If you have used design thinking, the book probably does not tell you anything new, however it’s a great reminder and summary of process and techniques. I like how easy and well structured it was written. I especially liked the connections he and metaphors he drew to art. Also book is filled with loads of good quotes so a whole lot of inspiration in there :)
Read this book to help learn how to add design thinking to a computer science curriculum I am writing. The book gave me some new ideas for strategies to use in the various stages of mapping out our ideas. I skipped a lot of the art examples but walked away with some new ideas to use in my teaching.
Great book for everybody who wants to know about design thinking. Beginners, intermediates as well advanced ones. I really enjoy all relations among art and design thinking. The book caught my attention since beggining and clarify me a lot of concepts. I do recommend this book.
This is one good book which can give u a different perspective on how to implement design thinking in ur respective businesses. This also gives a relevant analogy between technology and art and how both can deliver better solution Highly recommended for people starting in design thinking for developing creative mindset
This book provide many clear information about Design thinking and how to apply it real life. I recommand you this book to every person who is beginning to study design thinking
This book is the worst kind of shallow regurgitation of general material gathered via internet search engine. It is a pure waste of money; I did not learn anything and might have actually lost knowledge by wasting time with this book. Do not waste your money.
Ok overview but I don’t trust a book that tells people to create personas first and then find users that represent the personas and start research. Parts about art history didn’t seem relevant.
It's a light read, with concise content and plenty of art references. So besides learning/remembering a few things about design thinking, you also get to have a nice recap of art history.
This book reads like an essay written by a high school student who needed to write a work that was 10 times longer than the amount of research they had gathered. It could easily have been summarized in a decent sized blog article, with the unnecessary art history and interesting quotes left on the cutting room floor. The author tricked me out of my $5. Don't let the same happen to you.
