Shifter Date #2

Hungry as a Wolf

Rate this book
What happens when two shifters meet? They're ravenous for love.

Luke knows how to get what he wants. A lone wolf at heart, he has no problem filling his bed with willing partners. Sure, it's steamy, but love? It's not in the cards. But when he matches with his best friend's little sister on the paranormal dating app, Shifter Date, everything changes. Jasmine is a fiery lioness and totally off limits--but that makes her all the more alluring.

Jasmine has had a crush on Luke as long as she can remember. He's sexy, powerful, and alpha. But as his best friend's little sister, Jasmine knows she doesn't stand a chance.

When Luke swipes right on her Shifter Date profile, Jasmine is shocked. Could this be the start of something more, a shifter romance?

But Power Shift is out for blood. They oppose any interspecies dating, and will stop at nothing to keep the shapeshifter lines pure. When they attack, can Jasmine and Luke protect each other? Can their newfound love survive? Can wolves and lions be fated mates?

Warning: this book contains crazy chemistry, lots of sex, and a little violence to keep things spicy. If those things don't appeal to you, this book is not for you!

This story was short, sexy and sweet and had a certain kind of charm to it. The plot was exciting, thrilling and a bit suspenseful, enough that I'm definitely going to stay tuned to this series to see how it all will play out. And the characters? Gah, they were adorable! Basically, Luke (a wolf shifter) has always wanted Jasmine. And Jasmine (a lion shifter) has always wanted Luke. These two finally get on the same page and when they do... it's explosive. Let's just say that Alma Black knows how to turn up the heat.

There's a Power Shift suspense element, Luke and Jasmine shift at one point to defend each other, these characters can't keep their hands off of each other, there's a love of a lifetime, and it all adds up to quite an enjoyable experience. I'm still considered a newbie lover of Paranormal Romance, but if stories like this one are what I can expect, then I'll be sticking around ;)

Seriously? The Shifter dating app Luke was playing with found his match. Too bad it was his best friend’s little sister, the same lioness he has had the hots for forever. Can you say totally off limits? Luke, hot wolf shifter, never at a loss for ladies willing to join his puppy pile, is not a fan of love. Jasmine is a fiery, outspoken, a lioness who can stop traffic with her looks.

You guessed it, Jasmine has had a crush on Luke, the alpha wolf for years, but he has never given her more than a glance. Is this shifter dating app for real? Have Jasmine’s prayers been answered? Is Luke willing to give love a try or will the radical Power Shift end their romance before it begins?

Ah, love, passion and romance, shifter style! Always sizzling, intense and never without a few major bumps in the road! Alma Black’s SHIFTER DATE: HUNGRY AS A WOLF is a short and sassy tale of love, or should I say the power of love over hatred and fear? There’s just enough story to become invested in the characters and their story and just enough heat to need a cold cloth after! Because, really, those shifters have passion that burns!

I received an ARC edition from Alma Black in exchange for my honest review.

A little over a week ago I read Alma Black’s Shifter Date: Must Love Lions. I had a lot of fun with it and I was super curious to see what happened next. Thus, when I was offered the second book I jumped at the chance. How could I say no to such a thing? This kind of paranormal romance is right up my street, with the first book leaving me wanting more – of course, I wanted to read the second book.

Having now finished the second book, the wolf shifter book, I can safely say this one delivered just as much as the first book.

In the first book, we were introduced to the shifter world through a lion. There’s a lion in book two, but we also expand our knowledge through welcoming a wolf into our world. If the truth is to be known, I think I enjoyed our wolf alpha more than I enjoyed our lion alpha. Max was lots of fun, but Luke had something more about him.

In the first book, we had a shifter and human forbidden romance. This time the romance is forbidden for another reason. Both of our characters are shifters – albeit different kinds of shifters – but their romance has a forbidden feel because of whom they are to teach other. You are not supposed to fall in love with your best friend’s younger sister; you are not supposed to fall for your older brother’s best friend. It’s a no-no in the dating world, and yet it happens for our two main characters. Feelings have existed for a long time, this has been a long time coming, and yet it’s only now that they act upon their desires.

This action comes through the dating app we were introduced to in the first book. Whilst it is not necessary to read the first book, as this will work fine as a standalone read, it will help your understanding some if you read it first. In fact, I actively encourage you to do such a thing. It’s such a great little read, introducing you to the world, and it’s great to have a feel for things that are mentioned in this book. It’s entirely your choice, but I certainly recommend you give the first book a read if you want to appreciate this book as much as it deserves to be appreciated.

In terms of the actual story, it was a really quick read and yet it was a nice slow burner. What I mean, is the story does not take long to read – it’s one you can easily complete in a single sitting due to length – but the romance takes a while to come together. It builds slowly, and I loved watching things change between the two main characters. I love watching tension build and walls crumble, thus this was perfect in my eyes. Plus, I really came to love the characters. They were both so much fun, and the chemistry between them was wonderful.

The one thing I did want more of was the non-romance drama, the danger in the shifter world. In the first book we were introduced to the bad guys, to Power Shift, and they make a reappearance here. When danger was lurking within the first couple of chapters of the book, I expected a lot of Power Shift drama, and yet I wasn’t quite given what I had hoped for throughout the entirety of the book. Yes, there was some drama to be seen in regards to Power Shift – one chapter in particular was a lot of fun – but I still wanted something more. That’s just me, though, wanting to know more about the bad guys of the world. As this is the second book in the series, as they’re such short reads, I understand that we’re not going to know too much about them – but I am left wanting more about that aspect of the world. I want some serious drama in the future books, and my fingers are crossed.

Another thing I want, on an unrelated note, is a Theo story. Whilst it does not link in directly with the feel of the series, I feel as though I would thoroughly enjoy his backstory. My fingers are crossed that we may one day receive it. Or, perhaps, one of the future Power Shift drama stories will be told from the perspective of Theo and his wife? I’d just love to see something from his point of view. Wherever the series goes, though, I’m so ready for what comes next. I have very high hopes for this series and cannot wait to get my hands on more!

As a final note, I would like to thank the author for allowing me to advance read this fun shifter romance.

Jasmine wanted Luke ever since she was little. He is her brother's best friend though and she knew that he was an untouchable dream. Little did she know that Luke has also a thing for her, but he doesn't dare to risk his friendship with Theo. But now they are grown ups and her brother is on his honeymoon, should they go for it? Especially when Shifter, the dating app shows them that they match?

"Jasmine was someone who deserved to be romanced, wined and dined. She deserved the best of the best. Why did he think that was him?"

I love romance stories with the brother's best friend. It's probably one of my favorite tropes, so when I read the synopsis from this one, I couldn't help but read it. I liked the romance and the back and forth between Jasmine and Luke, but what I wanted to see was less sex and more about the brother's reaction when he found out. Maybe that's just me, but I always expect some kind of drama or at least more hesitation because of it. Still I would recommend this series to people who love shifter romance :)

Hungry as a Wolf focuses on Luke who always had a thing for his best friends sister Jasmine. She was always off-limits so he never really went after her. Jasmine, couldn't remember a time when she hadn't had a crush on him. Both have feelings for one another but didn't do anything about it until they meet at a bar and feel sparks flying between each other.

I loved the chemistry between Luke and Jasmine, and the sexual tension just like with the first book was high. This book was sexy, sweet and had a small suspenseful part. I think the author could easily write a full-length novel and keep me interested. I wish there was more focus on the suspense part, because it shows the shifters in action, which I always enjoy. The characters already knew each other so there was this easy-going attitude between them. Also I LOVED that the author included a link to get a bonus epilogue, I just can't resist them!! I highly recommend Hungry as a Wolf if you want a quick hot paranormal romance story.

Luke has been interested in and attracted to his best friend’s little sister for years. But there’s that “bro” thing about telling your friend that you’d love nothing more than to get close to his sister… yeah, way to end a friendship real fast as the brotherly protection mode kicks in. And he got that, who knew him and his ways better than Theo who’d run those crazy nights right along side him until he’d found his mate. This was different, Luke knew it and his wolf certainly knew that Jasmine was theirs… and maybe even Jaz knew it too. That could explain a lot of how she’s acting around him.

Nothing is quite as frustrating as wanting a man with everything in you… only to run up against that “bro code” between Luke and Theo. She loved her brother really she did… but Luke was hers, she knew that on some level that cannot be explained. Okay. wolf and lioness – but so what? They would be amazing as a couple, even Max’s dating app proves that. It’s time for this sister crap to go away so that the adults can get together and find out if what she suspects is true. She’s not giving up on the man she believes is her mate. No how no way.

I really liked Luke and Jasmine together. They set off ” you’re the one” vibes from the very first encounter we witness. Luke has done everything he can to try to outrun his wolf’s insistence that Jasmine is theirs, dating up a storm of other women hasn’t worked. When he finally decides it’s time to ignore that stupid “bro code” and face Theo as Jasmine’s mate instead of friend… well, so be it. His need for her in his life outweighed friendship on this one.

The small mystery touches early in the story set up that delicious shiver of anticipation wondering when danger was going to strike. If you’ve read the first story in this series, then you’d have a suspicion but the tension is nicely played out.

Of course, the sexy moments between Jasmine and Luke are off the charts hot and steamy. The underlying nervousness from both are endearing as well, as each wonders and hopes that what they feel is returned. Their sexual tensions heated up the page, and their love for each other came through loud, clear and strong.

I enjoyed this story very much and I’m heading out to download the next in this series. If you love Shifter Romance, stories that give you not only a great sexual couple but a solid, interesting story as well… then you’ll enjoy this series very much.

I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

The ShifterDate series continues with Luke and Jasmine, who have known each other for years.  Luke is trying out ShifterDate at the request of his friend Max, who created the app.  Luke is a wolf shifter and has had a thing for Jasmine, a lioness, as long as he can remember.   Jasmine has dreamed of being with Luke for years, but never thought it would happen because she is the little sister of Luke's best friend, Theo.  Bro code and all that.  But when they have a moment at a bar, they start to see that maybe they both want a relationship.   Luke finds Jasmine's profile on ShifterDate because they've been matched and it's all systems go.  There are shifters out there that don't want shifters and humans to be together and they see the ShifterDate app as a threat and are threatening humans and shifters alike to stop it.
This is a great continuation to the ShifterDate series.  It's different because of the interaction between shifters and humans.  It's fun but it does have a serious side and shows love is love no matter who you're with.

What can I say, Alma Black as got her claws in me and I'm hooked! I always find something that makes me laugh, she has quickly become an automatic one-click author for me. I don't think that there is anything she could write that I wouldn't read.

The sexual tension between these two is tangible! Luke and Jasmine have both been in love with each other as long as they could remember, but each tried to keep it in find someone else. Luke has never thought about settling down, he was happy to play the field, but with his best friends married, he finds himself looking for mate more than a hook up now.

This books, is everything. You have humor, sexual tensions, animalistic desires and suspense. I can't recommend this series enough. Pounce on it now!

4 Star Review Shifter Date: Hungry Like A Wolf: Paranormal Romance App - Shifter Date Book 2 by Alma Black
I really enjoyed the second instalment in this series from newly published author Alma Black. I was hooked from the first moment after recently finishing Must Love Lions, so I was intrigued to see what would happen in this book. Hungry like a Wolf is a little different from her first book in that it is two shifters who find eventually find love. Although this is a stand-alone, I do feel that you would get more enjoyment if you were to start with Must Love Lions and Hungry like a Wolf almost continues on from it.
When Luke is coerced by his friend Max to try the dating app that Max developed, he is pleasantly surprised to find that he matches with Jasmine. Only problem is that Jasmine is out of bounds to Luke as she is the younger sister of his best friend.
Luke and Jasmine have been attracted to each other for a long time; how much longer can they dance around their feelings? Will they be prepared to take a chance, or will their loyalties to their family and friends stop them from pursuing their feelings? Or will Power Shift, a rogue group intent on stopping interspecies dating ruin it all? Will the danger that Luke and Jasmine face destroy them or ensure that their love deepens?
Luke is a totally alpha wolf, controlled and determined; I really loved him. Jasmine is one feisty lioness, just as determined to follow through on her feelings for Luke. And there is no time like the present whilst her brother Theo is away.
As you read you can almost feel the sexual and emotional tension building between Luke and Jasmine and Ms. Black drew it out well. Of course the fact that this is in essence a friends to lover’s story probably assists with this.
Paranormal is not a genre that I read often, but I have to say I am really enjoying this series from Alma Black and I look forward to reading more from her.

Hungry like a Wolf by Alma Black
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
I am loving this new to me author and her fun series. Since I am a HUGE Shifter fan and I jumped at the chance to read her books.
This book is about Theo’s sister, Jazmine, who is in total and complete love with his best friend Luke. Luke is wolf in a different pack. The two men have no issues on inter species mingling but Power Shift certainly does!!
One night Luke gives the Shifter Dating app a try for his buddy Max. He isn’t really looking for a hook up because the woman who owes his heart is on the “off limits” list. When Jas shows up at the bar and flirts with him, his wolf goes crazy!! When the shifter app matches them, they both go in to freak out mode. Can they BE true mates for each other annnnd will Theo allow it?
So while the two are dealing with possibly being together they are attacked by that group of shifters who are not fans of intermingling. Luke and Jas are then forced to defend their relationship against the shifters and Theo!!
I liked the book and can’t wait for more in the series!

Love me a shifter!

We get a wolf shifter and lion shifter! Great story! I would have liked to see more of what is going on with the PowerShift group. They popped up a few times with the POV from them that had me confused at first and I thought the book would go further in them but I guess we'll have to see in the next book. Overall it was a good storyline and the steamy scenes were delicious! I'll definitely read the next book.

Alma Black hits another home run with this second installation of the Shifter Date Series. FYI there is an actual shifterdate.com site! So let's get down and furry folks!
Luke was a background character to me in the first book "Must Love Lions" and Jasmine was as well. These two start shining from the very start of the book. Luke who seems like a playboy security guard decides to try the shifter app. Jasmine the kid sister of Theo, Max's right hand man, also tries it out. As the story begins to unfold you start to feel the crippled by the feelings these two have for each other. Unbeknownst to the other. The dog and cat game they play with each other can almost make you want to lose your mind. The intensity in this installment will leave you needs a cold drink and a shower. Claim me Luke!
I also loved how Alma Black made this book about these two, no overwhelming guest cameos from Max and Alexis, although it would be nice to know how they are doing now. =^~.~^=

Jasmine and Luke have been in love with each other for a long time but since Luke is best friends with Jasmine's brother, Theo, they kept their feelings to themselves. But after a match on their friend Max's new dating app and Theo out of town, Luke decides that he can't fight his feelings or his wolf any longer. He wants Jasmine as his mate and he's pretty sure that she feels the same about him.

Power Shift is still in the picture but they only make a quick appearance and the story focuses more on the buildup of romance between Luke and Jasmine. I loved seeing them find their way from friends to lovers to mates. My only tiny complaint with the story is that I feel like I missed out on Theo's story and I really hope that the author will give us a backstory on him someday.

Hungry as a Wolf was a sweet, sexy read and I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

Calling all PNR fans (and everyone else)!!! If you have not read the Shifter Date series, whatcha waiting for? I'm loving this series. It's different. It's surprising. It's sexy. It's fun. It'll keep you swiping pages. The whole friends to lovers plot is common but there is nothing common about the storyline.
Luke and Jasmin's story was filled with palpable sexual and emotional tension. And when they finally gave in to each other, it was animalistic (pun most definitely intended).
PNR is not high on my reading list but Alma Black has put herself on it and I look forward to reading what comes from her next.

This is the second story in this series. It involves Theo’s best friend, a wolf shifter named Luke who was a known player and Jasmine, who is Theo’s sister. They both share a very mutual attraction but both are reluctant to act on it for fear of losing Theo’s trust. While Theo is away on his honeymoon, they hook up and try to keep things in perspective but with Power Shift still lurking about and causing trouble, the one thing that they each know is that together, they are safer and stronger. I look forward to more stories in this series. They mimic real life in ways that a lot of shifter stories I’ve read don’t.

Great read!

Exciting, sweet, and intriguing! I love the dynamics of the relationships in this series. Loyalty and strong ties are celebrated in the plot. The bigotry that seems to flare up in our world plays the part the villain in the books. It is interesting to see how the characters battle it. I truly enjoyed the blossoming love of the two main characters.

Hungry as a Wolf is the second book in the shift dare series. Although it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone book. I loved the chemistry between Luke and Jasmine. Fated to be together, scared to take the next step because Lukes is Jasmine's best friends and Alpha sister. Destiny can not be denied. A must read. You go Alma!

I picked this up for FREE or for $0.99 cents most likely, so when on a book binge recently it was sitting there waiting to be read. The concepts behind the storyline intrigued me. Didn't really stop to think that this was actually the 2nd book in the series. However, I don't feel like I was lost in any way due to that fact. It was an enjoyable read with fun characters. I'm ready to read the next book and possibly go back and read the first LOL

Intense passion happens between Luke, the wolf shifter and Jasmine, the Lioness Shifter. Luke finds himself in an internal struggle. His wolf is screaming that his best friend's little sister is "his". He is trying to come to the idea to explore what appears to be right in front of him while his best friend Theo is on his honeymoon. His is also testing out his other best friend Max's dating app... Shifter Date.

Jasmine has had a rough patch with her relationships. She has always had a crush on one of her brother's best friend, Luke. He is one hot and sexy wolf, but he has relegated her to the friend zone. Until they happen upon each other in a club. She questions that she feels something has shifted between them or is this wishful thinking?

Little do these two know...Danger is lurking.

Luke has been hot for Jasmine, his best friend Theo's little sister, for a long time. In theory, he feels it's deeper than a physical attraction. Unfortunately, he can't really test that theory because of the unspoken 'best friend code'-and the "Do not touch little sister" message is getting harder and harder to ignore each day. However, when Luke learns Jasmine is just as attracted to him..well, with the alpha lion away this wolf shifter is coming out to play!

I love a good friends to lover's trope and Black did not disappoint! Compared to Max and Alexis (from MUST LOVE LIONS), I thought Luke and Jasmine were much more passionate together giving the story a..vibrancy, if you will, that really added to the storyline. Luke is an intense character; very dominant and self assured mostly.. then we get these small windows of vulnerability that makes you want to hug him yourself! Jasmine is perfect for him-confident, intelligent, and doesn't hesitate to laugh at herself as she talks herself into a relationship with Luke. I think Black did a great job ramping up the emotional and sexual tension between these two! The time spent building an actual relationship between Luke and Jasmine grounded their romance, (making it much more believable to me) as opposed to having them jump in bed right away with case of insta-love.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. Strong characters, small thread of suspense, good action, and plenty of steamy chemistry captured and held my attention to see what would happen to Luke and Jasmine next! And the extra epilogue..I love my HEA's, but HFN works just as well too! My only complaint, does Theo have a story somewhere I am missing, lol?!

SHIFTER DATE: HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF is book two in the Shifter Dating series. While it can be read as a stand alone, it's worth picking up the first book SHIFTER DATE: MUST LOVE LIONS to see why Luke was testing Max's dating app in the first place!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received at no cost from the author.

This is such a great new series!! I love how Alma Black keeps the reader intrigued with the mystery of who Luke and Jasmine are up against. Every time I thought I just might have it all figured, Alma through something in there that kept me guessing.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the humor. Both Luke and Jasmine kept me laughing aloud as I read. They both had it bad for each other and did not think the other was interested.

Jasmine is a lion shifter who with that sexy exotic look that had Luke and his wolf panting at her every move. Luke drooled over this woman on numerous occasions. And the fact that Jasmine could go all dominate and protective did not help things. She was his wolfs equal match even when she did not think she could be.

I am hoping we get another glimpse into these two in the future books. I really adored them and hated that we did not get more of them. I need more alpha Luke in my life. He loved his girl and would not back down from anyone when it came to his girl.

Luke's description of Jasmine is one of my favorite parts of the book. I mean when the wolf wants someone who cares if they are off limits. HEHE

"Luke turned and his eyes landed on his best friend’s baby sister, Jasmine. His heart skipped a beat, her scent washing over him, a mixture of spices that always reminded him of fall. He’d always had a thing for her. He couldn’t deny she was gorgeous, even if she was off limits.
She looked especially good tonight in a tight red dress, three-inch heels and her golden blonde hair in messy disarray down her shoulders and back. She had a pert nose, strong chin, and come-hither lips. He’d had plenty of fantasies about her mouth. She was tall for a woman and with those heels, damn; her legs looked a mile long."

In book two of the Shifter Date series, Shifter Date: Hungry As A Wolf, We meet Luke and Jasmine. And they are on fire! I will start by saying that while each book in this series can stand alone, I highly recommend following the story from book one. Without that, you will miss several needed details in understanding the plot running through each book.

Ms. Black previously introduced a world where shifters and humans are seen as different species, both exploring beyond the restrictions and norms that society has placed. But, now there's a app that not only encourages crossover, but it also makes it easier to find your match. Luke, best friend of the app's creator, has been smooth talked into trying it out, much to his dismay. See, Luke is a wolf, and a sexy one at that. Why would he need a dating app? Jasmine is a ball of sensuality. But, she's been pining for far too long. Maybe the app is her answer.

The plot and sex scenes are woven fantastically, as before. Despite the chemistry that practically oozes from the page, we still get to know the characters beyond the bedroom. There is additional development in antagonist's storyline, giving the reader a bit more detail about what is going on, as well as the cause. I'm eager to see where this goes and how it ends up resolved. That said, I'm more eager to hear more about the app's matches and the seductive new love stories.

And of course, if you haven't already, check out the app and blog set up to follow along with the series. It's so truly clever, and delightfully interactive. This series is fun, and romantic, and the perfect amount of cheesy. I'm already dying to see what happens in book three.

Yes, I see this authors name and I automatically need to read her books. Talk about cuteness this is, I never had the pleasure of a brother let alone his friends, but I  understand that Ms. Alama hits it right on. The characters are definitely matched perfect, with just enough humor to breathless imagination, to lust, to love. Yes it's a Must Read book and definitely need to read this series.
Luke is a Wolf Shifter whose best friends are Max and Theo. Also Max Forster who is a Lion Shifter that created the app Shifter Date Although Luke didn’t need help in that department seeing his crush since puberty, really got to him and Luke was no spring chicken.  But having fun all night long with Theo's baby sister wasn't happening not worth a friendship but darn good in the dream department.
Jasmine is a Lion Shifter who has had a crush on her brother Theo's best friend Luke since she was a little girl. Her crush continued into her adult years but because she was the baby girl there was always a ten ft pole between them, until one night and the Shifter Date scoring 100%. Except rogue lions attacking wasn't in the plan. Would everyone survive?

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book

I love shifter stories and this new series is great.
We met Luke and Jasmine in book one, Luke is one of Max's best friends and Jasmine is the sister of his other best friend Theo.
In this story we not only have interspecies dating, Luke is a wolf and Jaz is a lion, we also have a couple who have had feelings for each other but fighting it because of not wanting to hurting the best friend or brother's feeling, and we have the Power Shift organization that wants no interspecies dating whether it's human/shifter or shifter/shifter.
The love story between Luke and Jaz is the classic best friend's little sister love story, but it is well written and with the shifter aspect added in its hot.
While giving Max's app a shot Luke is paired with Jaz who he has wanted for a very long time. When Jaz finds out that they've been matched she's crazy excited but nervous too because she has had feeling for him forever!!!
Their first date is soooooo romantic it's crazy and made even more crazy when their attacked by Power Shift.
I wish there was more with the Power Shift aspect written in, I'm really wanting to know more about them, but that's just me.
While waiting for Theo to come home from his honeymoon, they come to the conclusion that what they've been feeling and hiding is love and will be together no matter what.
This series is coming along great and I can't wait to find out who will be the next coupled paired by the Shifter Dating App.

So this seems to be the second in the A Shifter Date series. I read the first Must Love Lions and while there is only mention of the previous characters and plot happenings; for me it just makes sense to read them in order, but not needed.

Luke knows the bro code and don't date or do anything with your best friends sister is one of the top no no's. So he just watches Jasmin from afar, not creeper like mind you. When Max puts the bug in Luke's ear about trying the shifter match app, Luke goes out to see if he can find love the old fashion way, in person at a bar. When Jasmin comes in with her friends Luke knows, he needs to just give it up. But what happens when Jasmin shows that she feels the same way? Will Luke be able to hold off and honor the bro code? Even better question how will Theo, Jasmin's brother and Luke's best friend deal with this news of them being with each other?

This was a cute novella, like I read it in less than an hour, but I want MORE! This had some sexy time scenes that were just plain steaming up the kindle HOT! With a bit of drama, some violence and of course some shifting, this gets 4.5 stars. I do believe that if this author puts her mind to it, she could write an awesome full length shifter story.

The storyline for this book is easy to follow but I will admit that I was slightly bored in parts. I liked Jasmine and Luke, as a couple but didn’t feel much of a connection between them.
I wanted to know more about the characters rather then their worries of Theo finding out.

Unbeknownst to each other, Luke and Jasmine are attracted to one another. But Luke has never made a move to date Jasmine because she is his best friend’s little sister. He doesn’t want to upset and lose Theo. With Theo away on his honeymoon both Jasmine and Luke separately join the shifter date app. Luke takes a leap and ‘’likes’’ Jasmine’s profile. When Jasmine notices that Luke has liked her profile she becomes giddy and returns the like. With Luke having the confirmation that Jasmine is attracted to him, Luke asks Jasmine on a date. But with the power shift watching and danger lurking, will Luke be able to keep Jasmine safe? How will Theo react to Luke and Jasmine’s relationship?

Hungry as a Wolf, book 2 in the Shifter Date series was just as fun as the first.

Luke, an alpha wolf, and Jasmine, a headstrong lioness, have been long-time friends, and her secret long-time crush. But with Luke being Jasmine's big brother's best friend, she never considered he'd ever see her as more than Theo's little sister. Luke has watched Jasmine grow into a beautiful woman. One that both he and his wolf would like to spend time with and get to know better.

And thanks to his buddy Max's new dating app for ShifterDate.com, he may just get his chance with Jasmine. Both have placed profiles on the app, and it looks like they are a match. Now, if they will only take a chance and follow their hearts they may just find their HEA.

Hungry as a Wolf was a fun, sexy read. I look forward to the next installment in this series.
