A Bear Shifter for Christmas
Love brought them together. The world tried to tear them apart. But a Bear won’t be denied…
I’ve tried to fight it. The passion, the danger, the raw sexual attraction—it is all wrong for me to feel this way about an unavailable man. But I can’t help myself. The Christmas season is about giving and receiving, not taking. This is so not like me to feel this way, but when I’m around Tony I just can’t help myself. The very fact that he is here right now… it has to be fate… right?
The past year has been so hard. I lost a promising career that was just taking off, blackballed from the industry so no one will hire me, and I was infected with the bear shifter curse.
And sweet Derek, helping me through it all has been wonderful, and of course, I know he would like to be much more than friends… but I've never seen him that way really. But I'm so glad he invited me and my one-year-old son, Devon to vacation with his family at a beautiful ski resort for Christmas.
I tried to keep my feelings bottled up, but the flirty glances, the sweet conversations, and the way Tony looks at me when no one else is around makes it so hard…but he is with Beth, Derek’s sister. It’s so wrong.
And now someone at the lodge has been murdered. By what appears to be some sort of vicious animal… in a house full of bear shifters, I have to wonder. Could my baby and I be living with a murderer? And is the man I’m falling in love with who I think he is?

I've never read a book by this author that I can recall but I did enjoy it. There were some parts that were some what confusing the way they were worded but that didn't let it get way of the story.
I gave this 3 stars as there were some errors that were just not ok but I'm super OCD about stuff so it could very well just be me. For example 59% in and then again 93% in the word "sent" was used vs. the word "scent" and that just isn't ok when you are describing smells in regards to shifter smells. The other issue I had was Tony's name was changed to Tom and then back to Tony all in the same page 79% of the way. Small errors but to me I just couldn't get past them.
I will read more of her books though as I did enjoy her version of shifters/paranormal so I will give more a try and I will also work on not writing down every error or weird thing that rubs my OCD wrong.

Twists and turns! This bear shifter story is the story of Jackie and Tony. The twist at the end is NOT what I thought it was going to be. This was my first book by this author, but it won't be my last!

Catching up on my Christmas reads now that the day has passed. This one was more shifter focused than holiday focused and a bit choppy. Full review later in the week on my blog.

Great read

Page turner
This is the first time I have read this author's work. The story pulled me in from page one. Jackie works in a big law firm as a lawyer. One of the partners in the firm is someone you love to hate. Tony is a lawyer Jackie has a big case against. Derek is someone she works with that becomes a great friend. You need to read the story to find out how they all come together.

A cute little tale that will warm your heart just in time for the holidays. Jackie is used to having to fight for everything in her life, and disappointments and heartache are not unknown to her. She is fast becoming one of the best lawyers in the city, despite her race and gendre. But, like usual, there is always one bad apple in the basket, and one of the partners in the firm she works at has had his eye on her since the day she started working there, five years ago. Only one problem...she doesn't like him...not one iota. After winning a huge case for the firm against one of the city's most prominent lawyers, she's riding on a high, and when said lawyer, Tony, comes over to congratulate her, she seems to fly just a bit higher. But the bad apple is determined to crash her party. Will he succeed? Can a friend save the day? Or will his efforts make it worse?

Great story.
Character development was good. Needed a little more fleshed out. Had some lose ends I wished were closed. However still a excellent story.
