When one man is brought face-to-face with his future and his past in a most miraculous way he discovers a love deeper and more amazing than he could ever have known! Life was good for Amish farmer Joachim. Well respected in the community and known for his gentle wisdom everything was going well for this God-fearing man. But that was about to change. When all three of his children decided to turn their backs on life in the Amish community, Joachim came face to face with a hitherto unknown adversary as deep discouragement led him to the brink of despair.
But God knows the heart of his struggling children and is always ready to help and defend those that belong to him, even if it means using an inexperienced angel.
A delightful Amish Christmas Romance filled with the wonder of the Season and our Savior.
I really enjoyed this Amish version of It's a Wonderful Life. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 5* rating. We are reminded to listen to that small still voice to tries to get our attention. I loved how the characters evolved, drawing back on their faith and the teaching from their youth.
A nice twist on the Wonderful Life/Christmas Carol concept, but as soon as it got rolling, it was over, with almost no wrap up. It's like the author met her word limit and quit.
This was a lovely story with a realistic plot. The characters which led this story and held together everything which made up this novel were fantastic at what they set out to accomplish. If you would like to place yourself into a book, to become that character, then this is the novel for you.
To often we judge people, places, and things when we are not supposed to. It is not our position to judge anything. We are to do the best we can to serve and let God be the judge.
