It'll Be Fine: A True Story

While the conduit of this book is a genuine love story, a more important tale lies within it.

This is the real, unfiltered story of how I discovered the woman inside me who knows what she’s TRULY worth; whose said worth doesn’t come from her outward appearance, accomplishments, or other human beings.

It’s about finally learning how to love myself enough to renounce poisonous people, thoughts, habits, and situations.

It's my journey of bringing to light the overlooked corner of my heart that life had sneakily shut down, the piece of me that desires to help others, that isn’t afraid to put some of my most vulnerable (and sometimes ugly) thoughts out there in the hope that someone else might learn from my mistakes.

It’s about unearthing the version of me courageous enough to write and share this remarkably raw and heartfelt story.

My purpose in writing this book was to somehow pay it forward for the life-changing lessons I learned from great books and amazing, loving people. I wouldn't be in the magical place I am today without them.

This is my “thank you” to the universe.

I'm just a human, making tons of mistakes. I'm still figuring this life thing out. Thank you for sticking with me, in spite of it.

I'm REALLY TRYING to learn how to love the best I can. I write books to share what I've learned because ... well, isn't that what life's all about - growing, connecting, and giving back when possible?

This book was about an AMAZING Love Story of two hearts, recognizing their counter-point, yearning to unite as one. Not only is this a wonderful love story, it is a wonderful story of a woman working on reaching the next level of her.

The story is about a girl, trudging through life, living the materialistic world of "being the best" and "making the most" at her job yet failing at finding the balance of life and work. Throughout the book, the reader is taken on the journey that the author herself lived. Unlike most autobiographies/memoirs, this book read like a fictional love story that has all the elements of a wonderful book: love, challenges, disappointments, loss, and hope.

Very thought provoking

I must say that this book turned out to be deeper than I expected. I actuality found my self considering choices I made in my life, and God's presence in my life. The sex was great too! I loved the ending.

Not my kind of book

Boring! There were too many chapters of emails and texts between the characters which I skipped. Unless you are between the ages of 13-18, I don't recommend reading this book.

This is a true story of a young woman's quest to find personal happiness. I enjoyed following her journey as she stumbles through finding what she truly wants in a job, in love, in her personal relationships, and with God. However, I had a fundamental issue with the book. While she's exploring what she truly wants she seems convinced that something is fundamentally wrong with her instead of the reality that she was simply going through a hard time in life. I had issues with how self-deprecating she was. I also had a lot of issues with her romantic relationship and some of the things her boyfriend would say to her that she just brushed off and ultimately felt was okay. He seemed unhappy with her so she took this very personally and tried to better herself instead of realizing her boyfriend was an asshole. I'm all for self-love, reflection, and bettering yourself, but this poor girl beat herself up over flaws that simply made her human.

Awful

Worst book I’ve read in a while. I cannot fathom how some readers gave this book 5 stars. Don’t waste your time!

Whaaat?

Skip this one, it reads like a 7th trader's diary. I can't imagine what would make a person write and publish such poor material. No wonder it was free.

Wow! This book is a raw story about a woman's struggle to find spiritual meaning in her life. Her desire to start this journey comes from heartbreak and the pit of despair. The story begins with the first date. As she tells the story of their relationship, she speaks of her past and the current demon of fear holds her back. Wesley encourages her to see beyond the wall of fear she has placed around herself as a protection. But when he breaks her heart, she has a choice to make. Stay in the pit of self-pity and fear or become a woman who makes her own happiness.

It was an excellent book and I don't like memoirs. I chose a four because I felt there were a few places in the beginning that could have been cut. Overall, the author laid everything on the table. She didn't edit her language and she wrote the honest truth of how many women feel about sex, love, heartache, and beauty. By the end, I wanted to hug this woman and cheer her on.

Well written story about the author’s personal journey that is easy to relate with.

I regularly read self help books and unknowingly picked up this book for some guidance. What a pleasant surprise to be engulfed in a novel that provided a deeply heartfelt story that also captured the essence of human nature; love and love lost and the emotional roller coaster one goes through to find oneself. A great read, I was sad when it ended.

Entertaining & inspirational

Very well written. I’m not a huge self help or even, romantic books but this is very easy to read and keep you captivated. I enjoyed the electronic communications (texts & emails) which demonstrates our current societal expectations. I really did not expect the ending (no spoiler alert) but was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed it and do recommend.

Great story, but not an easy read

Good story but difficult to read through the emails piece. Also could have done without the vulgar language given that the story ended with the relationship with God.

It IS fine!

Title of this book is apt and a good way to look at things. I love how solitude provides so much of what we have left to give and to expect. If you want to reflect on your inner journey, try this book.

Quite unexpected

I’ve never read a biographical romance with so much scripture, but it works! This book gives home when you need it and hits every feeling you have. Hang in there while reading it.

It has some really good parts but it also had some parts that I felt like I had read over and over again. If you can get past the monotonous parts it’s a good read.
