Good book to understand politics of religious communalism and hatred and to avoid it.
More relevant in these crucial times.

What a disaster. People need to understand that India got Independence in 1947. It is baseless to set the basis of your teachings and analogies pre and post-independence. The entire govt structure was different. We were under British rule back then. Clearly, this author (who even called Bhagat Singh and others a revolutionary terrorist in his book: India's Struggle for Independence) was totally biased and a devotee of Nehru. He was also a professor in JNU and a recipient of Padma Bhushan in 2010 for his book India's Struggle for Independence (wow)
I can also now understand where JNU students get their selective hatred and outrage for the govt.

If you expect this book to provide a clear history of communalism in India, you might get disappointed. Rather it gives ideas and roles of organizations, state, and the individuals on fighting communalism
