Cursed: Piper
I am lost, broken, desperate. I awakened a centuries-old curse and the hunter has now become the hunted. The monster has chased me across the globe, leaving bodies and devastation in its wake. PASSION-DANGER-STEAMY
This heart-stirring romantic tale piques the reader’s interest with the fast moving plot, gripping suspense, superb banter, action, well-developed characters, unexpected secrets, gut-wrenching moments, life-threatening incidents, powerful vivid scene descriptions, steamy romance, and a surprising happy ever after.
Piper a PI is feisty, beautiful and a force-to-be-reckoned-with. Unleashing an old curse while on an assignment catapults her into the Blood Courtesan world. She believes vampires can aid and protect her with the horrific danger that has been plaguing her. Lucky girl meets Sebastian a well-respected vampire who is not only sexy and charismatic but offers protection and shelter. Sebastian adores Piper’s feisty persona, and the more he gets to know her long forgotten desires stir inside him. Protecting Piper becomes a challenge and he will do everything in his power to make sure he keeps his promise.
I am not one to pick favorites but this story is definitely in my top twenty. I found it to be highly imaginative and was totally hooked until the end. The chemistry between Piper and Sebastian sparkles and they are definitely devoted to each other. Unforgettable characters. This story would be a wonderful addition to a vampire romance library. {I relished this read and voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy.} Without reservations, I recommend this book.

This is definitely one of my favorites of this series. Piper is one kick a@# character, she is tough, resourceful, flies by the seat of her pants and definitely one of a kind. Sebastian was more laid back, methodical, organized, focused and had crazy relatives. I really liked that this one was also a mystery, something is killing and who, what and why are very interesting questions. Some interesting twists and turns keep you on your toes as the storyline draws you in with each passing page. The characters were fun, well defined, unique and interesting. The storyline was fast paced, drew you in from the first chapter, easy to read and very entertaining. This is a great series from a talented group of authors. Each collaboration keeps the premise going while adding their own brand of original ideas leaving you wanting more.

Each one is a gem upon itself in this series. This one also has a character I do so love to have in things I read more so than not lately as in a PI. Piper will find she is more than she thought in that she is in the shoes of the one she usually goes after. She will have her help though in the form of a handsome delight named Sebastian. This will be one filled with drama any good mystery has especially one that grabs ya. You will not come across any dull, with also knowing this author having read some of her novels before, that has ability to keep her readers in her grip or nose to the page. She will get what she needs with you when finished with this one needing to find another one.

"Cursed" was a fun and sexy read. It was a bit different with the gargoyle aspect, but I have read many books in the series of 'A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance', and I I did enjoy reading this bit of difference. I was surprised, as I do not read books on the gargoyle theme. That being said, Piper and Sebastian's story was a good read for any paranormal romance reader. I recommend you pick this one up for a great afternoon of reading. I would like to thank the authors for gifting me with "Cursed" and asking for my honest opinion. This is mine. 3.75 Stars!

Totally unexpected
This was not what I was expecting when I started reading the book, but I loved it. It was different from the other ones I have read and didn't expect the route the story took but I was enjoying the ride and didn't want to see it end. I love the fact that the woman was a strong woman and wasn't going to put up with no man's crap and no man was going to tell her what to do. You will not be disappointed in this story.

A gargoyle & a vampire..
This tale certainly takes an interesting resting twist. Piper is running from the death that seems to be following her. Sebastian is trying to find the supernatural killer that is taking vampires & human lives including his own brother. Until he finds the victim, Piper who is more than she appears & yet he wants to protect her. As usual I couldn't put it down & can't wait to read another one.

Amazing!
This one is my favorite!
Sebastian and Piper are my favorite couple of the blood courtesans series. It introduced a twist different from the other stories. A vampire and a gargoyle deadly enemies forever. Will they overcome their differences and survive or destroy each other. I want a second book. Loved this one.

Good but...
The previous books in the series go from hot and interesting to tender and imaginative and always wonderful. This one lacks that. Maybe it’s the characters or the pace, but I don’t love it. Sorry.

There is a war between the vampires and the gargoyles. Gargoyles are here to protect humans, while vampires need to feed from the humans to survive. Piper is a private eye, who is being followed. Twice now where she has gone a slaughter occurs. Who is doing this – and is she in danger?

I adore the Blood Courtesan series and this one just makes me love this world even more. There is nothing better than reading about a kickass woman who can hold her own!
This is an amazing book and i adored every word of this book, this is the sort of book that once you start reading don't even try to get anything done as this book just doesn't let your imagination go and you just need to keep reading to the end before you can hope to do anything else. The storyline of this book is brilliant, you have action from word go with suspense and surprises around every corner that you would never see coming!
Oh the characters….I loved them!!! Piper was such an amazing character to read about. At the beginning you find out she is a private detective and she is a woman who can definitely hold her own, she is confident in who she is nd she is such a strong woman who only relies on herself then you have Sebastian who is brilliant to read, i loved his character! When he cares about someone he goes all in and is extremely protective to these people that he holds close to himself! When he gives his heart he gives part of himself!

Just one of my favorite quotes, I laughed out loud and then reread this section several times. Piper is in big trouble and Sebastian is just the vampire to help her. Gargoyles...wow what an amazing twist to add to this series. Sebastian is great and willing to do any and everything to protect Piper. Piper is a warrior, can protect herself and even though she needs help now she is stubborn as ever. Love this!

Piper, private investigator, chased after her target who shoved her and ran. Following closely, she entered a filthy bar, her gut telling her to get out of there. She rounded a corner and her target was surrounded by five other guys – a setup. Even worse, two more came up from behind, and the target had taken her gun from her without her noticing! She had no idea what happened nor how she survived – and not for the first time -- but limped off and called the police. Sebastian, a vampire who investigated supernatural issues for the police, was called in. His powers let him see what happened – and he saw the dark-haired woman fighting for her life.
Piper knew she needed help. Things were getting more dangerous for her and she could not do this alone. Whatever it was had been tracking her relentlessly. Vampires would probably have the strength to fight against whoever her enemy was. So she went to the vampire club to interview for a courtesan position. She was hired and driven to Roderick’s mansion. He tried to taste her and she instinctively fought back. He took her to his kinky bedroom and this time attacked her. When Sebastian tracked them down later, needing Roderick’s help, he found only a traumatized Piper amidst all the blood! She begged him to help. “She” was after her!!!

Gargoyles and vampires didn’t get along and hadn’t done for centuries, so it comes as a surprise when a rogue gargoyle starts targeting both humans and vampires. Being a female detective, Piper has had to learn how to fight, but the recent attacks on her force her to seek protection, and what better way than as a blood courtesan for the vampires. Piper is not happy with her decision and changes her mind, but it is too late as she has already ignited Roderick’s demon. Sebastian is outraged at Roderick's death and vows to find the killer; what he doesn’t expect to learn is that Piper is the culprit, and she is infected with gargoyle DNA. Nevertheless, the two form a blood bond and Sebastian offers to protect Piper, but neither can understand the powerful attraction they have for one another or the danger they are in; after all they were supposed to be enemies. The Gargoyle Clan offer to teach Piper how to keep the gargoyle at bay and to live with her new destiny, but it is not long before she learns of a betrayal and it comes from a most unlikely source; a mother she thought long dead who has specific plans for her daughter and the Gargoyle race, with a prophecy to fulfil. But can Piper really choose her own destiny, and will there ever be a peace treaty between the vampires and gargoyles? This was an intriguing story with a few twists and turns to keep it interesting and I enjoyed reading it immensely. It is certainly a book I would recommend. This is the 4th Book I have read in this Blood Courtesan series, they are fast becoming addictive.
Piper was a great lead character, she was sassy, brave and able to look after herself, Working as a PI little does she know that while on an assignment in Egypt she was cursed!
She knows that she is being targeted, but she can't figure out why, so she enlists the help of the Vampires.
The Vampire who assists the Police department in Supernatural cases is the vampire that finally tries to help. Sebastian feels the need to protect Piper, both because of his honour and also the draw her blood has for him. There are some twists in the story that will give both of them some issues to face, but it was a very enjoyable storyline. The pair grow close while on their mission to find out what is after Piper, not even the Vampire Council will keep him from keeping her safe.
Piper strong to the end isn't a damsel in distress, she loves Sebastian and she will fight to keep him safe, even if it means putting herself in the firing range. When she works out who is targeting her, she gets a bit of a shock, but not even a prophecy will stop her from ruling her own destiny... Will it be one that includes Sebastian? Well, you will have to read it to find out.

Cursed is a story that had elements that just drew me in from the start and didn't let me go until I reached the end of it. What a page turner as well as an obsession.
Another Blood Courtesans that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This Piper and Sebastian story. There is plenty of action, drama, suspense, stubbornness, inclusiveness, twists/turns, violence, villains, intrigue, romance, passion and love.
Oh wow Piper is a PI that gets mixed up in a mystery that involves some dark supernatural creature. Now the is evil force is attacking and following her, it makes her believes she is cursed. So she decides to become a blood courtesan.
Sebastian is a vampire that works for the vampire council. This story added more supernaturals gargoyles. This is a great paced romance with strong and entertaining characters that's awesome. The story is packed with emotions, intense and suspenseful, this creates a connection with the readers and delivers pleasure for all of us readers. I received a ARC of this book without obligation. Piper is a PI and is used to dealing with strange and downright weird things. But when a case in Egypt goes sideways, she starts to believe she has been cursed. Everywhere she goes people are dropping like flies and she is terrified. She concludes that when the worst thing in the world is happening to you, you get the baddest thing you know of to protect you...vampires!
She finally meets a vampires who helps the police on their more..odd cases. Sebastian arrives like a whirlwind in her life and has an overwhelming need to protect Piper. But things are not going to be plain sailing for this couple. One word - Gargoyles!!! They are a novel insertion in the Blood Courtesans world and there are lots of twists and turns, maniacal mothers, screwball and possibly psychotic sisters and frustrated love!
Piper may have been destined for what her family deemed she would but Piper is fighting tooth and nail for Sebastian and her HEA!!! Wonderful read and can't wait for more!

The vampire Sebastian becomes her only hope in all the darkness promising to protect her. He wants to use her as bait, but does she trust him enough to let that plan take it's course or will she be lost to him forever?
I loved this story as it was so different and refreshing compared to the standard blood courtesan formula. It was well written, emotions, events and actions were well described as I could definitely feel sympathy for her plight as the story went on.

This book wasn't what I had expected but it was really cool!
Piper is a PI and when she was on assignment in Egypt she was attacked...from then on she's noticed alot of people dying around her!
Piper joins up to be a blood Courtesan but when she is assigned her first vampire all hell breaks loose and a gargoyle attacks the vampire named Roderick.
Roderick's brother Sebastian finds the bloody mess and the death of his brother. Sebastian sees Piper and all he can think about is protecting her!
Sebastian calls in a favor to get help with the rogue gargoyle but at the meeting some strange information comes to light!!

Oh wow Piper. She is one tough PI that gets caught in a crazy mystery, having multiple experiences where some evil force is following her and attacking, she believes she is cursed. She realizes she doesn’t have the strength to vanquish this foe so she turns to being a blood courtesan to seek a vampire’s help. When Sebastian meets Piper, he is completely drawn to her and knows he needs to protect her. This fabulous mystery includes gargoyles, an exciting twist in the blood courtesans’ series. Will Sebastian be able to save Piper? Or will Sebastian need to be saved by Piper? I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Incredible
Piper's story is simply incredible! It has the same elements one has come to enjoy and love with the Blood Courtesans series books and so much more. Piper is extremely independent and feisty for a woman and a private investigator. Raised by her father she has strived to prove herself, but right now even she knows she needs help from the beast like creature chasing her and leaving dead bodies in it's wake. The paranormal quality of this story compared to others in this series is unique and welcoming. A delight to the addition of the vampires one already loves. Highly recommend. Another fabulous book in the Blood Courtesans series!

Talk about a 360* degree turn !! Piper and Sebastian's story is amazing !! I love Jami Brumfield's stories but this one has so much more of everything you want in a paranormal romance!! It's one of the best Blood Courtesan books i have read, and i think I've pretty much read them all !! Hot, sexy, adventurous, deadly and thats Piper !! Throw in Sebastian and OMG you have a two person fighting force that can have sex in between taling out the bad guy trash !! 4.5 ⭐'s !! I recieved a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review. Just in case you can't tell, i loved this story !!

Piper is a private detective and gets involved in a huge mess. Sebastian works with the police on paranormal activity. Gargoyles are nasty creatures and very dangerous and one is on the loose. While interviewing to be a Courtesan, she makes a mess. She is sent is Sebastian’s brother and ends up in a struggle and he is killed. They finally find out that she is the mate to the Gargoyle. She goes to the home of the Gargoyles and ends up caught up in the spell that would make her free. Sebastian is worried that Piper may never wake up. When she finally does, She and Sebastian live their lives free and very much in love.
