For once in his life, Curtis Morrison has it good.
A newly-married detective on the Ash Park police force, Morrison spends his days working to heal the ails of society to make up for his own checkered past. But though he’s come a long way from a life of deadly, bloody secrets he can’t fully recall, not even his wife and baby daughter can silence the old addiction still rattling around in his brain.
And he’s about to learn that a history like his is not the kind you can escape from.
When his wife and child go missing, Morrison finds himself dragged into a nightmare game controlled by a sadistic monster hell-bent on making him pay for sins he’s repressed for nearly twenty years. Whoever took his wife isn’t after her—they want Morrison to suffer. And with each day that passes, his family’s situation grows more dire.
Now Morrison must explore a past he’d hoped he’d left behind to save the people he loves, awakening the beast he’s tried so hard to forget. What he uncovers is far worse than he imagined, every clue dragging him away from the life he’s painstakingly built and back to a place he’d very nearly succumbed.
The clock’s ticking. And this time, he might not make it out alive.

Don't like this kind of books, they aren't entertaining. Too much detailed what he is thinking, analyzing what others doing or might be doing. Bloody crimes against most vulnerable, gruesome acts. Psychological thriller.
A few words quickly come to mind after finishing this book: dark, disturbing, grisly, monstrous. All of the main characters have deeply troubled histories. Detective Morrison never told his wife about his previous addiction to heroin or that he doesn't remember a part of his life years ago when he woke from a drugged stupor with his best friend's blood on his hands. Morrison's partner Detective Petrosky's teenaged daughter was murdered and he lives with the pain daily but would give his life for Morrison and family. Morrison's wife suffers from postpartum depression and worries that her medication won't be enough to keep the demons at bay.
As Morrison and Petrosky work the rape and murder of a boy near his school, two different boot marks may indicate one rapist and one who watched, then killed. When Morrison's wife and baby are kidnapped, he must search the darkness in his past to locate them. I felt his fear for his wife and baby. I also felt his need to give in to the oblivion that heroin would give him.
Although this book was originally published in 2016, I only received a copy from a Goodreads giveaway a couple of weeks ago. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I would like to. The epilogue in this book is bone chilling.
Note that there are graphic scenes of violence in the book.
Repressed is the brilliant third book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. WOW! This book was intense, dark, disturbing, chilling, graphic, dramatic, and gripping!! This psychological thriller is a superb addition to the series and had me swinging between never wanting to put it down, and needing a break from the tension and suspense. I was glued to the pages from beginning to end, reading it in one sitting- and absolutely loved every mind twisting minute. The series has been such a fantastic read, and this book just took the series to another level. I didn’t think it could get any better, but I was wrong! This book could be read as a standalone, if you wanted to, but there is a recurring cast of characters and snippets of backstory and previous plot information that pop up in this book, so reading all the books would give you a bigger picture and provide a larger, more developed perspective- which in turn will enhance your overall reading experience. The books are all really great- quite intriguing and suspenseful, so you it’s really a win-win situation! I knew when I met Curtis Morrison back in book one that there was going to be so much more to him that what he was letting on, or what we were being shown- and man-oh-man this story really unveils him in a raw and revealing way! His story was startling, intense, emotional, and unforgettable! He has been through so much and come so far, but his past just won’t let him forget! After the harrowing events in the previous book, and Curtis and Shannon getting married and having little Evie, this book picks up with them adjusting to parenthood, Shannon trying to manage with Postpartum depression, and Curtis returning to work after a month off. Things are never simple in Ms. O’Flynn’s world, because it’s not long before we are once more swept into another brilliantly twisted tale. This is definitely the best of the bunch so far! Bring on book #4!
3.5 stars. In this third Ash Park book it is Morrison who is a nervous wreck. it seems like his past has come back to haunt him. He has never told his wife (prosecutor Shannon Taylor) about his past as a drug addict but its all going to come out now. An unknown person is targeting him and wants him to suffer. Everything seems to be going wrong. And then his wife and baby daughter are kidnapped. That part was a bit hard to read as it was quite brutal.
Like a lover, the siren call of heroin is whispering in Morrison's brain as he is stressed to the max and trying desperately to save his family. Its all tied to his past but a lot of his past is a blank and he won't be able to remember those bits without the drugs. So he struggles with the craving while he tries to work out who is targeting him before its too late for Shannon and his daughter. Melodramatic much. Very suspenseful but - over egged?
This book was breathtakingly addictive. The details of the emotions were very well conveyed, to the point that I was almost feeling them. The suspense was ramping up and didn’t stop until the end. The characters were well crafted and felt almost real. I look forward to reading more of this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Riveting and suspenseful! This book was impossible to put down and feasibly one of the best books I've had the pleasure of reading this year. I wasn't expecting the turn this story just took; it has quite an unexpected surprise that is jaw-dropping good! It is dark with gruesome details; murder, mystery, intrigue, suspense, and passion continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. I am sorry it took me so long to read this suspenseful thriller by Meghan O’Flynn. This is the first time I read a series by this author, Meghan O’Flynn, but I assure you, it will not be the last. REPRESSED astound me so much I actually had a book intoxication. Like an addict, I slurped it up, and then craved another injection until the end of the book. Curtis Morrison thought he had it made—leaving his past secrets behind—since he was a newly married detective of the Ash Park police force until he discovers his secret past pounces on him with a vengeance. When his wife and child go missing, Morrison begins to relive some of his darker moments from his past. A past he thought would never resurface. What happened in his past that was so dark and heinous? Will Morrison be able to figure out who the kidnapper(s) is, and find his family before it is too late? I liked how Shannon, Morrison’s wife, was a strong woman who showed courage, determination, and resilience to help her husband and daughter. There’s something thrilling about watching a fictional mystery unfold as you are reading. Unlike real life mysteries, you get to experience the beginning, middle, and end of the entire whodunit mystery. This is one series I would like to see made into a movie or TV series. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end. So do yourself a favor and buy the series, you will not be disappointed.
********There are spoilers in this review****************** Repressed is an awesome dark mystery in the Ash Park Novel series. I read Conviction and I got hooked on the characters and the story. I absolutely love Morrison, Shannon and Petrosky. I despise Roger. I read Repressed and I was blown away. The story line is believable, creepy, scary and dark. I read a sneak peek of Repressed but I could not have imagined some of the places I went in this book.
****Here comes the spoilers***** First, the author's portrayal of an addict is the best I've read. My drug of choice is food so I don't know what drug addicts go through. However, how her character describes addiction made me believe I understood their mindset. Second, the villains (well the main villains) in this story are written so beautifully. They are all so twisted and dark. I did not expect this from Repressed, but I was all in. All the villains gave me the heebie jeebies, but I wanted to be inside their heads (maybe I need to examine that?). Third, Roger. I hate him, I hate him, I hate him. He is such a dick. At times, I hated him as much as the villains. But the author should be proud of Roger; she writes really good dicks. Finally, the writing is on point. I didn't want to put this book down. There was such a nice flow to the words. No extra stuff that no one needs and all the information you do. Can you tell I loved this book? If you want a fast read, a really good story, and some darkness, this is the book for you.
Repressed is a story that will make you feel what an addict feels. It is a roller coaster ride of emotions and trials. I don't want to give out any spoilers so I shall just leave it at like this. A great story!!!! I received an ARC of this book, but the review is totally voluntarily.
Holy fracking wow! Repressed is another impressive chilling thriller from Meghan O’ Flynn. I must confess, after each of the Ash Park novels that I read by the ever talented O’ Flynn, I am more enamored than I was with the previous one I just praised as the best of the series. O’ Flynn really has the knack for drawing in the reader and holding you and your thoughts hostage long after you finish the last page. Each of the books could be read as standalones, but I would read them all and in order. For one, as mentioned, they are all great, but they do build in plot and stories, as well as have characters that we do get glimpses of in each of the books, and two, why not?? It is the perfect season and they are all available to scoop up and enjoy!
Repressed gives us the story of Curt Morrison. I always knew that there was more to Curt but I had no idea what was to come from him that is for sure! (No spoilers here though!) Though, as we follow him in his new life with his wife and adorable new daughter we begin to learn about some deep and dark demons that lay ‘repressed’ in his past. The case that Morrison and Petrosky are working on also becomes an overlying factor and everything Morrison has ever cherished will come into jeopardy. Will he be able to conquer his past demons and do whatever it takes to protect the ones that he loves now? Or will the past finally come to catch up to him?
This book touches on some difficult subjects, like the others have, but it is done in a way that makes the story flow. Every piece is necessary to the novel, and tells the story that the reader needs to fully understand all that is going on. Nothing is done without care to details. You can tell these are topics close to Meghan O’ Flynn’s heart. I personally cannot wait to get my hands on the next novel, which will be right after I finish this review. I think a storm is brewing outside too, perfect weather for an Ash Park novel!! Thank you so much for another amazing novel, Meghan O’ Flynn!
Repressed (Ash Park #3) by Meghan O'Flynn was a dark, gritty psychological thriller, that like the past books in this series, had me hooked from start to finish.
The third book is the Ash Parks series, we are once again tossed into a deadly game, and one that surrounds a main recurring character Curtis Morrison. Meeting him in the first book, and following him to see what he has become, and then this book. I feel like this was happening to a close friend. Man I should not be benign reading this series, but I can't stop. Not once I read the synopsis for this one and knowing that Cutis was going to be the next one to be put through hell. I just want to put him in a box, and put up a do not touch sign.
I don't even know where to start. This book, was a lot harder for me because like I said I've been reading from book one. It would have been different if I was reading about a new character getting put through the ringer, but when it's one that's been there from the start, as a new bright eye detective, to now, married, baby.. it hits you hard. The writing does a great job at that, pulling you in, making you see boths sides. My heart was on the floor for most of this book. Meghan O'Flynn has a way with keeping the tone dark, gritty and has this way of just keeping the suspense, the mind games and the mystery high. And not just with the killer but with our MC as well. Cause we get to learn new things about Curtis, darker things. And as we have seen lately, your past is never truly buried.
Overall this book, so far, for me, has been the darkest, twisted, and the most engaging/entertaining read of the series. As much as I felt like my heart was about to be boot/ㅋ***** across the room, I could not put it down, look away, or breath. This book, and this series is fast becoming a fav of mine, and possibly the best of the year. So yes, I give this book and series my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Repressed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 3) By: Meghan O’Flynn 5 out of 5 stars
The story Repressed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 3) by Meghan O’Flynn is the next book in a series that had me hooked from the first story. Each one draws you in from the very beginning and at times had me holding my breath. This book is thrilling and has an atmosphere of mystery that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I just had to know how it all turned out. One of the main characters in this book is Detective Curtis Morrison. He is a good detective and now newly married. Little does he realize that his history is going to collide with the present. I really liked reading about the character of Detective Morrison. He is a man that works hard to solve the cases he is assigned. He also is a man that has demons that constantly make their presence known. There are things that Morrison can’t recall about his past. Gaps that he can’t fill in. No one has become more important to him than his wife and child. When they go missing the emotions, worry, and anxiety that he feels are off the charts. How far will Morrison go in order to get them back? Now he finds himself in a nightmare situation. He is at the mercy of someone who wants him to suffer. Will he be able to save the ones that he loves the most? This story constantly had me on the edge of my seat. When reading about the clues and leads in the book I felt like I was trying to solve a puzzle. There are dark players in this story that take actions that would have anyone demanding justice. There are others that I really enjoyed reading about their part in the storyline and their interactions with Morrison. I highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading the next one in the series.
Repressed (Ash Park #3) By Meghan O’Flynn Rated 5 stars
This one is not for the faint of heart. It’s a little dark and covers a subject not many people are fans of. While I enjoyed the story my heart was pulled out of my chest numerous times. Wishing this would happen or hoping that everything would turn out okay. I was Shocked....Disappointed....Sad and disgusted a couple times while reading. I think some of those is because I had such hope for Morrison and Shannon after Book 2. Then this book happened.
Morrison has a huge monkey on his back. We learned about this monkey in the last book. To me it was interesting but yet sad being in the mind of an addict. The dark thoughts vying for drugs while the good thoughts try to overcome. Such a struggle. Will Morrison come out the other side a solid man or a troubled one?
Each book gives us an insight to these characters. We see the good and the bad. Petrosky seems to be behind the eight ball with no desire to get out. He is a good cop who loves his new family. Hopefully they can keep him on the straight and narrow. Petrosky and “California” aka Morrison are amazing partners. They seem to help each other and their bantering makes the book a little lighter. Shannon while not having a huge part....has a huge part (read the book to understand). She is an anchor for Morrison as well as Petrosky.
This is the third book in the series and is a good psychological thriller. I felt the story was a bit slow at first (getting the story set up) but as it moved forward I could hardly put this down. The characters are amazing. This author knows how to write a crazy, mind numbing, soul searching story. I can’t wait to start reading the next one after reading the Epilogue.
WOW! Truly impressive book! Repressed is the third book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This book follows Morrison and of course his new lovely wife and their new daughter. Petrosky is in this as well like always. However, we get in depth with Curt Morrison and reach inside him and pull out his demons. Unlike the other books, this one seems to be a bit darker. The demons that one fights inside the brain can be truly tough and very hard to conquer. On top of that previous addiction usage doesn’t help the situation either. This book also covers depression in several ways. Just like the other books, this book also follows a case that Morrison and Petrosky are working on. This one involves little boys and pedophilia that has escalated to murder. It also has to do with Morrison’s past and someone wanting him to pay. I loved reading this one because Morrison’s character seems so real and relatable. He’s like a person that everyone has known at some point and time in their life and his struggle is something completely valid. As I said…this book is a bit more dark and a bit more intense. But as the story unfolds all the pieces click together perfectly. I love how all the main characters remain in the series but there is one character that each book focuses on. It makes it feel like a drawn out movie and somehow all the books and parts link together. It’s truly awesome! I simply cannot get enough of this series and I cannot wait to read the rest of the books!
Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is the third book in her Ash Park Novel series and it just keeps getting better and better. Follow the same characters through more adventures, we get to see just how dark, twisted and psychologically thrilling that O’Flynn can be. This book gives the reader exactly what they are looking for, the flash backs, the grave danger, the killer’s point of view, and a great mystery to solve. Getting to see more of Petrosky, Shannon, Evie and Morrison still just warms me up. Petrosky really shines as a hero in this book which is a definite change of pace. The loyality and comradery that connects all of these characters together really made this a fantastic book as well as a series. While this book is in the middle of the series, I believe the characters really came alive in this one more than any of the other books. Getting to see the development from one book to the next I had a really hard time putting this book down. The creatures that go bump in the night in Repressed really will take your breath away, all while making it nearly impossible to sleep without the lights on. While Repressed is part of a series, I do think that it is possible to read on its own. The first two novels in this series are really setting the stage for Repressed, so I completely recommend reading all the books in order, as the character development really shines throughout.
Repressed By Meghan O’Flynn is volume three in the Ash Park Novel Series. And this by far is the best one that I have read. This book is true definition of a thriller, Very dark, twisted, and fully shows you, not everyone is who they appear to be. O’Flynn again gets down to the dirty so to speak by creating these amazing characters, giving us a mystery that we feel we are in the middle of, and hating when we see those we have grown to love in the series in danger. I just know that each time I get to visit Ash Park, I am never disappointed and always a book that I cannot put down! Another FIVE star read! Morrison is freshly married and content with his life until an old addiction starts to take over his mind and show that the secrets from his past can’t always stay buried. When his wife and daughter come up missing and he learns this monster who truly wants him to suffer from sins he committed years ago. As time is working against him, he must face something he has tried so hard to forget, awakening a monster, to save those he loves. Each book grabs you, and makes you want to read more about Ash Park, but for some reason this book stuck with me, even when I was done and put it down. If you are looking for a good read, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!
Curt Morrison homicide detective hasn’t been married a long time. He and his wife Shannon had a baby girl not too long ago, a darling named Evie. Shannon is going to go back to work as a prosecutor soon and decides to go visit a child she had as a surrogate for a friend. Shannon has had some postpartum depression issues and she continues to lack confidence in her mental faculties. She and the baby depart and Curt does not want to risk undermining her self confidence by calling and checking on her trip. The story descends into a dark area when a boy is found murdered close to his school and shortly after a lady is also found dead. The murders appear to surround Curt’s family and he is trying to cope with Shannon’s absence and the new cases. After a day goes by with no contact from her, Curt starts to imagine something bad has happened to Shannon and the baby. He is so worried, he thinks about taking a hit of heroin to calm him down but fights it off. He’s been sober for close to two years. All the twists and turns in this book keeps one on the edge of their seat but the gruesome detail of these murders is hard to take. I could only read so much before having to set the book aside, and pick it up later. It took 6 days to finish! The end was worth the wait.
Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is the third book in her Ash Park series. These books can be read as stand-alone’s and they are all designed to take you on a fast paced journey. Morrison has a dark past. One he keeps hidden from everyone, including his wife and daughter. Instead, everyday, he goes to work and attempts to help others to make up for his secrets. But all secrets must come out in the end. And for Morrison, he is forced to face his past when his wife and daughter are taken. Racing against time he finds himself thrust back into a world he thought he had left behind. And the longer he is there the worst things become. Can he save his family? Or will he lose himself in the process?
This series honestly just keeps getting better. This is easily my favourite so far. From the moment I read he blurb I couldn’t wait to delve into Morrison’s story, I couldn’t wait to find out what had happened in his past and whether or not he could save his family. The book was intense and fast paced, just like you cole to expect from this author. It easily holds your attention all the way through. I cannot wait to see what else is to come!
Repressed was a great 5 star read and is book three in the Ash Park series. All I can say is wow, after reading this book, it was disturbing, dark, intense and twisted. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down.
I was excited to get to know Morrison better in this book. He is newly married and a new dad on top of it. He had a serious addiction in his past that has caused some blank spots in his memory. When his family is kidnapped his past comes spiraling back.
Will he be able to save them in time?
This was a fast paced read that twisted me in so many directions. There is so much going on I don’t want to give anything away. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. I have to say I wouldn’t be disappointed if Roger fell off the face of the earth, I did not care for him at all. My emotions were all over the place and I was on the edge of my seat. Meghan does a great job with her writing and all the detail, she pulled me right in. You feel like your right there with the characters. If you love dark suspense this is definitely the book for you. This can be read as a stand alone. Warning: some scenes are gruesome and could be triggers for some.
Repressed is the third story in Meghan O’Flynn’s Ash Park series and I think she has done it now … I have nothing to say but “she has arrived”, roll out the carpet! Repressed is THE story of Detective Curtis Morrison who we met in the first book and learnt more about in the second book … but still (zen) waters run deep … his checkered past seems to be catching up to him – his wife (who we also met in the previous books, the second book was her book) and baby daughter go missing and there is this sadistic monster that is ruling this nightmare that he has initiated to make Morrison to pay for the sins from twenty years ago… The story is dark, disturbing … it is very graphic, the violence, it leaves you shuddering… the way the writer describes addition, it blows your mind … the story is fast paced and you will get a mystery with its beginning, middle and the end! If this is your first book of the series, it will pull you in and you will want to read the other ones and I promise you, you should! I started with book four and now when I have also read the first three, I keep thinking about the fourth one and lamenting what I missed … I think it deserves a re-read!
Wow, what a read! I think I am still trying to process most of the book – I’m definitely glad I read it in the day!! It was dark, gritty and whilst I don’t condone the things that happen in the story it is after all a story, and one that was very well written. The book honestly left me on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion and I did have to put it down a few times to gather my thoughts! The characters were complex, Morrison and Petrosky worked well together. I thought that the story was well paced and it was extremely well written. It’s definitely not for the fain-hearted but the author has done an amazing job with telling such a twisted story that absolutely captivated me from beginning to end. The action never stops and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough so I could see what was going to happen. This could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the series in order. I look forward to the next book in the series!
Repressed is another haunting read by Meghan O’Flynn! It’s the third book in the Ash Park series, a series I would recommend reading in order as the series continues with characters that were introduced in book 1. This book, like all of this authors work, is dark, twisted, detailed, action-packed and so suspenseful. From the very first chapter I was pulled in, I read it in one sitting as all of the detail had me sitting on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t want to get answers to all of my questions.
This book followed Detective Morrison, a character that had intrigued me from his first appearance and still does even after reaching the end of this one. Meghan writes with so much emotion and detail that I could picture Morrison’s brain spinning as he tried to decipher what was going on, which made it highly entertaining.
I can’t wait to read more of this series and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next crime read!
You know how I’m constantly saying that I love reading thrillers? Well, Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn doesn’t even begin to cover my whole adoration for this particular genre. To say that I literally sat on the edge of my seat while reading this book doesn’t even explain all that I felt while reading.
Like I said, I sat on the edge of my seat (figuratively biting my finger nails – I don’t do that, just in my head) and felt like I had to scream at everything and everyone that interrupted my reading.
This whole world building gets better and better with each book, and the fact that the author is able to maintain that suspense throughout the entirety of the book is what astounds me. I kept trying to figure out what was going to happen, but I’ve come to realize with O’Flynn that it’s just not possible. As a reader, you kind of just have to go with the book and the flow of it, and see where everything settles. You will not be disappointed – not one bit. I seriously can’t wait to see where else she takes us! This was definitely another 5 Star Book for me!
Repressed: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 3 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars This third book in this series is beyond amazing. Curtis Morrison has had a rough life, but right now, life is good for him. Newly married, a Detective at Ash Park Police and a baby girl. But all of that comes crashing to a halt when his wife and daughter go missing and his life goes into a tail spin. Someone from his past is coming back to get him, and they are making his live h*ll. He has spent the better half of his adult life trying to get away from the life he left, but someone does not want him to forget. Someone wants him to remember and they want to make him remember in a way that will hurt him the worst, and time is running out. Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most definitely an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book nonetheless. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.
O.M.G. This book is INTENSE. Frightening, scary, gruesome, and intense. I think I was holding my breath through the last half of the book. I know my heart was on edge! I think this one is my favorite of this series so far!
O’Flynn is a sick and twisted kind of author! Which is becoming my favorite kind of author! This book included our favorite characters from the first two Ash Park novels, Detectives Petrosky and Morrison and DA Shannon Taylor who had married Morrison in the last book. This story has our team hunting for a pedophile, a murderer and a kidnapper. What are the chances it’s the same person? What are the chances that it’s someone they know?
There are a lot of “repressed” memories and feelings in this story. (Wow what a great title!) I am surprised there weren’t more bad guys!
“Perhaps one day the other memories would fade as the good in life oozed in to the crowd out the tragedy.”
I definitely recommend this story but advise that starting with book one will help you understand the characters feelings and personalities that much more.
This is the third book in this series and I have to say that as with the first two this book really gets the reader and pulls you in. I don't normally read this genre but I found that I couldn't put this book down. The author has a very unique way to draw out the story and get your mind going.
This was a good chance to get to further know Morrison. I found that as the books go on you are getting more and more into the lives of the characters. The demons that they each face and the way that they have become who they are. I found this to be quite refreshing and also original. The author really draws the reader into the dark pasts and you feel as though you are there and can really feel their emotional dramas as they have to face with what happened in their pasts and the evil that is still out there that they are fighting to bring to justice. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.
I might have nightmares after reading this story. I’m seriously considering watching Disney movies just to not think about this book before bed. This story was so twisted. The author had me thinking I was reading a Stephen King novel. The mystery of trying to find this killer was so unpredictable. I was truly amazes at how well the author wrote this story. I was freaked out but couldn’t put it down. The way the author described Morrison's addiction was hypnotizing. The throb of his veins for just a taste. You could feel his want and need through the pages. Shanny is a flipping warrior. She has endured so much and to survive and come out on top bravo. I feel so bad for Petrosky. He did what needed to be done in order to save Shanny and Evie and it has cost him something that will be hard to fight. I am so glad I am reading this series. I can’t believe how much I enjoyed reading this book. I’m not usually a fan but this author has me hooked.
Repressed (An Ash Park Novel Volume 3) By Meghan O’Flynn
Repressed is the third book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn and I honestly have to say five stars is not enough. What can I say but another great book. I keep saying that I will not read this series at night again, and what do I do read it in bed before going to sleep. This series is enough to give you nightmare, in some places each book is actually quite scary… well was for me any way. If you want a series that is dark, scary as heck, twisted and yet riveting then you really really need to read this series. But please start at the beginning as I wouldn’t recommend this series as standalone reads. Don’t know where Meghan gets her imagination from but its great and looking forward to more of her work. Think its time for Stephen King to move over as Meghan for me has passed him in a big way.
Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is the third book in the Ash Park Series and is another brilliant addition to the psychological thriller series. Repressed is a lot dark and disturbing, a little chilling and super thrilling. Whenever I read anything from Meghan I know I am in safe hands and always enjoy the fascinating and twisted world in which she weaves. The tension and suspense that built, not only in the story but within myself as I watched what these characters went through was compelling and gripping and had me on edge right the way through. I think this maybe the best book in the series to date. Will they survive all that is thrown at them or give up and give in?
I was so engaged and engrossed in this story that I read it all in one sitting. I highly recommend this book to those who like to read something dark and twisted.
Repressed (An Ash Park Novel #3) by Meghan O’Flynn is a five star novel. This novel picks up a few years after book 2. You could probably read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading it as a series because it is much more comprehensive that way. When we pick up the novel, we are thrown into the middle of the police of Ash Park trying to solve a case about sexual abuse and murder of little boys. The killer has escalated and is now killing his victims instead of just pleasuring himself with the abuse. He has gotten away with it so far but the detectives know they need to figure out what is going on and solve the case before anymore children get hurt. This book is fast paced and busy with the detectives interviewing other people and trying to catch the predator. I love how it was able to hold my attention right from the jump and keep my attention the whole way through.
