It started as a coincidence. A house on fire, a victim in need. All in a day’s work.
But then the temperature got turned up a notch.
An innocent man is murdered and a beautiful girl is threatened. I refuse to stand for this sh*t. I do what has to be done – I take her in and protect her.
As long as the danger is still lurking, she's too vulnerable to wander alone. But Kylie isn't exactly happy about our little arrangement. She's a spitfire demon with an attitude straight outta hell. I'm not sure which she'd prefer to tear off: my clothes or my face.
I know what I want from her, though. I want to make her sweat. I want to make her scream. I want to pin her down and set her nerves on fire.
I'm a pyro, baby. And I live by just one rule: The hotter, the better.
Welcome to my inferno.
PYRO is a full-length, standalone romance novel with steamy hot sex, strong language, a happily ever after ending, and NO CLIFFHANGERS. Contains dark and disturbing themes, and over-the-top sexiness that may be uncomfortable for some readers.
Perfect for fans of Alexa Riley, Chiah Wilder, L Wilder, Sabrina Paige, Lauren Landish, Vanessa Waltz, Jordan Marie, and Nicole Snow.
Contains a free bonus novel, PINNED DOWN, plus a sneak peek at my bestselling sports romance, LOCKED IN.
Wonderful book no doubt ... what could a fireman/ biker and nurse have in common.. Kylie and Jason were drawn together for sure ... need to read to see what happens .. loved this book
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was not my favorite book by Lexi, and I am not really sure why. The story itself was good: An arsonist is targeting members and former members of a MC and Jason, one of the MC, is a firefighter investigating the fires. A home nurse, Kylie, gets caught in the mix when one of her patients is targeted by the arsonist while she is there and she starts helping him investigate...whether he likes it or not. My issue with the book is in the details. Maybe it is a stereotype, but MC members use nicknames not given names. Even the club local to my area did, although it has been years since I talked to any of the members. In Pyro, they all use real names (Jason, Marc, Albert, etc.). The dialogue is kind of stilted, especially during the sex scenes. It makes them somehow both crude and awkward. The main characters have baggage that affects their ability to have or want a relationship and it seems like the author was trying to make them seem mysterious or something, but there is no big secret...no great reveal...just a build up of tension for no real payoff.
While this is not my favorite book by this author, it was a pretty good story. I liked the two main characters well enough, but they both had issues that made, it difficult for either of them to be in a relationship. I thought Kylie especially had a lot of baggage and issues to overcome. Overall, a good story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The plot of Pyro was interesting, firefighter and MC member meets nurse and together they investigate series of linked arson attacks and fall in love, well he does but she is so emotionally damaged she struggles. However, the story for me didn't really flow and I struggle to connect with the main characters, the sex scenes were definitely hot though
It was a decent read but not my favorite the biggest dislike was the overuse of dirty talk during sex it was a bit much. It did have a HEA and no cliffhanger.
