Gameknight999 reenters Minecraft to find it completely changed. There are new monsters that he’s never seen giants and skeleton druids and pinch beetles and king spiders and mistwolves. Villages are larger than ever, and more heavily fortified; Minecraft had become much more dangerous. Even the very trees had changed, with some of them reaching up taller than the User-that-is-not-a-user ever thought was imaginable.
There’s a diamond block portal outside of Crafter’s village, and rumors are spreading that a strange user was seen coming out of the portal with a young boy, before they disappeared into another portal, leaving behind a square hole one block deep with a ring of flowers around it. Gameknight recognizes it as the portal to reach the Twilight Forest mod. But how can there be mods here in the vanilla Minecraft?
The User-that-is-not-a-user follows the trail, and finds odd mentions of “303” and “White Castle.” But what do the clues mean? Just how dangerous is this new user to Minecraft, and where is he taking the young NPC? Only Gameknight999 will be able to find out.

Mark Cheverton grew up in Southern California, going through high school, and college. After college, Mark taught high school physics and math for many years. His first book, The Algae Voices of Azule, was released in 2012, followed by the sequel shortly after.
He recently released the first book in his Minecraft series, Invasion of the Overworld: A Minecraft Novel, which is expected to be followed by the sequel, Battle for the Nether, in early 2014.
I enjoyed this book because I liked the part when Gameknight999 defeated the Hydra and the Naga. I also enjoyed this book because I liked the part when Gameknight999, Digger, Hunter, and Stitcher saved Weaver. I also enjoyed this book because I liked the part when Stitcher let the Manticore free.

This book follows up on Herobrine's War, after the great battle between Gameknight and the evil virus. It starts us off with Gameknight (Tommy) having a nightmare of the battle that took place a week ago, making him wonder if he missed something important as the battle happened. He then realizes that some strange user took Weaver, which would eventually mess up the timeline in the future. He then goes into Minecraft to find that everything is different, and as he expected the whole timeline is messed up. He soon figures out that the mysterious player that took Weaver is none other than Entity 303......apparently a fired programmer that used to work Mojang. (haha). The chase is on as Gameknight tries to go after Entity3o3 and save Weaver. Having to fight overpowered monsters and go through the dangers of the Twilight Forest Mod. All the while Entity303 is hatching and evil plan to stop Gameknight at the White Castle.
Oh boy where do I began? How about I just make this easy and say that this is my least favorite book in the ENTIRE series.... wait, no I actually kinda hate it, and that's saying something. The fact that this is one of my favorite book series, is actually kinda sad that I dislike this one so much. And here is why..... One reason is because of Entity303. Okay I'll admit I've NEVER liked him in the first place, in games or books I still dislike him. But I was kinda excited to see how he would be portrayed in the book as a "New" character, and I was disappointed. It seemed in the beginning that he was a smart mastermind, but as the book progressed, he became dumber. He stopped acting violent, and just decided, "Since I can't fight everyone on my own, because I am weak, I'll just hope that they'll follow me around and get killed by the monsters lurking in these woods." Which is a bad plan. Another thing I dislike about this book is because it seems that Mark is running out of ideas (which I don't blame him, he has wrote like 20 other book.) And I don't mind the ideas of hopping through different mods in the game, but it seems as if he is trying to rush it. Instead of having about 2 or 3 books in a mod, to make you really appreciate the mods for what they are. He is just spending a little bit of description on each mod or area, and filling in the gaps with battle scenes. Finally the last reason why I dislike this book is because it killed off my favorite character. Okay I know this one is silly, but I have a good reason to be mad! Before of this new guy Entity.... there was my favorite character, Herobrine. Come on he is awesome. He was smart, tough, tried to thing about different plans. And he had the whole series to him.. before he died in a battle and was never heard of ever again..
What I'm trying to say is that if you like Entity and want to look at mods, you can read this book. But if you are on Team Herobrine, then say bye bye to this Gameknight series.

Recently I have read a book called Terrors of the Forest by Mark Cheverton. This book is a book about a normal person who loves the game Minecraft and has an invention which can teleport into the Minecraft game! His name is GameKnight999 or Tommy. He has two other friends one of them is Hunter and the other one is Weaver. He has two enemies, one is Herobrine and one is a white cloaked person with red glowing eyes! He has to defeat his enemies in order to save one of his friends! Read this book to see if defeats his enemies and gets his friend back or don't read the book and don't know if he saves his friend and defeats his enemies!
I loved this book because I love Minecraft and it is such an exciting book! I didn't dislike anything about this book. I would have changed nothing in this book because this book has the right amount of action, excitement and detail! People who have not played Minecraft might this book hard to understand.
I would recommend this book to almost anybody! The people I recommend this book to is for people who like action and adventure. If you don't like action, adventure or video games this this book is not for you. But for anybody else I recommend this book.
This book apparently follows from the Herobrine novels, but doesn't require that they be read. My son wanted to jump straight to Entity303 and, while past events are frequently mentioned and impact the current book's plot, they are explained enough to get a feel for what's happening.
I went into this not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Considering that it's a novelisation for a game without either plot or in-game lore, it seems like the kind of thing that would be banged out for a quick buck. And, it's true, the came wasn't exactly revolutionary - the plot is fairly simple, the character arcs lack subtlety, and there's quite a bit of repetition. But at the same time, it was just fun. I enjoyed reading it, my son enjoyed listening to it, and since we're playing the twilight forest mod on our family server at the moment, it was really cool to go find places and mobs we'd just been reading about.
My edition could have used some better editing. There were quite a few typos and even an instance or two where characters were addressed by the wrong name. But, overall, I was actually fairly impressed. This book is candy, but it's healthier candy than a lot of what's available.
I LOVED this book because it taught me about mods. (especially the twilight forest mod) In this book, Gameknight999 went back into Minecraft and found that everything changed because Entity303 took Crafter's great-uncle-Weaver from the past. In this series, Gameknight999 has to get Weaver back and return him to the past to save Minecraft from Entity303.
This book would probably have been a lot more interesting if I had known the first thing about Minecraft. But I don't. I suppose that is why in a lot of the book I didn't know what was being talked about.
