Am I the only one who purrs inside when I hear a deep male voice with a sexy Scottish accent?
Logan MacKay is a complicated man, scarred from a plane crash that left him gloomy and withdrawn. And yet, when we speak on the phone, the confident and flirtatious man he used to be, comes out to play.
Of course, he has no idea that ‘Mary’, the stranger he flirts with on the phone, is me. To him, I’m Faith. The too happy cheerleader who brings out his anxiety for beautiful women.
It’s not that I want a relationship with him. I just want to help him past his ridiculous belief that all women find him unattractive because of his scars. Damaged people like Logan, are the whole reason I’m studying to be a psychologist. With my eternal optimism, I can fix Logan. I know I can. If only he would stop scowling at me and say yes to my brilliant idea of taking me in as his roommate. I’m broke and need a place to stay, and he needs help with the house chores. What could possibly go wrong?

I loved this one! It's so funny, sexy, and sweet, another opposites attract situation. There's a theme of hidden identities, as well as some delicious Scottish yumminess. Plus, bonus phone sex between strangers, playing out sexual fantasies, a damaged hero, a psych major heroine determined to make a difference, and plenty of twin drama.
I gave this 4 stars originally, but I think it actually deserves 4.5, so I've gone ahead and rounded up. It was my favorite in the series so far.
I enjoyed it so much, I was initially saddened that we were getting away from the primary group of Cia and Violet. I really like Faith and Logan. My favorite parts that made me laugh out loud were the role playing they did on the phone and in person. I laughed so loud on the Scottish ness of Logans family. I have read many a Highlander novel and never heard of some of those sayings. Good job Elin Peer. My only disappointment was the minimum amount of actual sex (call me a perv so what)LOL
My funniest line was
"It’s brilliant. There’s no sexual complications, only wellness and touch.” I narrowed my eyes. “I have the perfect name for that app. They should call it Blue Balls, and I’m sorry to say this, but I hate that idea.”

Elin Peer has written another unique and wonderful romance. I was totally spellbound by this book and read it in one sitting. It caught me from the first few lines and I was still wanting more when I got to the end of the book.
We briefly met the heroine. Faith, in Green but there is no need to have read previous books in the series to enjoy this. Faith is a very real, down to earth type character who seems to have it all together. As the story progresses we learn that this isn't quite so true. Logan is a difficult character but he is MEANT to be like this, and I still liked him.
The course of true love not only doesn't run smoothly but doesn't seem to run at all in some parts of this book, however for me it is what made this book so good. Time was spent getting to know the characters and finding out about their lives and backgrounds and why they struggled with relationships. This made me more invested in them and also made the story so much more real and believable. I also liked that the story took place over a significant period of time and of 'getting to know each other'. No instant love here, thank goodness.
The book is written from dual POV's so you get to know and empathize with both main characters. The story line is has been well thought through and it flows along smoothly and at a good pace. Great care has been made to make the Scottish accent realistic (as a 'sassenach' badly portrayed UK regional accents are irritating) so well done to the author.
I gladly give this book 5 stars as this wasn't a generic contemporary romance and didn't feel written to a formula. It was fresh, enjoyable and captivating.
First off I want to say that the entire Clashing Colors series is just amazing. I truly thought that the last book was going to be the best in the series but I was wrong. Blue totally blew my mind. It's such a beautiful story of two damaged people learning to love and trust again. Blue is one of those stories that pulls you in and makes you feel like you are living every moment right along with the characters. I absolutely loved Logan. He was sweet and caring and the Scottish accent is to die for :)
Although I am enjoying this series I believe that in this particular book our handsome but scarred man Logan was a little too shy and intimidated. I do like Faith and her need to help people. She is very head strong and stubborn but doesn't let these characteristics work against her. No, instead these are qualities that work for her.
It feels like everything that was going to happen, happened in the last few chapters of the book. The drama was all towards the end of the book but it was written well. I am looking forward to reading the next and last book in the series.
I received this book free from the Author. It is well written and an engaging story. Black, Violet, Green and now Blue are all books in this Authors Colours series, and although they do link to a degree through the characters popping up throughout the series, all of the books are written very differently, the stories of the main characters in the fore front of each book are well written and focus on different issues to those in the other books in the series.. In my opinion, this book is out there on its own. It deals with the emotional connection of twins; and how relationships can be shaped and destroyed by external factors. The book has emotional depth, and deals with the tragic consequences on death, grief and recovery. The Author has crammed a lot of issues into this book, and despite it being a romance about Logan and Faith, that is not the central theme; whilst this book deals with some complex social and emotional situations, the author has managed to include some very humorous parts. I don't think this book would cause offence to anyone; I would not hesitate to recommend it. I have liked every book I have read from this Author to date; and can't wait to read the next book in this series which promises to provide more insight into Faith’s sister Chloe
This is a stand alone book (although it doesn't hurt to read the series in order) with a happily ever after. Elin Peer is definitely a writer that I love. I consider myself very fortunate that I stumbled upon her books. So far she has not written a book that I haven't liked. This one is no different. When you read her books you never feel cheated or that something has been left out. She gives you a complete story. She has fully developed characters that you can relate to or sympathize with in every way. They are believable as real people. I find that whenever I finish a book written by her that I feel bereft because I miss the people. That, to me, is a sign of a great writer. I highly recommend reading all of her books. You won't be sorry.
In Blue, we continue on with characters that we have previously been introduced to and new ones. Blue reveals secrets that Faith has about her past and secrets that her twin has about her sister's ex. Even though Chloe is rich and famous, she has no self worth. She is a victim of domestic violence and constantly repeats the cycle with the same person. Chloe is a control freak but after Faith talks to Chloe's agent, she finds that Jane is controlling Chloe. The sex is very hot and steamy. There is a lot left to the imagination. Since Logan's accident he has high anxiety having to do with women and Faith wants to fix him. In the process, he fixes her and they learn to love again.
I received this ARC for my honest review and am so happy to do so. This is the fourth book in the Clashing Colors series and I have to say, I REALLY loved these characters. Meet Logan, originally from Scotland. who sold his techie business but the sale came with the stipulation he must manage the company in the Seattle, Wa for 2yrs in order for it to be a smooth transition. Faith is a psychology student working as a Seahawks cheerleader and a phone receptionist with an escort service. The personalities of this couple are so genuine there is no way to read this book without falling in love with both of them. I have oohed, awwwed, laughed, cried, and yes, even had my heart racing. Congratulations on another outstanding book Elin I'm hoping to start the next one soon
Faith is used to being in her famous twins shadow but she also nurses her own wounds. Instead of working on her own issues she focuses on her sister and "fixing" others. When she talks to then meets the Scottish stranger *fan needed* she lays out a plan. Little does she know but one thing is sure life never goes according to plan unless you are planning to be surprised. Great story, the characters remain true. It is sexy and funny and enticing reading. Most definitely one to be enjoyed from this author who continues to bring us enjoyable standalone yet entangled reads with this series.
OMG, this book was wonderful. I thought Green was my favorite but Blue is absolutely amazing. I am soooooo in love with the Logan character. What I loved most is that the author did not write the traditional response from him when the truth was discovered. No walking away in anger until the inevitable make up. I just wished the cover had a picture of Logan. A perfect 5 in my book. Now I'll die of intrigue and suspense waiting for Yellow because I just know Elin Peer will give me another glimpse into the lives of Faith and Logan again.
Oh my I think that Faith was my favorite female lead so far… she just seemed to always live in her twin’s shadow but yet she is the most caring and kind person. Logan comes off as a grumpy old man at the beginning of the book, but he comes around the more he opens up to Faith. The more this story goes on the more I begin to like both characters.
This book was narrated by Noelle Bridges and John Masterson, they did a great job.
This was a nice book to read, however the use of the Scottish language did take away some of the enjoyment. The over use of “ye” was off putting and there were time I felt I needed an interpreter as I spent so much time trying to understand what was being said that it did spoil the reading experience. There also appeared to be no logical reason for Logan to be Scottish.
I really enjoyed this book! The role playing had me laughing out loud and both MCs were just darn cute. They each had their hang ups and baggage but they were great and worked well together. It was a super slow burn, they really needed to hook up earlier in the book. Overall a fun read, I recommend it!
Another great book in the Clashing colours series. I really enjoyed Faith and Logan’s story. As with all of Elin Peer’s books, this is so much more than your usual boy meets girl romance. A touching, nail biting, funny and sad rollercoaster. Would definitely recommend this book.
Happy to see Logan find that perfect someone. Loved the focus on love and not the superficial. This books made me feel like a better person for reading it. Ms. Peer is excellent at keeping the characters interesting and the reader hooked.
Love the relationship between Faith and Logan. I felt all the emotions. Laughed out loud. Crued at times. Angry. Fantastic book. Makes you exam the importance in your life!
Docked one star because of the super creepy fact that the H STABBED a magazine pic of the h with a knife to a wall, all because she didn't show up to the airport on time. Talk amount lashing out *smh*. Besides that, really enjoyed the book and am looking forward to reading the entire series.

Pretty good, 4.5 stars. Classic damaged hero fixer heroine plot. Scottish thing was a bonus and loved the family interaction scenes. Had some mild conflict, interesting twin rockstar stuff too. Overall enjoyed this!
I knew that this book was going to be different from the first three in the series and that’s due to the fact that we had only seen a glimpse of Faith in Green, yet with all the other characters from the previous books we had an insight into them in each of the books. I found Faith to be a really interesting character, I liked how just because her twin sister had all this money she wanted to get by and make a decent living by doing things her own way, for example going out and getting two jobs just so that she can get through life and be able to pay for college. I admire her for doing that as because sometimes people who come from money just use it anyway they see fit and don’t actually realise what life would be like without the money and actually thinking of others. Faith is such a caring character and puts others before her so when she first hears Logan’s voice on the phone at her one job she can’t help but feel intrigued and captivated by his voice as his accent is swoonworthy. Logan is a completely different character all together, at one point in his life he had everything going for him, he was happy with the way he looked and was happily in love…. That all changed one day though, after one fateful accident that couldn’t be helped his life changed for good. Now he is not comfortable around women and the slightest touch will make him completely free up. He doesn’t want things to be like this but he isn’t sure if he will ever find anyone who will love him for everything there is to be about him.
Whilst this book didn’t stand out and grip me as the other two did, I do have to say that this is an amazing read and that you should give it a try. Elin Peer writes such amazing stories and I fall in love with her work each and every time she releases a book.
I have read all of Elin's books in this series and they keep getting better! I loved reading about Faith and Logan's journey to finding their happily ever after. What a hot Scottish with a poor self image finds with Faith is totally off the chart.
I loved everything about this book and I highly recommend it to you! You will not regret it!!!!
I adored this book, but I'm a real fan of Beauty and the Beast type of books. Logan really wasn't a beast--except in his mind--but I loved how he was so fun and flirty on the phone and so different in person. Faith was exactly the kind of person to bring him back to himself, first as Mary and then as Faith. For both of them, it was sort of like revealing both sides of their personality: the hidden, secret, inner self on the phone and then the protective outer self in person. It just worked on so many levels.
I also loved the scenes with his family--AND seeing the old girlfriend! Perfect! I love it when my favorite characters get to face their past and say, "Look what you missed!"
Can't wait for the next book. The whole series has had me hook from the instant started BLACK.
Elin Peer done it again. This book reminded me a little of Beauty and the Beast with a more realistic twist. Faith and Logan are great characters. I mean who doesn't love a big, grouchy Scot! I love that Faith is so open and doesn't rely on someone's looks to impress her. Logan is great but has some issues to work through and believes that no one could love him because of a few scars. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
