About the author

Dr. Herbert Lockyer was born in London in 1886, and held pastorates in Scotland and England for 25 years before coming to the United States in 1935. In 1937 he received the honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Northwestern Evangelical Seminary. In 1955 he returned to England where he lived for many years. He then returned to the United States where he continued to devote time to the writing ministry until his death in November of 1984.

I found this book very interesting. It really explained the book of Revelation where one could understand it better. It went along with what I already believed. It went into detail about the horses, the seals, trumpets, the 7 vials, the seven-fold visions that John had in Revelation. The book did not say you have to believe this or that. It just went over the passages told what most believe and what some believe, what the author thinks. Talked about the world events that lead up to Christ return. talks about the thrones - the millennium, the tribulation, the battle of armageddon, the 6 vials. The Great White Throne Judgement, the 144,000, the Jews and Gentiles. The beasts the dragon. It was very detailed and just an amazing read into understanding the hardest book in the Bible there is to understand. at the end of the book, it goes on to tell about all the numbers mentioned in the book of revelation and the symbols. I truly loved it and learned a lot.
