At a young age Mercedes had been through hell and high water with an overly abusive father and no mother, feeling the only place she could be herself was online she spent day after day on social media. The day her twitter account crossed paths with A Chi Town thug known by the Name of Simba was the day her life certainly changed. Underdeveloped and underwhelming
Another broken up book into 3 books with books 2&3 no longer available by any distributor. Fortunately, it is obvious that Lucas is driving a wedge Simba and Dacari. Who couldn’t smell the jealousy dripping from Lucas. How you have so much business success without being able to see Lucas is a snake? Cedes been playing grown woman and mother for years yet does even pick up her phone to call dude before dragging your sisters out the door. His mother, brother, social media platforms don’t give a clue of a wife. You arrive with him to his home that has no indication that a woman lives there; you live in the house for months with no indication that he has a wife but you just leave without any communication with him? The author keeps saying they had all these late night talks but it appears that not much is substance was shared because he got secrets and she got secrets. Yet their secrets are obvious.

I thought this would be an okay read but overall it was boring and the little story line that was there was a waste of time. Mercedes was a hot mess and all the “I’m grown” talk was overdone and stupid. The situation with Simba and Tasha was far fetched and dumb as well, if the father was out the picture what was holding him there? Then the situation with Dacari that you didn’t get any real explanation on what it was he did or why Simba would even think he was the problem to begin with was wack. The fathers coming in was basic seeing that the entire time De Nero was talking it was nothing that was asked like he was having a conversation by himself. Add on all the errors and missing words this was just a mess. I’m over it.

Poor Mercedes. She went through so much at such her young age. All she wanted was a better life for herself and her twin sisters. I wanted to jump into my kindle and stab her dad to death for what he had been doing to her since her mom died. Simba is her saving grace or is he? I don't know who the chick is but I don't like the way things ended. I also have my doubts about Lucas. Things that make you go hmmm. I need part 2 asap.

Good
Poor Mercedes has been through so much. Having to deal with the death of her mother , basically being a mother to her twin sisters and a crazy abusive Dad. When she was finally finding some peace and happiness. Here comes a wife that Simba fail to mention he had. She didn't have to throw them out like that. Great Read

Omg I love this book so much. I really like Symba and Mercedes together and I hope like hell they stay together. And I can't believe he is really carried man like bihh what? I hope this is not true or something and now Mercedes talking about going back to Texas like girl no don't do it. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

O my god this book had me on edge. First off great story line and characters. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Si and Cedes. That ending had my jaws on the floor like wth?!

This was a pretty good read with a story that wasn't all that predictable and with believable characters. There were a lot of editing issues though, especially towards the end of the book, and there were some story inconsistencies.

Love it
Cedes went through so much. I am really hoping there is a valid explanation to what happened at the end. I think Lucas needs to be watched. I may be wrong but he moves funny. Overall great book. Jumping right in to book 2.

Story is ok
I like the storyline of this book but so many details are missing to really pull the story together. And the typos and incomplete sentences were enough to make me not want to read the second part. I kinda want to know what will happen but I don't think I'll read part 2.

This storyline is so good. Mercedes is living in hell taking care of her baby sisters dealing with her abusive father. Cedes finds escape on twitter where she meets simba. Simba and cedes meet from twitter and he takes her and her sister to Texas for a better life. Dacari is a big kid but he helps cedes because he understands her situation. Simba has issues going on within his camp but when it reveals he's shocked. Just when cedes and the girls are settled another bomb is dropped on them.

AWESOME READ! OMG, it some much going on and I was able to follow! I think Simba's wife has the twin girls. I think Simba and Mercedes will find there way back together. I can not wait until part 3!
