Raised inside the secret society of a hidden cult, Ace Myers has dedicated herself to exposing the crimes of her enemies…an endeavor she expects will cost her her life. Before her time runs out, there’s a wrong she must set right…a mission that causes her to cross paths with Valentino Parker and his team of counterterrorist operatives.

Gorgeous, seductive, and way out of her reach, Val shows her another side of life, one of light and hope and possibilities, that wakes her heart and makes her dream of things that can never be—not in her world, not in her lifetime.

Val Parker is pulling apart the mysteries woven around him, the puppet strings that prescribe his choices, which are slowly choking him. Nothing in his life was truly as he believed it, and his discoveries may cost him everything he holds dear—his family, his team, and Ace Myers…the one woman he wants to keep forever.

"Elaine Levine is a wonderfully fresh and original voice in western romance.
RACHEL AND THE HIRED GUN is full of fast-paced action and powerful emotions. I loved it!"
-- Joan Johnston, New York Times bestselling author of A STRANGER'S GAME

"A pair of appealing, well-matched protagonists (with a bit of a history), a slimy villain, well-drawn secondary characters, and plenty of action make this rough-and-ready Western one that fans are sure to enjoy."
--Library Journal on AUDREY AND THE MAVERICK

"A beautiful romance…keeps the reader hooked from the first page to the last.” -New York Times Bestselling Author Catherine Anderson about LEAH AND THE BOUNTY HUNTER

Though this is the third book of a romance trilogy, the story stands quite well on its own. Elaine Levine gives us a multi-level story about trust and being able to overcome personal fears to achieve a goal. Set in the post-Civil War era, Leah and the Bounty Hunter gives us a window into the rough-and-tumble lives of our settler-forefathers and what they did to succeed against lawlessness and the incredible challenges to settle the old West. An enjoyable read, recommended. --Monica E. Spence, Historical Novels Review on LEAH AND THE BOUNTY HUNTER

ABOUT ELAINE:

Elaine Levine is an agoraphobic who lives in her son’s basement and runs doggie daycare for his pack of hounds. Her mind, however, is irrepressible, and she fills the endless moments of endless days crafting romance fiction from dystopian headlines she reads online. Be warned—her stories are addictive and dangerously appealing to those with similarly twisted minds and hopeful hearts.

To me Ace didn't need a BF, she needed counseling and a lot of it. I didn't understand the scene where she put her hand over Val's mouth and nose...even when she tried to explain it...I didn't understand why. I hope it isn't too long before the next one comes out, because I struggled to remember who was wh0 and what they were doing in the story.

Elaine Levine - Razed Glory- Val - Ace (Red Team Series - Book 7)

--It’s been four (4) months since the Red Team began their investigation in Wyoming.

For those that have read this series, this is the installment we all have been waiting for: 1) Val, who is a sweetheart and deserves true love; 2) The mystery of the Omni World Order (OWO) is unwinding and with an explanation of its origins and players.

Ms. Levine always includes all the members of the team in every installment. For that I am grateful because after all we buy series because we want to know about the characters that have become “book” family. This is Valentino (Val) Parker and Ace Myers story who we have met in previous installments.

Ace is still a mystery since we don’t really know who she is. Is she the female that has been place inside the Red Team that OWO stated? They said someone with a butterfly and we found out in previous book that she has a large butterfly tattoo on her back. This book explains all of those questions and more.

Val has wanted to get Ace to trust him for a while now, but Ace doesn’t trust anyone. Val understands that he must not box Ace in and make her feel trapped so he gives her space, for now. As Val shows her another side of life, one with a team that will help her so she doesn’t have to do this alone, she may be letting down a few walls and maybe even trust Val, a little.

A surprise is exposed: 1) Owen and someone he loved and lost through death, or so he thought, is revealed. 2) Who Ace really is and we find out that she has connections on the Red Team that no one knew about, not even Ace. 3) Val finds out about his family's involvement in the "original" OWO and how the OWO changed into something sinister.

Don’t miss this wonderful installment. You are pulled into the story on page 1 and will not be able to put it down until the very last page. YES, it is that good. Add the HOT HOT Steamy Passion and you have one of the best Military Romance Series you can find.

Amazing episode in this series

I have waited for this story since the start. It did not disappoint. Razed Glory had so much information and so many threads came together and through it all was the beautiful love story of Val and Ace. This book was so good I had to keep stopping just to take it in. I'm now going to re-read it. I can't recommend this series enough.

Razed Glory has been the book I have dreamed of reading since the first time I read The Edge of Courage, the first novel of The Red Team. However, nothing really prepared me for its complexity and suspense. The characters are even stronger and come to life more clearly with each installment. Val Parker is not just a sniper extraordinaire, Val is a hero extraordinaire. One aspect of this book that I liked the most is that Ace Meyer is an unconventional heroine. Ace amazed me. Ace's raw emotions simply made me feel overwhelmed to the point of tears. The romance between the heroine and her hero was real, honest and intense. The team made incredible discoveries that lead them closer to understanding the big puzzle. Waiting for the next book is definitely not going to be an easy task. Razed Glory without a doubt is the best book in the Red Team series in my opinion. Simply put Mrs. Levine outdid herself writing about an unconventional heroine for an extraordinary hero.

4.5☆

This seventh installment in the Red Team series, is definitely my favourite so far! The story had me completely hooked from start to finish. So much is revealed during this one and the ending even made me shed a tear.

There were also moments of action peppered throughout, and as for those revelations. They aren't just about the enemy the team are facing but about the team themselves and why they were initially selected for the Red Team and even their families. Some of which were pretty shocking and took me completely by surprise. Then left me with at least twenty more unanswered questions and I really can't wait to get my hands on Angel's story when it's released sometime later this year.

Wow

This is a must read...but start at the beginning. I have to go through and re-read it to get all the details that Elaine put in here. It seems that we are getting closer to King, but he also seems far away at the same time. I can't wait to see what she messaged up with next!!

Again....I am left with wanting. Who knew Val could be so serious. He is charming, romantic and damn funny. Without spoiling it for others, what the heck Wynn?! Elaine you are a tease! Now I have to wait for Angel's story. Ugh.

This series just keeps getting better and better!!!

I loved Val and Ace's story! The things Ace has been through broke my heart, but watching her grow from what she was when she first showed up just proved how very strong she was. And to learn her story, so awe-inspiring!!! And Val, oh my!!!! I just adore that man!!!

I'm looking forward to Angel and Wynn's story. And even more so, to Owen's story!!!

I really like the characters in these books, and that keeps me coming back. However the sheer overwhelming strength of the enemy they oppose is discouraging. The overall story arc is just getting so dark. At this point I can't see how they can possibly win. I hope the story gets more encouraging soon.

This team will break your heart and mend it every book and leave you holding your breath for what's going to happen next as it is all coming to a peak. Wow just wow i cannot wait for the next book. It will have to be 500 pages at least to be done right. Bravo Elaine write on!

Over to soon

I am thinking you are starting to be the Queen of the Cliff hanger. I love this whole series. Every time I have it figured out you take me in another direction.Val and Ace's story had my stomach in my throat. I felt like I was fighting right along side them. I cannot wait for Angel and Wynne.

Once again things are being more and more convoluted with the larger story arc of King. It seems with each book the already complicated storyline has become more complicated and this book is no different. Now we learn that there was no hope for any of our characters they have been destined to be part of things.

Ace and Val were great together, but Ace is a prickly one. One of the characters called her feral and that is an apt description, but Val has a way of getting through to Ace. To helping her see that she is worth more than she was raised for, that she can be loved and love.

My heart broke for what Wynn went through. I hate that she felt like she needed to leave to get peace, mostly because I don't think leaving will make her any safer.

As usual, Levine has written a great story. My drop in star level is solely due to the depressing nature of the story. I find with the real-life ascendancy of the alt-right, that fictional supremacy, race-purifying groups to be too frightening.

Having said that, the story is a good one, with lots of incidents to fuel the readers into a frenzy. There is pain everywhere here, even in the happy parts. There is a large cliffhanger here, and a look forward to maybe a happier time. However, the mystery continues.

Seriously gripping read

WHAT.....nooooo I need to know answers......who....where......Owen....
I love this book, this series, I hate waiting for the next book!!!! So engrossing, twists and turns that come out of no where. Strong alpha guys, the women who make them fall.....Hard. Val is the latest to find his sole mate, their journey, never smooth for this group, sheds more light on the reason they're fighting their enemies. Wow Elaine Levine has a way of weaving a story that draws you in by the second paragraph!!! So enjoy the ride, the story/series is worth it.

Love strong enough for a warrior!

LOVED IT!!!!!! I could not put it down. I literally read it straight through. God love Val, but Ace was perfect for him. It was like watching them find their way home to each other. The hotel scene was HOT HOT AND HOTTER. THOUGHT I WAS GONNA HAVE TO FAN MYSELF. As always the characters had so much depth you feel like your part of the story. The detail that went into the characters connections was fantastic. Loved it!!!! I can't wait to read Angel and Owen's stories.

Full of twists and turns!!

Gosh this one had me in knots!! Its a great story line and I love the characters. They are so deep, real, you almost feel their pain twisting your insides! You do need to read the books in order but you will not be disappointed! The plot is thick, makes you think, question and evaluate how little you really know for sure. A great book and I'm on tenterhooks for the next! Come on already!!!!!

Information overload!

For several books, Levine has been teasing us with an explanation of how King, WKB, Friendship cult, Red Team and subsequently the women who find themselves paired with one of the operatives, they fit together. Well, the teasing is over and Levine dumps almost the full monty in this book. Which for me is a bit confusing but makes for a compelling story.

Val Parker and Ace Meyers...Dare I say it? This relationship didn't work for me. I didn't like Ace any better than I like Eden. Her points and sharp edges eat a gentle soul like Val alive. Val is no longer the charismatic, carefree, fun spirited light that this dark group of individuals so desperately need. I would have much rather enjoyed Val with someone not so scared. Quite simply, Ace sucks the life from Val. Nevertheless, Val is head of heels and vice versa.

Of course, Ace is brought into the Red Team mansion for protection after an attempt is made on her life at her apartment over the diner. Obviously, she is going to have to quit her "cover" job at the diner and pursue her true mission to find Adelaide's son and, like the rest of the team, kill the elusive King. The usual intimacy follows between Val and Ace almost to the letter, along with a last minute second attempt on Ace's life after she tries and fails at a solo mission into the tunnels.

Although we are bombarded with information overload on the Omni Group, Val and Owen's fathers, not much more are learned about King other than his dark proclivities. The WKB makes a deadly ride to Wolf Bend Creek leaving one fatality and Angel is ready to make his move on Wynn Ratcliff and so the story goes.

The complexities of the investigation are slowly starting to unravel, the team members beginning to find out how they are connected to ONI. Ace has spent her life in the tunnels, she has suffered abuse until she found the means to leave. Val as well has found some surprises along the way, as well as falling for Ace. So many twists and turns, surprises both good and bad. This whole series is a complete roller coaster of mystery, suspense and thrills. It keeps you wanting to dive straight into the next book each time you finish one, its edgy and almost has a thriller aspect with the silos and tunnels which are enough to creep you out if you are sensitive to that sort of thing. The group has detoured so far from what they were originally formed to do, they are definitely more evil and almost cult like now. They feel they are above the law and can do what they like, persecute who they like. Ace is sassy, smart and a killer made so by the treatment she received. Val is loving, protective and if letting her go means he gets even just a little of her then that's what he will do. This series is amazing, such a fantastic tale to enthrall and captivate. It holds your attention completely you don't want to miss any little snippet in case it is important, it has certainly given me some late nights reading until I finish a book and so tempting to immediately start the next. Well worth reading this series but be warned you need to start at the beginning and read in order until the end.

In all their Glory

I've loved Val throughout this series. A big, alpha of a man, and trained sniper, he's also the best shopper, stylist and fashionista. He clearly has sisters. Now he's been tasked to discover why the mysterious and suspect Ace has dropped into their midst. Ace has had a brutal history. In spite of the abuse and horror she's survived, she's also become a prolific fighter. Val finds Ace broken and skittish, but his attraction to her is immediate and forceful. Fortunately, he's a patient man. In addition, Angel has met Mandy and we have another romance bloom, sweetly. Danger, double crosses and heartbreak make this story touching and bittersweet. This is definitely a transition book within this series, but well written and plotted. Still love Val and now I've added Angel to that list.

We know the hero from the series, but the heroine is new. The heroine has guts but almost seems like a robot at times. However it's some help from the hero, she's thawing but it might take a few centuries.

Anyhow, because of the heroine we get those just how screwy the machine bad guys mind is and how he brain washes others. It's nuts. Also just when we thought the plot was woven lie crazy this book proves to us that it's even worse than what we can remember or figure out. It's starting to get so tangled its getting hard to follow.

This book isn't as good a the others and I think the authors making the plot more tangled than it should be. This being said I can't wait see to see where the rest of the stories take us.
