Roman Striker is on the hunt. His brothers may have big plans to save his hometown, but all Roman cares about is ridding the world of one vengeful alpha of the Bone-Ripper Pack, Rhett. Getting to Rhett is easy—mess with a submissive she-wolf in his pack named Mila and the alpha makes mistakes. But Roman and Mila grew up together and their history runs deep. And the more Roman gets to know the woman she’s grown into, the more he wants to pull her away from the pack for different reasons. She’s got his protective instincts at maximum, and he sure likes the way she looks at him, but he’s got dark secrets nobody knows about. The kind that could burn a sweet beauty like her.

Mila is just trying to make it from day to day at the bottom of a notoriously monstrous pack, but when Roman Striker blows into the bar she works at offering her a shot at a better life, hope starts to bloom inside her for the first time in years. If anyone can turn this messed up town around, it’s Roman, but he doesn’t realize his potential. And as she gets to know the Wolves of Winter’s Edge, she wishes for a life she could’ve had if Roman hadn’t left all those years ago. Her alpha has destroyed everything, and now Roman is showing signs of a darkness she doesn’t understand. As a war brews between the two clashing packs, she’ll have to pick a side...even if choosing a side means living with dire consequences.

So.... I'm totally addicted to this author's stories.
It seems as soon as I hear about a new release by T.S. Joyce, well I'm just one click buying and getting lost in her well written, well developed, hot-as-hell short stories.

Roman's story is no different.
Roman's character is on the fence between good and evil.
He has darkness, but he also has a brilliant light when it comes to Mila.
If anyone can save Roman from the path to destruction, it's Mila.

Mila and Roman's story is a short, great read.
One of my favorite storylines is when the two lead characters grow up together, have a great history together but some unfortunate event prevents them from coming together until later on in life.... and then it's perfect timing and they're ready for one another.

Loved Roman and Mila's story, but I can't wait to read Asher's story. January seems sooo far away!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this author!
Her writing and characters captivate and engage me, and I love that I can get lost is a good story for a couple of hours.
I always finish Ms. Joyce's books satisfied with the story I've read (because I've been entertained and engaged) and with the ending because there's always a happily ever after.

Kudo's to the author!

See my review for book 1 of this trilogy here: Gentry

Roman is book two in the Wolves of Winter's Edge trilogy. The books should be read in order to maximize your reading experience.

Always looking to hide his true feelings by making people laugh, Roman is the joker of the bunch. Mila is a true submissive wolf stuck in a sad, unwanted, lonely life under the rule of a ruthless alpha. Their journey to find and heal each other unveils more secrets about the town and the Striker family. Although Mila was my least favorite character in the entire series, I was invested in the overall story from book 1 and it wasn't difficult to get through this one.

I flew through this story as fast as the first and immediately started on the final (and my most anticipated!) brother's book, Asher. These stories are engaging and different. If you're a pnr/shifter/magic fan, I recommend this series to you. I rate this book 3.5 stars.

Going into this I knew I'd enjoy Roman but I didn't realise how much I'd enjoy Mila.

Although I prefer Gentry and Blaires characters. This book was better laid out. Far more seemless and a lot less unnecessary details.
You get a lot more information and a better understanding of the character and their pasts. Some questions from the last book are answered while more are left lingering for Ashers. Some past problems are Gone but more are on the horizon.

I really enjoyed a lot about this story, Again like Gentry it's pretty fast paced. There is great character growth in this one though. You understand a lot more about why they are that way. You learn that they don't hate eachother as much as it's made out. There's a serious rollercoaster coaster of emotions in this story to.

I liked Mila a lot more that I thought I would. Submissive females normally aren't something I enjoy reading unless it's just in the bedroom. However she surprised me. Don't get the wrong idea, she's submissive to the point of being a push over. However that isn't a choice, it's the hand she'd been dealt at birth. But when the need arises she fights. She's loyal to the core and very lovable. She had a cute sense of humour and deep down she's a fighter.

Roman reminded me so much of Ryder from Harper's mountains!. On the outside he appears to be the joker/class clown. He hides his emotions by using humour as a shield. Spitting out inappropriate jokes and lude comments as a cover up. Yet inside he battles that fine line between good and bad. His need to help Mila mixed with his need for revenge battled with him for a short time in the beginning.
I love a damaged hero though. Every dark has its light. He was also a total sweetheart at times to.. you know mixed in with all the messed up shit.

I loved this. I'm chomping at the bit for Ashers!!!!

I went into these having no clue about them so I don't even know when Asher is released... sadness overload.

Can't wait for the next.

But I won't hesitate to recommend this series to friends.

Great addition

Wow the series just keeps getting better, but there are more questions then answers.

Roman was an interesting hero. He holds so much in and has lots of burdens, but tries to hide it behind jokes and laughs. He starts off with bad intentions, but....

Mila had the biggest journey. To believe in herself and break the weakness inside her. She amazed me with her strength and determination!

Great read can't wait to find out about Asher and the mystery of Odine.

Defiant Love!!!

Roman Striker was out to rid the world of the psychopath new alpha Rhett of the Bone-Ripper pack and the Rangeley sheriff. While his brothers Gentry and Asher wanted to save their hometown.

Roman knew how to get to the alpha, all he had to do was go after the submissive shewolf he'd known in his childhood, Mila. And the woman Rhett wanted but she always rejected.

Mila and Roman grew up together, the more he got to know the woman she'd become. The more he wanted to protect her and get her away from the Bone-Ripper pack.

Mila had always had a crush on Roman, when they were growing up together she thought they would have a future until one day he left and his brothers left Rangeley. All her dreams crashed and burned around her.

Now Roman was back and the sexy as sin wolf was offering Mila a shot at a better life but she knew that he was hiding something dark from everyone.

In spite of suspecting what Roman was up to, Mila couldn't help but want to be close to him. Her wolf was drawn to him. when her alpha ordered her to stay away from the Striker brothers, Mila couldn't obey his order.

As Roman and Mila got to know each other they both started to discover that what they had between them went beyond their friendship. Roman may come off like a jokester but he used humor to mask the hurt he felt.

When Gentry's mate and new wolf, Blaire found herself in need of help, Mila was there to assist the woman. Mila even gave her some advice. They might not have started off as friends but now there was a mutual respect and deep bond between the two women.

Mila finally took a stand and walked away from the Bone-Rippers. She went to the Wolves of Winter's Edge, there she felt like she was with family and not a part of a pack. Her feelings for Roman kept growing and vice versa.

Blaire and Mila were stronger that they looked, Gentry and Roman couldn't be prouder than they already were when it came to their mates. Asher felt like an outsider looking in but no matter what he said, he was extremely happy for his brothers.

When Rhett tried to cause trouble for the Strikers, the latter found back. Apart the Striker brothers were great but together they were a force to be reckoned with.

ROMAN is the second book in T. S. Joyce's WOLVES OF WINTER'S EDGE series. This book was amazing, emotional and breathtakingly alluring. I can't wait for Asher's story. This series just keeps getting better. Outstanding job by T. S. Joyce.

I want more. This series is definitely darker than Joyce's previous work I've read and I LOVE IT! Not sure how the ending will play out for the Bone-ripper pack but it'll be interesting to say the least if things don't change under new leadership. January seems so far away for Asher's book!

*WARNING* story contains explicit adult content and violence
I am liking this series a lot. With each brother, we see some different side effect of Odine. I am very excited to see how the last one is going to happened after what Mila did and seeing the little from Asher. Great series! Well written. Interesting storyline.

This lady ROCKS !! OMG every book I think can out beat the last one? Everytime I read Ms. T.S.'s books, I'm so enchanted that I transport myself into Winter's Edge. She always has the Adventure, Betrayal, Fear, Survival, Jealousy, Suspense, Mystery, Action-packed, Loyalty, Hate, Lust, Love, Hero's and Strong Heroine's. Ohhhhh Yes, you definitely need to read this book..
Mila aka: Chicken is a Wolf Shifter that's a submissive, bottom feeder, lowest of low in the Bone-Ripper Pack. Her childhood was so happy, growing up with her three friends, Ashton, Gentry and Roman. Many a nights went by that Mila ate at there dinner table. Mila had a full-blown crush on Roman. When he was banished from the pack she wanted to go with him, she went to the Witch Odine who told her that she will be needed at a future date, than bound her to the town of Rangeley, she could never leave. Now all these years later this she-wolf was fighting to stay alive and away from the alpha. He seemed to have decided she would make a good addition to his many mates. This new Alpha Rhett of the Bone-Ripper pack and the Rangeley sheriff was a psychopath.
Roman Striker is a Wolf Shifter whose sees dead people. He came back to bury his father even though he hated him for things he did, he had to support his brothers too. Still there is a lot of fishy things happening in Rangeley and the sheriff had his paws in everything plus the fact he killed the Alpha before, his DAD. For that alone Rhett must die.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Roman is the youngest of the Striker Brothers. He has always felt invisible to his father. He resented his brother Gentry for having their fathers favor. Roman tried any and everything in a desperate attempt to get their fathers attention, the only problem is when he finally got it, it didn't go how he planned for it to go. His father banished him from the pack along with his oldest brother Asher. When they returned to their home town they found their brother in trouble and banded together for the first time in their lives to save both Gentry and his mate Blair. Roman's story opens up a few weeks after their battle with the bone rippers. He hate that pack responsible for going after his brother and his brothers mate. He hate all but one. He can't explain the attraction he feels towards Mila, but it is not the first time he has felt this way for her. Mila quiets the darkness inside of him and pushed away the ghost that seem to follow him around. As he tries to get back at the pack that attacked his family he falls for Mila all over agian.
Mila is the most submissive wolf of her pack and she wants nothing more than to leave the pack and town. When Roman pops back into her life she wants nothing to do with him, that is until he starts spending more and more of his time and attention on her. When her Alpha notices Roman sniffing around he decides that Mila is his and he won't give her up without a fight. Well not a fair fight. When he uses his position as the town sheriff to arrest Roman he sells him. Mila Blair and his brothers must break her bond to the town to save Roman. It is going to take all of them to bring Roman back, but will his soul be salvageable when they get him back?

Wolves of Winter's Edge is a short three book trilogy about the Striker boys, brothers, each hurt by the "loss" of their mother and the treatment of their father throughout life, but the death of their father has them all back for the first time finding that things are not like they thought, and secrets are great. They will need to uncover the secrets and deal with them if they are going to save the town.

Roman is the youngest, wildest of the brothers. He has always felt invisible to his father, and so when he has to come back after his father's death he resents it, but yet here he is. He's ready to run, until he realizes that there is more going on beneath the surface than he knows, and when Blaire's life is in danger, he joins with his brothers to take back the town. Doing that means uncovering what is going on, and that means getting close to someone in town.

Mila has loved and hated Roman all her life. She loved him in secret, never daring to reveal her true feelings, then when he left, she hated him. She blamed him for the fall of his father, for all the terrible things that have happened to the pack and to her since he left. She has always believed she was submissive, the bottom of the pack and she has hated it, but Roman is about to teach her that she is alpha.

This book continues right were book one, Gentry stopped and build on the story of the brothers and their search for answers and to take back the town.

Wanting to stir up some trouble with the Alpha of the Bone-Ripper Pack, Roman thought the way to do that was with Mila. After seeing the way Rhett was treating her something changed inside of him. Roman wanted to protect her with his life. Roman made Mila a huge offer so she didn't have to take orders from her alpha again but she could not accept. She was bound to the town and was unable to leave thats to the psycho witch Ordine. She didnt want Roman tied down to the place especially because he wanted nothing more then to leave after him and the rest of the Striker brother avenged his father death. But things changed when Roman was arrested and Mila had to be a Big Bad Wolf and save him. Roman was able to realize where all the missing wolfs that defied Rhett were and he wasn't going to end up like them. Rhett sold them to one of his own for fighting. Roman made a promise that he would do what needed to stay safe and alive to protect Mila always. Mila, Blaire and the Striker brothers worked together to help save Roman and bring him home.

Roman Striker’s plan was to come to town to help his brothers spread their father’s ashes and leave. But that’s not what happened. When Roman left, he and his brothers hated each other and the girl he left behind, Mila was just that. Now the romance that didn’t have a chance to blossom has turned into a mating urge and he likes his brothers.

There isn’t just one cruel villain of the piece as Roman gets on the wrong side of the law, Rhett, who just happens to also be the one that killed their father illegally, Rhett’s also decided he’ll have Mila, against Mila’s wishes and definitely against Roman’s. Dipping into deeper pits of depraved evilness, Rhett goes the extra mile.

Locating the whole truth of their dad’s death, the Striker brothers have decisions to make. They each have personal reasons beyond avenging their dad’s death against Rhett but neither Roman nor his brothers want to stay afterward or be Alpha of a pack that forgot a good alpha’s teachings. So now what?

Roman is a sweet man with a heart of gold who hides the pain with laughter. He is the jokester of the three Striker brothers. I wasn't sure I was going to like him going into this book. He isn't the worst of the three brothers, I'm pretty sure that title goes to Asher. However, he isn't trying too hard to win any brownie points. Until Mila that is. I've got the biggest girl crush on her. She made me feel all the feels. I just want to put her in my pocket and punch everyone that is mean to her in the face. This book is a friends to lovers, sort of second chance, paranormal romance full of love and hope. The more I read about the Wolves of Winter's Edge the more I fall in love!

Roman is book two in the Wolves of Winter's Edge series.

I really liked Roman and Mila together as mates. She’s a submissive wolf, but Roman never once treated her as one. He taught her to be brave and to stand up for herself and fight. To hold her head high. Roman is the joker and the one who always laughs, yet he hides pain just like everyone else. Mila sees the real Roman that no one else takes the time to see, and being around her eases that for him.

After reading so many of TSJ’s books, I knew the scene at the end would end up okay, however getting there was a little tense. That’s one of the reasons I like these books so much. Not only are they easy reads, but they always give me one of those happy endings I enjoy.

I’m looking forward to Asher’s book next.

I am loving this series! Definitely start with book 1. Although Roman and Mila's story is their own romance there is a lot you need to know that we find out in book one.

I like Roman, now that we see and understand his burdens his attitude makes sense. I love Roman and Mila together as a couple, but can we take a moment and focus on Mila.....She is freaking amazing! She has so much character growth. Her demeanor and personality when we first meet her is completely defeated. This is a huge example of what a little self esteem, inner strength, trust and encouragement can do for a person. Her story amazes me. Mila and Roman together are unstoppable and they are absolutely perfect for each other.

Now....we have seen just enough of Asher to know....we must know more!

Roman

Awesome characters. There's a darkness going on that gets uncovered as the story progresses, but overall, the MMC is pretty goofy. The two main characters and the brothers have great banter as the characters usually do in this author's works. I had several things highlighted that were funny. This was my favorite, from the MMC’s POV,

“Everything had been so heavy lately. Not enough laughing, not enough smiling. It made him feel like he had man-PMS, which he was pretty sure was a thing. He’d researched it last week when Blaire went on her period. He’d been afraid her moodiness was catching. Yep, her hormones could fuck with him. The internet would never lie.”

I also loved that the MFC was a ”submissive”. Life has way too many dominants.

Liked it! This series is growing on me which makes me I'm glad I kept reading. The darkness and violence of it doesn't bother me but rather makes me want to read more to get a feel of the characters and what makes them the way they are. Probably the biggest struggle I had was with Mia. Is she a submissive wolf or just due to the circumstances she's been given? For the most part you see her as beaten down wolf, never standing up for herself but then it's like she has a flip in character toward the end of the book. Can't wait to read the next in the series because I'm hoping more is revealed in the secrets of the boys father and Odine.

Roman the clown, the joker and he sees ghosts. He's come home with Asher to scatter his father's ashes and finds a pack in trouble and wants to find out why his Dad was murdered. Mila is the omega of the pack and she is angry at Roman and his brothers for staying rogue and not challenging for alpha and saving the pack. She grew up with the brothers and remembers happier times. She can help them with the answers but if she does Rhett will kill her and Roman. This book was fast paced and didn't disappoint for romance and the fight against the evil in the town. Love this series!! This book was great!

This was probably my least favorite in this series. Roman kinda sucked. He was pretty selfish for the first half of the book or so.

He straightened himself out tho. And I ended up rooting for this couple.

That fight-ring at the end? That shit was kinda insane, and I wish we would have gotten a bit more about it. And that there would have been more justice for the shifters who died there. All the spectators and douche bags who enjoyed that shit should have been put on a list and had serious consequences thrown at their sick asses.

Roman and Mila

Another fantastic read from rom T.S.Joyce. She is a amazing storyteller, the world building, the tension, the romance... I have become a faithful follower of her work. Roman is the youngest brother and the most entertaining. However, we have come to know him and realised he uses humor to deflect/attract attention. Mila is a submissive stuck in a pack she hates. He loyalties falters when her childhood friends are back in town. Specially Roman. Amazing read. Can't wait to learn more about Asher! Highly recommended

Roman and Mila!

Another great story by TS Joyce, the second in the series of Wolves of Winter's Edge. Roman and Mila grew up together but after Roman was kicked out of the pack, he left their small hometown. Now back after releasing his father's ashes, he wants to destroy the Pack responsible starting with their most submissive wolf, Mila. Unfortunately he realises that she has always been important to him, that Mila is his mate. Roman is a great character and had me laughing with all his dirty humour😂. Exceptional read and had parts in I was never expecting! Bring on Asher's story:)

A wolfy tale of strength and find love

Awhoo a howl of a read. T. S. Joyce has the ability to make you feel the story, almost like being submerged into it. Living the characters feelings and moments. The characters are strong, tender and resilient. A fun, entertaining and emotional story. When you start one book, you are unable to resist the next. Ideal books to hide from reality and leave you feeling lighter. Highly recommended to those readers that enjoy shifter romance with a little action and hot, sexy moments with strong alpha type men.

I'm never gonna be a fan of this trope, but Ms Joyce is one of the very authors who makes it work.
Loved seeing Mila's transformation.
The mystical elements were stronger this time. And there were a few moments were I wanted to reach into the book to go a round with Psychodine. Her and Noah both, but he ain't really around anymore... I had to keep reminding myself that it's just a story... haha
She serves as example of the flipside of love, all the dark crap she pulled for the man she loved and all that it cost her and so many other people...

Roman is the Stryker brother with zero filter, so naturally he’s my favourite. It was hinted in the last book that he’d started to notice Mila, and I thought he was going to save her. But she saves herself. It was amazing to see Mila grow and rediscover her inner strength once she had some confidence and purpose behind her. She’d been battered down for so long under Rhett and it was so great to see her find her hope and cling to it. Loved the change of scene and conflict at the end, even though it was over a little fast.
