so you might want to at least read their book Wild Boys After Dark: Heath before you read this one.
A couple of thoughts a chapter into this book. Amanda wants what her younger sister Allyson has found, the love of her life. A man who can satisfy her in the bedroom, challenge her and make her smile and feel safe in and out of it. Since Ally found her person Heath Wild after a one-night hook-up at a medical conference (Heath’s a ortho surgeon and Ally is a lab tech.). The more reserved and conservative Mandy decides to follow in her less inhibited younger sister’s footsteps and be more adventurous in her love life instead of dating the safe, boring, three piece suit wearing types she’s always gone for. Problem is Mandy is madly in love with her handsome boss Mick Bad who doesn’t date clients or employees so she’s never going to find what she’s looking for in random hook-ups. She studies up on how to be more sexually aggressive and seduce a man and then joins a masquerade themed pub crawl to put what she’s learned into action. Dressed in clothes to accent her hour-glass figure, wearing a blonde wig and mask she’s going to go home with somebody tonight. As fate would have it she and Mick Bad end up at the same pub. Mick is combing the bars for a one night stand to help him forget this is the anniversary week of when his sister died. Since Mick too is wearing a mask and has grown a few days worth of stubble since Mandy has last seen him they don’t recognize each other. Like me you’re probably wondering how two people who work closely together on a daily basis don’t recognize each other’s voices or all the other physical characteristics like height and body type that aren’t hidden by a facial mask? Don’t ask. At any rate Mick drags Mandy into the Men’s Room for some orgasmic foreplay before he realizes when he sees the shape of freckles on her hand (again, not her voice, incredible body or stunning eyes) that its his paralegal that he’s had his fingers where they don’t belong and backs off before other body parts become involved. As it turns out Mick has been as hot for Mandy as she has for him but his moral and ethical code has always prevented him from acting on his desires. Now he’s in a quandary. His brain is telling him to walk away but his body is telling him to go for it. Unable to deny his attraction to her any longer he makes plans to meet Mandy the next night to finish what they started without telling her he’s figured out who she is under the blonde wig.
Now here’s some irony. The next day over lunch Mandy tells Ally about her big walk on the wild side. Ally, the woman who let Heath finger fuck her in a hotel elevator before taking him back to her hotel room and allowing him to tie her to the headboard before she had any idea who he was, is lecturing her older sister about her risky behavior. Huh? Guess it’s do as I say, not as I do. Mandy caught up in her new found sexual freedom while pretending to be someone else doesn’t want to hear it. She’s going to go ahead and meet the handsome stranger she let put his hands down her pants the night before hoping he’ll do so much more to her. She and Mick meet at the designated time and place. She’s stunned and embarrassed to discover it was her boss, her crush that saw her in her sexy disguise trolling for a hook up with a stranger and allowed him to do naughty things to her in the men’s room of a bar. Mick again unable to resist his attraction to Mandy talks her into one night of hot sex where he promises to give her the night of wild sex she’s been longing for while helping teach her how to be both seductive and safe in her future sexual exploits. Then they’ll go back to their normal boss-employee relationship and never speak of that night. What he’s really hoping to do is fuck Amanda out of his system. But we all know how that works out.
Now Mick Bad unfortunately is your typical contemporary romance male lead. Like all the Bad men and the Wilds before them, he’s devastatingly handsome with the face of a dark angel and the body of a Greek god. And like most C.R. heroes he’s got a ton of emotional baggage that makes him closed off and allergic to serious relationships. Oh, his younger sister died from leukemia and his parents divorced so therefore nothing lasts forever including love and relationships. So, on top of his ethical quandary about lusting over his hot paralegal, he knows she’s a relationship, white picket fence kind of girl in spite of her brazen behavior the previous night. So even if he could date her he could never give her what she wants. Still he wants her so badly he can’t stay away from her.
After a night of the hottest and best sex either has ever had, (which isn’t saying a whole lot in Mandy’s case), Mick realizes he’s not ready to end it with Mandy. So, he talks her (and himself) into spending the entire weekend with him learning how to seduce men while he critiques her moves. And of course more sex between the two will be involved. Mandy while not a virgin was apparently so sexually inexperienced from dating boring guys, she’s only had sex in the missionary position. Given the opportunity to improve both her seduction and sex techniques with the guy she’s been in love with for the past three years, desire over rules her common sense and she agrees. With Mick she certainly gets quite the experience about all things sexual. Feeling safe with him she discovers parts of her own sexuality she never imagined existed.
The bulk of the rest of the story is Mick trying to hold on to his long held feelings about love and relationships and not allow himself to fall for Mandy (which of course he already has) and Mandy constantly trying to also rein in her feelings for Mick and remind herself that this is just one weekend of sex with Mick and not the start of something more with bouts of intense, graphic sex sandwiched in between their angst. You can’t blame Mandy for her constant state of confusion as Mick keeps sending her mixed signals. Every time he drops his walls for a moment she thinks they could be more. Then he brings the walls back up and retreats to his “this is just one weekend position.” She’s already decided that there is no way after the intimacy both sexual and emotional they’ve shared this weekend that she can continue working for Mick when Monday comes. The author again (as she did in Logan Wild’s story) returns us to the imaginary Upstate NY town of Sweetwater on the shores of the imaginary Sugar Lake nestled in the imaginary Silver Mountains for the couple’s weekend of debauchery. We are again introduced to a couple of the Dalton sisters whose family and friends will be the main characters in both her Sugar Lake and Harmony Pointe series. Can love conquer all? Will Mandy have to resign her position with the firm to get Mick to realize what he’s losing?
I thought this was an okay story. There wasn’t a whole lot of originality to it. But then you could say that about almost every contemporary romance story. The characters dialogue both internal and external was well written oozing with feelings both happy and sad, always intense. Some of the sex scenes were scorching hot. As a fan of this genre I definitely enjoyed the romantic ending.

If you are looking for the ultimate escapism in a book, then this is the one for you. This was a toe-curling, heart-thumping, fun and entertaining read. This is my first Melissa Foster book and it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book. I thought the storyline was intriguing and she gave us characters that you couldn’t help but want to get to know better. I thought flow of the story was really good, but I did find the pace a little slow at times. I also felt that the ending was a little rushed, but overall I really liked this book. I will warn you though…..if a HOT, Dirty Talking Alpha Male isn’t your thing, then you will want to stay away from this book. Mick truly melted my kindle and panties ;)

This book is a standalone novel and the first in it’s series. Each of Mick’s brothers will be getting a book as well. I know I can’t wait to read those stories. From what I understand we do see other characters from her other series in this book, but don’t worry, you don’t need to read any other books before reading this one. You won’t be lost at all.

In this book we follow Mick and Amanda. Mick is a high profiled Entertainment Attorney. He is rich, powerful, handsome and the best dirty talker I have ever read. Amanda is a paralegal for Mick’s law firm and has secretly been in love with Mick for three years. Amanda is the shy quiet one, who seems to only attract the boring type man. Well she is fed up with that and decides to take action. So she goes on a Masquerade Bar Crawl to find a man to have a one night stand with. Who she finds is not who she is expecting!!! When it’s revealed that her mystery man is none other than her boss Mick….will these two decide to see where things go? What happens when that One night just isn’t enough??? Can these two find their HEA?? You’ll have to read this book to find out :)

I would 100% recommend this book to anyone looking for that afternoon escape with a totally HOT and wicked Alpha Male and that borders on the Forbidden Romance Novel. Trust me you will get swept away with Mick and Amanda.

Wow, what can I say about Mick Bad, he is BAD but in a good way, he is sexy and all alpha male and finds out that he is possessive when he needs to be. He is a powerful attorney who knows what he wants but he can't have the one thing he wants because he wants Amanda but he knows where that will lead. After he has seen love fall apart with his parents, he knows the fairy tale isn't real.
Amanda has worked as a paralegal for Mick for the last three years and has lusted after him but she knows that there will never be anything between them. He doesn't even pay attention to any of the women who come into the office and throw themselves at him, so what chance would she have. So she comes up with a plan to find her inner sex kitten and learn how to seduce a man. One night during a masked bar crawl, she notices a man that is powerful, strong and draws attention and Amanda is overwhelmed by his stare. Can she do the one-night stand thing?
Will Amanda be able to seduce the stranger in the bar? Will Mick finally realize how he feels about Amanda? Can they make things work before anyone gets hurt?
I have found that anytime a Melissa Foster book comes across my review list, I have to have it. I am never disappointed and this book is worth it. I was hoping things work out for Amanda through the whole book and lusting after Mick myself. His name says it all, I mean what more do you need to read this book than Mick Bad. So I recommend you read this book and also read the Wild brothers series, they are hot too. I want more of the Bad brothers NOW!

This was one HAWT book!!!

I'm telling you, this was an incredibly sexy story!! I'm a huge fan of Melissa's work and this quickly became one of my favorites!

Amanda and Mick were a match made in Heaven, but Mick's past hinders his views of a future. The painful memories he harbors come into play and they have a chance to ruin the best thing that's ever happened to him. Good thing Amanda is up for the challenge;)

I simply adore stories about two people that have everything against them, but you hold out hope for the future they both deserve. That was Amanda and Mick to me.

Melissa Foster blew it out of the water with this one!!

This was a new author to me and what an introduction it was.
This is the story of Amanda Jenner, a paralegal who is determined to take control of her love life; no longer happy to sit back and let life pass her by
Her totally off limits boss is Mick Bad, an entertainment attorney; he never mixes business with pleasure, nor does he believe in relationships.
Both decide to attend a masquerade bar crawl. Amanda is thoroughly delighted when she makes out with a smoking hot tall, dark man, only to be horrified when she finds out it is her commitment phobic boss Mick (and her secret fantasy). Mick on the other hand realises it is Amanda, which is an absolute delight since he has the hots for her.
Mick now that he has tasted the delights of Amanda wants more and offers to assist her in learning the art of seduction. A no strings attached weekend that will end on Monday. What Mick doesn’t count on is his attraction for Amanda deepening whilst Amanda is uncertain she will survive a weekend of sheer bliss with Mick.
I loved this book. There were some extremely stimulating and panty melting moments reading this book. Mick and Amanda are destined to be together, their chemistry is outstanding and I must admit I was hard pressed to stop reading.
I loved Mick and Amanda together, as a couple and more importantly as individuals. I was cheering till the end and cannot wait to read more in the series.

Oh.My.God!

Deliciously sexy, heart pounding, toe curling escapism in another fantastic erotic novel from Melissa Foster. I've been a fan of Melissa's from the first page of the Harborside Nights series. Her books are always hot with the depth and feeling you want from any novel but in this series however Melissa has cranked up the heat, cranked up the language and sex oozes from the pages.

I read this book in two sittings, only because life got in the way ha ha! I couldn't put it down. What I really loved in this book was that consent, which has been an issue for me in other popular erotic novels, is addressed fully. Everything that happens, happens between two consenting adults who through exploring each other are also finding themselves.

I loved the setting of the novel, I could almost hear the leaves of the trees rustling as Mick and Amanda arrived in their little paradise. He's rich and powerful, she's shy but sizzling, it's fantasy in every aspect. Beautiful people, in beautiful locations, experiencing beautiful pleasure. I found it to be wonderful escapism from every day hum drum and even my husband enjoyed the . . erm . . . effects of the book *blush*

I never put spoilers in my reviews as I think it detracts from the reading experience but I'm almost certain this book will have you breathless with antici . . . .pation!

Bad Boys After Dark: Mick, is my first book by Melissa Foster. Boy can she write a smoking hot love scene! This book is laden with steamy encounters and a very dirty talking, hot alpha male. Mick and Amanda meet during a masquerade pub crawl. Amanda is trying on a new to her, sexy persona. She's tired of the boring lawyers and businessmen she seems to attract. Looking for something sexier & edgier, she eyes the man across the room and holds his stare. Little does she know it's her boss! The one she's been hot for going on 3 long years!!! Mick, realizing it's Amanda he's seducing much too late. They're already in the men's room steaming up the mirrors! But, Mick finds himself more than intrigued with the un-buttoned up version of his normally very buttoned up paralegal. Coming clean with Amanda the next day on his identity they embark on a weekend tryst to help bring Amanda into her new seductive self. They both end up falling hard while trying hard to hold back. Mick steals the show in this book, he's the ultimate pillow talker and had me fanning myself often. Holy Hotness, do I love a dirty talker! It's a very "helpless romantic" type novel that is sweet yet sexy. Fun & Easy, it's an entertaining read! Mick has 3 brothers and i'm looking forward to getting to know them better in the upcoming Bad Boys books!
