Kate's just moved for the thirteenth time, and she's only twenty. She just met a father she knew nothing about. And her mother's a liar. That about sums up why she got mind numbing forget-your-name drunk, but her reckless attempt to forget reality has backfired. Now, her one-night stand refuses to be contained to one night, and his connection to her new family has made him impossible to avoid. His cocky swagger is hard to resist, but Kate tries to do just that. Especially since getting involved with him would pull her into a love triangle with very little love. Tenía el potencial para ser una buena historia, pero en los primeros capítulos de desinfló y ya no recuperó el ritmo.
Kate fue un personaje flojo y sin personalidad. De hecho, ninguno de los personajes la tiene, da la impresión de que quedaron a medio construir. Solo al final tuvimos un destello de algún cambio o verdadera personalidad, pero fue demasiado tarde.

This one grew on me
This one grew on me... slowly. As Kate evolved, so did my appreciation for this story. I'm glad I didn't give up because it was worth it.

This is a great quick read for me. It was funny, sad, and infuriating at times. It was an amazing story about how the darkness in our past shouldn't limit the brightness of our future. Ok, so enough of the sappy crap. Ethan is my new book boyfriend. ;) He is just to hot and sensitive and caring for his own good. But I was mad at him when the whole girl-point challenge thing came up. What a stupid game! I didn't like Liam until the end of the book, when he realized he had a problem and went to rehab. And apologized to Kate. Kate got seriously jealous for the smallest things. It was crazy. But I'm glad she finally stood up and did something she actually wanted. She stayed in L.A. Instead of moving with her motlher, who I didn't like at all. She was so selfish. She said that Kate ruined her life because she choose to not have an abortion. She only cares about herself and how much money she can get. And her newly found father is the same. He has to control Kate, and his other daughters lives. All he cares about is his reputation. He even threatened to disown Kate if she didn't stop seeing Ethan. What a jerk! But at the end he seemed to be coming around and started to play the semi-fatherly role.

This one was a little hard for me at the beginning. Then it flowed a bit. I didn't like the characters as much as I want it. Kate and Ethan was an ok couple. Carly's point of view was confusing until I knew who she was. Kate's mother. The author may have omitted Carly’s scenes. I like some parts, but not the end. It felt rushed.

This book started really well, by about 70% it got a little repetitive with how annoying and glum Kate was.i understood that she's going through a rough time, I understand that she's built these walls up so high around her, I would have liked to have seen her really embrace life and be exactly who SHE wants to be though.
That being said, if I forgot about how glum Kate was, I enjoyed this book.
The writing was really good, I was surprised that this was Ashley Claudy's first novel as she has all the elements of a great writer already.
I loved Lexi, she was my favourite. Outspoken, funny and loyal. I thought everyone else were spoilt rich kids who partied 24/7.
I'm giving this book 4 stars because, although I personally didn't like the main character, the writing was great, the character developments were good and the storyline was actually really different.

Just like Ashley Claudy's other books, 'It Goes On' is easy to read, has great conversation and is unpredictable.The characters are diverse and not cliché at all, unlike so many other books of the genre. The pace of the story is perfect and I keep turning the pages knowing there's not a boring sentence in the book.
However,knowing some of Ashley Claudy's other books, like the published 'Outside The Ropes' series and her ongoing story 'Hustle', I can't quite give this one five stars. It lacks a bit of the emotion her other books do manage to convey.
I did like the main female character. She's easy to understand and reasonable in her actions and decisions.I'd certainly recommend 'It Goes On' to those who enjoy a sweet, sexy and realistic leading man and a relaxing read.

I really struggled with.....practically all the characters in this book! They were pompous and felt entitled for no other reason than who they were born to!
I'm not sure if I'd read about any of they other characters from "it goes on" I assume they'd be bundles of drama and possibly cheating it Liam is involved!
It was readable and believable but not entirely likeable by me! 2:5 stars from me!

What can I say about this book. It is a story that began with a lot of promise but quickly declined.
All the characters are simple and lacking in personality, except for Lexie who is the only consistent one.
Kate is such an immature woman, insecure and with ideas that I don't think she understood herself.
Ethan seemed the best of the whole group, and maybe he is, but being surrounded by those kinds of friends hit him a bit stupid. Friends who behave despotic, condescending, envious and superior just because they were born with money.
During the whole reading I couldn't feel the chemistry between them and the ending was so absurd. At one point Kate pushes him away and then, without much work from Ethan and drunk, forgives him.
Carly's POVs were left over and turning her almost into a saint was absurd. I do not know what the author was looking for with this but they were lost words that only contributed bad moments seeing the kind of mother that she is.

Just ok.
I liked this book. Parts of it I liked a lot. Parts I did not like at all. I loved Kate and Ethan. I did not like the chapters about Carly. I honestly skipped most of them. The book would have been better without them. I did like the message with her finding Christ and choosing herself. Maybe on her own book. She was very hard to sympathize with but maybe that was the point. My point is I don't know what the author wanted to say about Carly. And the ending left me checking to see if there was more book or a book 2. The story didn't feel finished.

Un libro que arrancaba con muchísimas posibilidades, y una buena historia, como pasa seguido, la autora ni supo cómo mantener la historia.
Todos los personajes pasaron sin pena ni gloria.
Adolescente / adultos con dinero que solo quieren vivir bebiendo, no se acerca ni de cerca a una realidad, por más dinero o no dinero.
Personas sin carácter, sin metas ni nada por el estilo. Y padres que mejor perderlos que encontrarlos.
Todos los personajes pasaron sin pena ni gloria.

Loved it!
I really enjoyed reading this book from the beginning. I really like Kate and her outlook. Carley to me was a typical shallow women and pretty 2 dimensional until closer to the end when she wises up.
Pretty decent vear in the storyline from your initial perception. Good writing and relationship development between that cgaracters.

Good one
This was an interesting concept for a story: girl learns she has a father whom she thought was long since dead. She learns to cope with new friend , situations and family. All while falling in love, her Mom finally gets her act together and she realizes her dad still has no family morals.

This was a debut book for this author and a first time reading her for me. Parts of this story I liked and others I really struggled with such as the chapters on the mother. I struggled to understand the purpose when I could already infer from her actions what type of person that she was.
That being said, I commend the author for her hard work and passion.

Enjoyed the read
Enjoyed the read and got to know the characters. I was hoping for this to be a series to get Liams story. The moms pov was kind of strange at first but I got used to it.

Disappointing
Most of the characters were annoying and superficial and the heroine was inconsistent. In the end it was too much money for a book of this quality. Sorry but wouldn't recommend wasting your money.

Don't usually review books I get for free/near free on Kindle but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I appreciated the themes of lifetime hurt from an untrustworthy parent; feeling stunted by emotions/survival mechanism; being drawn into, but not lost, a fast-paced crowd.

Almost a DNF. It's like there was an identity crisis of what this story should be about. Super repetitive and uneventful; way too much woe is me and lack of a backbone from the main character.

The storyline I really liked and was believable. It would have been better with a little less language. Kate is someone people can easily identify with.

It started slow but then the story really progressed. I did enjoy it once it got interesting with the relationships and the twisty turning of the mother, father and the 1/2 sisters and friends.

I see all the poor reviews and the DNFs... and I hear you. It seemed like some bad reality tv show at first. Kate really grew on me. Her personal development was not forced but a bit more realistic.

Started off a little slow I almost put the book down but once I got to page 70ish I couldn’t put it down. It really grew on me and wish there was more.

Good book
I really enjoyed this book. It sometimes made me just want to shake her mom and tell her to snap out of it. Kate had spunk and kept true even when people seemed to.be trying to change or test her. I think this book made me want to look further into the author and see what other books she had on Amazon.

Heres to me thinking 'Yeah I'll only read a couple of chapters before going to bed- its 12:32am now'.
Our heroine Kate,is moving (yet again) to the 13th city in her twenty years of existence, this time to sunny LA. We shortly find out that Kate's real father is alive and she has two sisters (Chelsea and Sonja). Her father is one of the richest people in LA, he offers her and her mum financial aid and a life in luxury but at what cost? New family, New friends, Socialites, Betrayal and Love (of all kinds) will be a new journey for Kate...

The pacing was amazing!!
I liked the h, she was normal and I empathised with a lot of her reactions to go along with the issues she currently faced. At times, I thought she was somewhat passive aggressive with the way she handled change and relationships, but she learned as time passed. What I didn't like was ; I also did not like how everything appeared so casual, it could me, or it could just be LA- but casual hookups, underage drinking and constant need to get smashed and lit to enjoy a party is definitely not my scene. I didn't mind the development between the h and her SO, it bloomed. Overall a fantastic read!

Ashley Claudy has stated this was the first book she wrote. It's strictly a new adult straight romance. And based on those two facts alone, you might wonder if It Goes On is worth reading. It is a good, light book for a rainy weekend that has some real, genuine moments in it. Kate is a very strong character and she's able to stand tall and proud in a world in which she knows she doesn't belong. And while you think you'll end up hating the spoiled rich kids, you will find that looks are deceiving.
Worth the read if you have the time. Definitely has a lot of spin-off potential.
