I received a free copy of this book directly from the author Ms. Caroline Peckham. Thank you Caroline, this is my review

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! This is the best novel in the entire series. I cannot wait to see how this entire showdown plays out.

There are so many lies, twists and tricks throughout this entire series; it's fantastic! The pressure that May feels knowing this is all happening because of her link. The pain everyone else feels because they want to keep each other safe.

This novel has such a fantastic Jurassic Park feel. I'm almost sad this was the last Gateway Challenge. Slika and Howl the Ellifor's were beyond adorable and made me kind of think of How to Train Your Dragon kinda sorta!

Oliver and Rogan's friendship throughout this entire series has been really powerful, amazing and funny. I love their scenes today; Rogan has such a great sense of humor.

Again I'm rooting for my favourite pairing. Their thunderstorm scene from the previous novel cementing them in my brains as end game; and the way this novel ended oh boy!

This series just keeps getting better and better ! I cannot wait for the final novel; I need more of this world and these characters! I need some happily ever after action after all the pain these characters have been through! Such an engrossing tale!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I was going to give this book 4 or 3 stars honestly, depending on how the rest turned out after the training. That’s what took me a while to get through, the training. I wasn’t really all that interested in it and it did drag a bit.

Then, after the training, boy did this story pick up. The challenge was action packed, the drama finally kicked into gear and then after the challenge, the war was intense.

Oh my goodness, after a month of picking at it while catching up on other books, I could not put it down. Get through the training and goodness, this book will tear at your emotions.

That plot twist…I applaud the author, I did not see that coming at all and I was just freaking out. I was screaming internally and then I was fighting not to cry. That couldn’t be it for them!! I really didn’t want to turn the page and then, there was another plot twist!! Oh this author is good. I’m giving her full stars for those.

I would highly recommend this series for anyone.

Thank you for reading my review.

** I volunteered to read an advance reader copy of this book. **

This was so close to a five star rating but for one aspect. However, I love this series! Once again we are dropped right into the action from page one as if there was no delay between installments. I had once referenced this as a mix of Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and the Jetsons. This release once again substantiated those claims. The action scenes played out like a movie and you can tell the characters are about to take down the "Big Bad". I am anxiously awaiting and yet at the same time uncontrollably saddened by the thought that this series will end shortly.

Intense fighting by mages and duds against the ones posessed by varks.
So many casualties in this brutal war caused by William and Rimori.

Who’s the good or the bad guy/traitor amongst the kids? That’s something that kept surprising me!

Even the good are good at playing bad, when they need to. Or are they too convincing and cooperative?

Who will end up with whom, will May survive?
So many mysteries that kept me captivated during reading.

A few parts were slow paced but in the end it’s all worth the wait!

I received a copy and this is my honest and voluntary review.

okay jurassic park!! i’m just upset at how much miscommunication is happening. like why can’t we just tell everyone the plan before we execute it!? AND everyone has no problem lying to their friends and family but god forbid you tell the enemy a lie

Progressing through a Gateway from blazingly hot conditions to incredibly rainy ones, the fight against Rimori gets more intense as the stakes rise higher for Oliver and his friends in Caroline Peckham's Weeping Sky.

To read this, and other book reviews, visit my website: http://makinggoodstories.wordpress.com/.

After entering Theald, Oliver, Rogan, Larkin, Anna, and May face new obstacles in their growing battle against Rimori, including mages hollowed out by Rimori to house varks to do his bidding, monstrously vicious matadiles native to Theald, and undisclosed plans where they leverage one another against Rimori's forces. Assisted by Oliver's uncle Hadus, and the army that Hadus is in charge of, they begin testing for a cure for May's link to Rimori, while simultaneously trying to figure out how best to defeat Rimori and his Warriors of the Arc, at the Council's secret army base. Rimori's increasing, bloody attacks spark Oliver, Rogan, and Anna into action in various ways, alongside the army, in the hopes of keeping the body count from rising too high and becoming victorious.

With events that domino into one another to keep the narrative moving rapidly along, this fourth installment* of the story gathers a rising number of deaths while also delving deeper into the (mostly romantic) emotional sides of Oliver, Anna, Larkin, Rogan, May, Quinn, and Hector. There are more character perspectives offered in this installment as characters take action away from the core group, which offers a more comprehensive concept of the situation as it unfolds and the mental state of all those involved. The text could use some further editing to clean up some of the grammatical issues throughout, but the narrative is still entertaining and moves at a quick clip--and with the rapidity with which these installments are coming out, I can overlook some missing punctuation, transposing him and her, etc.
