Leo has everything he could have hoped for. A budding career. Wonderful friends. A loving home with his adoptive mother. What else could he possibly want? When he takes on the job as camp cook on Mount Benjamin, he looks forward to a peaceful winter working side by side with his friend. But when a mysterious and quiet alpha joins Gabriel’s crew of foresters, Leo somehow finds himself drawn into a past even more tangled than his own.
Asher needs a fresh start. Somewhere far away where no one knows his name. When he ends up in Frog Lake, he thinks he’s found the perfect place to hide from his past and keep to himself. Except now there’s this bright and friendly little omega that seems to find every crack in his walls. Though he tries not to get too close, he can’t quite stop himself. As the two grow closer, he starts to relax into his new life. Unfortunately the past has a way of finding him, no matter how far he flies.
Asher and Leo brought this FANTASTIC trilogy to an exciting conclusion. It was heartwarming to see how far Leo had come in his healing and life. Asher was the perfect person for him because he could recognise deep dark pain in others. I loved how all the characters at the logging camp had become a family. I found this whole trilogy interesting, heartwarming and entertaining. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AFFORDABLE TRILOGY!!!!
I'm so glad Leo gets his turn to find his mate. Asher is really something. He has been a prisoner for quite some time so he isn't as strong as hs is used to but working with the other foresters will be good for him. I love to see the healing process that takes place and Leo plays a really big part. Leo has such a compassionate and forgiving heart and Asher will do anything to protect him.
The characters here were interesting and even the secondary characters had unique personalities, something that is hard to do in a novella with as much going on as this has. I like that bad doesn’t automatically mean evil. Someone can be a total dick multiple times and then still come through when it matters.
But things move way too fast on the romance front. Both are attracted to each other and
Yes! MPreg with female alphas. Someone insults the main character and a female alpha is on him so fast he doesn’t know what hit him. Oh yeah, the table. And alphas can get pregnant. This is not your ordinary mpreg. This I like.
There was a bit of disconnect, though, in what the author was trying to say and what came across. For example, when Leo was talking about the horrible things that happened to him, the author’s attempt at discretion resulted in me not being sure how he was being abused just that he was. It could have been anything from role play to light spanking to group rape. You may think it doesn’t matters and I guess it doesn’t because his own pain is all that’s relevant but I like to know. Even more so when someone else’s story is told and somebody dies as a result. I really want to know what happened because it didn’t sound like a murder-worthy crime. Jail? Yes. Community shunning? You betcha. Loss of everything and everyone he knows and loves? Trifecta. But murder?
But in all, this is better than most novella-length shifter-of-the-month books. I like the whole series so I’m going to see what else she has.
This was a decent read I really enjoyed this couples story it wasn't too deep it also had it's funny moments . Plus the side characters were interesting a little family drama a decent Alpha and a great omega nice story would definitely recommend this one . I have also read Ravens story and Lions Road they where also pretty good too .
I loved that the official book 3 of the Omega series is about Leo from book 2. I enjoyed that out of all possible shifters his alpha was a dragon. Asher is great new face in Frog lake and into the series. He was the perfect equal to Leo and I am satisfied with the end of this trilogy.
This was such a great finale. My only hiccup is that I felt like they had less development as a couple than the other couples in this series. I felt like they were just suddenly on top of each other. All in all I'm very satisfied. The battle at the end was great.
I just loved the dragon aspect of the story. He had some serious issues but he totally loved Leo. I appreciated the camaraderie of the characters along with their personalities. The plot had me fascinated and the ending was very heartwarming. Wonderful read. =)
Asher is a fugitive who just wants to be left along and not be found. But when he walks into a logging camp that loneliness is put on the back burner. He's found his mate.
I have read this whole series and it is very good. There is always 1 of the 2 who has family problems that need to be taken care of before the relationship can go any further.
Leo was a sweet character from the previous Omega Boys stories that I was glad to see given his own story. It's impossible not to like Leo. He's like the den mother for the logging crew, smoothing over disagreements and making sure everyone feels included. He's a nurturer who uses food to boost morale and bring the team together. Asher is the exact opposite. He appears in the story as a standoffish dark horse who is hiding some dramatic secret. The secret is actually pretty explosive and before long its consequences are felt by the entire crew. This entry in the series seemed more tense and dramatic than the others, full of suspense and secrets. It seemed to mirror the relationship suspense between Leo and Asher. I really liked these two as a couple. They seemed to complement each other and it was very sweet to see how Leo used his nurturing to heal the serious wounds that Asher had. The crew's interactions were fun to see, especially crusty, take-no-prisoners Buck! It was also nice to get a peek at the series' past couples and their kids (some time has passed when this story begins so we have toddler and above). I hate to have the stories of Frog Lake at an end but the publication of Raven's Song assures me that Ruby will continue bringing good stories to her readers.
What can I say but I love dragons!!! Loved Leo from the previous book and couldn't wait for him to find his alpha. Fell in love with Asher as soon as he showed up. Poor Asher had a tough life. He was basically a prisoner by his uncle for several years and wasn't allowed to fly, only living in a cell with no windows. Loved how the crew came together to fight the uncle. I can wait for the baby to learn how to fly. Just wish there was someway to change the omegas as Leo would love to be able to fly with them. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
If you haven't started this series yet, get at it :)
ARC graciously proved by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Hot and engaging, as the first two books from this author (coincidentally also from this series) has led me to expect. Delightful. You revisit other characters you've enjoyed before, though it wouldn't confuse you to walk in on this book uninformed. You fall for all new characters, and you start dreaming about even more of the secondary characters. Dreaming about when you'll get to read their stories. Definitely grin-worthy. I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Definitely my favorite book in the series! I just LOVED Leo, how he cooked and took care for everyone, and I'm so glad he got his own story. He and Asher had great chemistry together and I loved reading about them.
I also really liked the camaraderie and interaction between everyone, Gabe and Daniel from the previous book, and the other workers. The writing was stronger in this and I definitely enjoyed reading this one!
I have really enjoyed this series. It is just that I have read all 4 of her books in about 4 hours. That includes the raven song. That is why I have been giving the books 4 stars. The plot is good and you can follow it from book to book.
A wonderful read as always I enjoy Reading the omega boys books and love how the previous carter's where as fun corky and lovable as they were in books 1 & 2
Awakening from the start. Two troubled souls fine themselves in a mountain tree farm. Love at first gaze. Together they tackle inconveniences towards a happy end.
