I love Mark Tufo...he not only is a talented author, he is a great person...his wife is too...she would have to be to deal with his craziness...lol And Sean Runnette IS the one and ONLY Mike Talbot!

The group is just barely making it...but they are survivors and Mike will always fight for his friends and family...The Beginning of this book with the Deneaux scene..WOW...I was Like SERIOUSLY? She is sooo evil...but I did not want that to happen to her...and she recovered like a champ..she really is cold blooded...and there is seriously something going on between her and Mike...they are developing a kind of kinship that is creepy crazy...and Trip is really communing with something supernatural..I think we may even see some sort of crossover universe happening here soon...

MAJOR CLIFFY ENDING!! LOL I know that makes some people angry...but I dont mind a cliffy...that just tells me the story isn't over yet, and that makes me very happy!!!

GREAT LISTEN AND SUPER COOL SERIES...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT..AND EVERYTHING MARK TUFO WRITES..JUST 1 CLICK THEM ALL...THANK ME LATER!!!

2nd time was just as awesome...Love The Walking Dead easter egg...all of it was awesome!!

3rd time just as awesome!!! I am ready for #11!!!!

Talbot is back, along with the rest of the gang!

Once again, and I've said this before, Mark Tufo reiterates just why he is my favorite fiction author. His attention to details, ability to bring even the sights and smells (especially the smells, not always good either) to life, and the constant banter of drama and comedy melded together in a series that succeeds in incorporating all manner of our most classical monsters together in one very interesting saga. Did I mention the absolutely hilarious shit-talking and classic Mike bashing?

This episode of the Talbot clan sees them finally deciding to leave the homestead fortress in upper Maine. The reintegration of the evilest woman alive, Mrs. Deneaux, into the group automatically creates its own fair share of tension and anticipation. The fact that she starts behaving nicely, relatively speaking, and goes out of her way to save Mike multiple times, as well as personally being active in the group's survival, has everyone wondering just when the other shoe will drop. Forces beyond our immediate dimensions seem to have their own goals of destiny, and Deneaux's actions appear to be destroying any previously known timelines. Including any remaining predestination formed by events over generations, leaving Tommy's ability to foresee their immediate future dwindling by the day.

As usual, we get deeper looks into the old lives of favorite characters, such as B.T. And, we come across some new twisted souls along the way. Although it's tough to say where and what will happen next, it's clear the toughest journey they have made yet is now under way. What they will encounter along the way is sure to be interesting, that's for sure. And so far, they've gotten off to an extremely rocky start, literally riding the edge in reverse between death and heart pumping life.

Can't wait for the next one!

Well what can I say, a story that keeps giving, with more to follow I hope.

The Talbots are on the move again to find their utopia, with lots of blockades to slow their progress.
Still the great characters that we have grown to love over the series with the usual great banter between Mike and BT, and lots of zombies.

Fantastic read 20/10

Highly recommend any of Mark Tufo's books. The right amount of gore, horror and humour.

The Action Never Stops!

I love these books. How can one man think of all these scenarios? The characters are great, the plot is fabulous and the humor adds so much to the storyline!

Continuation of the saga. Good, but the author needs to identify a new direction for the characters. What happened to their ability to communicate with the zombies?

My original Those Left Behind audiobook review and many others can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.

Zombie Fallout 10: Those Left Behind is as riveting as the others.  From day one, it has been clear that Mike Talbot is unique and is full of witty sarcasm.  He continues to hold the world and fate of his loved ones in his hands knowing that one mistake or judgement can bring it all crashing down around him.  We say goodbye to some longtime favorites and witness the return of some not so favorite people (will not spoil anything here).  BT proves himself more than capable of handling Knox in a hilarious yet unique manner then stepping aside so Mike and Knox can measure who has the biggest ... and most believable lie in a standoff.

I have watched Mark Tufo grow as a writer working his audience without mercy subjecting them to moments of humor, darkness and sarcastic wit.  He weaves his stories well and connects them expertly.  Tufo grows suspense even when you know what’s going to happen next, because he puts a slight spin on it eliciting a “I really didn’t see that one coming” response. His characters continue to grow and show more of their true colors and intestinal fortitude.  Tufo has created and grown Talbot, BT, and Trip in many ways making them seem more life-like.    I would not be surprised to see Talbot, BT and Trip being selected, hands down, as the best folks to be stranded with in an apocalypse.

Tufo, as usual keeps his listeners off-balance but this time with an unlikely frenemy that has turned over a new leaf ... Don’t miss this book, the darkness is beginning again but more intensely and with gripping action.  As a storyteller, Tufo is a artisan who hones his skills and books with precision – his internal dialogues are excellent and unfortunately for some of us – right on the money realism wise!

As usual the narrator, Sean Runnette takes the book and owns it Talbot style.  He draws the listeners in and holds them there with his talent and skill at projecting Mike, BT and the other characters to perfection.  His voice is clear and he drops Talbot witticisms skillfully, almost as if second nature.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook.

This is a must listen!

First I have to say this: Deneaux and BT are probably my two favorite characters, aside from Mike. I'm of Mike's thinking, Deneaux must be impossible to kill. I wish I was a quarter that badass here in my 30's as she is in her late 100's? LOL

That said, I was REALLY disappointed with this entire book; it seemed like it was a complete exercise in mundane (for a/Tufo/Talbot ZA) futility. Mike came up with no badassery, the vampires aren't present (except a seemingly useless Tommy) and it is PAST time to unravel the mystery that is Trip! In addition to this, when are we going to see these 'glimpses' of divergent paths Tufo keeps showing us tantalizing glimpses of? After waiting so long for book 10, there seemed to be absolutely ZERO forward momentum for the Talbot family and the plot at all.

(Okay the zombie that spoke was pretty damn cool but even that thread dried up)

I found it to be the single most awful book in the Fallout series. Tufo really needs to write a 5-600 pager and pick up the pace, it's time to lay this reality to rest already!

Great book

Though I loved these books I'm a bit gutted by the ending as I'm not sure what happens to them all and why it ends the way it has.
There was not an exactly happy ending or a idea on wether the story continues.
But I will continue to follow Mike's new journeys in the next books th hat mark has written about the great Mike Talbot.

Those left behind, Zombie Fallout 10, though entertaining, could easily be consolidated into a partial book. To me, it feels like more back story on characters than anything. And knowing we’re near the end of the series, why do we have to know it?
As the series runs to an end and the group tries to find a distance place to live. We find out a lot of things about Deneaux  and the others. I think more than half the book is back story, and nothing but a rehash of what has been done before. So it really becomes a good thing that there is only one more book.
Mike is not really evolving as a character, and neither is BT or the family. I really would like to see the series come to a close but there is a lot of things that need to be pulled together that has not happened at this time. It's like Mark is running away from ending the series.
I have a few questions, like who the heck edited the series for the last few books? Really? Fixing the story telling will help a lot. Get rid of repetitive words and move us forward in the story line.
Those left behind, well, I kind of wish I left it behind. Maybe the next book in the series will allow the circle to be closed and those left will be left. But until then, I think if he writes another book after 11 I'll be ignoring it.

Another good installment. I’ve listened to these 11 books in a row. (The series has a 3.5 book which is why there are 11 so far). That’s over 100 hours of listening and I did it in about a month. I’m going to go into Zombie Fallout withdrawal.

There are other Michael Talbot stories that I could listen to and part of me really wants to, but another part needs a break. I LOVE this series but listening to them all in a row kind of makes me glaze over in some parts, especially when combatting zombies. You would think that would be a part of the story that would grab my attention more, but it’s always the same....Mike’s going to survive. So I’ve realized that the books have become a little redundant.

I love the addition of Deneaux. (Not sure I spelled her name right as I’ve only listened to the stories and never seen them in print.). She adds tension because you just don’t know what she’s up to and I kind of root for her because she will always claw her way to the top.

Ummm- why would anyone think that a pregnant zombie would have a human baby in her womb??!!

I think I’ll listen to Riley’s (the dog) stories next. Still in the same universe, but not following Mike.

I absolutely love Mark Tufo and the entire Zombie Fallout series. I have all the books and all the audiobooks. It's like getting to enjoy each one a second time. Sean Runette is perfect and I apologize if I messed up his name, but the audio versions bring a whole new joy to the series. I fear however that Mr. Tufo has ruined me from all other zombie-genre writers. After this series, I just can't get into any others:/ I just finished #10, and once again, I am chomping at the bit, waiting for another installment to be written and released. The greatest honor that I can give Mr. Tufo, is the honest FEAR I have that this series will one day end. I have loved all things zombie since my mother took me, still in utero at nine months, with her to a screening of George A. Romero's "Dawn of the dead". I have seen every zombie related movie (hundreds) and read just about every zombie related book and graffic novel, and none have stayed with me like the Zombie Fallout series. Mr. Tufo, you are right up there with George A. Romero in my eyes. Keep doing what you do best!

Okay, don't feel right only giving this four stars because I love Mark Tufo's work but this time I didn't feel the story actually progressed enough. Don't get me wrong, there were still plenty of laughs and as always I find myself really enjoying the content and the silly conversations and nabs which just don't get old. However, there just wasn't enough progress to the whole story. Mrs Deneaux joins them again, and they go back and forward a little. The new satellite technology that allows them to see so much is pretty cool, but where are the bad guys from the previous book? We only seem to get a few clues. It does leave you wondering how the hordes seem to keep finding them...I am hoping that it is building huge suspense for the next one.

Life never really gets easier for the Talbot crew. Arguably the worst road trip plan they've had so far. They are trekking across the u.s with about 30 souls and animals trying to get to Etna station while zombies continue to evolve in new and tactically horrifying ways. Vampires seem to be out of the picture but they are in no way safe. It is hard to say whether the use of the satellite tracker helps their journey and just makes it more scary knowing where the zombies are.

After several nail biting situations, where individually are all of them almost die. This book can only be described as a roller coaster of mortality. Mrs Deneaux is also shockingly frank and helpful which can only mean hell may have frozen over.

The Talbot family encounters an unexpected twist with the return of the old hag. Despite their animosity towards her, they are forced to accept her help as she brings vital satellite imagery that could ensure their survival.

Amidst the chaos, zombies evolve, becoming increasingly intelligent. A new human adversary emerges, attempting to conscript BT by force. The family’s unity is tested as they rescue him and seek refuge away from their once safe haven.

Leaving the precarious safety of their makeshift shelter, the Talbots cross paths with two newcomers. Their journey is marked by close calls and unexpected alliances, highlighting the old hag’s crucial role in their survival.

this is one of my favorite Zombie Fallout books!

This book contains my favorite scene in all of the zombie fallout box the part where they have to drive the dump truck out of the Quarry pit it is the most crazy scene and if the series ever comes to video or animation or whatever I want to see that scene so bad it’s like nothing anybody else has ever written as far as I’m concerned love that scene it is crazy. But then pretty much everything to the right is pretty crazy so get in the car strap yourself in and get ready for a heck of a bumpy ride enjoy at all - it’s well worth the journey.

4.5 stars - I didn't love the cliffhanger but Mike & BT are so consistently hilarious in this one that I forgave it to some extent.

The Talbotts are on the move! Sort of. The continuing saga of Mike, Tracey, BT, Tommy, and assorted others, just trying to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Deneaux returns and seems to be trying to make amends. Operative word being SEEMS, of course. Only one minor character lost and we meet a new human villain (I swear I thought he was going to be Durgan reincarnated.)

While there are still some amazing parts to this book, without a great antagonist anymore or over arching goal, this book really just felt stagnant. They allude to some possible goals, but it really feels fleeting. It also felt rather forced to have Deneaux come back. There are some wickedly awesome scenes still, but I just felt there was no really goal or purpose for this book in the thrust of the series. Hopefully the next one will get on point because this one made me feel like it might be time to wrap this series up.

I have continued to listen to the audio-book version of Tufo's books and this was no different. Sean Runnette is still frickin awesome as the narrator! I really enjoyed this book as I have the others in the series though the ending felt a little off to me. I am definitely looking forward to the continuation of the series and finding out what was going on when this book ended. The smooth flowing story along with the great humor with Mike, B.T., and of course Trip (one of my favorite characters) helps make the book great.

I loved all the Zombie fallout books. But the way Book 10 ends was such a shock. I was just reading along all caught up in the story and then that was it! I felt like half a book was published I was so upset I had to keep checking to make sure someone hadn't ripped half my book out.. super disappointed in the ending. But I love the story, I love the characters, nothing I would complain about except I am having book withdrawals because of the abrupt ending without even a safe house on the horizon.. I just hope 11 comes before I purge the trance of these books.

Still amazing.

So I took a small break from reading some of Mr.Tufos books but within five minutes of reading this book I felt like I was saying hello to old friends who were gone for a while. I missed them and was very excited to learn what they have been up to.I don’t like to leave spoilers but I will say this, anything that Mark Tufo has written has been a great read. He writes about zombies and I’m reading it he writes about science fiction things and I’m reading it, and I’m not just reading it I’m loving them. And you will too, but don’t take my word for it, read it.

Awesome read!!

Nothing more entertaining than a Mark Tufo book!! Talbot and his group, including at least one totally crazy person, and of course our favorite weird smoking women, decide to go to Seattle. Heart stop crazy stuff, as usual, along with Talbot's crazy sayings. The crazy going up stairs over packages of potato chips, sent me looking for my bag of Lays potato chips....lol
A can't miss read, in this epic series!!

Ten books in, and Mark Tufo has me wondering how "Those Left Behind" isn't even the slightest bit stale. He keeps his universe evolving and his characters changing with it.

Decisions, decisions!

What a mess our people are going through! Their short respite from the constant onslaught of dead things was just that…short lived.
The arrival of a huge horde cements the decision to leave Ron’s place and head for Washing state and sets off another chain of catastrophic events. Poor Mike keeps losing family like a wound seeping blood. And Vivian! What is her purpose in the grand scheme of this game of the Gods???

Some series run into fatigue through out its run, especially the longer it goes. I kind of expected that from this series now that the original villain has been deposed. But no! This series is still going on as strong as ever. This was a great book in the series and like always, I can't wait for the next one.

Lived this series

I love this series. I first listened to it (Zombie Fallout 1) as a library rental and promptly bought the rest of the series. Not only is Sean Runette a great narrator but Mark Tufo STILL
makes me laugh. After 10 books and numerous re-reads. # of times read so far: 1

Loved It
Deneaux's character in this book was insanely good and I appreciate the evolution and interactions. The story is so addicting and entertaining that I wish they would do more with this series, but sometimes when you make it into a TV show or movie it ruins the concept. I highly recommend this series and hope you all enjoy it.

Not sure how I felt about this book. As a fan of the series, this book didn't grab my attention, it was too wordy, and kept me flipping pages, in hopes the next chapter was better. I guess the old Mike, and his antics. It may be time to wrap it up.
