When the ransom drop goes awry, hopes of a quick resolution are dashed and Rebecca and Jalil are forced to embark on an investigation to unravel the true motive behind the kidnapping. The desperate pair face a daunting underworld full of questionable operatives, who unleash corruption, murder, and heart-stopping terror in their wake.

Q: What should readers expect from the international crime thriller Cold Desert?
A: The book is a crime thriller at its core, but it pulls from many other genres: action adventure, international mystery and crime, organized crime fiction, private investigator mystery, conspiracy thrillers, financial thrillers, and thriller romance. Corruption, espionage, kidnapping and ransom drama are also present.
Q: What is special about Cold Desert?
A: Cold Desert is a fast-paced international crime thriller that flips between Dubai, United Arab Emirates in the Middle East and my New England home of Boston, Massachusetts. There isn't much downtime in the book. My aim was to give readers a lot to think about while still hitting the mark as a highly entertaining international thriller. There is also a backdrop of romance that adds another layer of intrigue.
Q: Why should readers give Cold Desert a shot?
A: Cold Desert is an entertaining crime thriller that doesn’t stop. The backdrop set, it’s a frantic roll downhill. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep the action catapulting forward.
Q: Have you traveled to Dubai?
A: Yes, I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks in Dubai: one in historic Deira and Bur Dubai and another in the resort town of Jumeirah. I knew instantly that Dubai would be one of the key settings for my international crime thriller Cold Desert.
Q: How is the next book in the series coming along?
A: It's in full swing. I'm writing fast and furiously to get the second installment into the hands of readers as soon as possible.
